In this paper, a low-power 2.4 GHz front-end for sensor network application (IEEE 802.15.4 LR-WPAN) is designed in a 0.18 um CMOS process. A power supply circuit with a novel temperature-compensation scheme is presented. The simulation and measurement results show that the front-end (LNA, Mixer) can achieve a voltage gain of 35.3 dB and a noise figure(NF) of 3.1 dB while consuming 5.04 mW (LNA: 2.16 mW, Mixer: 2.88 mW) of power at $27^{\circ}C$. The NF includes the loss of BALUN and BPF. The low-IF architecture is used. The voltage gain, noise figure and third-order intercept point (IIP3) variations over -45$^{\circ}C$ to 85$^{\circ}C$ are less than 0.2 dB, 0.25 dB and 1.5 dB, respectively.
This paper present an 8kbps ACLMS-MPC(Amplitude Compensation and Least Mean Square - Multi Pulse Coding) coding method integrated with ACFBD-MPC(Amplitude Compensation Frequency Band Division - Multi Pulse Coding) and LMS-MPC(Least Mean Square - Multi Pulse Coding) used V/UV/S(Voiced / Unvoiced / Silence) switching, compensation in a multi-pulses each pitch interval and Unvoiced approximate-synthesis by using specific frequency in order to reduce distortion of synthesis waveform. In integrating several methods, it is important to adjust the bit rate of voiced and unvoiced sound source to 8kbps while reducing the distortion of the speech waveform. In adjusting the bit rate of voiced and unvoiced sound source to 8 kbps, the speech waveform can be synthesized efficiently by restoring the individual pitch intervals using multi pulse in the representative interval. I was implemented that the ACLMS-MPC method and evaluate the SNR of APC-LMS in coding condition in 8kbps. As a result, SNR of ACLMS-MPC was 15.0dB for female voice and 14.3dB for male voice respectively. Therefore, I found that ACLMS-MPC was improved by 0.3dB~1.8dB for male voice and 0.3dB~1.6dB for female voice compared to existing MPC, ACFBD-MPC and LMS-MPC. These methods are expected to be applied to a method of speech coding using sound source in a low bit rate such as a cellular phone or internet phone. In the future, I will study the evaluation of the sound quality of 6.9kbps speech coding method that simultaneously compensation the amplitude and position of multi-pulse source.

In this paper, we proposed predistortion algerian that can compensate temperature distortion by digital. Predistortion algorithm produces compensation value of distortion by temperature as well as system nonlinear distortion by input level, and warps beforehand signal of baseband. To prove excellency of such algorithm we applied predistortion algorithm to Saleh's high power amplifier model, and did computer simulation. As a result, P1dB increased about 0.5 dBm phase shift reduced about $0.8^{o}$ than existent the A&P PD, and predistiortion algorithm to apply temperature compensation techniques improved P1dB about 2dBm and stabilized phase shift by about $0.1^{o}$ low. When approved UMTS's sample signal to this amplifier, IMD3 of amplifier decreased 10dBm than is no temperature compensation techniques, and reduced 19dBm than signal that is no distortion.
This paper presents a compensation method for a temperature-dependent gain tilt in L-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier using a voltage-controlled attenuator. The gain tilts in the L-band of 1570-1605 nm due to a temperature change have negative slopes, whereas they have positive slopes for the increasing optical input powers in a saturation region. The proposed method utilizes these opposite gain variations to compensate for the gain tilt over a wide range of temperature. While applying forty channels with a channel spacing of 100 GHz in the L-band and changing the ambient temperature from 0 to $50^{\circ}C$, the compensation method maintained the gain deviation within 1 dB.
This paper describes the performance of a Ku-band 5-bit monolithic phase shifter with metal semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) switches and the implementation of a ceramic packaged phase shifter for phase array antennas. Using compensation resistors reduced the insertion loss variation of the phase shifter. Measurement of the 5-bit phase shifter with a monolithic microwave integrated circuit demonstrated a phase error of less than $7.5{\circ}$ root-mean-square (RMS) and an insertion loss variation of less than 0.9 dB RMS for 13 to 15 GHz. For all 32 states of the developed 5-bit phase shifter, the insertion losses were $8.2{\pm}1.4$dB, the input return losses were higher than 7.7 dB, and the output return losses were higher than 6.8 dB for 13 to 15 GHz. The chip size of the 5- bit monolithic phase shifter with a digital circuit for controlling all five bits was 2.35 mm ${\times}$1.65 mm. The packaged phase shifter demonstrated a phase error of less than $11.3{\circ}$ RMS, measured insertion losses of 12.2 ${\pm}$2.2 dB, and an insertion loss variation of 1.0 dB RMS for 13 to 15 GHz. For all 32 states, the input return losses were higher than 5.0 dB and the output return losses were higher than 6.2 dB for 13 to 15 GHz. The size of the packaged phase shifter was 7.20 mm${\times}$ 6.20 mm.

The lumped element isolators with temperature compensation magnetic circuits were designed in this paper. Isolators for mobile repeater at each band of K-PCS, GSM1900, W-CDMA, WiBro were fabricated by using optimum parameters of EM simulation, Form the results of this study, first of all, insertion loss at K-PCS band was below 0.2 dB and return loss was over 25dB. The bandwidth in isolation 23dB was found 30 MHz. Secondly, the figures of both losses at GSM1900 were 0.25dB and 23dB, respectively. The measured bandwidth in isolation 30dB was 60MHz. Thirdly, the losses at W-CDMA band were 0.15dB and 25dB. The bandwidth in isolation 24.8dB was found 60Mhz. Finally, the figures of both losses at Wibro band were 0.25dB and 23dB, respectively. The measured bandwidth in isolation 22.1dB was 100Mhz. In addition, the results of measured IMD were shown from 76.4dBc to 80.1dBc.

In this paper, The method to improve the mass production method of the radar sensor is suggested by using the temperature compensation circuit which is composed with the thermister. The mass production became easier by decreasing the adjustment time for the exact oscillation frequency with the temperature compensation circuit that can support the proper gate bias voltage for the FET after the dielectric resonator is removed from the DRO(Dielectric Resonator Oscillator) of the radar sensor. Radar sensor with the proposed method has 15.67MHz oscillator frequency variation in the temperature range of $-20^{\circ}C-+55^{\circ}C$, 0.65dB magnitude variation, -105.47dBc phase noise characteristics at 1MHz which are better or similar temperature characteristics with the DRO whose oscillator frequency variation is 25MHz, magnitude variation is 0.42dB and phase noise is -107.40dBc in the same temperature range.

A simulation of 10 Gbps optical fiber transmission system using DCf(dispersion compensating fiber) for the dispersion compensation is performed. In order to analyze the NRZ pulse propagation in nonlinear, dispersive and lossy fiber, the split-step finite element method that is combination of finite element method and finite difference method is used. Also, we obtained the optical eye diagram and BER characteristics at the receiver of the system that is contained the optical amplifier and system noises. As a result of simulation, we obtain that the dispersion penalty is about 0.8dB after 50km transmission and the receiver sensitivities at $10^{-9}$ BER are -27.4dBm with EDFA pre-amplifier of 12dB gain and -15.6dBm without EDFA.

In this paper, a temperature compensation circuit is presented in order to mitigate gain variability due to temperature in the W-band low-noise amplifier (LNA). The proposed cascode temperature compensation bias circuit automatically controls gate bias voltages of the common-source LNA in order to suppress variations of small-signal gain. The designed circuit was realized in a 100-nm GaAs pHEMT process. The simulated voltage gain of W-band LNA including the proposed bias circuit is >20 dB with gain variability less than ±0.8 dB in the range of temperatures between -35 to 71℃. We expect that the proposed circuit contributes to millimeter-wave receivers for stable performances in radar applications.
