Approximated 3D non-homogeneous model for the buckling and vibration analysis of femur bone with femoral defects

  • We carry the knowledge that the skeleton bones of the human body are not always without defects and some various defects could occur in them. In the present paper, as the first endeavor, free vibration and buckling analysis of femur bones with femoral defects are investigated. A major strength of this study is the modeling of defects in femur bones. Materialise Mimics software is adopted to model the bone geometry and the SOLIDWORKS software is used to generate the defects in bones. Next, the ABAQUS software is employed to study the behaviors of bones with defects.

  • In this paper, we developed the multi-tool carving machine which integrates the existing hot-wire carving machine, hot-wire cutting machine and spindle so that the shape of complex structure can be produced easily and quickly. We have also developed software that solves the problem that G-Code applies only to a single tool, and controls the details of the machine's operations that can not be managed with existing 3D modeling tools.

  • This paper describes the development of 3-D web graphic library for dynamic web graphic design. The 3-D web graphic library developed in this per supports creation of 3-D objects like cube and sphere objects, elimination of hidden line and surface, and the shading of diffuse and specular reflections. It provides, in drawing, perspective projection of an object depth first sort of multiple objects, and wire frame and solid models. It also supports texture mapping function for realistic and dynamic web application in application software. Each created 3-D object gives functions for the scaling, translation, and rotation of itself. It can be used for the development of dynamic web application software and the advertisement of information for business and tourism as a 3-D web graphic library engine. It is written in 'Java' language and runs on web browsers with Java virtual machine without any dependancy of client computer system.

Printing Time/Material Usage Estimation of 3-D Printer Using Digital Printing Method (디지털 프린팅 방식 3차원 프린터의 출력 시간 및 재료 사용량 예측 방법)

  • This paper describes a method of precise estimation for printing time and material consumption which are directly related to the 3D printing cost. Printing process and head motion of 3D printers using digital printing head, which is analyzed by its digitized steps, is rapidly simulated without slicing to calculate estimated printing results. Using this method, printing time and material usage of 3D printer were estimated quickly and precisely and compared to the real printing result. Applying compensation using the printing parameters, transferred from the 3D printer to the printing estimation system, even more accurate estimation is achieved. This method is used in the 3D Sprint software.

  • 본 논문에서는 유아들이 일상생활 속의 환경에 대한 내면화 과정을 통하여 환경보전에 대한 인식과 태도를 형성하고 환경보호를 위한 지식과 기능을 습득하며 환경보호 행동을 실천할 수 있도록 도와주는 환경교육용 3D애니메이션 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 수질오염과 공기오염을 주제로 한 3D애니메이션을 통하여 사전조사와 사후조사를 통하여 유아들의 이해도가 각각 11.25%와 28.75%가 향상되었다.

  • Raster operations are widely used to display full-color graphics images (or pixmaps) and single-color images (or bitmaps). These features are strongly needed for image processing applications and font output. However, current mobile graphics platforms, including OpenGL ES hardware implementations, do not directly support these features. To fully support those raster operations on the mobile graphics platforms, we interpreted the graphics images as a set of 3D points, and processed those 3D points through the typical 3D geometry pipelines, in a full-software implementation. Our implementation shows sufficient execution speeds, and passed the official conformance tests to show its correctness.
