A Meta-Analysis of Librarians' Job Satisfaction Studies (사서의 직무만족도에 관한 메타분석 연구)

  • This study conducted meta-analysis of librarians' job satisfaction using the Hedges & Olkin's Effect Size Model. Sex and Marrage as group variables, and Total Satisfaction and 7 sub-variables(Work Itself, Salary, Promotion, Supervision, Working Conditions, Social Recognition, Self-actualization) as dependent variables were selected from 27 studies. The effect sizes between men and women were significantly different on Supervision, Working conditions, Promotion, and Social Recognition, of which first two were homogeneous. But the difference of Social Recognition was not significant in Random Effect Model. The effect sizes difference between married and unmarried were significant on Self Recognition, Salary, and Work Itself. However the difference of Work Itself was not significant in Random Effect Model. Study Year could not be a moderator.

Analysis of Crime Prevention Effects of CCTV Installation (CCTV 설치로 인한 도시공간 범죄예방효과 분석)

  • CCTV is widely used as a crime prevention method globally; however, there is insufficient evidence regarding its effectiveness. This study assesses the suitability of CCTV locations and their impact on crime prevention. First, to analyze the appropriateness of the location of CCTVs, we overlaid the locations of crimes and CCTV, and found that there are many cases where CCTV were placed where crime rarely occurred. Using various cases, we verified CCTV's crime prevention effectiveness. The WDQ was applied to comprehensively analyze the impact of CCTV surveillance area and surrounding areas to determine the crime prevention effect. As a result of the analysis, CCTV was found to be effective in preventing crime. In 53.09% of the cases, there was a diffusion effect of crime control benefits in the surrounding area, which was four times more than the cases with a transfer effect. Thus, strategically installing CCTV in appropriate locations enhances crime prevention effectiveness based on spatial analysis.

  • 경제정책(經濟政策) 변화(變化)의 효과(效果)를 실증분석(實證分析)할 때, 거시경제(巨視經濟) 변동(變動)에 관심이 있는 경우 거시계량모형(巨視計量模型)을 활용하고, 상대가격구조(相對價格構造) 변동(變動)에 대한 소비자(消費者) 및 생산자(生産者)의 반응에 관심이 있는 경우 일반균형연산모형(一般均衡演算模型)을 사용한다. 그런데 대체로 정책변수(政策變數)는 경제구조(經濟構造)(미시적(微視的) 효과(效果))와 경기순환(景氣循環)(거시적(巨視的) 효과(效果))에 동시적 영향을 주기 때문에, 위의 두 모형(模型) 중 어느 하나만으로는 미시행태와 거시현상을 연계 분석하거 어렵다. 본고(本稿)에서는 정책변수(政策變數)의 변화(變化)가 경제주체(經濟主體)의 개별적 최적화(最適化) 행태(行態)와 집합적(集合的) 행태(行態)에 미치는 영향을 동시에 파악하기 위해 이 두 모형(模型)을 결합한 미시(微視)-거시통합모형(巨視統合模型)을 개발하였다. 통합모형(統合模型)의 결과에 의하면, 일반균형모형(一般均衡模型)에 편입(編入)된 거시계량모형(巨視計量模型)과 동태화(動態化)된 일반균형연산모형(一般均衡演算模型)을 결합하여 단기(短期) 경기순환(景氣循環) 및 중장기(中長期)에 걸친 구조조정(構造調整) 문제(問題)를 동시에 분석 가능한 실증분석(實證分析) 도구(道具)를 개발할 수 있었다. 설제로 본고(本稿)에서는 정책대안효과(政策代案效果)의 정량적(定量的) 평가(評價)를 위하여 통합모형(統合模型)을 가상적인 석탄가격(石炭價格) 자율화(自律化)와 보조금(補助金) 지원제도(支援制度) 변화(變化)의 효과분석에 활용하여 보았다. 이러한 모의실험(模擬實驗)은 다른 정책효과분석(政策效果分析)에도 활용(活用)될 수 있을 것이다.

A Comparison Study on the Effect Size According to the Type of Fandom Activities : Based on Meta-analysis (팬덤활동의 유형에 따른 효과크기 비교 연구: 메타분석 기반)

  • The purpose of our study is to conduct a general·quantitative analysis of fandom activities and verify their organization types and effects. The results are as follows. With regard to the comparison of effect size, the variable related to the social and economic field showed the greatest effect size, which was followed by individual behavior and individual mentality. In terms of influential factors of fandom activities, the effect size of positive variables was intermediate level while the effect size of negative variables was low level. In addition, the effect size of fandom supporting idol groups was the greatest, which was followed by of fandoms supporting sports stars, and actors. In terms of the effect size with regard to the influence on fandom among the objects of study, the effect size of university students was the greatest, which was followed by the whole, adult, middle and high school student, and middle school student. Meanwhile, the result of the analysis according to the classification by country showed that China had the greatest effect size, and the US also showed quite a big effect size. On the other hand, South Korea showed a low level of effect size.

Effects of Capstone Design Education in Korea: A meta-analysis (국내 캡스톤 디자인 교육의 학습효과에 관한 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to comprehensively examine the effect of capstone design education on learning outcomes and propose directions for effective design and implementation of capstone design classes. For achieving this, a 21 studies meeting the standards among the academic journals and thesis published in Korea by September 2020 were selected, and based on 83 effect sizes, the meta analyses were carried out. The results of this study were as follows: First, the total effect size of capstone design education was 0.96, which is a large effect size. Second, the effect size was large in order of affective, cognitive, and social areas. Third, the effect size of vocational basic ability showed a large effect size while creativity showed a medium-sized one. Fourth, the effect size showed highest for design subject, the grade in the third or fourth, there was help from industrial corporation, theory and practice. Based on these results, this study proposed instructional design implications in order to increase the learning effects of capstone design in Korea.

연구개발 효과성에 대한 기업 속성 및 기술경영 전략의 영향 분석

  • 기업의 지속적 성장을 위해 기술혁신은 필수적이다. 그 동안 기술혁신 성과에 영향을 미치는 기업 속성을 파악하는 연구가 다양하게 진행되었는데, 기업의 전략적 관심사인 연구개발 효과성의 측면에서 분석한 연구는 많지 않다. 또한 데이터의 한계로 인해 기업의 기술경영 전략의 영향은 고려되지 못했다. 본 연구는 연구개발과 특허라는 투입-산출 관계의 연구개발 효과성에 대한 기업 속성 및 기술경영 전략의 영향을 계량적으로 분석했다. 통계청의 "기업활동실태 조사" 데이터를 이용해 국내 4,722개 연구개발 기업을 대상으로, '특허수/연구개발 투자'를 종속변수로 하는 토빗 회귀분석을 수행했다. 가설검정의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기업 규모, 다각화 등 기업 속성 뿐 아니라 기업은 전략적 제휴, e비즈니스시스템 도입 등 기술경영 전략을 통해 연구개발 효과성을 높일 수 있다. 둘째, 외국인자본비중이 높을수록 연구개발 효과성은 낮다 셋째, 연구개발 외주비중은 연구개발 효과성과 역U자형의 관계로, 연구개발 외주 비중이 31%인 수준에서 연구개발 효과성이 극대화된다. 본 연구는 기업 속성 뿐 아니라 기술경영 전략이 기업의 연구개발 효과성이라는 기술혁신의 성과에 중요함을 밝힘으로써 기업의 연구개발 전략에 대한 시사점을 제시했다.

Washland Constructions and Effectiveness Analysis of Flood Control using MD-FDA (다차원법을 이용한 천변저류지의 홍수조절 효과분석)

  • In recent, we have a growing interest in the washland construction for the satisfaction of flood mitigation and ecological function in the river. This study performed the flood mitigation analysis for washland construction plan in Topyoung-cheon basin in Changyeong-gun, Gyeongnam. Several cases were considered for the washland construction on Topyoung-cheon basin, and we analyzed flood stage, inundation and flood damage mitigation for each case. From the result of flood mitigation analysis, we found some significant results according to the combination of each washland case and form. Therefore, to maximize flood mitigation effect by flood mitigation analysis is more desirable than guarantee the maximum storage area in washland construction.

Effects of English Grammar Teaching in Korean Context: A Meta-analysis (메타분석을 통한 영어 교과에서의 문법 교육의 효과 분석)

  • This study aims to investigate the overall effects of teaching grammar in the Korean EFL classroom. A meta-analysis of 67 research findings in 30 articles was conducted to synthesize the results of these studies by calculating the mean effect sizes. This study reviewed and analyzed the previous studies in terms of subjects, treatment period, and types of grammar teaching. The results showed that teaching grammar in the classroom had beneficial effects on learners in general (d=.907). It was found to be more effective for middle school and university students than for elementary and high school students (Q=37.065, df=3, p=.000). There was no statistically significant difference in terms of treatment period and types of grammar teaching. Pedagogical implications and suggestions for Korean EFL learners are also discussed.

A Meta Analysis on Effects of Flipped Learning in Korea (국내 플립러닝의 학습효과에 관한 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the learning effect of domestic flipped learning in meta - analysis. We collected a total of 95 studies on flipped learning effectiveness published in Korea by 2017, of which 59 are dissertations and thesis and 36 are academic papers. The results were analyzed using CMA program. First, the learning effect of flipped learning was .58, which showed that the learning effect was higher than the lecture class. Second, the effect size of cognitive, affirmative, and interpersonal domains showed significant effects of flipped learning in all three domains. Third, the learning effect of flipped learning is influenced by the type of publishing, school type, core subject, when the type of publication are dissertation and thesis, when the type of school is high school. Based on the results, this study suggested implications for the design and implementation of flipped learning in Korea.

Effectiveness of Gifted Education in Non-cognitive Areas using Meta-analysis (비인지적 영역 영재교육 효과성에 관한 메타분석)

  • In this study, the meta-analysis technique was applied to investigate the effectiveness of gifted education in non-cognitive areas. Studies conducted during the years from 2002 to 2012 were searched and then the outcomes from the 18 studies were used for meta-analysis. The statistically positive effects were in the leadership programs (the combined effect size=1.226, p<.001), in the career programs (the combined effect size=1.103, p<.001), in the programs related to social skills (the combined effect size=1.684, p<.001), in the programs for gifted students who show underachievement (the combined effect size=1.486, p<.001), and in the bibliotherapy programs (the combined effect size=0.613, p<.001) for the gifted. Implications of the study were discussed in depth based on the results.
