Design of a Multi-Band Low Noise Amplifier for 3GPP LTE Applications in 90nm CMOS (3GPP LTE를 위한 다중대역 90nm CMOS 저잡음 증폭기의 설계)

  • A multi-band low noise amplifier (LNA) is designed in 90 nm RF CMOS process for 3GPP LTE (3rd Generation Partner Project Long Term Evolution) applications. The designed multi-band LNA covers the eight frequency bands between 1.85 and 2.8 GHz. A tunable input matching circuit is realized by adopting a switched capacitor array at the LNA input stage for providing optimum performances across the wide operating band. Current steering technique is adopted for the gain control in three steps. The performances of the LNA are verified through post-layout simulations (PLS). The LNA consumes 17 mA at 1.2 V supply voltage. It shows a power gain of 26 at the normal gain mode, and provides much lower gains of 0 and -6.7 in the bypass-I and -II modes, respectively. It achieves a noise figure of 1.78 dB and a IIP3 of -12.8 dBm over the entire band.

In Relation to Entrepreneurship and Export Performance of Small and Medium Manufacturing Firm, the Mediating Effect of Product Differentiation Capabilities (중소제조기업의 기업가정신과 수출성과 관계에서 제품차별화 역량의 매개효과)

  • This study examined the determinants of export performance of small and medium sized manufacturing companies in Korea. Depending on the existing research, taking entrepreneurship and product differentiation capabilities as antecedents of export performance. In addition, the product differentiation capabilities examined whether the role of the mediating effects between entrepreneurship and export performance. Thus, the purpose of the study is look at the integrated model of entrepreneurship, product differentiation capabilities and export performance building and their relationship. On 152 domestic companies, empirical analysis was performed. Empirical analysis was conducted using the PLS(Partial Least Square). And analysis tools were used SmartPLS2.0. In the results of the analysis, risk tolerance and innovativeness of small and medium sized manufacturing businesses, entrepreneurs and product differentiation competence have positive impact export performance in both. Product differentiation capabilities also confirmed that it have a positive impact on the export performance of small manufacturing export enterprises. In analysis of the mediated effect in product differentiation capacity showed a significant mediated effect between innovativeness and export performance. But mediated effects did not indicate a significant risk tolerance. these results suggests the need to actively pursue innovation that more product differentiation capabilities required in export companies to small and medium-sized manufacturing. In other words, when attempting to highlight product differentiation, based on innovation, rather than risk tolerance. In terms of analyzing the mediated role of product differentiation capabilities, this study has theoretical implications for the future research to look at the antecedents of export performance from the perspective of dynamic capabilities and competitive advantage. Also, practical implications in this regard as the innovativeness and taking risks to all important to CEO of small manufacturing enterprises but, stranger in the foreign market competition environment, the role of innovation product is required on raising product differentiation capabilities are presented.

Performance Test of 4Cl Beamline for Protein Solution Scattering at the PLS (용액상의 단백질 구조 분석을 위한 PLS 4Cl빔라인의 성능 테스트)

  • We tested performance of the 4C1 beamline for analyzing structures of proteins in solution using small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) at the Pohang Light Source(PLS). Structurally well-known proteins such as lysozyme and $Bcl-XL(\vartriangle TM/\vartriangle loop)$ were used for the study. Low resolution solution structures of lysozyme and $Bcl-XL(\vartriangle TM/\vartriangle loop)$ were obtained at a resolution of at least i.2 nm, and the structures were basically same as those calculated from the crystal structures of the proteins. We also used $Bcl-XL(\vartriangle TM/\vartriangle loop)$ with a long flexible loop attached [$Bcl-XL(\vartriangleTM))$] and obtained significantly different data from $Bcl-XL(\vartriangle TM/\vartriangle loop)$, although the electron density map of the loop is known to be invisible from the crystal structure of $Bcl-XL(\vartriangleTM))$. We confirm that SAXS experiment is a powerful tool for the structural study of proteins in solution and the 4Cl beamline at the PLS is well-equipped and suitable for the protein solution SAXS experiment.

A Study on Factors Affecting Learning Satisfaction and Continuous Use Intention in Non-face-to-face Classes based on Metaverse Platform Gather.Town (메타버스 플랫폼 게더타운 기반 비대면수업의 학습만족도와 지속이용의도에 미치는 요인 연구)

  • This study aims to determine the factors that affect learning satisfaction and continuous use intention in metaverse-based non-face-to-face classes. Therefore, a hypothesis was established based on the technology acceptance model and information system success model, and a survey was conducted from November 22, 2021 to January 03, 2022 for students who had class experience using Gather.town-a metaverse platform. PLS Structural Equation was conducted on 122 copies, excluding the questionnaires with insincere responses. The results reveal that "all platform quality" factors influenced "easiness," "content quality" influenced "usefulness," "easiness" influenced "usefulness," "easiness" and "usefulness" influenced "learning satisfaction," "usefulness" and "learning satisfaction" had a positive effect on "continuous use intention." This study is significant because it empirically analyzes the variables that affect learning satisfaction and continuous use intention in metaverse-based non-face-to-face classes. In follow-up studies, additional research is required on the variables that affect learning satisfaction and continuous use intention targeting various metaverse-based platforms, including Gather.town.

A Study of Optimal Model for the Circuit Configuration of Korean Pulsatile Extracorporeal Life Support System (T-PLS) (한국형 박동식 생명구조장치(T-PLS) 순환회로를 위한 최적화 모델 연구)

  • Background: We have hypothesized that, if a low resistant gravity-flow membrane oxygenator is used, then the twin blood sacs of TPLS can be located at downstream of the membrane oxyenator, which may double the pulse rate at a given pump rate and increase the pump output. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal configuration for the ECLS circuits by using the concept of pulse energy and pump output. Material and Method: Animals were randomly assigned to 2 groups in a total cardiopulmonary bypass model. In the serial group, a conventional membrane oxygenator was located between the twin blood sacs. In the parallel group, the twin blood sacs were placed downstream of the gravity-flow membrane oxygenator. Energy equivalent pressure (EEP) and pump output were collected at pump-setting rates of 30, 40, and 50 BPM. Result: At the given pump-setting rate, the pulse rate was doubled in the parallel group. Percent changes of mean arterial pressure to EEP were $13.0\pm1.7,\; 12.0\pm1.9\;and\;7.6\pm0.9\%$ in the parallel group, and $22.5\pm2.4,\; 23.2\pm1.9,\;and\;21.8\pm1.4\%$ in the serial group at 30, 40, and 50 BPM of pump-setting rates. Pump output was higher in the parallel circuit at 40 and 50 BPM of pump-setting rates $(3.1\pm0.2,\;3.7\pm0.2L/min\;vs.\;2.2\pm0.1\;and\;2.5\pm0.1L/min,\;respectively,\;p=0.01)$. Conclusion: Either parallel or serial circuit configuration of the ECLS generates effective pulsatility. As for the pump out, the parallel circuit configuration provides higher flow than the serial circuit configuration.

  • Conceptualization of store image have been suggested in the past by many marketing scholars. The dominant perspective about store image is treated as the results of a multi-attribute model. Store image is expressed as a function of the salient attributes of a particular store that are evaluated. Though, there is a little confusions about what elements compose the store image, most scholars agree that merchandise, service, atmosphere, physical facilities, comfort, and location are generally accepted elements as store image. A considerable researches support that shopping can provide both hedonic and utilitarian value. Hedonic shopping value reflects the value received from fantasy and emotive aspects of shopping experience, while utilitarian shopping value reflects the acquisition of products. These two types of shopping value can affect shopping satisfaction. This study examines the relationships among stores images(store atmosphere, salespeople services, facilities, product assortment, and store location), shopping values(utilitarian shopping value and hedonic shopping value), and shopping satisfaction based on discount stores (E-Mart, Home plus, and Lotte Mart). The author hypothesized that five store image components affect shopping values, and these shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. The author focused on the roles of perceived retail crowding between these relationships. Specifically, the author hypothesized that perceived retailing crowding moderated the relationship between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. The author also hypothesized the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction.     . To test model and hypotheses, data were collected from 114 consumers located mid-size city in local area. The author employs PLS methodology (SmartPLS 2.0) to test hypotheses. Data analysis results indicate that among five store images salespeople services, and store location affect utilitarian shopping value.     . The author analyzed the relationship between perceived retail crowding and shopping satisfaction using WarpPLS 3.0 which can analyze the non-linear relationship. Result indicates that perceived retail crowding affects directly shopping satisfaction and there is a non-linear relationship between them. Among five store image components, store atmosphere and salespeople services affect directly shopping satisfaction.     • Purpose - This study examined the relationship between service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction and behavioral intention of coffee shop using CoffeeSERV scale. In this model, CoffeeSERV scale consists of fundamental characteristics, physical environment, confidence, beverage characteristics, and representation factors. In particular, this study tried to demonstrate the moderating effect of customer's regulatory focus orientation among in the relationships between service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction and behavioral intention. Research design, data, and methodology - This study intends to expand the existing service quality research by using the coffee shop service quality measurement tool developed by domestic researchers. I wanted to find some implications for the trend. In particular, this study applied the regulatory focus theory to identify individual differences of customers regulatory focusing motivation. In order to verify several hypotheses, the data were 227 college students and analyzed with SPSS/PC 21.0 and SmartPLS 3 program. The moderating role of customer's regulatory focusing motivation was tested using multi-group analysis with SmartPLS 3 program. Results - The resutls are as follows. First, the fundamental characteristic factors only had a significant influence on the utilitarian value perception, but in the hedonic value perception, all other service factors except for the beverage characteristic had a statistically significant effect. Second, utilitarian and hedonic value had significant effects on customer satisfaction. Third, customer satisfaction had a significant effect on behavioral intention. Finally, the regulatory focus orientation played a moderating role in the relationship between beverage characteristic - utilitarian value, representation - utilitarian value, fundamental characteristic - hedonic value, physical environment - hedonic value, confidence - hedonic value, and utilitarian value - behavioral intention. Conclusions - The results of this study show that the various service quality factors that make up the CoffeeSERV scale have different effects on utilitarian and hedonic value. This means that perceived benefits from product and service experience have different impacts on the customer's experience. Therefore, marketers should identify the impacts of service quality dimension that customers who use coffee shops consider important, understand the impact process of these quality factors on experience value, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention, and allocate limited marketing budget. The results also show that it is possible to establish differentiatied response strategies using customer's regulatory focus orientation to find ways to enhance utlitarian and hedonic value, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention using various Coffeeshop service quality factors. At the end of this paper, some limitations and future research directions were suggested.

    Anthocyanins in 'Cabernet Gernischet' (Vitis vinifera L. cv.) Aged Red Wine and Their Color in Aqueous Solution Analyzed by Partial Least Square Regression

    • Anthocyanins are considered one of the main color determinants in aged red wine. The anthocyanins in aged red wine made from 'Cabernet Gernischet' (Vitis vinifera L. cv.) grape were investigated by high performance liquid chromatography- electronic spray ionization- mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS) and their color presented in aqueous solution were evaluated using partial least square regression (PLS). The results showed that there were 37 anthocyanins identified in this wine, including 22 pyranoanthocyanins. The analysis of PLS indicated that different anthocyanins showed distinct color values: malvidin 3-O-(6-O-acetyl)-glucoside-4-vinylguaiacol (Mv3-acet-glu-vg) presented the highest color values, while malvidin 3-O-glucoside (Mv3-glu) showed least. Among the free non-acylated anthocyanins, peonidin 3-O-oglucoside (Pn3-glu) showed the highest color values; the coumarylated anthocyanins presented higher color values than their corresponding acetylated anthocyanins and parent anthocyanins; pyranoanthocyanins presented also higher color values than their original anthocyanins; the color of anthocyanins depended on their structure. This work will be helpful to reveal evolution in aged red wine.

    • High resolution three-dimensional integral imaging display is proposed. Each time-multiplexed image is projected with different incident angle on same array of elemental lenses. Those images are collected at different positions in focal plane of lens array, and thus the number of the point light sources increases and their spacing decreases. Therefore, proposed method can create high resolution 3D images.

    Job Stress Effects the Quality of Life: A Study based on Healthy Eating Habits of Nurses from the Gyeongbuk Region (경북지역 간호사의 건강식생활유형이 직무스트레스를 매개로 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

    • In this study, nurses above the age of 20 years and working in General Hospitals located in the Gyeongbuk province were enrolled as participant. A survey was conducted to identify the relationship between types of health-eating, level of occupational stress, and degree of quality of life. An effective sample size of 120 was determined, and it was validated as a feasible count to perform the analysis by applying the PLS-SEM. We hypothesized that the physiological and psychological occupational stress levels vary according to functional, mental, and trendy types of health-eating lives and impact the degree of quality of life. This was evaluated using structural models, employing the bootstrapping method using the Smart PLS 3.0. Our results indicate that in the relationship between health-eating types and quality of life, the higher the functional health-eating type, the higher the quality of life. The association between job stress and quality of life showed that the higher the psychological work stress, the more negative the quality of life. Examining the association between the type of healthy eating and the quality of life revealed that the higher the functional health-eating type, the higher the quality of life. As a result of verifying the moderating effect of the difference in working period (less than 3 years/more than 3 years), it was found that the shorter the working period (less than 3 years), the higher the psychological stress.
