Art Science Convergence Curriculum Design in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era : Focusing on STEAM with Contents (4차 산업혁명 시대 예술·과학 융합 교육프로그램 설계 : 콘텐츠를 활용한 STEAM을 중심으로)

  • The year 2020 was a time when the coronavirus infections-19 (COVID-19) caused various changes in society. In particular, the fields that have been conducted face-to-face have been greatly confused by the transition to an online non-face-to-face method, and this is the case with the field of education. There are two main advantages of offline education. The first is that we can improve our understanding through communication with teachers, and the second is that we can develop social skills through interaction with friends. But as online classes progressed due to corona 19, interaction could not be achieved. As a result, the motivation for learning has been reduced due to difficulties in real-time feedback, and the participation rate has been significantly lowered, especially in lower grades, raising concerns about the learning gap that will occur after corona 19. However, there are some cases in which online classes were conducted as effectively as offline classes by utilizing various contents. What they have in common is the use of content. Teachers generally improved the quality of education by linking interesting sights and videos that enhance learning comprehension. The provided video conveys learning-related content into stories, enabling intuitive observation. Many students were already enjoying these videos through VOD (Video on Demand) such as TV and YouTube, they were able to connect their easy access to content and interest in learning. Appropriate use of video content has rather increased the learning effect and should continue after corona 19. Therefore, it is necessary to study methodologies that apply video content efficiently to education. This study looked at the steps that needed content application through the development of education programs, and observed its meaning. Students were curious about the content, motivated to learn and participated in learning on their own. Intuitive learning, conducted through appreciation, play and content production, provided an opportunity to learn on their own in everyday life.

  • In line with the current era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, it is necessary to prepare for the future by integrating AI elements in the ship sector. In addition, it is necessary to respond to this in the field of power management for the appearance of autonomous ships. In this study, we propose a battery-linked electric propulsion system (BLEPS) algorithm using machine learning's DNN. For the experiment, we learned the pattern of ship power consumption for each operation mode based on the ship data through LabView and derived the battery status through Python to check the flexibility of the generator and battery interlocking. As a result of the experiment, the low load operation of the generator was reduced through charging and discharging of the battery, and economic efficiency and reliability were confirmed by reducing the fuel consumption of 1% of LNG.

  • The 21st century of the 4th industrial revolution demands 'competency' as a new educational concept that is different from that required in the industrialization era. In accordance with these changes and demands of society, universities are being called for key competency-based education and innovation in education through this by breaking away from the existing methods in liberal arts and major education. At this point, universities are presenting a comprehensive reform of liberal arts education for various financial support projects. This study presents the case of University C regarding the reform of the liberal arts curriculum for the innovation of liberal arts education in universities. According to the research results, each university is reorganizing the liberal arts curriculum in a way that can suggest various key competencies according to the university's founding philosophy and induce key competencies in the aspect of liberal arts education. For the key competency-based liberal arts curriculum of University C, we proposed various subjects for insufficient key competency subjects, various micro-degrees were proposed to specialize liberal arts education, and meta-learning-related liberal arts subjects were presented to improve basic learning ability of the students.

  • Computing technology and networking technology in the era of the 4th industrial revolution are rapidly evolving into an intelligent information society. AR, VR, and MR technologies, which are dual immersive media fields, are being applied in many convergence technologies, especially! The development of the health and healthcare field is actively progressing. In the field of health and healthcare, there are many problems due to aging of the population, increase in chronic progress, lack of infrastructure, and lack of professional manpower. services in the field are adopted. Therefore, this study applies cognitive evaluation through a computing system to the mild cognitive impairment, designs and develops a cognitive judgment platform using augmented reality based on the cognitive judgment technology system design, and integrates AI and BigData-based intelligent cognitive rehabilitation in the future. It is used as basic data for service platform development.

  • With the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, education on artificial intelligence is one of the important topics. However, since existing education is aimed at knowledge, it is not suitable for developing the active problem-solving ability and AI utilization ability required by artificial intelligence education. To solve this problem, we proposes PBL-based education method in which learners learn in the process of solving the presented problem. The problem presented to the learner is a completed project. This project consists of three types: a classification model, the training data of the classification model, and the block code to be executed according to the classified result. The project works, but each component is designed to perform a low level of operation. In order to solve this problem, the learners can expect to improve their computational thinking skills by finding problems in the project through testing, finding solutions through discussion, and improving to a higher level of operation.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, everything is data-centric. The type and amount of data may be central, and new data may be required in special circumstances. As 3D printers are used in various fields, there are fields that are newly challenged. In particular, in the medical field, new attempts that have not been considered before are taking place. This paper is a study to enable research in fields that require physical properties of the human body. In the meantime, research using human organs has mainly used the materials made of silicon. We measure the physical properties of the human body from cadavers, apply these characteristics to develop new materials, and develop artificial organs with 3D printers. Using the artificial organs made in this way, you can practice surgery with a robot that removes kidney stones. In this paper, we would like to introduce a series of research processes to develop advanced materials similar to human organs.

Teachers' Perceptions of Software Education in Elementary School Practical Arts Curriculum and Improvement Plan (초등학교 실과 교육과정 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 개선방안)

  • As the era of the 4th industrial revolution began and the importance of software emerged, education also reflected this. Software education has already been provided in several countries, and Korea also started software education in the regular curriculum in 2019, when the 2015 revised curriculum was applied. This study attempted to present an improvement plan for revitalizing software education based on the feelings and difficulties of teachers who conducted software education for the first time in the practical education curriculum in elementary school. For the study, a survey was conducted on 96 teachers in charge of software education in elementary schools in 2019 with 36 questions related to personal competency, class operation method, textbooks and educational materials, class operation content, and educational environment. And three of them were interviewed. As a result improvements are needed, such as improving educational facilities and environment, revitalizing the development and dissemination of high-quality instructional materials, and expanding support for participatory training for teachers and teacher clubs.

  • As public data opened its doors in line with the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, agricultural public data also increased. Currently, the majority of farmers are writing farming diaries due to eco-friendly certification and basic public interest direct payment projects. However, it is a difficult task for busy farmhouses in the aging agricultural community to write farming diaries. Therefore, there have been cases where farming diaries have been filled out on behalf of the farmhouses. However, one may get disadvantaged in terms of receiving eco-friendly certification and public interest direct payment projects. In succession, this paper proposes a system to conveniently write farming diaries by checking the farming diary data stored in the server via categories of crops and dates and finding farming diary public data suitable for the user to automatically fill out the diary.

  • According to the rise of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the need for innovation networks through cooperation between participants is increasing to respond to rapidly changing technologies and corporate environments. Especially, cooperation is essential to solve and innovate problems faced SMEs lacking human and material resources. We conducted a study to revitalize the regional cooperation network by analyzing the current status and problems of the existing SME support network. As a result, We derived a strategy to create a foundation for a regional cooperation network through reorganization of existing cooperation networks, the establishment of customized policies for SMEs, and linkage of support projects. And we derived a strategy for establishing a specialized network for regional innovation as a result of research through Establishing a network for regional bases, strategies for fostering companies by growth stage, and utilizing local data. We expect that it will help establish a policy to support SMEs by preparing an organic cooperation system between local businesses and local networks.

A Study on the Recognition and Development of Skin Care Subjects Using VR (VR 활용 피부미용 교과목 인식과 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, in order to secure an educational environment for the development of skin beauty subjects using VR based on the learners' awareness of VR, a total of 105 learners' perception of VR, VR experience elements, and the development of VR-using skin beauty subjects, questions about general characteristics were conducted using an online questionnaire. As a result of the survey through frequency analysis, factor analysis, and correlation analysis, the higher the awareness of VR, the higher the educational performance and immersion (p<.01). It was found that awareness and interest were high (p<.001). As for the correlation, the higher the VR-using skin care experience factor, the higher the perception of VR-using skin beauty course development. Therefore, it was confirmed that it is necessary to develop and educate skin beauty subjects using VR in line with learners' expectations and the 4th industrial revolution era. Therefore, in follow-up studies, it is considered that it is necessary to develop and operate VR-based skin beauty subjects.
