The Consolidation of the Balanced Scorecard and 6 Sigma Methodologies Ahead to Become a Real Time Enterprises: A Case Study of a SEM Development Project (실시간 기업 구현을 위한 균형성과표와 6 시그마의 연계: D사 SEM 구축 사례를 중심으로)

  • In order to utilize BSC as an operational tool for communicating strategies across the hierarchies of the organization, a growing number of companies have tried to link BSC processes with other PI tools. Company D has carried out the SEM project to identify the causal structure between innovation activities and performance management in 2005 and 2006. The company synthesizes BSC and 6 Sigma methodologies at the BU level, and the new process made it possible to manage performances and make decision more "realistic" on the basis of information technologies. We expect that this study provide organizations, which have difficulties streamlining the performance management processes at the strategic level and those of operational level, with implications for realizing more "execution-oriented" RTE.

  • It is a fact that we are yet to recognize and sense the U-City even though the business of U-City construction has been started many years ago. One of the causes is that UCity was thoughtlessly developed in the industry-centered environment for a tangible achievement, despite of need on more systematic development and organized management. Fortunately, it is expected that the most part of the situation will be solved, since "laws on the construction of the ubiquitous city" for planning, construction and management has been promulgated on March, and U-City project will be systematically promoted by the related laws from now. Therefore, intention of this study is the sustainable development of the U-City by analyzing the previous process and problems of the U-City Construction project of local governments and reengineering U-City construction project process in accordance with new laws, using the BPR methodology.

  • Configuration and data management system for weapon system research and development processes should assist concurrent engineering and collaboration activities for various documents, drawings, part informations and product structure informations. In this thesis we defined the system architecture using the CBD methodology and implemented the component based system development process. Most of the configuration and data management systems consist of three layered system architecture which use the general MVC models. In this thesis we defined four layered system architecture based on EJB structure under J2EE environments. Through the four layered system architecture, we break down the general model layer into two detailed business layers and the ordinary control layer into two system dependent layers. With these four layers, we proposed the methodology that detailed the characteristics of the components. Through the CBD approach and the component based development process, we can get the representation model and implement the actual system of the configuration and data management system for weapon system R&D.

  • HVAC 시스템은 쾌적하고 깨끗한 운전환경을 만들어 줌으로써 운전자에게 향상된 안락성과 안전성을 제공한다. 이때 센서는 시시각각으로 변화하는 차실 내외의 환경변화에 대한 정보를 검출하여 HVAC 제어 유니트에 제공한다. 현재 HVAC 시스템에 사용되고 있는 후막 가스센서는 소자 크기와 소비전력이 크고, 제작공정이 까다로워 생산성이 낮은 단점이 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 최근에는 초소형화, 저소비전력, 대량생산에 의한 저가격화가 가능한 MEMS 가스센서의 연구개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 MEMS 구조체를 이용한 마이크로 가스센서를 설계 및 제작하였고, 감도특성을 고찰하였다. 가스 감지막은 금속산화물 페이스트를 스크린 프린팅 하는 종래의 방법 대신 MEMS 구조체에 적용 가능한 sol-gel 프로세스에 의해 형성하였다. 또 가스 감지전극과 micro-heater를 동일 평면상에 제작, 공정을 간소화하여 저가화를 시도하였다. MEMS 구조체 위에 제작된 Pt 박막 micro-heater의 인가전압에 따른 발열특성을 조사한 결과, 발열온도가 인가전압에 비례하는 이상적인 선형성을 나타내었으며, $300^{\circ}C$의 동작 온도에 도달하기 위해 65mW 이하의 저전력 동작이 가능하였다. 가스 센서의 감도특성 확인 실험은 CO 가스 10ppm, NO 가스 0.3ppm을 기준으로 수행되었으며, CO 및 NO에 대해 Rs(sensitivity, 가스반응저항/초기저항) 값은 각각 0.753 과 2.416로 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

  • BIM(Building Information Modeling) based design process can initiatively conduct a task through all phases from early design step to construction and maintenance step. Also BIM efficiently manage the building's energy by reflecting 3D design and construction life cycle. This paper proposes an efficient process to build AHU's BIM-based library. This study involves analyzing an AHU model for development of design module, and making the template model using the same 12 parts including the shapes of ducts, doors and frames. In consideration of each shape's direction and the status of existence, which are detailed shapes of parts upon making the template model, all the shapes of the AHU model can be expressed. By applying parametric modeling to the template model, a quick and precise modification and transformation can be conducted, thus the efficiency is enhanced. A user selects an AHU model from a 2D model selection program, and extracts shape information. The final AHU shape is completed through the automation work of unnecessary shape deletion by bringing the extracted shape information to the template model. This enables the user to build efficient AHU's BIM-based library, since the quick and precise modification and transformation of the template model are possibile, and all AHU model shapes can be expressed.

Estimation of optimal position of a mobile robot using object recognition and hybrid thinning method (3차원 물체인식과 하이브리드 세선화 기법을 이용한 이동로봇의 최적위치 추정)

  • In this paper, we propose a methodology for estimating the optimal traversable destination from the location-based information of the object recognized by the mobile robot to perform the object delivery service. The location estimation process is to apply the generalized Voronoi graph to the grid map to create an initial topology map composed of nodes and links, recognize objects and extract location data using RGB-D sensors, and collect the shape and distance information of obstacles. Then, by applying the hybrid approach that combines the center of gravity and thinning method, the optimal moving position for the service robot to perform the task of grabbing is estimated. And then, the optimal node information for the robot's work destination is updated by comparing the geometric distance between the estimated position and the existing node according to the node update rule.

  • The use of prefabricated concrete piles have been gradually increased in many construction sites. One of main works for building a concrete pile foundation is to crush a part of pile head which is compressed with more than $800kg/cm^2$. A pile cutting work is usually performed by a crusher and three to four skilled workers. Recent reports on the pile cutting work reveal that a lot of cracks which significantly reduce the strength of the pile and are frequently made during pile cutting operations and it is very repetitive and labor intensive work. To improve productivity, safety, and quality of the conventional concrete pile cutting work, the research on developing an automated concrete pile cutter has been performed. In this paper, sensing methods for detecting a pile cutting line are suggested with operation process algorithms. The suggested methods are very important to develop the automated pile cutter. A pilot-type of the automated pile cutter that adopt one of the suggested sensing methods, is developed and tested in a construction site.

  • Autonomous vehicles using V2X can drive safely information on areas outside the sensor coverage of autonomous vehicles conventional autonomous vehicles. As V2X technology has emerged as a key component of autonomous vehicles, research on V2X security is actively underway research on risk analysis due to failure of V2X communication is insufficient. In this paper, the service scenario and function of autonomous driving system V2X were derived by presenting the intersection scenario of the autonomous vehicle, the malfunction was defined by analyzing the hazard of V2X. he ISO26262 Part3 process was used to analyze the risk of malfunction of autonomous vehicle V2X. In addition, a fault injection scenario was presented to verify the fail-safe of the simulation-based intersection scenario.

An Improvement Study on the Hydrological Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (HQPF) for Rainfall Impact Forecasting (호우 영향예보를 위한 수문학적 정량강우예측(HQPF) 개선 연구)

  • In recent years, frequent localized heavy rainfalls, which have a lot of rainfall in a short period of time, have been increasingly causing flooding damages. To prevent damage caused by localized heavy rainfalls, Hydrological Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (HQPF) was developed using the Local ENsemble prediction System (LENS) provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and Machine Learning and Probability Matching (PM) techniques using Digital forecast data. HQPF is produced as information on the impact of heavy rainfall to prepare for flooding damage caused by localized heavy rainfalls, but there is a tendency to overestimate the low rainfall intensity. In this study, we improved HQPF by expanding the period of machine learning data, analyzing ensemble techniques, and changing the process of Probability Matching (PM) techniques to improve predictive accuracy and over-predictive propensity of HQPF. In order to evaluate the predictive performance of the improved HQPF, we performed the predictive performance verification on heavy rainfall cases caused by the Changma front from August 27, 2021 to September 3, 2021. We found that the improved HQPF showed a significantly improved prediction accuracy for rainfall below 10 mm, as well as the over-prediction tendency, such as predicting the likelihood of occurrence and rainfall area similar to observation.

Analysis of Pre-Service Mathematics Teachers' Experience on Design Thinking based Teaching Practicum (예비수학교사들의 디자인 사고(Design Thinking) 기반 교육실습 활동 경험 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience of pre-service mathematics teachers who attended at a university course combined with teaching practicum based on design thinking process to identify the change of their awareness of its activities. For the research, 8 pre-service mathematics teachers participated in a mathematics major course, consisting of 5 phases of design thinking formed by Stanford d.school. In the end of the course, qualitative data were collected through individual and focus group interviews and the course activities. By data analysis, the results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the participants' perspectives of design thinking activities were changed from the difficulty and ambiguity of its activity in the beginning of the process to positiveness with competence of solving authentic problem in terms of teaching practicum over time. Secondly, the participating pre-service teachers emphasized that design thinking activities helped them prepare well teaching practicum and raise understanding of students they met in the school fields. Thirdly, some research participants went through the difficulty in utilizing their products drawn from 4th phase (prototyping) of design thinking process depending on the acceptance of their guidance teachers. Fourthly, the research participants also pointed out that the design thinking was a significant activity in that they learned how to understand and communicate with their students and how to collaborate with team members and it gave an insight about the preparation for a class. Through these results, this study identified the possibility of using the design thinking process for pre-service mathematics teachers' teaching practicum. In addition, the research put forward some implications for better use of design thinking in teacher education.
