Any given object on the motor-driven turntable is pictured from 8 to 72 different views with a digital camera. 3D shape reconstruction is performed with the integrated software called by Scanware from these multiple digital photographs. There are several steps such as configuration, calibration, capturing, segmentation, shape creation, texturing and merging process during the shape reconstruction process. 3D geometry data can be exported to cad data such as Autocad input file. Also 3D image model is generated from 3D geometry and texture data, and is used to advertise the model in the internet environment. Consumers can see the object realistically from wanted views by rotating or zooming in the internet browsers with Scanbull spx plug-in. The spx format allows a compact saving of 3D objects to handle or download. There are many types of scan equipments such as laser scanners and photogrammetric scanners. Line or point scan methods by laser can generate precise 3D geometry but cannot obtain color textures in general. Reversely, 3D image modeling with photogrammetry can generate not only geometries but also textures from associated polygons. We got various 3D image models and introduced the process of getting 3D image model of an internet-connected watchdog robot.

Recently, the demand for more precise and demand-oriented customized spatial information is increasing due to the 4th industrial revolution. In particular, the use of 3D spatial information and digital twins which based on spatial information, and research for solving social problems in cities by using such information are continuously conducted. Globally, non-face-to-face services are increasing due to COVID-19, and the national policy direction is also rapidly progressing digital transformation, digitization and virtualization of the Korean version of the New Deal, which means that 3D spatial information has become an important factor to support it. In this study, physical objects for cities defined by world organizations such as ISO, OGC, and ITU were selected and the target of the 3D object model was limited to buildings. Based on CityGML2.0, the data collected using a drone suitable for building a 3D model of a small area is selected to be updated through road name address and building ledger, which are administrative information related to this, and LoD2.5 data is constructed and urban space. It was intended to suggest an object update method for a 3D building among data.
In order to present a space in details, it is indispensable to acquire 3D shape and texture simultaneously from the same platform. 3D shape is acquired by Laser Scanner as point cloud data, and texture is acquired by CCD sensor. Positioning data is acquired by IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). All the sensors and equipments are assembled on a hand-trolley. In this research, a method of integrating the 3D shape and texture for automated construction of Digital Surface Model is developed. This Digital Surface Model is applied for efficient feature extraction. More detailed extraction is possible , because 3D Digital Surface Model has both 3D shape and texture information.

The information management system for urban planning, urban management and related decision making is increasing an importance in recent years. Especially, the information about 3D buildings in urban area is necessary for urban management related precise location based service. However, it takes a lot of time, effort, and costs to produce 3D modeling data of buildings. These problems have been found in many studies, but the research to solve these problems is still necessary. In this study, we have tested an efficient 3D modeling method of building to solve these problems. SketchUp was used to test 3D modeling methods with OSM(OpenStreetMap) data. The other 3D modeling method using a digital map was tested. The 3D modeling of building data was efficient using PlaceMaker, which can use OSM data. In addition, modeling was possible through simple editing of the digital map and automatic building generation. The efficiency of the research results is presented by comparing with the traditional method based on the regulation and the stadard man power issued by Korean government. These two 3D modeling methods of building tested through the study can be used as basic data for related research and work. Additional studies should be conducted to improve the accuracy of the building model and determine how to obtain height data efficiently.
The digital photogrammetric products have been increasingly used as an accurate foundation for representing information associated with infrastructure management. The technological advances in merging raster and vector data within the framework of GIS have allowed for the inclusion of DTMs and digital orthophotos with vector data and its associated attributes. This study addresses not only generating DEMs and digital orthophotos but producing three dimensional building models from aerial photos of an urban area by employing the digital photogrammetric technology. DEMs and digital orthophotos were automatically generated through the process of orientations, image matching and so on, and then the practical problems, which must be solved especially in applying to urban areas, were considered. The accuracy of produced digital orthophotos was derived by using check points. Also three dimensional visualization imagery, which is useful in the landform analysis, and 3D building models were produced. Digital photogrammetric products would be used widely not only as GIS framework data layers by using the GIS link function which links attribute and image information in the database for applying to infrastructure management and but as geospatial data for especially 3D GIS in urban areas.
The restoration of ceramics excavated in fragments is limited by the difficulty of inferring the overall shape of the original object. However, recent innovations in digital technology can help to overcome the limits of conventional restoration using handwork. This study explored the potential of digital technology by digitally restoring a shard from a white porcelain water dropper excavated at a kiln site at Sindae-ri. In order to complete the digital restoration, 3D scanning was applied to obtain scan data, and 3D modeling and texture mapping were performed. In this way, three-dimensional data with patterns and color information was acquired and the original form of the water dropper could be ascertained based on the shard. The study found that the data acquired from digital restoration can be used for various purposes, including for obtaining data on cross-sections or missing portions of a relic.

Despite of many researches related to create 3D digital maps, it is still time-consuming and costly because a large part of 3D digital mapping is conducted manually. To circumvent this limitation, we proposed methodologies to create 3D digital maps with 3D symbols automatically. For this purpose, firstly, the 3D symbol library to represent 3D objects as 3D symbols was constructed. In this library, we stored the attribute and geometry information of 3D objects which define types and shapes of symbols respectively. These information were used to match 3D objects with 3D symbols and extracted from 2D digital maps and LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) data. Then, to locate 3D symbols into a base map automatically, we used predefined parameters such as the size, the height, the rotation angle and the center of gravity of 3D objects which are extracted from LiDAR data. Finally, the 3D digital map in urban area was constructed and the results were tested. Through this research, we can identify that the developed algorithms can be used as effective techniques for 3D digital mapping.

Nowadays the widely used media in architecture include visualizations, animations and three-dimensional models. An optimized 3D digital method using active CAM(Computer Aided Manufacturing) and CNC(Computerized Numerical Control) imaging is developed for accurate shape and 3D measurements in freeform buildings in this paper. In contrast to a conventional building using auto CAD system and others, the proposed active digital optimization is based on a combination of 3D numerical data and parametric 3D model. The objective of this paper is therefore to present digital optimization method for constructability of freeform building. The 3D digital optimization method is appropriate to serious variations in freeform shape. The developed digital optimization method is necessary to be carried out to verify the robustness and accuracy for constructability.

Informatization and visualization technology for real space is a key technology for construction of geospatial information. Three-dimensional (3D) modeling is a method of constructing geospatial information from data measured by various methods. The 3D laser scanner has been mainly used as a method for acquiring digital elevation data. On the other hand, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which has been attracting attention as a promising technology of the fourth industrial revolution, has been evaluated as a technology for obtaining fast geospatial information, and various studies are being carried out. However, there is a lack of evaluation on the quantitative work efficiency and data accuracy of the data construction technology for 3D geospatial modeling. In this study, various analyses were carried out on the characteristics, work processes, and accuracy of point cloud data acquired by a 3D laser scanner and an unmanned aerial vehicle. The 3D laser scanner and UAV were used to generate digital elevation data of the study area, and the characteristics were analyzed. Through evaluation of the accuracy, it was confirmed that digital elevation data from a 3D laser scanner and UAV show accuracy within a 10 cm maximum, and it is suggested that it can be used for spatial information construction. In the future, collecting 3D elevation data from a 3D laser scanner and UAV is expected to be utilized as an efficient geospatial information-construction method.
The Three-dimensions digital documentation of cultural heritages mostly consist of drawings with 3D data, and require diverse attempts and researches. Three storied stone pagoda in Mulgeol-ri, Hongcheon underwent the disassembling repair, and its conditions before the disassembly, individual members and conditions after the preservation treatment were documented in 3D data. The 3D data of the stone pagoda before the disassembly and after the preservation treatment were comparatively analyzed by combining the member position data with the individual member data. The gaps between foundation stones became smaller after the preservation treatment, and each story made a square. The results will be used as important data in monitoring the deformation of and damage to the stone pagoda.
