레이더-위성자료 이용 다중센서 기반 초단기 강우예측 - 2014년 8월 부산·경남 폭우사례를 중심으로 - (A Multi-sensor basedVery Short-term Rainfall Forecasting using Radar and Satellite Data - A Case Study of the Busan and Gyeongnam Extreme Rainfall in August, 2014-)

  • 본 연구에서는 2014년 8월 부산 경남 집중호우 사례를 대상으로 레이더와 위성결합 Multi-sensor Blending 초단기 강우예측을 실시하였다. 레이더 최적 Z-R관계는 열대형 강수 Z-R관계식($Z=32R^{1.65}$)을 적용하였으며, 20 mm/h 이상의 강한 강우에서 강수량 추정 정확도가 향상됨을 확인하였다. 또한 60 mm/h 이상 강한 폭우사상에 대하여 천리안 위성자료와 레이더자료를 합성한 결과 정량강수 추정 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였다. 지속시간별 강우예측 정확도 검증을 위하여 AWS, MAPLE 자료와 비교결과, 강우예측 1시간까지 약 50%이상의 지점강우예측 정확도를 확보하였으며, 10분 단위 예측시간별 상관계수는 0.80~0.53, 평균제곱근오차는 3.99~6.43 mm/h로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과 레이더와 위성정보를 이용한 보다 신뢰성 있는 강우예측 정보 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 향후 지속적인 사례연구와 레이더 위성 활용 정량강수량 추정 및 예측, 그리고 위성강수 추정 알고리즘 개선의 노력이 필요하다.

Hydrogenation of Phenylacetylene to Styrene on Pre-CxHy- and C-Covered Cu(111) Single Crystal Catalysts

  • Thermal hydrogenation of phenylacetylene (PA, $C_8H_6$) to styrene ($C_8H_8$) on pre-$C_xH_y$- and C-covered Cu(111) single crystal substrates has been studied using temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) mass spectrometry. Chemisorbed PA with an acetylene group has been proved to be associated with hydrogen of pre-adsorbed $C_xH_y$ to form styrene (104 amu) on Cu surface. For the parent (PA) mass (102 amu) TPD profile, the TPD peaks at 360 K and 410 K are assigned to chemisorbed vertically aligned PA and flat-lying cross-bridged PA, respectively (J. Phys. Chem. C 2007, 111, 5101). The relative $I_{360K}/I_{410K}$ TPD ratio dramatically increases with increasing pre-adsorbed $C_xH_y$ before dosing PA, while the ratio does not increase for pre-C-covered surface. For PA on pre-$C_xH_y$-covered Cu(111) surface, styrene desorption is enhanced relative to the parent PA desorption, while styrene formation is dramatically quenched on pre-C-covered (lack of adsorbed hydrogen nearby) surface. It appears that only cross-bridged PA associates with adsorbed hydrogen to form styrene that promptly desorbs at 410 K, while vertically aligned PA is less likely to participate in forming styrene.

Transition State Variation in the Anilinolysis of O-Aryl Phenyl Phosphonochloridothioates in Acetonitrile

  • The nucleophilic substitution reactions of Y-O-aryl phenyl phosphonochloridothioates with substituted anilines ($XC_6H_4NH_2$) and deuterated anilines ($XC_6H_4ND_2$) are kinetically investigated in acetonitrile at $55.0^{\circ}C$. The deuterium kinetic isotope effects (DKIEs) invariably increase from an extremely large secondary inverse ($k_H/k_D$ = 0.439; min) to a primary normal ($k_H/k_D$ = 1.34; max) as both substituents of nucleophile (X) and substrate (Y) change from electron-donating to electron-withdrawing. These results are opposite to the DKIEs on Y-O-aryl methyl phosphonochloridothioates, and can be rationalized by the gradual transition state (TS) variation from backside to frontside attack. The trigonal bipyramidal pentacoordinate TS is proposed for a backside attack, while the hydrogen-bonded, four-center-type TS is proposed for a frontside attack. The negative values of the cross-interaction constants (${\rho}_{XY(H)}$ = -0.38 for $XC_6H_4NH_2$ and ${\rho}_{XY(D)}$ = -0.29 for $XC_6H_4ND_2$) indicate that the reactions proceed by a concerted $S_N2$ mechanism.

Quasiclassical Trajectory Calculations for the Reaction Ne + H2+ → NeH+ + H

  • Quasiclassical trajectory (QCT) calculations of Ne + ${H_2}^+$ reaction have been carried out on the adiabatic potential energy surface of the ground state $1^2$ A'. The reaction probability of the title reaction for J = 0 has been calculated, and the QCT result is consistent with the previous quantum mechanical wave packet result. Quasiclassical trajectory calculations of the four polarization-dependent differential cross sections have been carried out in the center of mass (CM) frame. The P(${\theta}_r$), P(${\phi}_r$) and P(${\theta}_r$, ${\phi}_r$) distributions, the k-k'-j' correlation and the angular distribution of product rotational vectors are presented in the form of polar plots. Due to the well in $1^2$ A' PES, the reagent vibrational excitation has greater influence on the polarization of the product rotational angular momentum vectors j' than the collision energy.

식물성 오일을 깔짚에 처리시 pH, 병원균 및 휘발성 지방산에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Effects of Essential Oils on pH, Pathogen, and Volatile Fatty Acid Content in Poultry Litter)

  • The effects of essential oils on pH, pathogens, and volatile fatty acids (VFA) in two poultry litters were investigated through a lab study. Essential oil-added poultry litters were randomly divided to two groups: control (200 g poultry litter) and Treatment (50 g thymol/Briefly, 200 g broiler litter was treated with or without 50 g thymol (Control and T1, respectively; 1 groups) and 200 g duck litter was treated with or without 50 g carvacrol (Control and T2, respectively; 2 group). Adding thymol to broiler litter increased the pH, reduced pathogens, and did not affect VFA. Interestingly, adding carvacrol slightly reduced the pH of duck litter, but had no significant effect on reducing pathogens and VFA. This difference is probably because the essential oil used and the properties of the two litters are different. In addition, pH was thought to control the odor generated from the litter, but this has not been proven. Further field studies should focus on clarifying this point.

이유자돈 사료에 아미노산 첨가제가 돈분 슬러리의 pH와 휘발성지방산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Amino Acid Additives to Weaned Piglet Diets on pH and Volatile Fatty Acids of Pig Slurry)

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of amino acid additives to weaned piglet diets on the pH and volatile fatty acids of pig slurries. A total of 135 weaned 22 -day-old piglets (Yorkshire x Landrace x Duroc) were used in this 56-d study. The three dietary treatments were as follows: (1) Control as a basal diet, (2) 1% amino acid additive and (3) 2% amino acid additive. Both pH and acetic acid values at 71 and 78 days were significantly different in all treatment groups (p<0.05). In addition, significant differences in propionic acid values were observed among treatment groups at 64 and 78 days (p<0.05). However, pH, acetic acid, and propionic acid values did not differ between 1% and 2% amino acid treatment groups. In conclusion, adding 1% and 2% amino acid to weaned piglet diets reduced the pH, acetic acid and propionic acid contents of pig slurries by acting as a probiotic. This may help formulate increase management strategies for improving the pig housing environment.

PFOS 대체물질의 환경유해성에 관한 연구 (Study on Environmental Hazards of Alternatives for PFOS)

  • PFOS sodium salt ($C_8F_{17}SO_3Na$)는 28일 동안 미생물에 의한 분해가 이루어지지 않은 반면 4종의 대체물질($C_{25}F_{17}H_{32}S_3O_{13}Na_3$, $C_{15}F_9H_{21}S_2O_8Na_2$, $C_{23}F_{18}H_{28}S_2O_8Na_2$, $C_{17}F_9H_{25}S_2O_8Na_2$)은 각각 21.6%, 20.5%, 15.8% 그리고 6.4% 분해가 이루어졌다. Daphnia magna를 이용하여 48시간 동안 수행한 물벼룩급성독성시험에서 sodium salt ($C_8F_{17}SO_3Na$)의 반수영향농도($EC_{50}$)는 54.5 mg/L 인 것으로 확인된 반면 4종의 대체물질은 500.0 mg/L에서 아무런 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 500.0 mg/L에서 PFOS sodium salt($C_8F_{17}SO_3Na$)의 표면장력은 46.2 mN/m이었으며 대체물질 4종의 표면장력은 모두 PFOS sodium salt 보다 우수한 것으로 확인되었다. $C_{23}F_{18}H_{28}S_2O_8Na_2$ (20.9 mN/m)는 가장 낮은 표면장력을 갖고 있었다. 그 다음은 $C_{15}F_9H_{21}S_2O_8Na_2$ (23.4 mN/m), $C_{17}F_9H_{25}S_2O_8Na_2$ (27.3 mN/m) 그리고 $C_{25}F_{17}H_{32}S_3O_{13}Na_3$ (28.2 mN/m) 순인 것으로 확인되었다. 미생물분해시험, 물벼룩급성독성시험 그리고 표면장력측정 결과를 종합해 보면 4종의 PFOS 대체물질($C_{25}F_{17}H_{32}S_3O_{13}Na_3$, $C_{15}F_9H_{21}S_2O_8Na_2$, $C_{23}F_{18}H_{28}S_2O_8Na_2$, $C_{17}F_9H_{25}S_2O_8Na_2$)은 모두 PFOS sodium salt ($C_8F_{17}SO_3Na$) 보다 우수한 것으로 확인되었으며 특히 3종의 대체물질($C_{15}F_9H_{21}S_2O_8Na_2$, $C_{23}F_{18}H_{28}S_2O_8Na_2$, $C_{25}F_{17}H_{32}S_3O_{13}Na_3$)은 미생물분해율이 15.8~21.6%로 상대적으로 높고, 물벼룩급성독성과 표면장력측정이 PFOS sodium salt 보다 상당히 우수하다. 그러므로 이들 4종의 대체물질은 PFOS 대체물질로 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

SEOUL-10 모드에서 바이오디젤유 (5%) 적용시 커먼레일 디젤기관의 배기배출물 및 내구 특성 (Characteristics of Durability and Emission with Biodiesel Fuel (5%) in a Common Rail Direct Injection Diesel Engine at SEOUL-10 Mode)

  • A CRDI diesel engine used to commercial vehicle was fueled with diesel fuel and 5% biodiesel blended fuel (BDF 5%) and tested at the Seoul-10 mode for 150 hours. Engine dynamometer testing was completed at regularly scheduled intervals to monitor the engine performance and exhaust emissions. To check the engine parts (valve, injector), the engine was inspected after 150 hours running test. It was concluded that there was no unusual deterioration of the engine, or the changes in engine power (below 2.6%), smoke (below 6.2%), NOx (below 2%) and durability characteristics in spite of operation of 150 hours run with BDF 5%. The difference of kinetic viscosity for engine oil (before and after durability testing) was below 0.36%
