  • 유연도법 기반의 공식화에서는 변위영역의 형상함수를 라그랑지언(Lagrangian)보간법에 의한 곡률로부터 횡방향 변위를 유도한다. 곡률변위보간법으로 유도한 매트릭스를 사용한 기하학적 비선형 해석방법과 강성도법을 기반으로 한 비선형 기존의 유한요소 해석 프로그램의 결과를 비교하여 적용이 가능함을 확인하였고, Spacone의 이론을 확장시켜 기하학적 비선형 거동을 예측할 수 있는 유연도법의 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 예제를 통하여 실제 문제에 대한 기하학적 비선형 해석을 수행하였다.

  • 고온 및 고압의 가혹한 방사선 분위기에서 사용되는 핵연료 피복관은 중성자 조사 및 수소화합물의 생성 등으로 인하여 기계적 성질이 저하된다. 따라서 조사된 핵연료 피복관의 손상기준 확립과 안전성 해석을 위해서는 연성 및 강도 등 기계적 특성을 정확히 이해하여야 할 필요가 있다. 핵연료 피복관의 종 및 횡 방향 인장특성 평가를 위하여 개발된 기존의 다양한 시험법들을 비교하고, 핫셀시험에 적합한 인장시험법을 개발하였다. 피복관의 종방향 인장시편은 튜브시편 또는 게이지부 내에서 균일한 변형률 분포를 얻도록 설계된 도그본 튜브시편(그림 1)을 사용한다. 피복관의 횡방향 인장시험에 사용되는 링시편(그림 2)은 게이지부 내에서 균일한 단축 원환변형율 분포 또는 평면변형율 조건을 나타내도록 설계한다. 연소 또는 조사된 피복관으로부터 시편을 제작하기 위해서는 핫셀 내에서 작업 이 가능한 방전가공기(그림 3)를 사용한다. 피복관의 종방향 인장시험용그립(grip)은 핀-부하형이며, 횡방향 인장시험의 경우는 시험 동안 시편의 곡률이 일정하게 유지 되도록 그립의 형상 및 치수를 결정한다(그림 4). 피복관의 종 및 횡방향 강도와 변형 등 기계적 특성을 평가하기 위한 응력-변형율 곡선은 시험기의 복합 강성(K)을 고려하여 결정한다. 이상과 같이 검토된 인장시험법은 피복관의 안전성 해석(safety analysis)과 관련 규정(regulatory)에서 사용되는 피복관 손상기준(fuel damage criteria)의 개선에 필수적인 자료를 제공한다.

A Numerical Study on the Strain Based Monitoring Method for Lateral Structural Response of Buildings using FBG Sensors (FBG를 이용한 변형률 기반 건물의 횡방향 구조반응 모니터링 기법에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • In this study, the strain based monitoring method to evaluate the lateral structural response of buildings is presented and an applicability of the proposed method is confirmed through the numerical study. It is assumed that the fiber Bragg grating(FBG) strain sensor is employed to measure the strain response of members due to the excellent properties such as multiplexing, and higher sampling frequency. These properties of FBG sensors is proper for buildings the a lot of sensors are required to monitor the reponses of those. FBG sensors measure the strain response of vertical members and are employed to calculate the curvatures of members using the measured strain responses. Then the lateral displacement, and lateral acceleration is evaluated based on the curvatures of vertical members. Additionally, these dynamic responses of buildings are used to evaluate the dynamic properties of buildings such as the natural frequencies and mode shapes using the frequency domain decomposition(FDD) method. Through the application of nine-story steel moment frame example structure, it is confirmed that the proposed method is appropriate to evaluate the lateral structural responses and dynamic properties of buildings.

Moment-Curvature Relationship of Structural Wells with Confined Boundary Element (단부 횡보강된 구조벽의 모멘트-곡률 관계)

  • For performance-based design using nonlinear static analysis, it is required to predict the inelastic behavior of structural members accurately. In the present study, a nonlinear numerical analysis was peformed to develop the method describing the moment-curvature relationship of structural wall with boundary confinement. Through the numerical analysis, variations of behavioral characteristics and failure mechanism with the arrangement of vertical reinforcement and the length of boundary confinement were studied. According to the analysis, the maximum moment-carrying capacity of structural walls with adequately confined boundary elements is developed at the moment the unconfined concrete reaches the ultimate compressive strain. Walls with flexural re-bars concentrated on the boundaries fails in a brittle manner. As vortical re-bars in the web increases, the brittle failure is prevented and a ductile failure occurs. Based on the findings, moment-curvature curves for walls with a variety of re-bar arrangement were developed. According to the proposed relationships, deformability of the structural walls wth boundary confinement increases as the compressive strength of the confined concrete increases compared to the applied compressive force.

Measurement of Lateral Prestress Force of UHPC Cross Beam using the Smart Tendon (스마트강연선을 이용한 UHPC 가로보의 횡방향 긴장력 계측)

  • 본 연구에서는 광섬유센서를 내장한 스마트강연선을 이용하여 초고성능콘트리트로 제작된 하이브리드 사장교 세그먼트의 횡방향 도입 긴장력을 계측하고 세그먼트 내부의 프리스트레스를 계측하여 즉시손실에 해당하는 정착장치 활동에 의한 손실과 마찰손실을 도로교설계기준(2005)의 설계 마찰손실과 비교하였다. 제작된 2개의 UHPC 사장교 세그먼트는 횡방향 길이 16.7m, 종방향 길이 1.75m, 높이 1.5m이며 각 시험체의 1/4, 1/2, 3/4지점에 긴장력을 계측하기 위해 3개의 FBG센서를 배치하였다. 긴장력은 유압잭을 이용하여 5개의 강연선에 동시에 순차적으로 도입되었으며, 단부에서 최대 도입 긴장력은 세그먼트 1은 734kN, 세그먼트 2는 639kN이었다. 도로교설계기준에 제시된 마찰계수의 중간값(파상마찰계수=0.00405, 곡률마찰계수=0.20)을 사용하여 FBG센서 위치에서 계산된 긴장력은 계측치와 5% 이내의 차이를 보였으며, 정착장치 활동에 의한 순간손실은 긴장단에서 최대 12.8%로 계측되었다. 이로부터 이 연구에서 제시하는 긴장력계측방법의 적용성을 입증할 수 있었으며, 향후 이 방법은 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 교량의 설계기준 마찰계수 개정을 위한 연구에 좋은 도구로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on Selected Transverse Bed Slope Models in Channel Bend (유로만곡부의 횡방향 하상경사 산정 모형에 관한 연구)

  • Transverse bed slope in bend is a subject of scientific investigation since it provides the necessary information for channel design and protection of hydraulic structures (bank, bridge, etc), and study of river morphology. In this paper, selected models were examined and compared for the value of prediction of the transverse bed slope in curved alluvial channels(project area), by using field data, and fitting model was proposed. All models that related the local transverse bed slope to mean flow characteristics were alike in the sense that they predicted the local transverse bed slope to be proportional to the ratio between depth and radius of curvature. The difference among the models was related with the factor of proportionality, K. Also, measured transverse bed slope was correlated to mean velocity, maximum depth, and density Froude number in channel bend. In this paper selected models were compared for the prediction of the transverse bed slope using Odgaard's experiment (obtained in Sacramento River bend), so Odgaard89 model was closely related with real transverse bed slope.

Modeling and Parametric Studies on Moment-Curvature Relation of a Reinforced Concrete Column Subject In Axial-toad and Bi-Axil Moment (축하중과 이축모멘트를 받는 철근콘크리트 기둥의 모멘트-곡률에 관한 모델링 및 변수고찰)

  • A analytical model is developed which can simulate a complete inelastic biaxial moment-curvature relations of a reinforced concrete column. The model can simulate sudden drop in moment capacity after peak moment and due to spalling of cover concrete. Parametric studies are performed examine the effects of constituent material properties as well as topological arrangement of reinforcements on moment-curvature relations and P-M interaction curve. It has been analytically observed that ductility of a reinforced concrete column is influenced mostly by magnitude of the axial load and spacings or the volume of lateral reinforcements. Compared to ACI P-M interaction curve, overall increase about 10% in square root of sum of squares of axial force and moment, and about 20% in peak load are observed for the columns reinforced according to ACI seismic design code.

  • In this study, 7 dof (Including warping) beam element was developed to estimate the effects of wagner effects and load height effects on the lateral buckling strength of mono-symmetric I beam. Finite element buckling analysis of mono-symmetric I-shaped girders subjected to transverse loading applied at different heights on the cross-section were conducted. Linear moment gradient were considered, too. In these cases, girders are subjected to both single-curvature and Reverse-curvature bending. An applicability of current LRFD C$\sub$b/ on the mono-symmetric I beam was studied from the finite element results. The problems of current LRFD C$\sub$b/ occurring from load height effects and reverse curvature bending in unbraced length when applied on the mono-symmetric I beam were studied. Solutions to these problems are also presented.

  • This paper proposes a vehicle to road tracking algorithm based on vision sensor by using EKF(Extended Kalman Filter). The lateral offset, heading angle, and curvature which are obtained from vehicle to road tracking might be used as inputs to steering controller of LKAS(Lane Keeping Assist System) or for the warning decision logic of LDWS(Lane Departure Warning System). To the end, in this paper, the yaw rate, steering angle, and vehicle speed as well as lane raw points together with considering of vehicle lateral dynamics are utilized to improve the exactness and convergence of the vehicle to road tracking. The proposed algorithm has been tested at a proving ground that consists of straight and curve sections and compared with GPS datum using DGPS-RTK equipment to show the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

Flow Characteristics for the Variation of Radius of Curvature in Open Channel Bends (만곡수로에서의 곡률반경 변화에 따른 흐름특성)

  • The flow characteristics varying with the rate of the radius of curvature to width (Rc/B) in open channel bends are investigated with a simplified numerical model, briefly. Secondary flow velocity and transverse bed slope are formulated from the equations of moment of momentum and force balance analysis, respectively. The conservation equations of mass and streamwise momentum are simplified by depth integration and its solution could be obtained form explicit finite difference method. Three sets of computer simulation are executed. The rates of Rc/B adopted in simulations are 2.7, 5.4, 8.1 , respectively. The terms analyzed in this paper are secondary flow velocity, streamwise velocity, the path of maximum streamwise velocity, deviation angle, and mass-shift velocity.
