3-D Visualization of Reservoir Characteristics through GOCAD (GOCAD를 이용한 저류층 속성정보의 3차원 시각화 연구)

  • Four seismic reflection horizons in 3-D seismic data, coherence derived from the seismic data, and 38 well logs from the Boonsville Gas Filed in Texas were tried to be integrated and visualized in 3 dimensions. Time surface was constructed from pick times of the reflection horizons. Average velocities to each horizon at 38 well locations were calculated based on depth markers from the well logs and time picks from the 3-D seismic data. The time surface was transformed to depth surface through velocity interpolation. Coherence was calculated on the 3-D seismic data by semblance method. Spatial distribution of the coherence is captured easily in 3-D visualization. Comparing to a time-slice of seismic data, distinctive stratigraphic features could be correctly recognized on the 3-D visualization.

  • Airborne transient electromagnetic (ATEM) surveying was introduced several decades ago in the mining industry to detect shallow conductive targets. However, conventional ATEM systems have limited depth of investigation because of weak signal strength. Recently, the grounded electrical source airborne transient electromagnetic (GREATEM) system was proposed to increase the depth of investigation. The GREATEM is a semi-airborne transient electromagnetic system because a long grounded wire is used as the transmitter. Traditionally, ATEM sounding data have been interpreted with 1D earth models to save the computing time because modern ATEM systems generally collect large data sets. However, the GREATEM 1D modeling requires numerical integration along the wire, so it takes much more time than the 1D modeling of conventional ATEM. In this study, the adaptive Born forward mapping (ABFM) was applied to the ATEM 1D modeling because the ABFM is incommensurably faster than the ordinary GREATEM 1D modeling. Comparing the results from ordinary and ABFM 1D modeling, it was confirmed that the ABFM can be applied to the 1D modeling of GEATEM.

  • This paper proposes 3D graphics accelerator, especially rendering unit, for portable devices. The existing 3D architecture is not suitable for portable devices because of its huge size. To reduce the size, we use iterative architecture and fixed-point calculation. In this paper, we suggest the format of fixed-point comparing with the result images, and some special technique to control. Finally, it is implemented with FPGA and 0.25um ASIC technology respectively. The ASIC chip can execute 47.88M pixels per second. The size of ASIC chip is 4.9287mm*4.9847mm and the power consumption is 263.7mW with 50MHz operation frequency.

  • The study aims to identify the typology of urban-rural migration and its implications. Factors analysis showed that the motivation of migration were economic, idyllic, family, escape of urban life, and farm succession. The most important variable was economic motivation. Cluster analysis also showed that enterprise seeker, small new business seeker, idyllic seeker, and farm successor, This study will be helpful for policy makers to understand urban-rural migration while practical and policy implications were discussed.

  • 본 연구에서는 측정자가 시간과 노력을 소비하면서 3차원 연쇄기구의 공간운 동을 유추적으로 측정한 현재까지의 실험측정을 지양하고, 국내에서 구입 가능하고 염 가인 Apple II와 같은 같은 마이크로 컴퓨터 또는 마이크로프로세서를 이용, 3차원 연 쇄기구의 공간운동을 신속하고 정확하게 측정분석하는 자동 실험장치를 설계 제작한 다음, 이 장치를 일반 3차원 연쇄기구 모델에 적용 측정된 결과를 기호방정식을 이용 한 일반 연쇄기구 운동식의 이론 결과와 비교 검토하였다.

  • The 3-D spatial information systems are effective for systematical urban management and civil administration. They have more visibility than the 2-D spatial information systems with height information. However, the 3-D spatial information systems for local government were developed by central government's master plan of national spatial informatization. It means that the systems are biased toward the 3-D viewing as the visibility like a 3-D display and simulation, without reflected distinct characteristics of the local society. In order to utilize municipalities'3-D spatial information systems efficiently, above all, we have to understand the current status of municipalities'3-D spatial information systems and then have to search the ways applying actively. Therefore, we reviewed the current 3-D spatial information systems and discussed the development directions with central government's national spatial informatization master plans in order to perform properly on the 3-D spatial information system's excellent functions. We analyzed each system characteristics based on the applicability to civil administration which has the potential usage of spatial information. Additionally we suggested the development directions of 3-D spatial information systems for municipalities'through reviewing which civil administrative tasks 3-D spatial information can be applied. The consideration was based on the user demand research of the 3-D spatial information system in Chungcheongnam-do.

The Beauty Dimensions Related to Human Attractiveness (인물의 매력에 관련된 아름다움의 차원)

  • Most marketing practitioners prospect that the beauty industry, which consists of various services and product related to the beauty, will be one of major industries in future. Thus they have been paying more attention to dramatic changes of the beauty industry. Furthermore they have been trying to differentiate their services and products from existing ones because of the tough competition in the market. For scientific marketing of the beauty services and beauty products, the beauty should be able to be measured. However marketing practitioners have no actual method to measure the beauty. In this study, we tried to find the beauty dimensions which are necessary to measure the beauty, based on Langmeyer and Shank(1994)'s study. We collected a total 258 samples as data through survey on university students, and explored the beauty dimension related to human attractiveness, and derived the implications for measuring the beauty. Based on the quantitative analysis, we derived the 4 beauty dimensions related to human attractiveness. The two of them were the inner beauty dimensions(energetic personality and thoughtful personality) whereas the others were the outer beauty dimensions(appearance and style). Additionally we analyzed if the variables, which are gender, perceived social value of beauty, and appearance satisfaction, affect on respondents' beauty perception. The empirical results showed that the beauty perception in the derived beauty dimensions is affected by the perceived social value of beauty and the appearance satisfaction: 1)The both of the inner beauty and the outer beauty are evaluated more positively when the appearance satisfaction is higher, 2)The outer beauty is evaluated more positively than the inner beauty when the perceived social value of beauty is higher.

  • 본 논문에서는 TOF 카메라를 이용한 3 차원 비디오의 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 생성된 콘텐츠를 전송 및 재생하기 위해 MPEG-4 멀티미디어 프레임워크를 사용하였다. TOF 센서로 획득한 데이터를 알파매팅 및 깊이 최적화 과정을 거쳐 고품질의 깊이 비디오를 생성하고 MPEG-4 시스템으로 부호화 한 후 전송하여 사용자에게 3 차원 비디오를 제공한다.

Analysis of the relationship between e-brand personalities and visual attributes (웹페이지 디자인의 이브랜드 개성 구축을 위한 시각조형특성 분석)

  • The brand personality of online products and services is know as its e-brand personality. Although, in the competitive conditions of online markets, e-brand personality is agreed to be an important factor, few studies have suggested how to establish e-brand personality through the visual design of web sites. This study identifies and verifies causal relationships between the visual attributes of web pages and e-brand personalities. The first identifies four major dimensions of e-brand personality on diverse web sites. The second uses 52 experimental home pages to identify key visual attributes associated with those four personality dimensions. The third is a confirmatory study with 16 experimental web sites that verifies causal relationships between visual attributes and e-brand personalities. The results show that two visual attributes, 'simplicity' and 'cohesion,' help to establish a 'bold' personality. Three attributes, 'contrast,' 'density,' and 'regularity,' affect whether a site has an 'analytical' personality. 'Contrast,' 'cohesion,' 'density,' and 'regularity' all influence whether a web site is perceived to have a 'friendly' personality. 'Regularity' and 'balance' were expected to affect the 'sophisticated' personality dimension, but no such impact was observed. The paper concludes with a discussion of implications, limitations, and future research directions.
