An Experimental Analysis of a Probabilistic DDHV Estimation Model (확률적인 중방향 설계시간 교통량 산정 모형에 관한 실험적 해석)

  • This paper is described as an experimental analysis for the probabilistic directional design hour volume estimation. The main objective of this paper is to derive acceptable design rankings, PK factors, and PD factors. In order to determine an appropriate distribution for acceptable design rankings, 12 probability distribution functions were employed. The parameters were estimated based on the method of maximum likelihood. The goodness of fit test was performed with a Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The Beta General distribution among the probability distributions was selected as an appropriate model for 2 lane roadways. On the other hand, the Weibull distribution is superior for 4 lanes. The method of the inverse cumulative distribution function came up with an acceptable design ranking of design for LOS D. An acceptable design ranking of 2 lanes is 190, while an acceptable design ranking for 4 lanes is 164. The PK factor and PD factor of 2 lanes was elicited for 0.119 (0.100-0.139) and 0.568 (0.545-0.590), respectively. On the other hand, the PK factor and PD factor for 4 lanes was elicited as 0.106 (0.097-0.114) and 0.571 (0.544-0.598), respectively.

Development of the Expected Safety Performance Models for Rural Highway Segments (지방부 국도의 사고예측모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The past researches on roadway segment safety estimation focused on intersections, which are the primary traffic accident regions. The past researches on roadway segments, However, analyzed the effects of certain factors on the traffic accident occurrence rate by organizing the individual geometric structures of the roads, and there is still a dearth of researches on the development of a traffic accident estimation model for rural roadway segments. Therefore, this research focused on rural two-lane and multilane roadway segments and developed traffic accident estimation models through the application of statistical techniques. This is required to explain such high frequency of zero counts in the traffic accident data. In this research, it was found that the Hurdle model is more suitable than the Poisson or negative binomial-regression model for explaining the excess zeros case. In addition, main variables were chosen to estimate their effects on traffic accident occurrence at rural roadway segments, and the safety at such rural roadway segments was estimated. In this research, it was assumed that there are different factors that affect the safety at two-way lane and multilane roadway segments, and a traffic accident estimation model was developed by dividing the two-way lane and multilane roadway segments.

  • 포항가속기연구소가 추진 중인 제4세대 방사광가속기에는 100 PPM급의 클라이스트론 펄스전압 안정도가 요구된다. 이러한 안정도는 PFN(pulse forming network)에 충전되는 전압을 얼마나 정밀하게 제어하는가에 따라서 결정된다. PFN의 최종운전 전압은 deQing circuit에 triggering되는 시점에 따라서 결정된다. DeQing trigger system은 PFN의 충전전압과 기준전압을 비교하여 충전전압이 기준전압보다 커지는 시점에서 charging choke(충전 쵸크)의 2차에 구성된 deQing 회로의 SCR를 트리거 시켜서 충전 쵸크 1차와 2차의 권선비율이 25:1인 충전 쵸크의 2차를 단락시켜 1차에 흐르는 전류를 2차로 빼주어서 PFN 커패시터에 더 이상 충전되지 않게 하는 구조로 되어있다. DeQing circuit에 triggering되는 시점을 정밀하게 제어하기 위하여 PFN 충전전압을 미분하여 그 출력전압에 비례하여 트리거 출력을 지연시키는 기능과 analog 신호를 digital 신호로 변환하는 기능을 사용하였다. 이 논문에서는 deQing 시스템에 관련된 회로 및 시험결과에 대하여 설명하고자 한다.

Development and validation of Accident Modification Factors of Two-Lane Rural Roadways (지방부 2차로 도로의 사고예측계수 개발 및 검증)

  • This study has aimed to develop accident modification factor(AMF) for rural two-lane roadway segments. Accident Modification Factor is a coefficient to assess roadway safety as reflecting characteristics of homogeneous roadway. It estimates accident frequency of roadway segments with developed base model and exposure. We found on items of such factors as crosswalk, driveway density, topography characteristic, land use and median through statistical models and literature review. To develop accident modification factors, we used statistical model methods and analyses of applicability and expert judgement method were practiced to validate it. Although expert judgement for land use item was questionable, most items were rated acceptable. Result of comparative analysis revealed crash frequencies of IHSDM and KHSEM were most similar with actual. However, accident distribution of KHSEM was more proper than IHSDM. Also overall estimated values of RSDS were found to be overestimated.

  • MX-S2X(선박중심직접통신)은 선박을 중심으로 한 D2D 통신을 통해 육상·선박·시설의 유기적 연결을 제공함으로써, 해양 분야의 4차 산업혁명에서 해상 통신 기술 인프라로서의 핵심 역할이 가능할 것으로 기대 된다. '초고속해상무선통신망 무설설비 다각화 및 통신연계 기술개발 '의 1단계 3차년도에서는 2차년도에 제작한 MX-S2X 1차 시제품에 대한 기능을 보완하고 ISM 대역의 소출력 요구사항을 만족하기 위한 DSSS을 적용하여 2차 시제품을 구현/제작하고 실제 해상환경에서 성능을 검증한다. 본 논문에서는 MX-S2X 2차 시제품에 대한 1, 2차 실해역 시험결과 및 향후 계획에 대해 공유한다.

An Analysis of Effectiveness of Geometric Improvement on Horizontal Curves in Two-Lane Highway (2차로도로 평면선형 구간의 기하구조 개선대책별 효과평가)

  • A two-lane highway has a high rate of head-on collisions, sideswipe collisions, crashes with an fixed object. This study was to analyze the weakness of a cross section and a horizontal curve in a two-lane highway and find countermeasures to improve the traffic operations and safety. This study evaluated the effectiveness of widening, curve flattening and superelevation, verified it with a case study and assessed the economical efficiency. This study selected the difference between tangent section operating speeds and curve section operating speeds as an evaluation index of horizontal curve section in a two-lane highway. The results indicated that curve flattening is the best way to improve the traffic safety in a two-lane highway. This study has implication that it provides the quantitative effects of curve flattening. Also directions for future study were discussed.

  • Recently interest in enlargement of existing tunnel located in downtown or mountain area have been considerably increased along with requirements and discussion on the road-widening. Therefore, it is necessary to study the construction method and stability of tunnel to enlarge the existing tunnel in design. In this study, the design concept on the alignment, excavation method, reinforcement to enlarge the existing tunnel is described on the basis of the enlargement of 2-lane road tunnel under construction. This paper suggests a proper design method for the enlargement of an existing tunnel in useful practice.

  • 본 논문은 RELUX를 이용해 도로조명 중에서 일반간선도로 및 고속화 도로설계에 주로 사용되는 마주보기와 지그재그 배열을 시뮬레이션 하는 실험 논문이다. 1차로 Starts an Artificial Light Calculation 시뮬레이션 분석을 하여 비교분석하였고 2차 General 시뮬레이션 분석 결과 값이 거의 일치 하게 나왔다. 배열이 달라도 차이가 없음을 확인하였다.

  • NREL Phase VI 12% 축소모델을 사용한 표준풍력터빈 풍동시험은 2006년에 1차 시험이 수행되었다. 1차 풍동시험은 복합재 블레이드를 사용하여 표준조건(설치각 3도)에 대해 수행되었으며 블레이드 표면상태에 따라 측정값이 영향을 받는 것을 파악하였다. 2007년 4월에 수행된 2차 풍동시험은 표면상태의 영향을 보다 정확히 파악하기 위해 알루미늄 블레이드를 사용하여 시험을 수행하였으며, 블레이드 제작 정밀도에 따른 영향을 파악하였다. 낮은 레이놀즈 수 영역(저속영역)에서는 블레이드 표면상태 따라 토크 값 다르게 나타나며, 블레이드 끝단 부근의 제작 정밀도는 최대 토크 이후의 영역에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 0.1mm 이내의 정밀도로 제작된 모델의 경우 NREL 시험결과와 전체적인 형상이 유사하게 나타나며, 축소효과에 의한 영향으로 최대토크는 약 25% 정도 감소현상을 보이고 있다.
