이동좌표계를 이용한 3차원 유도가열공정 해석 (Three Dimensional Analysis of Induction Heating Process using a Moving Coordinate)

  • Finite element analysis for induction heating process including magnetic and thermal situations is presented. Because magnetic and thermal material properties vary with the temperature, material properties depending on temperature are considered. As the inductor moves, the solution domains corresponding to the inductor change into those of the air and the solution domains corresponding to the air change into those of the inductor. For these reasons, modeling of induction heating process is very difficult with a general purpose commercial programs. In this paper, three dimensional analysis of induction heating process for moving inductor is analyzed using moving coordinate. The skin effect is confirmed inside the steel plate in the electro-magnetic analysis. The distribution of heat generation at the initial state is different from that at the quasi-stationary state. Therefore, material properties depending on temperature must be considered. The calculated results of finite element analysis agree well with the experimental temperature results. This approach is suitable to solve magneto-thermal coupled problems.

이동통신에서 발신호를 고려한 이중영역 위치등록방법 (Two Location Algorithm with Call Information in Mobile Communication Networks)

  • Two location algorithm (TLA) considers two location areas (LAs) to track the location of a mobile station (MS). The TLA significantly outperforms the single location algorithm when the call-to-mobility ratio (CMR) is low (i.e., the user moves more frequently than to receive calls). However, because of the paging cost for the users moving back to the previously visited LA, the performance of the TLA degrades when the CMR is high. To reduce those paging cost, we propose the new algorithm called TLA with call information (TLAC). In TLAC, we use the location information of the MS within the setup message when the MS originates a call in the previously visited LA. Through the setup message, the system can know the exact location of the MS without the additional location registration operation, and the paging cost for the arriving calls in the visited LA can be reduced. An analytical model is proposed to compare the TLAC and previous TLA protocol. Our study indicates that the TLAC always guarantees better performance than the TLA. We also observe that the TLAC is much better than the TLA when the CMR is high.

두 개의 산악 위에서의 연속적으로 성층화된 흐름의 흐름 체계 (Flow Regimes of Continuously Stratified Flow over a Double Mountain)

  • The flow regimes of continuously stratified flow over a double mountain and the effects of a double mountain on wave breaking, upstream blocking, and severe downslope windstorms are investigated using a mesoscale numerical model (ARPS). According to the occurrence or non-occurrence of wave breaking and upstream blocking, three different flow regimes are identified over a double mountain. Higher critical Froude numbers are required for wave breaking and upstream blocking initiation for a double mountain than for an isolated mountain. This means that the nonlinearity and blocking effect for a double mountain is larger than that for an isolated mountain. As the separation distance between two mountains decreases, the degree of flow nonlinearity increases, while the blocking effect decreases. A rapid increase of the surface horizontal velocity downwind of each mountain near the critical mountain height for wave breaking initiation indicates that severe downslope windstorms are enhanced by wave breaking. For the flow with wave breaking, the numerically calculated surface drag is much larger than theoretically calculated one because the region with the maximum negative perturbation pressure moves from the top to the downwind slope of each mountain as the internal jump propagating downwind occurs.

HNx 분위기가스중에서 BAF소둔시 코일의 온도변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Temperature Variation of Coil on BAF Annealing in HNx Atmospheric Gas)

  • A cold spot temperature control system for the batch annealing furnace has been established in order to reduce energy consumption which is essential to improve productivity and stabilize the properties of products. A relationship between annealing cycle time and gas flow rate is developed and also for the variation of coil cold spot temperature with time during heating, and actual temperature measurements at mid-width of each coil during soaking. The results of the temperature variation effect on the cold rolled steel sheet batch annealing are as follows. (1) Cooling rate increasing gradually with increasing atmospheric gas flow, but heating rate is hardly increasing without atmospheric gas component change. (2) In case of short time heating, the slowest heating part is the center of B coil and in case of ling time heating, the low temperature point moves from the center of coil to inside coil. (3) The outside of top coil is the highest temperature point under heating, which becomes the lowest temperature point under cooling. (4) Soaking time determination depends on the input coil width, and soaking time for quality homogenization of 1214 mm width coil must be 2 hours longer than that of 914 mm width coil.

  • 오늘날 큰 선박 및 구조물은 블록 형태로 만들어지고 조립된다. 수천 톤의 큰 대형 선박은 도크 또는 육상에서 큰 블록을 조립함으로써 짧은 기간 내에 만들어 진다. 이동 과정에 경사면을 만나게 되면 이동물이 기울어지게 되고 기울어진 상태로 경사면을 통과하는 경우, 블록이 전복하는 사고가 종종 발생한다. 본 연구는 트렌스포터의 이송 중량물의 평면상에서 무게 중심을 구하고, 더불어 3차원 상의 무게 중심을 구한다. 또한, ZMP(Zero Moment Point)를 이용하여 물체가 넘어지는 각도를 예측하는 연구를 수행하였다. 특히 경사면에서 물체의 이송과정 안정성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.

현대 건축에 있어서 신체의 의미와 디자인 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Meaning and the Design Trend of the Body in Contemporary Architecture)

  • This study is aimed to specify the meaning of the body and the design trends in contemporary architecture. Architecture is based on the human life of various meaning, events, experiences, images, senses and interactions through the body. Thoughts, behaviors, and senses of human are interrelated in architectural experiences. Individuals experience the built environments and space, not through the ideas but through the senses and movements of the body. So, bodies make the real space of architecture. Contemporary architecture accepts the theory of phenomenology and places on the thoughts of Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Heidegger, Nroberg Schulz and so on. Such researches effect on the architectural trends to make design processes works on the programs in views of the expansion and the structuralization of human body. In detail, the aim of this study is to analyse the architecture as the fields of the subject with body as the center, design processes and principles changed form metaphysical thought to phenomenological discourse, and the design trends in contemporary architecture at last. In process of movements, vision centered architecture moves into the bodily experienced architecture and changed the trends from absolute form design to design of relative processes. In conclusion, architectural formation-dissolution-reconstitution of body creates the architectural thoughts such as human proportions, perspective space, ergonomics, modular, organic architecture, experience space, synesthesia, event architecture, fashion-invoked architecture, interactive surfaces, metamorphosis, and others.

마이크로컴퓨터를 이용(利用)한 트랙터 작업기(作業機)의 자세제어(姿勢制御) 시스템에 관한 연구(硏究) (Tractor Implement Attitude Control System Using Microcomputer)

  • This study was attempted to develop the eletronic-hydraulic hitch system for controlling the attitude of tractor implements and to investigate control performance of the system through experiments. Main components of the system developed in this study were reference inputs panel, inclination angle detecter, electronic controller consisted of IBM-AT PC and interfaces, electro-hydraulic directional valves and other hydraulic components and three-point hitch linkage. Experiments were carried out to investigate the response of the system to the step and sine inputs. The effects of hydraulic flow rate and dead band on control performance were analized. Attitude of the implement was controlled within 2.4-5.1 degrees to the setting attitude when the hydraulic flow rate was in the range of $0.25-1.5{\ell}/min$. And implement was controlled without rapid amplitude attenuation and phase angle change in the frequency range of 0.02-0.2Hz when the hydraulic flow rate was in the range of $0.25-1.5{\ell}/min$. Control performance of the system can be expected to be improved if the inclination angle detecter show rapid and stable output as the implement moves.

VDL Mode-2에 적용 가능한 버스트 모드 심벌 타이밍 복원기 (Burst Mode Symbol Timing Recovery for VDL Mode-2)

  • 본 논문에서는 D8PSK 변조 방식을 이용하는 VDL Mode-2 수신기에 적용 가능한 버스트 모드 심벌 타이밍 복원기를 제안하고 성능 분석과 연동실험을 실시하였다. IIR 루프필터를 사용하여 심볼 타이밍 에러를 최소화 하는 방식은 수렴 속도가 늦기 때문에 버스트 모드에 적용하기 곤란하다. 즉 빠른 수렴 특성이 중요시 된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방식은 프리앰블을 이용하여 초기 동기가 이루어진 후 최대 심벌 전력을 갖는 방향으로 한 샘플 빠르게 또는 한 샘플 느리게 샘플 클럭을 이동하여 최적의 심벌을 취하는 방식이다. 제안된 방식을 적용한 수신기와 호주 ADS사 송신 장비와 연동 시험한 결과 100 ppm 이상에서도 잘 동작함을 확인하였다.

  • 산업현장의 열악한 작업중의 하나인 용접작업을 자동화하기 위한 방법으로 본 논문은 비접촉식 센서인 Fiber Sensor를 이용하여 용접선을 1차적으로 추적하고, 추적한 데이터를 텍스트 파일로 저장함과 통시에 2차적으로 추적한 용접선을 X-Y 로봇의 좌표값으로 다시 출력하여 용접을 하도록 하고 있다. Fiber Sensor를 통하여 읽어 들인 데이터는 Delphi Version 3.0을 이용하여 만들어진 프로그램을 통하여 처리하였고, I/O 입출력은 16 채널의 Relay Actuator 출력과 16 채널의 opto-isolated 입력이 가능한 PC의 ISA슬롯에 직접 삽입하여 사용하는 카드를 통해서 이루어졌다. 본 실험에서 용접선 추적은 직선, 기울기를 가진 직선 및 곡선에 관하여 추적을 행하였고, 추적한 데이터를 토대로 인버터 $CO_2$ 용접기를 사용하여 용접을 행하여 보았다.
