자계하의 DC 코로나 방전에 의한 NOx 제거 (NOx Removal Using DC Corona Discharge Under Magetic Field)

  • In this paper, experiments were carried out to study the decrease of NOx in simulated flue gases (initial concentration of NO 1000, 750, 400 ppm, : $N_2$ balance gas). Characteristics of NOx reduction are measured and analysed in corona discharge of multi needles to plane electrode structure and magnetic field. The best characteristics of NO reduction is measured when electric and magnetic field were supplied to reactor, at same time. Consumption power applied electric and magnetic field were higher than that of discharge applied only electric field.

  • This paper deals with magnetic field analysis and computation of cogging torque in IPM motor with an analytical method, which is based on the Conformal Mapping technique. The magnetic field is analyzed by solving space harmonic field analysis due to inserted PM magnetizing distribution. Conformal Mapping method is then used for considering the slot opening effect and rotor saliency effect on the air-gap field magnetic distribution. Then, by integrating the field over the stator surface, cogging torque is calculated. The validity of the proposed analytical method is confirmed by comparing the results with 2-D FEA results.

  • As the technologies such as middle-range resonant WPT (wireless power transfer) advance that utilizes medium and low-frequency magnetic field, the importance of safety of such magnetic field is growing. The research on the effect of electromagnetic field on the human body has been mainly done on the GHz range of mobile phones, or 50~60Hz range of electric power systems. However, there has been relatively few works on the 100kHz~10MHz range used in the resonant wireless power transfer. Since there is a difference in the limiting value of magnetic field between widely used ICNIRP EMF guideline and IEEE C95.1 standard, there can be possible confusion when establishing EMF (Electromagnetic Field) standard on the wireless power transfer device in the future. In this paper, the induced current in the human body, which is the basic restriction of the EMF guideline, is calculated using Quasi-static FDTD method when 3D high-resolution human model is exposed to the 100kHz~10MHz magnetic field. Using this result, the feasibility of the magnetic field reference level in the ICNIRP guideline is analyzed.

Magnetic Turbulence Associated with Magnetic Dipolarizations in the Near-Tail of the Earth's Magnetosphere: Test of Anisotropy

  • In this paper, the anisotropic nature of the magnetic turbulence associated with magnetic dipolarizations in the Earth's plasma sheet is examined. Specifically, we determine the power spectral indices for the perpendicular and parallel components of the fluctuating magnetic field with respect to the background magnetic field, and compare them in order to identify possible anisotropic features. For this study, we identify a total of 47 dipolarization events in February 2008 using the magnetic field data observed by the THEMIS A, D and E satellites when they are situated near the neutral sheet in the near-Earth tail. For the identified events, we estimate the spectral indices for the frequency range from 1.3 mHz to 42 mHz. The results show that the degree of anisotropy, as defined by the ratio of the spectral index of the perpendicular components to that of the parallel component, can range from ~0.2 to ~2.6, and there are more events associated with the ratio greater than unity (i.e., the perpendicular index being greater than the parallel index) than those which are anisotropic in the opposite sense. This implies that the dipolarization-associated turbulence of the magnetic field is often anisotropic, to some non-negligible degree. We then discuss how this result differs from what the theory of homogeneous, anisotropic, magnetohydrodynamic turbulence would predict.

  • Once high current flows through the vacuum interrupter, eddy current occurs due to the time-varying axial magnetic field caused by the current(AC) and it causes a decrease in axial magnetic field generated by current flowing through coil electrode. but if there are slots on contact electrode it is possible to increase the amplitude of axial magnetic field by reducing the influence of eddy current. there has been many studies about the number of slot of the contact electrode[1][2][3]. In this paper, in addition to these previous results we deal with the influence of the length and width of the slots on axial magnetic field at the mid-gap plane in 4 segment coil type vacuum interrupter by using 3D finite element method software.

  • On the contrary of a conventional motor with very narrow air-gap. it is difficult to calculate the accurate magnetic field distribution and the performance of an air-cored superconducting motor by 2 dimensional analysis. which does not use high permeability material except outer machine shield. This paper aims to do analysis of magnetic field and force distribution from the 3 dimensional modelling of a 1MW class superconducting synchronous motor. Especially. the field coil composed of Bi-2223 high-temperature superconductor and the outer machine shield are modelled by finite element analysis software according to their structures and the self-inductance and Lorentz force are calculated based on the 3 dimensional magnetic field calculation. Moreover. the influence of an important parameter, synchronous reactance, has been analyzed on the machine performances such as voltage variation and output power.

  • This paper deals with the prediction of armature reaction field produced by 3-phase stator windings whose current waveform contains significant harmonics. On the basis of 2-d analytical technics, we derived governing equation and predicted magnetic field distribution according to rotor position. The results of predictions from the analysis are compared with corresponding FE (finite element) analyses.

고출력 레이저 시스템을 위한 대구경 Faraday Rotator 제작 (Design of the Large Diameter Faraday Rotator for High-power Laser Systems)

  • We report on the design and experimental results of a large diameter faraday rotator for the high-power laser system(KLF: Kaeri laser facility) that was completed in late 2007s at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. The design involves modelling the magnetic field of cylindrical coil with large diameter(110 mm). Magnetic field generation coil is designed by 6 layers using a rectangular wire with cross-sectional area $3{\times}5[mm^2]$. We obtain an isolation ratio for optical feedback of 35 dB at 1064 nm and magnetic field strengths ${\sim}25kG$. We expect that the design can be widely used optical isolators in high-power laser system.

  • This paper deal with the prediction of magnetic field distribution for permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) with infinite operation range. The magnetic field distribution is predicted using a two-dimensional (2-D) analytical solution derived in terms of magnetic vector potential. The slotting and skew is considered using the relative permeance function. The results are validated extensively by finite element (FE) analyses.

  • 함정은 작전 운용관점에서 음향적 및 자기적으로 정숙성이 요구되며, 그 중에서 함정에서 발생하는 자기장 신호는 근거리에서 적의 감시체계 및 기뢰체계 등 위협세력에 의해 쉽게 노출되게 된다. 따라서 아함의 생존성 증대를 위하여 함정의 자기장 신호저감을 위한 다양한 기법이 연구되고 있으며, 최근에는 단순히 자기장 신호의 크기 감소 뿐 만 아니라 자기장 신호의 변화율 성분에 대한 감소까지 추가적으로 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상용 전자기 유한요소해석 도구를 이용하여 함정 축소모델에 대한 유도 자기장 신호를 예측하고, 소자코일을 배치하였다. 그리고 기울기 구속조건을 고려한 입자 군집 최적화 알고리즘을 적용하여 소자코일의 최적 소자전류를 도출하였다. 기울기 구속조건 유/무에 따른 소자 후 자기장 신호를 비교함으로써 최적 소자기법의 타당성을 해석적으로 검증하였다.
