  • 세계경제 포럼(World Economic Forum)에서 발표한 '교육의 새로운 비전(New Vision for Education)'은 '인재야말로 21세기 혁신, 경쟁력, 성장을 이끄는 핵심 요소'라고 하였다. 이처럼 인재의 중요성이 더욱 강조되고 있는 상황에서 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대에 맞는 R&D 인력 육성을 위해 기업가역량을 중심으로 위험을 감수하고 포착된 새로운 기회를 실현하는 도전정신을 가진 기업가 육성을 위한 방안을 고민해 보고자한다. 다시 말해 4차 산업혁명 시대는 지금까지의 문제 해결중심의 창업, 교육과정과는 다른 문제를 정확히 인식하고 미래변화에 인내를 가지고 유연하게 대처하는 능력의 인재 육성이 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 신입 R&D 인력 대상으로 현재 기업가역량을 평가하고 부족한 역량에 대해서는 보다 개선/강화할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다.

  • The industry field training course are offered a opportunities for industrial experience to students and Companies can take advantage of advanced workforce with minimum cost. Universities are taking a new collaborative educational systems that require on-site industry for the 21st century. Therefore, in this thesis, We intended to analyze factors influencing satisfaction of people studying in a situation that industry field training has been required to be a mainstream system of education in the midst of trend of changing paradigm of university education recently, and to suggest some possible solutions for industry field training at industrial complex campus.

  • This article explores how we pursue and operate the English medium instruction(EMI) in engineering colleges so as to educate global engineers. Engineering students in the 21st century society need to have fundamental work in languages, cultural differences, and strategies for working with diverse colleagues. EMI is not sufficient for preparing our engineering students to cope with the changed environments in our globalized society. Based on the case study, we emphasize that EMI needs to be located in the context of global engineering education which demands our understanding of different cultures and communication practices. We also suggest some programs how we develop our EMI circumstances.

  • 우리나라 전기전자공학과는 완전히 분리되어 있고 그 외에도 제어계측공학과, 전산기공학과, 전자통신공학과 등으로 분리되어 있으나 선진국에서는 하나의 학과로 되어 있다. 그리고 우리나라의 교과과정은 졸업에 필요한 과목수가 지나치게 많아서 한과목을 깊게 공부하는대산 여러과목을 훑어보는 식으로 운용되어 왔다. 전공과목수가 9개(실제로는 미분방정식과 졸업논문을 제외하면 7개) 밖에 안된다고 해서 M.I.T.의 전기전자공학 교육이 우리나라보다 못하다고 말 할 수는 없다. MIT의 교과과정이 오늘과 같이 된데에는 오랜 연구와 경험이 필요하였다. 즉 기술 과목만을 많이 가르쳐서 졸업시키면 졸업생의 대부분이 인문사회 출신 사장 아래에서 기술자 역할밖에 못한다는 것을 알았던 것이다. 2차 대전 당시 레이다를 포함한 각종 신형전자장비를 개발한 것은 공대출신보다는 물리학과 수학과 출신의 역할이 컸던 것이다. 특히, SPUTNIK이 1957년에 발사된 이후 미국의 공대들은 과학과목에 큰 비중을 두게 되었던 것이다. 최근에는 그 반작용으로 설계과목에 비중을 두기 시작하였다. 졸업후 2-3년 지나면 별로 쓸모없는 과목들을 많이 가르치는 것보다는 기초적인 과목만을 충실하게 가르치는 것이 훨씬 좋다고 본다.

Genetic Counseling in Korean Health Care System (한국 의료제도와 유전상담 서비스의 구축)

  • Over the years Korean health care system has improved in delivery of quality care to the general population for many areas of the health problems. The system is now being recognized in the world as the most cost effective one. It is covered by the uniform national health insurance policy for which most people in Korea are mandatory policy holders. Genetic counseling service, however, which is well recognized as an integral part of clinical genetics service deals with diagnosis and management of genetic condition as well as genetic information presentation and family support, is yet to be delivered in comprehensive way for the patients and families in need. Two major obstacles in providing genetic counseling service in korean health care system are identified; One is the lack of recognition for the need for genetic counseling service as necessary service by the national health insurance. Genetic counseling consumes a significant time in delivery and the current very low-fee schedule for physician service makes it very difficult to provide meaningful service. Second is the critical shortage of qualified professionals in the field of medical genetics and genetic counseling who can provide the service of genetic counseling in clinical setting. However, recognition and understanding of the fact that the scope and role of genetic counseling is expanding in post genomic era of personalized medicine for delivery of quality health care, will lead to the efforts to overcome obstacles in providing genetic counseling service in korean health care system. Only concerted efforts from health care policy makers of government on clinical genetics service and genetic counseling for establishing adequate reimbursement coverage and professional communities for developing educational program and certification process for professional genetic counselors, are necessary for the delivery of much needed clinical genetic counseling service in Korea.

Analysis Study for understanding the Pre-Service Teachers' View about Middle School Teacher's Role (중등교사 역할에 대한 예비교사들의 인식 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the view of pre-service teachers' about middle school teacher's role using reflective writing. Pre-service teachers considered meaning of education is sympathy and discovery. Therefore they considered middle school teacher's role is discoverer of dream and subject master. The consideration of pre-service teachers' about education and middle school teacher's role was affected by their schooling experience. The conclusions drawn from this study are follows: First, the view of pre-service teachers' about teacher's role must not judgement according as former grouping on teaching profession. Second, The view of pre-service teachers about middle school teacher's role is different with reality. So middle school management should be improve to minimize foreseeing dilemma. Third, To do improve pre-service teachers' reflecting thought, various opportunity should be supported. Forth, it is need the institutional improvement and reflection for pre-service teachers' curriculum.

  • 21세기 지식정보화 사회는 데이터를 수집, 조작, 가공할 수 있는 능력이 중요한 사회이다. 외국의 경우, 이러한 사회적 흐름에 걸맞게 초등학교 교육과정에서부터 체계적인 데이터베이스 교육이 실시되고 있으나, 우리나라는 아직 단순한 정보의 검색 및 활용 교육에 그치고 있다. 심지어 초등 정보영재를 위한 데이터베이스 교육 역시 컴퓨터 과학의 타 영역에 비해 매우 소홀히 다루어지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내외 데이터베이스 교육 현황을 분석하고, 초등학생을 위한 데이터베이스 교육 방안을 교육 내용 및 수준, 교수 학습 방법 및 평가의 측면에서 제안하였다. 내용 및 수준의 경우 초등학생이 실생활에서 접할 수 있는 과제를 중심으로 데이터베이스의 개념, 조작, 응용하기를 통해 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 하고, 평가하기는 과제 해결을 위해 필요한 지식 및 기술 수준 뿐만 아니라 문제해결력, 협력적 태도의 종합적 평가 방안을 제안하였다.

  • Combinatorics, often called the 21 st century mathematics, has turned out a very important subject for the present information era. Modern combinatorics has started from some mathematical works, for example, Pascal's triangle and the binomial coefficients, and Euler's problems on the partitions of integers and Konigsberg's bridge problem, and so on. In this paper, we investigate the origin of combinatorics by looking over some interesting ancient combinatorial problems and some important problems which have started various subfields of combinatorics. We also discuss a little on the role of combinatorics in mathematics and mathematics education.

  • Design education has been developed on the basis of higher education and continuing education for professional designers. This professional education has been regarded as a top priority in order to establish the discipline of design and status of designers in the society for the birth of design as a new discipline. Education of designers, however, should not be limited within the professional education led by higher education system. In order to educate designers having the competitiveness for the 21st century, it is necessary to expand the range of design education from higher education to general education by developing new programs. This paper is designed to investigate the importance and characteristics of 'Design-Based Education' by emphasizing design educational methods which are applied to the general education. As case studies, the current educational situations of England and United States of America are analyzed on the basis of their efforts and children's education programs. This study will provide the fundamental guideline for the development of K-12 design education in Korea.

A Study on a Convergence Education System to Improve University Students' Life Competencies (대학생의 생애역량 강화를 위한 융복합형 교육시스템 모색)

  • Life competencies most required for university students, who receive a higher education and prepare to go into society, are job competencies. People with a variety of competencies are needed in the job market in a globally-oriented 21st-Century knowledge-based society. Now that raising competent people who have a high level of job competency is regarded as one of university functions, a way to improve job competencies through university education needs to be investigated. This study proposes a convergence education system to improve job competencies. The convergence education system includes five type of convergence: convergence in major fields of study, convergence in education courses, convergence in education space, convergence in education methods, and convergence in education period. This education system is expected to improve a variety of job competencies including cognitive competencies, non-cognitive competencies, and global competencies.
