Multi-View 3D Human Pose Estimation Based on Transformer (트랜스포머 기반의 다중 시점 3차원 인체자세추정)

  • The technology of Three-dimensional human posture estimation is used in sports, motion recognition, and special effects of video media. Among various methods for this, multi-view 3D human pose estimation is essential for precise estimation even in complex real-world environments. But Existing models for multi-view 3D human posture estimation have the disadvantage of high order of time complexity as they use 3D feature maps. This paper proposes a method to extend an existing monocular viewpoint multi-frame model based on Transformer with lower time complexity to 3D human posture estimation for multi-viewpoints. To expand to multi-viewpoints our proposed method first generates an 8-dimensional joint coordinate that connects 2-dimensional joint coordinates for 17 joints at 4-vieiwpoints acquired using the 2-dimensional human posture detector, CPN(Cascaded Pyramid Network). This paper then converts them into 17×32 data with patch embedding, and enters the data into a transformer model, finally. Consequently, the MLP(Multi-Layer Perceptron) block that outputs the 3D-human posture simultaneously updates the 3D human posture estimation for 4-viewpoints at every iteration. Compared to Zheng[5]'s method the number of model parameters of the proposed method was 48.9%, MPJPE(Mean Per Joint Position Error) was reduced by 20.6 mm (43.8%) and the average learning time per epoch was more than 20 times faster.

3D Cadastre Data Model in Korea ; based on case studies in Seoul

  • Due to the increasing demands on the efficient use of land and the fast growth of construction technologies, human living space is expanded from on the surface to above and under the surface. By recognizing that the current cadastre system based on 2D was not appropriate to reflect the trend, the researchers are interested in a 3D cadastre. This paper proposed the 3D cadastre data model that is appropriate to protect ownership effectively in Korea. The 3D cadastre data model consists of a 3D cadastre feature model and a 3D cadastre geometry model, and the data are produced by a 3D cadastre data structure. A 3D cadastre feature model is based on 3D rights and features derived from case studies. A 3D cadastre geometry model based on ISO19107 Spatial Schema is modified to be good for 3D cadastre in Korea. A 3D cadastre data structure consists of point, line, polygon and solid primitives. This study finally purposes 1) serving and managing land information effectively, 2) creating rights and displaying ranges about infrastructures above and under surface, 3) serving ubiquitous-based geoinformation, 4) adapting ubiquitous-based GIS to urban development, and 5) regulating relationships between rights of land and registration and management systems.

  • Application of 3D laser scanner to civil engineering is widely studied in various fields such as tunnel, bridge, calculation of earth volume, construction measurement, observation of rock joint, etc. Some studies on utilization of the 3D laser scanner for calculating the over-break and/or under-break of tunnels have also been carried out. However, in the previous research, the scanning data were usually compared with the 2D CAD blueprint results; although the shape of tunnel structure is relatively simple, for precise calculation of the over-break and/or under-break of tunnels, three-dimensional analysis based on BIM is needed. Therefore, in this paper, a new program that calculates the over-break and/or under-break of tunnels using the 3D laser scanner and the BIM is developed; moreover the effective and rapid process of data treatment is proposed. The accuracy of the developed program was verified by applying the new system to a real tunnels construction field.

  • 4-step 알고리즘을 이용하여 3차원 이미지 위상 정보를 분석하였다. Carre(1966)에 의하여 제시된 위상 분석 기술은 위상이동에 대하여 설명하고 있다. Wyant(1982)에 의한 4-step 알고리즘은 수많은 PSI(Phase-Shift Interferometry)법[1] 중에서 가장 일반적인 내용이다. 그러나 실험장비 설치 시, 매우 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 실험 과정에서 물체의 3차원 형상을 얻기 위해 매우 간단히 실험 설치를 하였다. 간섭 패턴은 추가적인 렌즈, 거울, 모터와 같은 광학장비 없이 랩뷰 프로그램과 비젼 시스템을 사용하여 구축하였다. 4-step method와 컴퓨터 프로그램에 의해 생성된 unwrapping image에 의해 물체의 wrapped된 이미지를 얻었다. 실험에 의하여 얻어진 간섭패턴을 분석 함으로써, 웨이브 프론트, 강도 그래프, 3차원 형상, 상수 데이터와 같은 다양한 정보를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • With MPEG-4 3D mesh coding(3DMC), the problem of the need of a wide bandwidth can be solved to store and transmit 3D information because of its high compression rate. And to realize the 3D information service with broadcasting or internet, one needs to transmit not only the 3D contents but also the 3D player. Therefore, in this paper we implement a 3D player based on MPEG-4 using a java language. A well-known java language employed in this paper provides the player with a wider range of applications, for example, when the O/S or the platform are different, due to its properties of scalability and universality. The implemented player which has functions (translation, rotation, etc) that can manipulate contents decodes the 3D contents and displays them. In addition, the player has a network function that receives a 3D content from the server. This paper explains the architecture and characteristics of the player and shows its simulation results.

  • The resistivity monitoring is a practical method to resolve changes in resistivity of underground structures over time. With the advance of sophisticated automatic data acquisition system and rapid data communication technology, resistivity monitoring has been widely applied to understand spatio-temporal changes of subsurface. In this study, a new 4D inversion algorithm is developed, which can effectively emphasize significant changes of underground resistivity with time. To overcome the overly smoothing problem in 4D inversion, the Lagrangian multipliers in the space-domain and time-domain are determined automatically so that the proportion of the model constraints to the misfit roughness remains constant throughout entire inversion process. Furthermore, a focusing model constraint is added to emphasize significant spatio-temporal changes. The performance of the developed algorithm is demonstrated by the numerical experiments using the synthetic data set for a time-lapse model.

  • Visibility preprocessing is a useful method to reduce the complexity of scenes to be processed in real-time, and so enhances the overall rendering performance for interactive visualization of virtual environments. In this paper, we propose an efficient visibility preprocessing method. In the proposed method, we assume that navigatable areas in virtual environments are partitioned into rectangular parallelpiped cells or sub-worlds. To preprocess the visibility of each polygon for a given partitioned cell, we should determine at least the area-to-area visibility. This is inherently a four-dimensional problem. We efficiently express four-dimensional visibility information on two-dimensional spaces and keep it within a ternary tree, which is conceptually similar to a BSP(Binary Space Partitioning) tree, by exploiting the characteristics of conservative visibility. The proposed method is able to efficiently handle more general environments like urban scenes, and remove invisible polygons jointly blocked by multiple occluders. The proposed method requires O(nm) time and O(n+m) space. By selecting a suitable value for m, users can select a suitable level of trade-off between the preprocessing time and the quality of the computational result.

  • 4대강 살리기 사업으로 인하여 4대강에 대한 전면적인 투자와 공사가 이루어지고 있다. 4대강 사업이 마치게 되면 전국에 많은 수의 대규모 보가 설치되고 설치되어진 보는 각각의 강의 관리에 많은 영향을 미치게 될 것이다. 그러므로 이 4대강 사업으로 조성되는 13억 톤 수자원을 융 복합기술을 이용하여 감시 및 관리를 해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서 실시간 수질 감시 및 모니터링 시스템의 개발과 그에 따른 센서들의 개발을 통하여 4대강 보 운영관리를 위한 통합관리 시스템개발(Ubiquitous River Management)이 이루어 져야 할 것이다. 그동안 계산 시간의 제약을 받아 오던 3 차원 수리동역학의 모의가 컴퓨터관련 기술의 발달에 따라 계산에 소요되는 시간이 계속 단축되고 있으며 이를 수질예측에 사용하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그에 따라 실시간으로 얻은 데이터를 이용하여 모델링 기법을 통해 예측을 해봄으로써 보 내부에 존재하는 여러 취수원 관리에 적용을 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에는 3차원 수리동역학 모델과 수질모델을 결합한 시스템이 저수지 내의 수리특성, 유사이동 및 탁수 현상을 모의하는데 사용이 가능한지를 알아보는 것을 주목적으로 하고 있다. 본 팔당댐 모의에서는 취수구에 따른 수질변화를 모의하기 위해 3차원모델의 사용이 필요하다. 따라서 본 모의에서는 미국 환경부에서 WASP에 이용하기 위해 수정한 EFDC1(2009, USEPA에서 입수)을 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 팔당호의 2009년의 수위, 수온, 유량 및 농도의 실측자료를 이용하여 3차원 수리 모델링을 실시하고, 수위, 유사이동 및 탁도 예측 모델링을 실시하였다. 3차원 수리동역학 모델과 취수원의 적용에 적절한 모델을 구축하기 위하여 적당한 평면격자의 개수를 선택하여 선택되어진 평면격자에서 수직격자의 층수를 조절하여 매 층마다 DYE TEST를 하였다. 이는 각각의 유입 하천에서 오염물질이라 가정하고 농도가 유입되었을 때 수리특성에 의해서 연구지역에서의 농도 변화를 파악하여 미리 예측을 하여서 그에 따라 취수원에서의 취수 관리를 가능하게 할 수 있다. 이를 위해서 평면격자에 따라서 수직 층의 개수를 5층부터 40층까지 모의를 하여서 시간 및 이동변화에 따라 알맞은 모델을 구축하였다. 또한 층수마다 Sediment 모의를 통하여 호 내의 SS의 이동을 모의하였다. 이 역시 취수원의 관리를 가능하게 할 수 있다.

Cognition and Inferences of the Dimensional Terms in Korean (차원의 인지와 한국어 차원 낱말의 추론)

  • This paper examines the aspects of the inferences between the dimensional terms in Korean, and attempts to give an account of the inference patterns based on the interaction of gestalt and position properties of spatial objects. Following Lang (1987) and Lang, Carstensen & Simmons (1991), we advance the idea that the inferences are possible for the same axis of a spatial object, if some contextually induced positional specifications are reversed to the inherent proportion schema. Two simple inference rules are proposed and justified. They are applied under the assumption that the inferences of the dimensional terms are drawn in a unidirectional way, i.e, from the Primary Perceptional Space to the Inherent Proportional Schema.

  • This study concerns with comparing low-dimensional reactor kinetics methods with a three-dimensional kinetics method to be used for safety analysis of light water reactors in order to suggest means of preparing input parameters required for low-dimensional methods. For this purpose a one-dimensional finite difference two-group diffusion theory code ODTRAN and a third-order Hermit polynomial-based point kinetics code POTRAN are developed and used to obtain low-dimensional solutions to the LRA-BWR kinetics benchmark problem. The results are compared with a three-dimensional modified Borresen's coarse-mesh solution of the kinetics problem by CMSNACK code. Through this comparison some simple but practical means of preparing input parameters of low-dimensional kinetics analysis methods are suggested.
