Mobile Watermarking Based on the Distortion Analysis of Display-Capture Image in a Smart Phone (스마트폰에서 디스플레이-캡쳐 영상의 왜곡분석에 기반한 모바일 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, we propose a mobile watermarking based on the distortion analysis of display-capture image in a smart phone. We compose a random sequence by utilizing the property of frequency band in the wavelet domain. Then we calculate the CCS (Coefficients Comparative Sum) using the block wavelet coefficients of selected subbands after the wavelet transformation and the random sequence and repeatedly embed a watermark using an insertion threshold for the watermark robustness. For correcting a distortion caused by the display-capture process, we adopt a frame at the outside of watermarked image, then we can equate a watermark synchronization by detecting the frame. And we can improve frame detection ratio by using an iteratively adaptive threshold. A proposed scheme embedded information of 206 bits into standard digital images and it shows an average about 41.42 dB in PSNR. In watermark extract experiments, a proposed scheme accurately recognizes the frame more than 97% in total captured images. Also in BER (Bit Error Ratio) of captured images, it shows about 3.73%, then it was improved more than 70%, compared with the Pramila's method.

  • In this paper, we implement a digital holographic security card system that combines digital holographic memory using random phase encoded reference beams with electrical biometrics. Digitally encoded data including a document, a picture of face, and a fingerprint are recorded by multiplexing of holographic memory. A random phase mask encoding reference beams are used as a decoded key to protect illegal counterfeit. As a result, we can achieve a raw BER of 3.6${\times}$10-4 and shift selectivity of 4${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ using the 2D random phase mask. Also, we develop a recording pattern and image processing which are suitable for a low cost reader without a position sensing photo-detector for real time data extraction and remove danger of fraud from unauthorized person by comparing the reconstructed holographic data with the live fingerprint data.

A Study on Digital Documentation of Precise Monitoring for Microscale Displacements within the Tomb of King Muryeong and the Royal Tombs in Gongju, Korea (공주 무령왕릉과 왕릉원 내부 미세변위 정밀모니터링을 위한 디지털 기록화 연구)

  • The tomb complex of the royal family from the period of the Ungjin Baekje Kingdom (475 to 538 AD) in Gongju, Korea, contains the tomb of King Muryeong and other royal tombs. After the excavation of the tomb of King Muryeong in 1971, these tombs were opened up to the public, without the establishment of systems for their safety, conservation and management. The tombs have consequently experienced rapid environmental changes and suffered various damages. In this study, specific vulnerable parts inside the tombs were selected for deviation analysis using 3D scanning, and 3D image models were constructed on this basis. Progressive displacement was identified in tomb No. 5, and basic data for future investigations was acquired from tomb No. 6 and the tomb of King Muryeong. In the deviation analysis for the southern plastered wall of tomb No. 5, the damage was not found to exceed the ranges of ±18 mm and ±2 mm. However, the lintel stone was found to be sagging by 0.32 mm on average, and the distance between the walls to have increased by 0.36 mm on average. Direct water seepage occurring in tomb No. 5 is considered to be increasing the damage within the tomb, such as the dropping and sagging of the lintel. The 3D image models constructed in this study will play an important role as baseline data for future research, and can be used to discuss a secure conservation scheme for the tombs through cross-validation with precise measurement monitoring.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the usefulness of X-ray simulator which uses a visible light source for further study. We developed a small experimental equipment which is composed of three main components - source, localizer and detector. Cartesian coordinate was set in 3D space, and the position of target was assumed the origin of the coordinate. The light from the source passes directly through the target, and projection image is formed on the screen, which can be taken with the digital camera. Since projection images were acquired behind the screen, they were flipped over right and left. By examining the characters of visual light source and equipments, it could be concluded that developed system was useful for experimental purpose.

  • This study on circular identifying purposes was performed of Youngbeokji space located in Seongnagwon(Scenic Sites No.35). Through the data acquisition of 3D high precision, such as the surrounding terrain of the Youngbeokji. The results of this study is summarized like the following. First, the purpose of the stone structures and structure within the Youngbeokji search is an important clue to find that earlier era will be a prototype. 3D scan method of enforcement is searching the whole structure, including the surrounding terrain and having the easy way. Second, the measurement results are as follows. Department of bedrock surveyed from South to North was measured by 7,665mm. From East to West was measured at 7,326mm. The size of the stone structures, $1,665mm{\times}1,721mm$ in the form of a square. Its interior has a diameter of 1, 664mm of hemispherical form. In the lower portion of the rock masses in the South to the North, has fallen out of the $1,006mm{\times}328mm$ scale traces were discovered. Third, the Youngbeokji recorded in the internal terrain Multiresolution approach. After working with the scanner and scan using the scan data, broadband, to merge. Polygon Data conversion to process was conducted and mash as fine scan data are converted to process data. High resolution photos obtained through the creation of 3D terrain data overlap and the final result. Fourthly, as a result of this action, stone structure West of the waterway back outgoing times oil was confirmed. This is the purpose of this is to establish foundations and conservation management measures will be used. In addition, The new ease of how future research and 3D scan unveiled in the garden has been used in the study expect.

  • There have been various forms of systems such as a digital speedometer or a black box etc. to meet the social requirement for reducing traffic accidents and safe driving. However that systems are based on after-accident vehicle data, there is limit to prevent the accident before. So in our previous research, by storing, analyzing the Vehicle-dynamic information coming from driver's behavior, we are developing the decision-device which could provide driver with Alerting-Information in real-time to enhance the driver's safety drive. but the performance valuation is not yet executed. Finally, this study developed positional recognition system by using the DGPS for pre-developed risky driving decision device. The result of test analyzed with the same that the aggregated vehicle dynamics data in DGPS and dangerous risky driving decision device. If the performance of risky driving decision device is verified by precisely positional recognition system, the risky driving management of vehicle would be effected.

Development of Digital Filter and Damper for Improving Accuracy of Measurement of Application Amount of Disinfectants of Disinfection Vehicle (방역차량의 약제 살포량 측정 정확성 개선을 위한 디지털 필터와 댐퍼 개발)

  • 방역 차량의 약액탱크, 차량의 연료, 워셔액 등의 탱크 내부에는 잔존량을 측정하기 위해 기둥과 floating box로 이루어진 부력식 수위레벨센서가 사용되고 있으나 액체레벨에 따라 float이 상하로 움직이는 측정원리상 차량 주행 중 정확성이 매우 떨어진다(Park et al. 2016). 방역차량이 주행 중 분사할 때, 슬로싱 현상과 방역소독기의 노즐과 펌프에서 발생하는 진동으로 인해 기존의 부력식 센서를 이용한 약제 살포량 측정방법은 정확성이 매우 떨어지는 경향이 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 방역차량이 주행하면서 분사할 때, 수위레벨 센서를 이용한 약제살포량 측정의 정확성을 개선하는 것으로 디지털 칼만필터, Low pass filter와 댐퍼를 제작하여 이용했다. 본 연구에서는 압력식 레벨센서를 이용해 약액탱크의 높이당 단면적과 수위를 측정하여 약제살포량을 계산했다. Python 2.7을 이용해 디지털 칼만필터와 Low pass filter(LPF)를 구현하였으며 3D프린터를 이용해 댐퍼를 제작했다. 실내에서 슬로싱 현상을 인공적으로 만들어 필터와 댐퍼의 수위 측정 정확성 개선효과를 확인 후 실제 방역차량에 부착하여 비포장도로에서 주행하면서 분사할 때 필터와 댐퍼의 효과를 확인하였다. 댐퍼의 공극률(p)을 바꿔가며 수위 측정 정확성 개선효과를 확인하였다. 실내, 현장 실험 결과, 칼만필터가 LPF보다 개선효과가 더 크지만 데이터 50개 처리에 1.71초의 시간지연이 발생했다. 댐퍼는 수위센서를 고정시키고 유체의 운동을 방해하여 이상치와 큰 오차제거에 효과적이었다. 칼만필터와 댐퍼를 동시에 이용할 경우, 수위 측정정확성 $R^2$는 0.9985, 0.9981로 ${\pm}4.3cm$의 범위내에서 수위를 측정할 수 있었다. 필터의 시간지연과 수위 측정정확성을 고려하여 데이터 기록간격을 3초로 설정하면 ${\pm}3cm$이내에서 약탱크 내 수위를 측정할 수 있었다. 공극률(p)가 0.294, 0.291, 0.17에서 측정정확성 $R^2$는 각각 0.9897, 0.9858, 0.9872 로 p가 0.294에서 개선효과가 가장 좋았으나 개선효과의 차이는 크지 않았다.

  • In this paper, a three-dimensional measuring system of thermoluminescence(TL) spectra based on temperature, wavelength and luminescence intensity was introduced. The system was composed of a spectrometer, temperature control unit for thermal stimulation, photon detector and personal computer for control the entire system. Temperature control was achieved by using feedback to ensure a linear-rise in the sample temperature. Digital multimeter(KEITHLEY 195A) measures the electromotive force of Copper-Constantan thermocouple and then transmits the data to the computer through GPIB card. The computer converts this signal to temperature using electromotive force-temperature table in program, and then control the power supply through the D/A converter. The spectrometer(SPEX 1681) is controlled by CD-2A, which is controlled by the computer through RS-232 communication port. For measuring the luminescence intensity during the heating run, the electrometer(KEITHLEY 617) measures the anode current of photomultiplier tube(HAMAMATSU R928) and transmits the data to computer through the A/D converter. And, we measured and analyzed thermoluminescence of $CaSO_4$ : Dy, P using the system. The measuring range of thermoluminescence spectra was 300K-575K and 300~800 nm, $CaSO_4$ : Dy. P was fabricated by the Yamashita's method in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute(KAERI) for radiation dosimeter. Thermoluminesce spectra of the $CaSO_4$ : Dy, P consist of two main peak at temperature of $205^{\circ}C$, wavelength 476 nm and 572 nm and with minor ones at 658 nm and 749 nm.

Quadratic Sigmoid Neural Equalizer (이차 시그모이드 신경망 등화기)

  • In this paper, a quadratic sigmoid neural equalizer(QSNE) is proposed to improve the performance of conventional neural equalizer in terms of bit error probability by using a quadratic sigmoid function as the activation function of neural networks. Conventional neural equalizers which have been used to compensate for nonlinear distortions adopt the sigmoid function. In the case of sigmoid neural equalizer, each neuron has one linear decision boundary. So many neurons are required when the neural equalizer has to separate complicated structure. But in case of the proposed QSNF and quadratic sigmoid neural decision feedback equalizer(QSNDFE), each neuron separates decision region with two parallel lines. Therefore, QSNE and QSNDFE have better performance and simpler structure than the conventional neural equalizers in terms of bit error probability. When the proposed QSNDFE is applied to communication systems and digital magnetic recording systems, it is an improvement of approximately 1.5dB~8.3dB in signal to moise ratio(SNR) over the conventional decision feedback equalizer(DEF) and neural decision feedback equalizer(NDFE). As intersymbol interference(ISI) and nonlinear distortions become severer, QSNDFE shows astounding SNR shows astounding SNR performance gain over the conventional equalizers in the same bit error probability.

  • According to the accident statistics published by the National Police Agency in 2007, the number of commercial vehicle(city, suburb and other buses) accidents consumes 3.5 percent of the total number of traffic accidents in this year. Since the commercial vehicles are responsible for not only the drivers but also the passengers, it leads more serious social and economic problems. There have been various forms of systems such as a digital speedometer or a black box to meet the social requirement for reducing traffic accidents and safe driving. however the system based on the data after accident control the driver by analyze dangerous drive behaviors, so there is a limit to control driver in real-time. Also speedometer currently managed provide the driver warning information in real-time, but using only the speed of vehicle and RPM information regardless of actual dangerous drive behaviors, disappear the effectiveness. In this study performed a simulation for drivers in general using a simulator programed with dangerous driving types we had developed in the previous study and judging the types. It'd be more effective system to provide the drivers warning information using weight valued in this study. However in this study is limited to apply weight as a result of simulation of drivers in general in actual situation should be made up the deficit based on information of driving type of actual commercial vehicles.
