컴퓨터 편기를 사용한 철화자기 문양의 편성에 관한 연구 (Study on Computer Knitting for Patterns on Porcelain of Underglaze Iron)

  • Because of comfortable texture and easy treatment, more and more knit products has been required for leisure such as sports, traveling, hobbies, and various social activities. Therefore, the demand of knit is gradually increasing in the clothing industry. There are, however, several issues, which require solutions, and we must develop higher value-added products, which differentiate from those of developing countries allowing us to compete and win in the world market. The patterns on porcelain of underglaze iron, which had been popular from late-l5th century to mid-16th century, are diverse, unique, and traditional--so valuable patterns of our own. The computer hitting machine enables the designer to conceive new designs and produce samples of fabrics within a few minutes, which allows us to save time for mass production. Therefore, it is an essential tool for the knitting industry. After collecting, analyzing, and choosing various patterns on porcelains of underglaze iron, This study reflects the actual experience of hitting the fabrics with the patterns through the computer knitting machine which is also used to produce patterns after designing the new patterns through Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, which has several merits. This article compares and analyzes them for production, which uses the patterns that has been designed from the patterns on porcelains of underglaze iron.

17세기$\sim$19세기 남성 재킷류의 소매패턴 연구 (Study on Sleeve Patterns of Men's Jackets from 17C to 19C)

  • Men's outer wear, such as jackets and coats appeared since the 16th century. They have been changed from doublets, coats, justaucorps, tail-coats, frock coats and morning coats to contemporary men's suits. Since the early 17th century, sleeve patterns of men's outer jackets had been mostly two-pieces close fitted patterns. The purpose of this article is to compare sleeve patterns of various jackets, which appear in various historic costume books. Armhole measurements, sleeve head measurements, amounts of ease, armhole depths, armhole widths, crown heights, sleeve width and sleeve angle had been compared to find out the differences among patterns of different times and styles. Coming to the present, the difference between top sleeve and under sleeve became more obvious, and the sleeve angle became less curvy. Another interesting point is that there had been considerable amounts of ease, which is the difference between sleeve head measurements and corresponding armhole measurements. It is because the sleeve has been attached to the armhole not by seam but by string. It is believed that the present sleeves have more natural curve and shape compared to the past.

조선시대 '편전(便殿)'의 의미와 구성의 변화 (The Changes in the Meaning and the Composition of Pyeonjeon in Joseon Dynasty)

  • It is generally believed that Seonjeong-jeon and Heejeong-dang respectively served as Pyeonjeon of Chang-deok Palace in the earlier and the later period of Joseon dynasty. However, such belief is based on the concept of Pyeonjeon that emerged after the time of King Soonjo's reign(1800~1834). The concept and functions of Pyeonjeon varied among times ranging from Koryo to late Joseon dynasty. In the earlier Koryo dynasty, the word Pyeonjeon signified both "Pyeonjeon in relation to Jeong-jeon" or "Pyeonjeon as a casual office for the king". The ambiguity of the word was resolved when Bopyung-cheong and Jogye-cheong were established in the earlier Joseon dynasty. These buildings in Chang-deok Palace (and only Bopyung-cheong in Gyeong-bok Palace) held rituals related to events in Jeong-jeon, as well as their exclusive political rituals. Thus, the meaning of the term "Pyeon-jeon" became restricted to its second meaning, namely a casual building for the king's everyday office work and small banquets. However, the ambiguity reemerged from around the time of King Seong-jong's reign(1469~1494). In this period, Pyeonjeon as in relation to Jeong-jeon was often referred to as "Jeong-jeon", or "Beop-jeon" from the mid-16th century. In the 19th century, Pyeonjeon as king's casual office took over the characteristics and functions of Beop-jeon. Thus, the popular notion of "Pyeon-jeon" was newly established and passed onto nowadays.

한국, 일본, 중국의 역사 기록에 나오는 별똥비 및 별똥 소나기 목록 (A CATALOGUE OF METEOR SHOWERS AND STORMS IN KOREAN, JAPANESE, CHINESE HISTORIES)

  • 한국, 일본, 중국의 옛 역사 기록에 나오는 별똥비 및 별똥 소나기 기록 가운데 신뢰할 만한 것을 골라서 목록으로 만들었다. 우리의 새 목록에는, 한국의 기록은 35개, 일본은 29개, 중국은 93개의 별똥비 및 별똥 소나기 기록이 들어 있다. 별똥비 및 별똥 소나기는 10세기와 16세기경에 많이 나타났다. 각 별똥비 기록의 근일점 이후 지난 날짜를 조사해본 결과 10세기경에 주로 페르세우스 별똥비에 의한 기여가 컸고, 16세기의 증가는 사자자리 별똥비에 의한 기여가 컸다. 이 결과로부터 10세기의 별똥비의 폭증이 황소자리 별똥 흐름 때문이라는 종래의 견해에 반론을 제기하였다. 우리는 또한 물병자리 에타 별똥비, 페르세우스자리 별똥비, 오리온자리 별똥비, 사자자리 별똥비 등이 지난 2천년 동안 꾸준히 존재해왔음을 알아냈다. 이 가운데 물병자리 에타 별똥비는 기원전 687년 기록이 가장 오래된 것이며, 페르세우스자리 별똥비 기록의 경우 기원후 36년의 것이 가장 오래된 것임을 알아냈다. 또한 핼리혜성이 어미혜성(mother comet)인 물병자리 에타 별똥비와 오리온자리 별똥비의 궤도가 이동한다는 종래의 주장도 부정되었다. 가장 오래된 사자자리 별똥비 기록은 기원후 902년 기록이 아니라 기원후 288년 중국 기록임일 가능성이 큼을 알아냈다. 또한 우리는 용자리 알파 별똥비에 해당하는 별똥비 기록으로 보이는 일련의 기록들을 찾아냈다. 본 연구에서 제시한 한국, 일본, 중국의 별똥비 및 별똥 소나기 목록은 앞으로 별똥비 연구에 도움을 줄 것이다.

몽산(蒙山) 덕이(德異)의 『몽산화상육도보설(蒙山和尙六道普說)』 판본고(板本考) (A Study on the Publication of Liudao Pushuo, One of Mengshan De-yi's Works)

  • 이 연구는 중국의 송 원대 임제종(臨濟宗) 양기파(楊岐派)의 승려인 몽산(蒙山) 덕이(德異)의 저술 "몽산화상육도보설(蒙山和尙六道普說)"의 간행 현황을 파악하고 현존(現存) 판본을 분석한 것이다. "육도보설"은 현재 중국에는 없으며 우리나라에만 존재하는 것으로 일체유심조(一切唯心造)의 입장에서 육도(六道)와 사성(四聖)을 더한 십계(十界)를 내용으로한 설법집이다. 조사 결과 전국 주요 사찰에서 개판된 판본은 모두 22종이 현전하고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 22종을 대상으로 형태 분석과 행자수를 바탕으로 계통 분석을 시도한 결과 절첩장본을 제외하고 모두 사주단변, 10종은 흑구와 내향흑어미가 쌍으로 나타나는 조선 전기의 전형적인 판식을 보이고 있었으며 계통 분석에서는 13자본계가 주류를 이루고 있었다. 시기 및 지역 분석에서는 15세기에서 16세기에 전라, 충청 지역을 중심으로 집중 간행된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 책은 고려 말에 우리나라에 전래된 이래 조선시대 15세기에서 16세기 사이에 활발히 간행된 현상을 보이고 있어 이 시기에 몽산의 선사상이 우리 불교계에 끼친 영향을 짐작해 볼 수 있다.

18세기 고고학적 풍경화에 대한 연구: 파니니의 카프리초를 중심으로 (A Study on the Archaeological Landscape-painting of the 18th century: Focusing on the Capriccio of Giovanni Paolo Pannini)

  • Capriccio which has emersed in Italy of the 18th century is a new genre of the landscape painting. This genre represents reality, but it is very artificial product correspondingly its concept and character. It's birth place is distributed on various regions in Italy, but the main stage was Rome. Till the middle of the 18th century Rome was the Holy city of the Grand tour, the home of the Neo-Classicism and furthermore the field where archaeology and art history began to be instituted. On such historical situation the Capriccio came out and was recognized as the best popular genre in the visual art. It was favor of the art collection with the antiquity together and reflected the consciousness of the contemporary to the ancient. This study will examine the phenomena in the newly-developed archaeology and with few representative works of Giovanni Paolo Pannini as central term consider the Capriccio and the archaeological connotation. The systematical and institutional archeology which appeared at the age of the Enlightenment, on the contrary to the critical theories at the same time against capriccio, because it was regarded by them as paradoxical and too much sensitive, utilized it as a theoretical method very actively. Some among Historians and archaeologists did it, especially Francesco Bianchini distinguished the capriccio from simple imagination and made it a capacity of the knowledge. And through it he wanted to find out the historical truth. The visual art was influenced and encouraged by such attitude of the archaeology. However it's output spreaded out in various courses. While Giovanni Battista Piranesi, the best known Capriccist of the 18th century, tried to revive the antique through the epical value and his own imagination, Pannini gave priority to the strict historical research. In the such context Panni succeed Giovanni Battista Nolli who made the great map of the city Rome. Their Capriccio profited motive and was inspired by the historians and archaeologists such as Bianchini and Muratori. The Capriccio reflects not only the academic and popular interest for the antique, but also influenced on the upcoming scientific archaeology vice versa. It caused by their reasonable Interpretation and restoration of the antique through the visual medium. Finally as archaeological landscape Pannini's Capriccio is a historical case, in that the Capriccio applied the theoretical method of the archaeology to make art. It served as a momentum for the connotation to the archaeological thought.

  • Having looked at the effect of "Eui Hak Ip Mun", published at the end of the 16th century, on "Dong Eui Bo Gam", Author have concluded that there is difference in the view regarding the concepts of understanding human body and diagnosing disease. Also, "Dong Eui Bo Gam" is using "Eui Hak Ip Mun" selectively to establish a new medical system.

EU 국가의 유기농업 실태와 시사점 (Implications and Situations of Organic Farming in EU)

  • Organic farming including organic livestock farming in EU has been extended since the latter half of the 19th century. Especially, the organic farming area of Italy, Spain, Germany and U.K. is extensive compared to other EU countries. And organic farming area has been extended rapidly in Portugal and Greece. EU will have an influence on many countries' organic farming on the history and world agriculture. If FTA reaches between Korea and EU, livestock products like ham or sausage will be imported a great deal from EU. So Korea has to establish countermeasures to livestock products export strategies of EU.

The Central Concept for Chitin Catabolic Cascade in Marine Bacterium, Vibrios

  • The enzymatic hydrolysis of chitin has been studied for almost a century, and early work established that at least two enzymes are required, a chitinase that mainly yields the disaccharide N,N'-diacetylchitobiose, or $(GlcNAc)_2$, and a "chitobiase", or ${\beta}$-N-acetylglucosaminidase, which gives the final product G1cNAc. This pathway has not been completely identified but has remained the central concept for the chitin catabolism through the $20^{th}$ century1 including in marine bacteria. However, the chitin catabolic cascade is quite complex, as described in this review. This report describes three biologically functional genes involved in the chitin catabolic cascade of Vibrios in an attempt to better understand the metabolic pathway of chitin.

조선시대 직물에 나타난 보배무늬의 변화 경향과 구성 유형 (Changing Trends and Classification of Composition Styles of Treasure Patterns on Textiles in Joseon Period)

  • Treasures patterns are simplified designs of vessels used in everyday life, which were symbols of luck. Treasures patterns on textiles are largely assorted into four groups: eight auspicious patterns of Buddhism, eight immortal patterns of Taoism, seven treasures patterns of King Chakravarti in the Buddhist Scriptures and normal treasures patterns. Among them normal treasures patterns are most commonly used. Records in the Joseon documents show these patterns as being composed of seven treasures patterns or eight treasures patterns. But observation of the actual relics show that these patterns ranged from four to ten patterns. Korean traditional textiles treasures patterns began to appear in Korea on the relics of the last of Goryeo period. They were used as sub-patterns among main patterns of dynamically rising cloud patterns with five heads. Treasures patterns in the early Joseon period were commonly used as sub-patterns, and cloud and treasures pattern were prime examples of this. In the 16th century, lotus vine pattern, small flower vine pattern, or small flower pattern were often used as main patterns and treasures patterns were regularly used as sub-patterns. The robe of the Great Monk of Seo San was unique, in that both main and sub patterns consisted of the treasures patterns. From the 17th century, treasures patterns began to be used as main patterns. For example, a relic with eight alternatively arranged treasures patterns were found. Though there were still some cases where the patterns were used as sub-patterns, they begin to appear bigger than the previous period and became similar to main patterns in size. In the 18th and 19th centuries, there were various cases where treasures patterns were combined with flowers, fruits, animals, and letter patterns and used as main patterns. And there are many different methods of representing and developing the patterns.
