동씨침법(董氏針法)과 십이정경(十二正經)의 상관성(相關性)에 관(觀)한 연구(硏究) (Bibliographic Study on the Interrelation between Dong Shi' Acupuncture and Twelve Regular Channels)

  • In the clinics of traditional medicine, various acupuncture methods, that is Sa-Am' acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture and Dong-Shi' acupuncture, have been introduced and increased gradually to treat the diseases. In this bibliographic study, we examined the interrelation between the Dong Shi' acupuncture and 12 regular channels. The theoretical origination of Dong Shi' acupuncture and 12 regular channels was applied from Yin and Yang, Five Element, State of Viscera and so on. As the treatment using by 12 regular channels have used to 'regulating Qi and Treating Shin (調氣治神)', Dong Shi' acupuncture have used to the itself defense mechanism and relative balance of human beings. Also, these methods have the same rules that was selected to the opposing needling (巨刺) of remote point selection, however, Ah-Shi' points (阿是穴) were not used for the selection. Of Dong-Shi' acu-points, there were many ones which have the same location as the acupoints of regular channels. However, these one was renamed according to the new characteristics and therapeutics found by Dong Shi. Dong Shi' acupuncture has divided human body to the 12 areas but not considered to the concept of a mutual connection of human being body. The needling manipulation methods were vary at the regular channels, but Dong Shi' acupuncture did not use the traditional manipulation method except for supplementary Dong-Qi acupuncture, To-Ma acupuncture and To-In acupuncture. From these study, we found that the Dong-Shi' acupuncture have something in common with 12 regular channels, although the Dong-Shi' acupuncture was not based on the theory of 12 regular channels.

독맥경과 임맥경에 대한 심층해부학 (Intensive Anatomical Studies on the Du Channel and the Ren Channel)

  • For the purpose of experimental and clinical studies on the 14 channels and collaterals, we performed an inquiry on the anatomical mapping of neronal, circulatory and muscular networks in the human body which possibly correspond to the major pathway of Du channel and Ren channel known to be critical for overall controlling and mediating 12 regular channel connections. The theoretical background of this analysis was based on the oriental medicinal treatises which described acu-points and related anatomical informations. We suggest that rearrangement methodology for the 12 regular channels as described here may be applied to other 12 regular channels and to develop the new concept on the elucidation of the medical efficacy based on precise anatomical localization of channels and collaterals as well as the meridian points. It is proposed that interdisciplinary studies between oriental and western medicine are critical for more efficient achievement.

환형 관내의 데토네이션 파 전파 특성 해석 (Numerical Analysis of Detonation Wave Propagation Characteristics in Annular Channels)

  • 본 논문에서는 환형 관에서의 데토네이션 파의 전파 특성을 살펴보았다. 이전의 연구에 이용된 수치 기법과 이동 계산 창 기법을 본 연구에 이용하였으며, 관 폭의 값으로 무차원화 된 곡률 반경을 유일한 기하학적 변수로 고려하여 일련의 해석을 수행하였다. 곡률 반경이 작은 환형 관에서 데토네이션 파는 불안정하여 정규적인 데토네이션 셀 구조가 나타나지 않으며 셀 구조가 유지될 수 있는 임계 곡률 반경이 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 곡률의 효과로 관의 내벽 및 외벽은 압력 차가 발생하며, 외벽 쪽에 서는 overdriven 데토네이션의 경향을 가진다. 예상할 수 있는 바와 같이 곡률 반경이 커지면서 직선관의 결과에 수렴한다.

Design of Quasi-Cyclic Low-Density Parity Check Codes with Large Girth

  • In this paper we propose a graph-theoretic method based on linear congruence for constructing low-density parity check (LDPC) codes. In this method, we design a connection graph with three kinds of special paths to ensure that the Tanner graph of the parity check matrix mapped from the connection graph is without short cycles. The new construction method results in a class of (3, ${\rho}$)-regular quasi-cyclic LDPC codes with a girth of 12. Based on the structure of the parity check matrix, the lower bound on the minimum distance of the codes is found. The simulation studies of several proposed LDPC codes demonstrate powerful bit-error-rate performance with iterative decoding in additive white Gaussian noise channels.

대규모 VOD 시스템을 위한 효율적인 P2P 기반의 프록시 패칭 기법 (An Efficient P2P Based Proxy Patching Scheme for Large Scale VOD Systems)

  • 대규모 VOD 시스템에서는 동시에 다수의 클라이언트 요청에 따른 서버 저장장치 및 네트워크 대역폭 병목현상이 발생하며, 이를 해소하기 위한 효율적인 서버 대역폭 감소 기법이 필요하다. 패칭 기법은 멀티캐스트를 활용한 대표적인 VOD 시스템의 병목현상 해결 기법 중의 하나이다. 본 논문은 기존 패칭 기법의 성능 향상을 위하여 프리픽스 캐싱과 P2P 프록시를 결합한 새로운 P2P 프록시 패칭 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법에서 각각의 클라이언트는 자신이 받고 있는 스트림을 동일한 비디오를 요청한 다른 클라이언트들에게 멀티캐스트 함으로써 다른 클라이언트를 위한 프록시 역할을 수행한다. P2P 프록시와 프리픽스 캐싱의 사용으로 인하여 패칭 윈도우 크기를 벗어나는 사용자 요청들은 새로운 정규 채널을 생성하는 대신 이전의 패칭 그룹에 속한 다른 클라이언트로부터 정규 스트림을 전송받음으로써 서버로 집중되는 부하를 줄일 수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 프리픽스 크기와 요청 간격에 따른 서버의 대역폭 요구량을 측정한 결과에서 제안된 기법이 기존의 패칭 방법보다 서버의 평균 대역폭 요구량을 전체적으로 약 $33\%$ 감소시킬 수 있음을 보인다.

히트싱크 미세채널 내의 입구유동 영역에서의 단상 열유동 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Single-Phase Thermal and Hydrodynamic Characteristics in the Entry Region of a Mini-Channel Heat Sink)

  • Although the advance in electronic technology enables a large number of circuity to be packed in a small volume, it is simultaneously required to remove the high heat load produced by them. In this study, the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of a mini-channel heat exchanger, which is designed for liquid cooling of electronic components, are investigated by varying operating conditions. Water and FC-72 were used as working fluids. The mini-channel heat exchanger was made with circular shape channels having din-meters of 2, 3, and 4 mm in regular intervals, and the channel length was 100 mm. The header and inlet guide pathway to provide uniform inflow were attached at the inlet of the test section. Copper block including the heaters was attached at the sidewall of the test section as a heat source, which provided the heat flux from 5 to $15W/cm^2$. The entrance effects enhanced the heat transfer coefficient in the mini-channel significantly. In addition, the single-phase pressure drop in the mini-channel was very similar to that predicted by the laminar flow correlation except that the transition Re decreased due to flow instability in the entrance region.

암환자들의 식행동과 건강식품 섭취실태에 관한 연구 (Dietary Behaviors and Consumption of Health Food among the Cancer Patients)

  • This study was performed to investigate dietary behaviors and consumption of health food in cancer patients. The subjects were 163 cancer patients recruited from the general hospital in Seoul, Korea. The data were obtained by the structured self administered questionnaire. The mean age of subjects was 51 years. Most of subjects didn't eat the visual fat of meat and chicken skin. The mealtime of the subjects was generally regular and most of subjects had breakfast. The subjects of this survey liked to eat foods with sweet taste but disliked to eat hot, salty and sour taste ones. The preference for fish, marine products and vegetables was high but that for instant foods and frying foods was very low. Most of subjects consumed the foods that is generally known as anticancer foods such as vegetables and fruits. On the other hand, most of subjects didn't intake butter, margarine, and frying foods that is known as risk factors of cancer. The majority of subjects$(84.7\%)$ consumed the health food The main reasons for taking health foods by subjects were to cure disease$(58.0\%)$, to prevent disease$(45.3\%)$, to supply nutrients$(39.3\%)$, to maintain the mental state$(12.7\%)$ and to recover fatigue$(10.7\%)$. Majority of subjects$(66.0\%)$ spent money more than 200,000 won/month to buy health foods. The purchasing channels of health foods by subjects were recommendation by family or friend$(64.0\%)$, by physician/pharmacist$(18.0\%)$ and by nutritionist or dietician(6.0), and advertisement through TV or radio$(12.0\%)$. The types of taking health foods of the subjects were vegetable extracted food$(60.0\%)$, mushrooms$(51.3\%)$, Lactobacillus food$(25.3\%)$, enzyme food$(22.6\%)$ calcium containing food$(20.0\%)$ and so on. The results of the current study show that although many cancer patients already practice healthy dietary behaviors, there is a substantial proportion who do not and most of cancer patients consume health foods.' Further intervention is needed to explore the effect of health foods in cancer patients

지상파 DMB 자동재난경보방송표준 설계: 제2부 서비스 모델, 전송 채널, 서비스 시그널링 (Design of T-DMB Automatic Emergency Alert Service Standard: Part 2 Service Model, Transport Channel, and Service Signaling)

  • 본 논문은 지상파 DMB자동재난경보방송을 위한 서비스 모델, 전송 채널, 서비스 시그널링의 설계에 대해 기술한다. 우선 본 논문의 설계와 관련한 지상파 DMB 방송 기술 및 표준을 분석한다. 다음으로 일반적인 DMB 서비스와의 재난경보방송 서비스의 차이점에 대해 기술하고, 기존의 서비스 모델에 재난경보방송 서비스를 적용할 경우 발생하는 문제점을 파악한다. 본 논문에서는 공통 서비스라는 새로운 개념을 제안하여 재난경보방송 서비스 모델을 설계한다. 다음으로 재난정보를 전송하기 위한 전송 채널을 선택한다. 문자를 기반으로 하는 핵심적 내용의 메시지와 이를 보완하는 멀티미디어 추가정보로 재난정보를 구분하여 각각을 위한 전송채널을 선택한다. 메시지 전송을 위해 FIDC를 사용하는 EWS (FlG 5/2)를 선택하고, 추가정보는 MSC를 사용하는 모든 채널을 사용할 수 있도록 제안한다. 마지막으로, 이러한 공통 서비스와 전송 채널을 수신기에 알리기 위한 시그널링 방법을 설계한다. MCI를 사용할 경우의 발생하는 문제점을 파악하여 이를 해결할 수 있는 새로운 시그널링 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문의 내용은 추후 타 디지털 방송매체를 위한 재난경보방송 시스템 및 표준 설계에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

어린이의 식습관(食習慣)이 체위(體位)에 미치는 영향(影響)에 관한 연구(硏究) (The Influence of Food Habits on Body Stature of Children)

  • The Purpose of this study was to determine every possible correlation between food habits and body statures of primary school children, aged ten years old. This study was conducted from July to October of 1975. In July, prepared questionaires concerning life style, anthropometry, food preference, and food behavior were distributed through school teachers to 425 children; 219 boys and 206 girls, in the 5th grade of three elementary schools in the city of Seoul. Then, in October, when subjects had been classified into underweight/obese by statistical analysis, mothers of obese or underweight children were interviewed by the authors to determine weaning history, daily food consumption of their children, and opinions of various snacks for children. Analysis of results in terms of correlation coefficient, chisquare test and percentage calculations, are as follows: 1. Physical growth and development Boys Girls Height (cm) $134.8{\pm}5.74\;134.4{\pm}5.97$ Weight (kg) $30.0{\pm}4.27\;29.5{\pm}5.16$ Chestgirth (cm) $64.1{\pm}3.59\;63.3{\pm}3.81$ Arm circumference (cm) $18.3{\pm}1.61\;18.2{\pm}1.70$ Triceps skinfold thickness (mm) $10.9{\pm}5.13\;12.7{\pm}4.86$ Various indices of nutrition such as relative weight, relative chestgirth, $R{\ddot{o}}hrer's$ index, Kaup index, Vervaeck index were determined. 2. Food habits 1) Food $preference{\cdots}{\cdots}A$ varying number of foods were selected from 60 items were accepted. It was found that the food which children liked best was fruit and snacks were popular one. Lowest ranking among LIKED foods were from strongly flavored vegetables and organ meat. In general, girls had more food dislikes than did boys. Selected as liked foods were fruits, rice noodle soup, biscuits, and peanuts. Disliked foods were liver, green onions, onions, green pepper, mushrooms, oysters, shellfish, and pork. Items which children never ate before were liver, mushrooms, fish cake, boiled rice mixed with sorghum, mayonnaise, and fresh water firsh. Reasons which children gave for dislike were undesirable flavor and odor. 2) Food $behavior{\cdots}{\cdots}It$ was found that boys liked sweet and salty flavors more than did the girls who more often liked sour flavor. The majority of children enjoyed evening meals more than lunch and breakfast. A number of children skipped breakfast because of lack of appetite or lack of time before going to school. Snacks were the most popular food, especially among girls. Their snacking habits were formed by the encouragement of the mother, and the relieve boredom. Educational backgrounds of mothers and family economical levels of children were remarkable correlated with mothers' attitudes toward feeding of children. There were several interesting findings relating body stature to some other responses; such as that the obese child has a small number of brothers, higher birth order, higher educated mothers and higher family cultural background. It was also discovered that food perference, except for fat and oil group foods was not related to body stature. Sweet taste was liked best and pepperly taste was mostly disliked. Sour taste was popular in the group of underweight. Underweight children were more finicky, disliked snacking, and didn't get much attention from their mothers. 3) Correlation between body stature and nutrition during their infancy. The majority of children, both from obese and underweight, were breast fed as infant. Twenty five per cent of obese children and 17.4 per cent of underwight children started weaning at $1{\sim}6$ months old. The most popular supplemental food of weaning was cereal gruel for the obese group, while boiled white rice and cereal gruel were most common for the underweight group. Highly significant relationships were found between stature of parents and their children. In the obese group 47.8 per cent of fathers and 45.9 per cent of mothers were overweight; however, none of the fathers and only one mother was found to be underweight. In daily food consumption patterns, meals consisting of bread or noodle were popular in the obese group but disliked by the underweight group. The study found clear contrast in that the obese group liked meat and fish while the underweight group liked fruits and vegetables, especially kimchee. The obese children desired to eat cereal foods, milk and milk products, and fat foods while the underweight group desired to eat fruits and vegetables. Frequency of snacks per day was much greater in the obese group. Foods which mothers believed to be good for the health were carrots, cucumbers, fruits, milk, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and breads, while sweet foods such as candies, drinks. chocolate were considered not good for the teeth. Watching television was not significantly related to statures of children. Most significant relationships were found beween frequencies of family guest meals/and eating-out, and children's statures. Nutritional problems which have been considered for the malnourished children in addition to those of children who have a tendency toward obesity, must be taken into consideration in the development of proper nutrition education through the channels of regular school teaching and teaching by parents in the homes. Korean standards of anthropometric measurements for children should be revised, current measurements show much higher figures than present Korean standards.
