The purpose of the present study was to investigate dimensionality and psychometric properties of identified theoretical constructs of the 'Life Satisfaction Scale for Elderly(LSSE)', which was developed by Choi, Sung-Jae in 1986. Data was obtained from 'The survey of health and welfare status of the elderly aged 65 or older in Chung-Choo city'. The subjects were 275 elderly. Results showed that LSSE had a multi-dimensional structure with three theoretical constructs. Each theoretical construct was named as 'positive affect and subjective satisfaction', 'negative self image and affect', and 'self-value'. Three theoretical constructs had high levels of reliability and validity based on internal construct. 'Positive affect and subjective satisfaction' and 'negative self image and affect' showed high levels of convergent and discriminant validity. 'Self-value' had a high level of convergent validity but acceptable level of discriminant validity. Results of this study revealed that there was a difference in theoretical dimensionality of LSSE between this study and Choi's study, which explained the dimensionality of LSSE as a single dimension. However, the result of this study regarding theoretical dimensionality supported findings from existing studies which insisted that life satisfaction had a multi-dimensional structure.
In the 21st century the size of sales of food service business in Korea will be 30 trillion won which means Food service business in Koreas is a mega market, but it is only quantitative growth and might face the limit of growth. At the same time it is predicted that from the academic world Food service business will develop endlessly after IMF condition. Of course I hope so as a member of national. Al though I propose that quantitative side is important, qualitative side must not be disregarded the present and future customer is needs should be met because the 1st goal of company is to achieve a management goal and pursuit profit. The present situation requires a peculiar and specific strategy of its own which can not be followed by competing hotels so that value can be created and buying intention can be occurred after buying. Until now the goal of marketing campaign has been transacted marketing just for closing a transaction, but it must be related marketing which is seeking mutual interests of customer and company. The strategies to attain these goals are : 1) to change from products and service management-focused to customer management and relationship building-focused. 2) to establish a core strategy which needs to be changed from market occupancy of volume expansion to customer occupancy. 3) to change from one-way communication to two-way communication. 4) to change from large scale marketing by company dimension to small scale marketing by sections. If companies focus on core benefit and augmented service to be sought by customers and make every efforts to create a value customer occupancy will increase automatically, the reduction of marketing cost will be followed, and marketing efforts will be much more efficient. In introducing a new product it is still easier to diffuse through the existing customers, and also important market information can be obtained from customers using this close relationship. If this close relationship maintains well customers will say even a trivial inconvenience and complaint and propose an idea of new product. Kotler divides relationship marketing into 5 stages such as Basic, Reactive, Accountable, Proactive, and Partnership. From the 1st stage to the last stage customer management is absolutely important and also in management strategy. The last stage, Partnership can come into the stage which is actively participated in service development and problem solving by customers. so more loyal customers have more successful performance the company attain.
As the field of film aesthetics expands, the concept of classical the mise-en-scene expands too its scope. This paper examines the concept of mise-en-scene through spatial connections. The primary goals of this study are understanding the relation between the frame and the shot, the continuity between the scene and the sequence, and the aesthetic dimension to the plan-sequence. In modern cinema theory, the elements of mise-en-scene are more emphasized in terms of efficiency, but this study is concerned that the classical aesthetic system is still important. To this end, we examine the concept of plan-sequence, which was called the best technique of past visual realism aesthetics, is utilized in digital cinema. Finding significance for the modern use of plan-sequences is a secondary goal of this paper and we expect it to be a stepping stone to search for the aesthetics of digital cinema. The plan-sequence is one of the important factors that can be evaluated in the preparation and application of the event for the movie director. In the real world where the film itself is used commercially, digital film will have a conceptual tool that can utilize allegorics of 'geopolitical unconsciousness' through plan-sequences.

Ceramides, a constituent of stratum corneum lipids, play a crucial role in the formation and maintenance of the epidermal permeability barrier. As in many other skin disorders, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis show decrease and transformation of the ceramides. The application of ceramide has been demonstrated to be efficient in the repair of these skin disorders. Nevertheless, natural ceramides are still too expensive and small in quantity to be used as a cosmetic ingredient. Although a lot of pseudo-ceramides have been developed and on the market until now, those pseudo-ceramides did not fully meet the consumer's needs, therefore, there is still a demand for a novel pseudo-ceramides. We synthesized a novel pseudo-ceramide BPC-16 from 2-(2-amino-ethylamino)-ethanol(AEEA), which was characterized by structures having both amide bonds and hydroxyl groups as hydrophilic units, as well as two long alkyl chains. We formulated emulsion with BPC-16, cholesterol, stearic acid, and other components to make an emulsion. These emulsion showed a typical optical anisotropy on cross-polarized microscopy. This 'Maltese cross' appearance is a characteristic figure observed in concentric lamellar emulsion under cross-polarized microscopy. In cytotoxicity assay using MTT in monolayer and three dimension(3D) cell culture, a BPC-16 showed only negligible cytotoxicity up to the effective concentration for barrier repair and moisturization(less than 10 mM). In the measurement of TEWL, this BPC-16 showed significant recovery of water-retaining properties when it was topically applied to either SDS-induced dry skin or normal skin compared to that of base cream. This novel pseudo-ceramide BPC-16 showed as effective in skin barrier repair and moisturization as natural ceramides.
Regional rainfall quantile depends on the identification of hydrologically homogeneous regions. Various variables relevant to precipitation can be used to form regions. Since the type and number of variables may lead to improve the efficiency of partitioning, it is important to select those precipitation related variables, which represent most of the information from all candidate variables. Multivariate analysis techniques can be used for this purpose. Procrustes analysis which can decrease the dimension of variables based on their correlations, are applied in this study. 42 rainfall related variables are decreased into 21 ones by Procrustes analysis. Factor analysis is applied to those selected variables and then 5 factors are extracted. Fuzzy-c means technique classifies 68 stations into 6 regions. As a result, the GEV distributions are fitted to 6 regions while the lognormal and generalized logistic distributions are fitted to 5 regions. For the comparison purpose with previous results, rainfall quantiles based on generalized logistic distribution are estimated by at-site frequency analysis, index flood method, and regional shape estimation method.
Among the various thermal properties, thermal conductivity of soils is one of the most important parameters to design a horizontal ground heat exchanger for ground-coupled heat pump systems. It is well known that the thermal conductivity of soil is strongly influenced by its density and water content because of its particulate structure. This paper evaluates some of the well-known prediction models for the thermal conductivity of particulate media such as soils along with the experimental results. The semi-theoretical models for two-component materials were found inappropriate to estimate the thermal conductivity of dry soils. It comes out that the model developed by Cote and Konrad provides the best overall prediction for unsaturated sands available in the literature. Also, a parametric analysis is conducted to investigate the effect of thermal conductivity, water content and soil type on the horizontal ground heat exchanger design. The results show that a design pipe length for the horizontal ground heat exchanger can be reduced with an increase in soil thermal conductivity. The current research concludes that the dimension of the horizontal ground heat exchanger can be reduced to a certain extent by backfilling materials with a higher thermal conductivity of solid particles.

Injection molding is one of plastic forming technology which can easily mass-produce plastic parts with various and even complex shape. The technology has lots of difficulties in making a good part due to phase change of material, high applied pressure, and fast melt flow speed in the cavity. To overcome the problems, they had to make trial and error method until the CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) could be a tool for concurrent engineering. In this paper, we investigate the optimal design for a plastic DVD tray part by systematic approach of the commercial CAE program. In design, we should consider two objectives which are both dimensional stability and cost-down. The dimension of the part is crucial because the tray should carry a DVD correctly, but the part is too thin to injection-mold easily. In order to improve the moldability, the mold is designed in the form of stack mold which is a kind of 4 hot runner system. In first, we changed the stack-mold system with one hot-runner to cost down, and decided the optimal position of the gate. After that, we investigate the effect of both the layout of cooling channels and the cooling temperature on the shrinkage of the DVD tray. A optimal simulation approach, the gate design is 2Gate#3 and the layout is Case2 cooling line as the optimal temperature of $70^{\circ}C$. The Moldflow and PC+ABS are used for the CAE program and material respectively.
The entry of antipyrine and urea from the peritoneal cavity of rabbit into organ tissue and blood plasma was studied. Two hundred mg of antipyrine plus 300 mg of urea in 10 ml Ringer's solution was injected into the peritoneal cavity of anesthetized rabbit. The injection was made from above of a rabbit kept tying right side down and it enabled part of the abdominal organs (liver, intestine, kidney) was immersed in the injected solution and kept high concentration gradient throughout the experimental period. The remaining part of the organs was revered only by a thin film of the test solution. Subsequently, in this part of the organs the concentration gradient of the diffusible substances during entry was presumed to decrease as time elapsed. Four pieces of the liver tissue were taken namely, the right superficial, right deep, left superficial and left deep portions. Two were taken from the small intestine, one from the portion which was immersed in. the fluid and the other from that above the fluid mass. Both kidneys were separately analyzed. As a remote organ the gastrocnemius muscle was taken from the right leg of the animal. The intervals which were the time periods elapsed after injections were 5,7,10,15 or 30 minutes. At each point 5 animals were sacrificed and the concentrations of the test substances in the tissue water were measured. The results obtained were as follows. 1. In the liver the right portion which was immersed in the fluid showed higher concentration if the test substances than the left portion and the superficial region exceeded the deep region. The concentrations diminished as the time elapsed after infusion, particulary in the case of antipyrine, suggesting circulatory removal of the substances. In urea such decreasing tendency of the concentration was not obvious, and suggested slower removal rate of it as compared with that of antipyrine. 2. In the small intestine there was no regional difference in the concentration of the test substances. Because of the intestinal motility different portions of the intestine were seemed to have bathed in the fluid of the same concentration. In general the concentrations in the intestinal wall exceeded those of the liver, suggesting a slower removal rate than in the latter. 3. In the kidney the accumulation of the endogenous urea was predominant, and the accumulating mechanism in the renal tissue went on during the period of the experiment. Therefore it revealed increasing tendencies as the time elapsed. The penetration of the test substances in this organ from the peritoneal cavity seemed to be slower than in other abdominal organs, namely liver or small intestine. Part of the test substances in the kidney were obviously brought by the blood stream. 4. Rapid exponential decay of the concentration of antipyrine and of the osmolality of the peritoneal fluid was attributed to the extensive removal through the whole dimension of the peritoneal surface, and the remote organ such as the gastrocnemius muscle attained a fairly close value to that of the abdominal organs in less than 30 minutes. The factors which related to the absorption rate were discussed. They were the concentration gradient, permeability and the regional perfusion rate.

Emergency medical service pertains highly to the public service sector which has to be provided equally in a society and evenly in a spatial dimension by the government. However, emergency medical centers in Korea are inequally distributed in a space and also human capital, facility, and equipment for emergency medical centers show clear disparity among regions. This research analyzed the spatial balance of the demand supply level for emergency medical service in Seoul by constructing the potential demand surface map and supply surface map for this service. The surface map of demand-supply balance for emergency medical service was constructed by GIS based map algebra algorism. The results by this analysis very clearly reveal the spatial disparity of emergency medical service. The places where are over-represented by demand level compared to their supply level are estimated to require an additional establishment of emergency medical centers in the near future. While, the places where are over-represented by supply level compared to their potential demand for emergency medical services indicate the possibility of problems in the management of emergency medical centers because of a surplus in the supply of emergency medical services. The results of this research can be utilized in providing valuable information for the adequate provision of emergency medical centers and for the estimation of range on the service area of emergency medical services.

The purpose of this study was to analyze air temperature decreasing effects by shading and ventilation at micro-scale experiment plots, especially focused on the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) in outdoor spaces. To monitor the time-serial changes of Dry-bulb Temperature (DT), Globe Temperature (GT) and Relative Humidity (RH) in the wind blocking and shading conditions, Two hexahedral steel frames were established on the open grass field, the dimension of each frame was 1.5m(W)${\times}$1.5m(L)${\times}$1.5m(H). Four vertical side of one frame was covered by transparent polyethylene film to prevent wind passing through (Wind break plot; WP). The top side of the other frame was covered with shading curtain which intercept 95% of solar light and energy (Shading plot; SP). And, Another vertical steel frame without any treatment preventing ventilation and sunlight was set up, which represents natural conditions (Control plot; CP). The major findings were as follows; 1. The average globe temperature (GT) was highest at WP showing $50.94^{\circ}C$ and lowest at SP showing $34.58^{\circ}C$. The GT of natural condition (SP) was $42.31^{\circ}C$ locating the midst between WP and SP. The difference of GT of each plot was about $8-16^{\circ}C$, which means the ventilation and shading has significant effect on decreasing the temperature. 2. WP showed the highest average dry-bulb temperature (DT) of $38.41^{\circ}C$ which apparently differ from SP and CP showing $31.94^{\circ}C$ and $33.15^{\circ}C$ respectively. The DT of SP and CP were nearly the same. 3. The average relative humidity (RH) was lowest at WP showing 15.21%, but SP and CP had similar RH 28.79%, 28.02% respectively. 4. The average of calculated WBGT were the highest at the WP ($27.61^{\circ}C$) and the lowest at the SP ($23.64^{\circ}C$). The CP ($25.49^{\circ}C$) was in the middle of the others. As summery, compared with natural condition (CP), the wind blocking increased about $2.11^{\circ}C$ WBGT, but the shading decreased about $1.84^{\circ}C$ WBGT. So It can be apparently said that the open space with much shading trees, sheltering furnitures and well-delivered wind corridor can reduce useless and even harmful energy for human outdoor activity considerably in outdoor spaces.
