In the recent field of education, they open career-related curriculums either as formal curricular programs or extracurricular programs as highlighting value of career education. However, this lecture-based career education has failed to attract students' interest, and results are not satisfactory either. Since then, in order to design entertaining career education, the field has developed diverse tools and as a vocational aptitude testing tool for career development, methods that would use vocational cards were introduced. Today, schools from elementary school to middle and high schools frequently make use of the cards to conduct the vocational aptitude test and yet, as this web-based learning and smartphones are distributed, changes in the testing tool are being intensely demanded. This study aims to create and implement an application to help the vocational cards-using vocational aptitude test targeting students in elementary, middle and high schools to be actually conducted in a mobile platform.
This study investigates the effect of cloze procedure using either cartoons or texts on academic interests and reading achievements. Three equivalent classes were selected from an 1st grade in elementary school in terms of academic interests and reading achievements. While two experimental conditions used cloze procedure either with cartoons or texts during 15 lessons, the control condition used a traditional reading procedure. The results indicated that cloze procedure with cartoons enhanced academic interests in reading only for low achievement participants. Cloze procedure condition also outperformed the control condition on both immediate and delayed dictation test. In particular, cloze procedure with cartoons were quite effective for low achievement participants. Lastly, both types of cloze procedure facilitated overall comprehension test score, specifically inferential understanding test score but not factual understanding test score. Based on these findings, the types of text and learning strategy to improve academic interests and reading-related achievements were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to categorize learning style groups and to analyze students' learning interest and self-regulated learning abilities, according to their learning style and giftedness. One hundred and twenty-three (123) science-gifted student and 296 regular students participated in this study, responding to learning style, self-regulated learning, and learning interest questionnaires. Data were analyzed, using 2-stage cluster analysis, $x^2$ test, two way-MANOVA test, and $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test. The results are as follows: First, by 2-stage cluster analysis, four groups were categorized: 'high-score thinking style,' 'external-liberal,' 'executive-conservative,' and 'low-score thinking style.' In the gifted group, high-score thinking style (51.2%) was the most popular, then executive-conservative (30.2%), external-liberal (17.1%), and low-score thinking style (1.6%); in the regular student group, the executive-conservative group was the biggest, then high-score thinking style (20.6%), external-liberal (11.6%), and then the low-score thinking style (8.7%). Second, in terms of learning interest, the analysis by thinking style showed that the high-score thinking style group had higher learning interest compared to the executive-conservative and the low-thinking style group. The high-thinking style group's thoughtful interest also scored the highest compared with the others. The gifted students' thoughtful interest and investigative interest also were higher than regular students '. Third, in terms of the self-regulated learning, the analysis by thinking style showed that the high-score thinking style group showed higher scores on all sub-variances than other groups, especially having highest control-belief scores. Also, gifted students had higher scores on control-belief and searching information. Based on these results, the ways for effective education and support were discussed.

He purpose of this study is to design and apply a pilot assessment tools for scientifically gifted and talented elementary school students with lower grades. The assessment tool consists of three parts: homeroom teachers' recommendation, paper and pencil test and performance tests. The tools are verified whether they are suitable for unique characteristics of young children and enable to attract active participation. For suitability check, students' performance tests were inductively analyzed and 30 behavioral patterns were shown which were included and partially exceeded the level of lower elementary students' performance expectation in NGSS. As a result, we concluded that assessment tool developed in this study will be effective in discriminating young pupils' scientific talents. Then for participation check, we compared the number of coding references as an indicator of participation. Two cases were found that students with high interest participated passively in performance tests. We found these 'passive participants' had excessive scientific experiences and extremely narrow region of interest, during the process of complex interpretation between the results of this assessment tool and in-depth interviews with homeroom teachers. We found out in this study that newly developed tools can be used in school scene after modifying and elaboration through accumulation of more case studies.

We investigated elementary students' conceptions of the simple electric circuit using a battery, a bulb and a wire, and made comparison between the cognitive conflict through peer discussion and the cognitive conflict through physical experience. Two hundred and sixty-four sixth grade students who already had learned about the electric circuit were participated. The questionnaire to investigate the student's conceptions about simple electric circuit consisted of 5 items drawing the wire connections between a battery and a bulb to light the bulb. The students in the discussion group paired randomly with student who had different conceptions, and then each pairs discussed about their ideas freely with each other. After discussion they conducted CCLT(Cognitive Conflict Level Test) which consisted of 4 factors; recognition, interest, anxiety, reappraisal. The physical experience group conducted a task in which they connected a battery and a bulb with a wire, then conducted CCLT. The sixth graders had various misconceptions. Most students were not aware of the scope of negative battery terminal and two electric terminals of a bulb. Many students emphasized the tip of a bulb and positive battery terminal. The score of CCLT in the discussion group was higher than in the physical experience group. This results showed that discussion with peers was more effective than physical experience to arouse cognitive conflict.
Purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of creative science writing for interest of biology and scientific attitude on high school student. Creative science writing is a learning method to enhance comprehension and expression of thinking of science contents related to daily life. 148 students were recruited and divided into two groups, experimental group were experience creative science writing lessons. On the other hand, contrary group were applied interest enhancement lessons excepted creative science writing activity. To investigate the effect of creative science writing, interest check of biology was used, and scientific attitude test was used to understand changes in student's scientific attitude. Experimental group had taught using creative science writing and their awareness of the instruction was analyzed with questionnaire. As a result of this study, the class based on creative science writing was effective in improving high school students' interest in biology and in particular it was helpful in promoting interest in biology and learning of biology. It suggested that the class based on creative scientific writing used a new teaching method unlike existing methods, caused them to have interest in the instruction by making them express their daily life freely not to memorize learning contents, applied learning contents to daily life through many kinds of writings and then enhanced their interest in biology. Indeed, the class based on creative science writing had the positive influence on changes in the scientific attitude of high school students. Since creative science writing is writing one's own idea through extensive thinking based on learning contents, it was effective in arranging the process of thinking and changing their scientific attitude into positive one. Consequently, it was concluded from the above results of the research that the teaching using creative science writing was available as the effective teaching methods to improve high school students' interest in biology and change their scientific attitude into positive one.

This study intends to classify the users by the MBTI personality type and investigate and analyze information resources and services of library preferred by personality type. Towards this end, we have surveyed the K University students on their personality types and preferred resources and services, and also attempted to explore the possibility of providing customized information services of university libraries according to the MBTI personality type based on the results. As a result of the study, it turned out that there was a significant difference in the preference of digital contents type in the analysis of the data type preference and the quadrant type through the analysis of attitude index type from validating the difference between data / information source and service preference according to the MBTI type. The analysis of 16 types of personality also demonstrated a significant difference in the perception of digital contents. Accordingly, In order to provide services for data and digital contents suitable for personality types in university libraries, it should be preceded by collecting MBTI personality type data for users in the library. After that, when a user requests a reference information service from a library, or requests a book or information, it is necessary to provide a form-specific service or provide a content-specific service.
