  • Recently many kind of industry request 3D Modeling and visualize for object. So application of 3D laser scanning system is improved for 3D modeling and survey. But although application of scanner is steady improved, there are variety of caution error is contained in the result. There is request high quality survey for it is restricted by when field. To analysis what is consider major factor of reflect ratio about surface specification as ratio and characteristics accidental error. So this research use 3D laer scanning system what is adopted method of laser measurement for improvement accuracy 3D scan data. As a result we can check reflect volume will be improve as specification of survey object if it has high reflect ratio. It able to improve accuracy how laser scan data is revised by reflect volume.

  • For a quick and accurate 3D modelling of a building, laser scanning data, digital maps, aerial photographs and satellite images should be fusioned. Moreover, library establishment according to a standard structure of a building and effective texturing method are required in order to determine the structure of a building. In this study, we made a standard library by categorizing Korean village forms and presented a model that can predict a structure of a building from a shape of the roof on an aerial photo image. We made an ortho image using the high-definition digital image and considerable amount of ground scanning point cloud and mapped this image. These methods enabled a more quick and accurate building modelling.

  • There are many risks in constructing tunnel-structure. To prevent these risks from occurring and secure safety, the precise and rapid survey of inside displacement of the tunnel is required. But nowadays the measurement of the crown settlement, convergency, and surface settlement depends on general kinds of method which use total station or level. In the way to provide data about maintaining structure according to recent improvement and progress of measuring technology, 3D laser scanning is used. It solves the problem of reliability in measuring displacement of existing structure, provides material that enables to estimate shape change of structure visually, and makes it possible to deliberate speedy countermeasure. By this three dimensioning it is possible to make efficient use of structure maintenance and field measurement.

  • To obtain Digital Elevation Model(DEM) from an exposed rock mass, techniques such as laser scanning and digital stereo photogrammetric technique are recently applied. We have obtained the DEM of the rock slope using above techniques in this study, and examined a suitability and improvement of the photogrammetry for the rock slope by overlapping the DEM. This study can be applied to the measurement of fracture orientations, the prediction of rock joint network, and the analysis on the change of the rock slope.

  • Generally, the instrumentation scheme for urban excavation projects consist of a series of tools such as inclinometer piezometer, loadcell, tiltmeter etc. Because almost every equipments are placed along several typical lines, it is impossible to evaluate the whole behavior of structures and adjacent buildings simultaneously. With laser scanning technique developed for surveying, all visible structures are scanned in the form of 3D digital data in a time schedule as planned. It can be analysed effectively the movements for all area affected by excavation even the spots in where no instrumentation tools. Although there are some parts to be refined such as scanning error, proper analysing software, it gives many advantages for realistic instrumentation works in the near future.

  • 3D printers have been growing mainly in industrial use, but the recent growth of the personal 3D printer market advanced through economic effects and cost reduction due to technological development. However, current 3D personal printers are very low in customer satisfaction on the limitations of molding speed, size, and precision. In this paper, we propose SLA 3D printer using LSU to overcome the technical limitation of personal 3D printer. In order to verify the operation of the scanning mechanism which is responsible for core functions, the movement of molding board using stepping motor and laser output test was conducted. These tests ensure that the laser was operating and control well was confirmed that a certain point is output to the X-axis by means of a laser module and a polygon mirror. 3D printers which are proposed to improve the accuracy and manufacturing speed is expected to replace the traditional low-budget 3D printer.

  • In this study, a 3D laser scanner is applied to evaluate of the stability of rock slope and to establish a adequate counter-method. From 3D scanning results, three dimensional digital data of rock slope is acquired, and then it is investigated for the engineering properties of discontinuities in rock mass. On the base of the result, we carry out the analysis of slope stability using the methods of the stereographic projection. In particular, the use of a 3D laser scanner is powerful about the slope on which person is difficult to approach because we can obtain the informations of discontinuities from the 3D digital data.

  • The pre-assembly takes a large portion of the fabrication cost of steel bridges. In order to save the fabrication cost through the improvement of the conventional pre-assembling process, this research investigates a numerical pre-assembly simulation as an alternative to current pre-assembling process. The 3D laser scanning was utilized in site and measuring data for steel box were analyzed. The productivity of pre-assembly simulation system is compared with the conventional pre-assembling system. This paper identifies feasibility on the alternative pre-assembling process and then proposes the scheme of the pre-assembly simulation system development satisfying the current pre-assembly inspection of standards.

  • Selective Laser Sintering(SLS) method is one of Rapid Prototyping(RP) technologies. It has been used to fabricate desirable part to sinter powder and stack the fabricated layer. Since the sintering process occurs using infrared laser having high thermal energy, shrinkage and curling of the fabricated part occurs according to thermal distribution. Therefore, the fast scanning path generation is necessary to eliminate the factors of quality deterioration. In case of fabricating larger size parts, the unique scanning device and scanning path generation should be considered. In this paper, the development of SLS machines being capable of large size fabrication(800${\times}$1000${\times}$800 mm, W${\times}$D${\times}$H) will be addressed. The dual laser system and the unique scanning device have been designed and built, which employ CO2 lasers and dynamic 3-axis scanners. The developed system allows scanning a larger planar surface with the desired laser spot size. Also, to generate the fast scanning paths, adaptive path generation is needed with respect to the shape of each layer, and not simply x, y scanning, but the scanning of arbitrary direction should be enabled. To evaluate the suggested method, the complex part will be used for the experiment fabrication.

  • According to the increasing demand for 3D indoor spatial information, the utilization of a terrestrial laser scanner comes to the fore. However, the research for the comparison between a terrestrial laser scanning method and a traditional surveying method is insufficient. The paper evaluated the time-efficiency and the locational accuracy of an AMCW type and a direct TOF type of terrestrial laser scanning methods in comparison with the observation using a total station. As a result, an AMCW type showed higher time-efficiency than a direct TOF type and the RMSE between the two types of data was ${\pm}1mm$. Moreover, the terrestrial laser scanning method showed twice higher time-efficiency than the observation using a total station and the RMSE between the two data was ${\pm}3.4cm$. The results indicate that the terrestrial laser scanning method has better profitability and performance for 3D indoor modeling than the traditional survey using a total station. In the future, a terrestrial laser scanner can be efficiently utilized in the construction of 3D indoor spatial information.
