In order to apply a static fault-tree (FT) method to a system or a plant whose configuration changes dynamically, condition gates and a post processing method are used to effectively accommodate these changes. An operator's performance change, which can be caused by these configuration changes, should also be considered to assess the risk to a plant in a more realistic manner. This study aims to develop an integrated framework to accommodate various configuration changes and their effect on an operator’s performance by using the FT model. We applied a condition-based human reliability assessment (CBHRA) method to consider various conditions endured by an operator. That is, we integrated the CBHRA method with the conventional post processing method for modeling the system configuration changes. The effect of the condition monitoring systems installed in a plant is also considered. In this study, we show an example application of the integrated framework to a probabilistic safety assessment for the shutdown phase of a nuclear power plant.

Recently the need for cooperative control among robots is increasing in a variety of industrial robot applications. Such a control framework enhances the efficiency of the real robotic assembly environment along with extending the robot application. In this paper, an ethernet-based cooperative control framework was proposed. The cooperative control of robots can multiply the handling capacity of robot system, and make it possible to implement jigless cooperation, due to realization of trajectory-synchronized movement between a master robot and slave robots. Coordinate transformation was used to relate among robots in a common coordinate. An optimized ethernet protocol of HiNet was developed to maximize the speed of communication and to minimize the error of synchronous movement. The proposed algorithm and optimization of network protocol was tested in several class of robots.

New computing paradigm in ubiquitous computing environments is revolutionizing the way people interact with computers, services and the surrounding physical spaces. In order to provide stronger authentication, MIST proposed an authentication framework for ubiquitous computing environments and assigned confidence values to some authentication methods to facility the combining. However, the assigned confidence values lack sufficient evidence. In this paper reliable confidence values for each authentication method used in MIST is proposed. These confidence values can combine multiple confidence values in some manner, producing a more accurate net confidence value. Authentication entities with confidence values allows the authentication framework to blond nicely into ubiquitous computing environments.

An early detection system for warranty issues periodically collects customers' claim data and automatically reports alarms about emerging issues based on statistical algorithms. It helps companies to reduce an issue definition time and save the handling cost of warranty claims. This paper provides an evaluation framework to validate the economic effect of an early detection system project. For this purpose, we present economical index of a project with explicit formulas such as ROI(return on investment), PP(payback period), NPV(net present value), PI(profitability index) and IRR(internal rate of return) and analyze the sensitivities of the index according to the variation of project input parameters. The proposed analysis framework is expected to be used for evaluating economic values of various system integration projects.

To enhance the credibility of human reliability analysis, various kinds of data have been recently collected and analyzed. Although it is obvious that the quality of data is critical, the practices or considerations for securing data quality have not been sufficiently discussed. In this work, based on the experience of the recent human reliability data extraction projects, which produced more than fifty thousand data-points, we derive a number of issues to be considered for generating meaningful data. As a result, thirteen considerations are presented here as pertaining to the four different data extraction activities: preparation, collection, analysis, and application. Although the lessons were acquired from a single kind of data collection framework, it is believed that these results will guide researchers to consider important issues in the process of extracting data.

A hot-issued research topic in the workflow intelligence arena is the emerging topic of "workflow-supported organizational social networks." These specialized social networks have been proposed to primarily represent the process-driven work-sharing and work-collaborating relationships among the workflow-performers fulfilling a series of workflow-related operations in a workflow-supported organization. We can discover those organizational social networks, and visualize its analysis results as organizational knowledge. In this paper, we are particularly interested in how to visualize the degrees of closeness centralities among workflow-performers by proposing a graphical representation schema based on the Graph Markup Language, which is named to ccWSSN-GraphML. Additionally, we expatiate on the functional expansion of the closeness centralization formulas so as for the visualization framework to handle a group of workflow procedures (or a workflow package) with organizational workflow-performers.

본 연구에서는 국립지리원에서 20여년간(1975-1994) 관측한 정밀 1차 측지망 자료를 연도(작업구역)별, 블록별로 조정하여 전산처리에 필요한 데이타 Set로 구축하고, 전국 동시망 조정을 실시하여 우리 나라 측지망의 정확도 평가 및 오차전파 상태, 국토의 수평지각변동을 파악하였다. 이를 토대로 우리 나라 최초의 동질성 있는 정밀 1차 기준점(1, 2등 삼각점)의 실용성과 (기준점 좌표 94)를 산정 제시하였다.

This research aims at investigating the relationships among such variables as internet use, social-ethics, info-ethics, and the needs for info-ethic educational program. Another purpose of this study is to develop the framework for the cyber ethic educational program. For accomplishing the purpose, a survey questionnaire had been administered to 522 respondents online and of nine. The major statistical methods for data analysis were frequencey and t-test. The results of this analysis were as fellows： 1. Such variables as sex, the awareness of social law-ethics and social general ethics increased the awareness of info-ethics. 2. Variables that influenced the needs for info-ethic educational program were internet skills, social general ethics, and net info-ethics. The implications of these findings were discussed. Finally, the cyber ethic educational program was developed by the researcher band on the results of this study.

A gamma camera system using radionuclide has a functional imaging technique and is frequently used in the field of nuclear medicine. In the gamma camera, it is extremely important to improve the image quality to ensure accurate detection of diseases. In this study, we designed a blind-deconvolution framework after a noise-reduction algorithm based on a non-local mean, which has been shown to outperform conventional methodologies with regard to the gamma camera system. For this purpose, we performed a simulation using the Monte Carlo method and conducted an experiment. The image performance was evaluated by visual assessment and according to the intensity profile, and a quantitative evaluation using a normalized noise-power spectrum was performed on the acquired image and the blind-deconvolution image after noise reduction. The result indicates an improvement in image performance for gamma camera images when our proposed algorithm is used.

본 논문에서는 Windows Phone 기반의 모바일 게임 Wings를 설계하고 구현한다. 이 게임은 랜덤하게 다양한 비행체 캐릭터가 적기로 출현하도록 구현하고, 플레이어는 터치한 방향으로 이동하면서 미사일을 오토샷으로 발사하도록 구현한다. 적기를 파괴하여 획득한 점수는 격리된 저장소 영역을 이용하여 Windows phone내에 생성하여 저장하도록 구현한다. 이 게임은 C# 언어를 사용하여 구현하였기 때문에 메모리 누수 및 생산성에 대한 부담을 덜 수 있다. Wings 게임은 Windows 용 앱 스토어인 마켓플레이스에 등록하여 다운로드 가능하게 할 것이다.
