Efficiency Improvement of Switched Reluctance Generator According to Current Shape in the High Speed Region (고속영역에서 전류형상에 따른 스위치드 릴럭턴스 발전기의 효율 개선)

  • This paper describes about the efficiency improvement of switched reluctance generator (SRG) over the rated speed region. Since the current shape has a great influence on the loss of the machine, so the system efficiency can be improved by optimizing the current shape. In case the wide speed range application such as wind power and medium size hydraulic power generation, a method of switching angle control is suggested to obtain the wanted current shapes. In order to verify the method, the experimental platform is set up. The feasibility of the theory is verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • u-City 도시통합운영 플랫폼은 u-City 내 교통, 건물, 시설물 등의 첨단화된 기반 시설을 전반적으로 관리하고 체계적으로 통제 가능하도록 한다. 그러나, 도시통합운영 플랫폼에 인가되는 부하는 도시 전반에 분산된 센서와 같은 정보원의 규모뿐 아니라 그 정보의 복잡성에도 의존할 수 밖에 없어, 효율적인 도시운영을 위해서는 플랫폼의 성능확보 방안이 고려되어야 한다. 일반적인 성능개선의 방법으로는 이미 발생한 부하의 효율적 처리를 통한 개선과 더불어 부하원의 근본적 통제와 같은 우회적 방법이 사용될 수 있다. 본 고에서는 네트워크 구조 개선을 통한 부하분산 방법과 더불어 플랫폼의 주 부하원인 센서 네트워크와의 연동방식 개선이라는 두 가지 측면에서 u-City 도시통합운영 플랫폼의 성능개선 방향을 고찰한다.

Improvement of Broadband Feedforward Amplifier Using Photonic Bandgap (PBG를 이용한 광대역 전방급전 전력증폭기의 성능개선에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 IMT-2000 대역에서 전방급전 전력증폭기의 선형성을 개선하여 효율과 대역폭을 극대화 하기 위해 Photonic Bandgap(PBG), 전치왜곡, 2차고조파 튜닝 방식으 f동시에 주 증폭기에 적용하였다. 2차 하모닉 성분이 2차고조파 튜닝 방식에 의해 우수하게 제거되고, 3차 하모닉 성분이 전치왜곡 방식에 의해 제거되며 출력단위 PBG느 s고아대역 특성으로 4차 하모닉 이상까지 제거하는 우수한 특성을 보여주었다. 총체적으로 기존의 전방급전 전력증폭기보다 IMD가 최고 15dBc, 효율은 4%, 대역폭은 2배이상 확대됨으로 전력효율과 대역폭을 극대화시킬 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 표준 셀 배치기 Mongrel을 소개하고 두 가지 분할 기법(FM, hMETIS)을 통해 효율적인 초기 배치를 얻음으로써 Mongrel의 성능을 개선한다. Mongrel은 middle-down 방법론을 채택한 전역 배치와 상세 배치의 2단계 표준 셀 배치기이며 전역 배치 단계에서는 RBLS(Relaxation-Based Local Search)를, 그리고 상세 배치 단계에서는 최적 인터리빙(optimal interleaving) 기법을 통해 최적화 알고리즘을 수행한다. MCNC 벤치마크 회로를 이용한 실험을 통해 Mongrel의 성능을 평가하고 효율적인 초기배치가 최종 결과에 미치는 영향을 분석한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 능동형 정류기를 갖는 선박 직류 배전시스템을 위한 동기발전기 제어 방법을 제안한다. 자동자속 조정기의 자속 설정값을 부하에 따라 능동적으로 변화시켜 저부하에서의 발전기 효율을 개선한다. 실험을 통해 20 % 이하의 부하에서 최대 10%p의 효율 향상을 확인하였다.

  • Triple Active Bridge 컨버터의 경부하 조건에서의 효율 개선을 위해 브리지의 듀티와 위상을 동시에 변경하는 Dual Pulse Width Modulation(DPWM)기법을 적용하였다. 기존의 위상천이기법은 제어가 단순한 장점이 있으나 경부하 조건에서 효율이 급격히 감소하는 단점이 존재한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DPWM 방식을 통해 경부하 조건의 효율 개선을 위한 각 브리지 듀티, 위상각을 분석하였고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 이를 검증하였다.

  • Recently there has been huge efforts to improve performance in construction process by applying emerging techniques such as the Lean principle, Just-in-time concept and so on. However, little achievement as we expected has come out in reality due to the lack of strategy to set a definite goal of the execution and differences of personal viewpoints on construction productivity. Accordingly, it is the most important to promote the circumstances for the construction process improvement by quantifying the goals of respective unit activity groups. This research explores feasible solutions for the improvement of construction projects performance by combining the six-sigma principle for the generic administrative innovation based on the idea of construction process performance. For this purpose, mutual comparisons of various current approaches are performed in an attempt to establish the advantages in applying six-sigma idea and to provide its fundamental strategy. Furthermore, through a case study with the simulation of applying six-sigma to a unit activity group in construction process, this paper verifies that the overall performance improves as the degree of sigma level gets advanced.

A Study on Improvement of Linearity and Efficiency Compensation in a Doherty Power Amplifier (Doherty 전력증폭기의 선형성 개선과 효율 보상 방안에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a method which increases the linearity using an improvement mechanism of Doherty power amplifier and compensates the decrement of efficiency due to improvement of linearity. To verify the method, a 20W power amplifier is designed and implemented. Compared with 2-way Doherty power amplifier, the implemented 3-way Doherty power amplifier with class F shows improved linearity about 10dBc and efficiency about 1.5%. Also, efficiency characteristic has been improved about 3.5% compared with the 2-way Doherty power amplifier while maintaining linearity. This results show that the proposed 3-way Doherty power amplifier with class F is shown to be adequate for improvement of efficiency and linearity. It is expected that the proposed amplifier can be used for various wireless communication system amplifiers.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of improving the light-load efficiency of DC-DC buck converter using 4bit SAR-ADC (Successive Approximation ADC) for a LDO or a power transistor size selection technique. The proposed circuit selects power transistor sizes depending on load current so that improves the light-load efficiency of the DC-DC buck converter. For this, we select the power transistor size with a cross point of the switching loss and the conduction loss. Also, when the IC operates in standby mode or sleep mode, a LDO mode is selected for improving the efficiency. The proposed circuit selects power transistor sizes(X1, X2, X4, X8) with 4 bits and its efficiency is higher about the maximum of 25% at the light-load than that of a single transistor size. Input voltage and output voltage are 5V and 3.3V for maximum load currents of 500mA.

  • Currently, the maritime industry is focusing on developing technologies that promote autonomy and intelligence, such as smart ships, autonomous ships, and eco-friendly technologies, to enhance ship operational efficiency. Many countries are conducting research on different methods to ensure ship safety while increasing operational efficiency. This study aims to develop a real-time ship operational efficiency analysis model using data analysis methods to address the current limitations of the present technologies in the real-time evaluation of operational efficiency. The model selected ship operational efficiency factors and ship operational condition factors to compare the operational efficiency of the ship with present and classified factors to determine whether the present ship operational efficiency is appropriate. The study involved selecting a target ship, collecting data, preprocessing data, and developing classification models. The results of the research were obtained by determining the improved ship operational efficiency based on the ship operational condition factors to support ship operators.
