휴대인터넷(WiBro: Wireless Broadband)은 언제 어디서나 고속으로 무선 인터넷 접속이 가능한 서비스를 위한 기술이다. 노트북을 비롯한 휴대가 간편한 PDA, 스마트폰으로 사람이 보행 또는 차량 주행 중에서도 끊김 없이(seamless) 무선 인터넷 서비스가 가능하다. 이동성과 고속 무선 통신이 가능한 서비스에서 중요한 기술 요소 중 하나가 보안이다. 본 논문은 안전한 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 WiBro 무선 네트워크에서의 USIM 기반 EAP-AKA 인증 프로토콜 보안 요구사항 안전성을 정형기법 툴인 AVISPA를 이용하여 명세 및 검증해 본다.

Request about fast diffusion of internet and high-capacity multimedia service is increasing day after day. Because existent wireless LAN is short range, if subscriber is far away in base station transceiver system(Base Station), subscriber's quality of service becomes low, and wileless internet is expensive. Lately, WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) system that is developed in domestic by world first, is high-speed portable internet service that is situated in middle area of mobile phone and wireless LAN. In this paper, service traffic model and characteristics are analyzed to provide multimedia service based on IEEE 802.16 BWA accomplishes base of WiBro and simulation is conducted according to various traffic mixing ratio. Finally, on the basis of these simulation results, maximum allowable number of subscriber per cell is calculated.

Recently, Portable Internet being standardized provides fast movement with wider service range than wireless LAN does. If Portable Internet service starts, many people will use Portable Internet and thus wireless traffic is going to increase. In Portable Internet, it is important to reduce handover latency to provide user with satisfactory service when handover occurs. In IEEE 802.16e, MSS sends its own security context information to one Base Station which it will move to reduce handover latency. But this is not suitable in the situation that the BS doesn't know the security context. To reduce handover latency of proactive caching method that is to send security context information to adjacency Base Stations in advance has been proposed by[4]. In this paper we propose effective traffic management algorithm to reduce signaling network traffic caused by proactive caching method.

It is necessary to research on wireless position determination technology that enables location based services on Portable Internet. In this paper, I consider the position determination technology based on TDOA belong to trilateration method. That is using the difference of relative distance between base stations and terminal due to the time difference of arrival of downlink signal. In order to design the positioning server, This paper reviews the related research on current status of wireless position determination technology based on TDOA on Portable Internet. And then, it is suggested that system architecture, network interface, the calculation model for position determination, which are adapted to circumstance of portable Internet. Through this research on the positioning server, it is expected to guarantee that low cost and high efficiency of wireless positioning server on Portable Internet will be developed.

개성이 강한 젊은 층들의 욕구가 점점 다양해지면서 올해 말까지 휴대폰 내수 시장에 신제품만 100종 이상 쏟아지는 등 업체들간 경쟁이 치열할 것으로 예상된다. 업계에 따르면 삼성전자와 LG전자 팬택&큐리텔 등 휴대폰 업체들은 올해 말까지 3차원 입체영상 휴대폰 캠코더폰, 스마트폰, 1백만 화소 카메라폰 등 신제품을 대거 출시할 계획이다. 이에 따라 새로운 기능을 제공하는 단말기들에 맞는 이색 모바일 서비스들도 '속속' 등장하고 있다. 국내 휴대폰 시장의 동향과 새롭게 등장한 무선 인터넷 서비스들을 살펴봤다.

WAP을 기반으로 한 무선 인터넷 컨텐츠 서비스는 무선 인터넷 마크업 언어인 WML(Wireless Markup Language)을 사용하여 실현하게 된다. 휴대폰 사용자들은 무선 인터넷 서비스를 통하여 WML로 작성된 컨벤츠를 휴대폰을 통해 볼 수 있는 것이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 무선인터넷의 효율적인 컨텐츠 서비스를 위 하여 기존 웹 페이지를 표현하기 위한 HTML(Hypertext Markup Language)을 WML로 변환하기 위해 개발된 기존 제품들에 대한 비교분석을 통하여 효과적인 필터링 기능을 수행하는 시스템을 제안하였다.

Nowadays, the demand of HPI(High-speed Portable Internet) has been gradually increased to support the various services of high speed wire line internet such as xDS. HPI can support high speed internet in anyplace, anytime. For successful development of HPI, the performance should be evaluated according to the cell size and/or the number of users and cell design should be carried out based on these criteria. The previous cellular systems using CDMA technique focus on the establishment of link based on power control but HPI systems consider the QoS (Quality of Service) and its performance based on the scheduling technique. The results from the system level simulation show that the throughput is sensitive to the cell size and the number of users has little impact on it. Moreover, the variation of service delay is more sensitive to the number of users but less to the cell size.

휴대 인터넷은 이동 중에도 무선으로 고속의 데이터 송수신이 가능한 통신 서비스로서 우리나라에서는 WiBro(Wireless Broadband)라고 명명되어 2006년 6월 상용 서비스를 시작하였다. 한국 정보 통신 기술협회(TTA)와 IEEE802.16e 표준에서 제시된 휴대인터넷 서비스는 기본적으로 기지국과 단말을 기반으로 한 CDMA통신 시스템과 유사한 셀룰러 망 구조를 가지고 있다. 와이브로에서 모든 RAS(Radio Access Station)는 매 5msec마다 프레임을 전송하고, 이 프레임의 앞 단에는 Preamble이 위치하고 있어 기지국과 단말의 Synchronization을 가능케 해준다. 각 RAS는 서로 다른 Preamble을 사용하므로 단말은 Preamble detection을 통해 기지국을 구분할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 휴대인터넷을 이용한 무선측위의 해상도 및 가청성을 현장실험을 통하여 분석한다. 현재 상용화 되어 사용중인Wibro 신호를 기저대역으로 낮추고 이 신호를 디지타이저를 사용하여 20MHz의 샘플링 주파수로 수집한다. 5msec 주기의 Wibro프레임 중에서 Preamble을 Correlation detection 기법을 사용하여 기지국과 단말 사이의 relative delay를 측정하여 기지국들과 단말 사이의 거리의 차를 구한다. 거리측정치를 이용하여 Wibro 망에서의 무선측위 추정치를 구하고 해상도와 정확도 및 가청성 등의 Wibro의 측위성능을 분석한다.
