A Study on Energy Efficiency of Battery Charge/Discharge System based on DC μ-Grid (DC μ-Grid 기반 배터리 충/방전 시스템의 에너지 효율에 관한 연구)

  • Formation process through charge/discharge operation is needed in manufacturing Li-ion battery. In the process battery is discharged by a load resistor of discharger. Here, energy losses happen. Therefore, in this paper, the efficient energy operation of battery is studied in the charge/discharge system based on DC ${\mu}-Grid$. A result of computer simulation shows that if in the charge/discharge system based on DC ${\mu}-Grid$, the number of discharge batteries in comparison with three charge battery sets exceeds 133%, voltage fluctuation that occurs while the grid voltage stabilizes, which makes the system fatal. Therefore, it was demonstrated that a remarkable energy saving effect could be achieved when the number of discharge battery set is maintained to be 133% in comparison with three charge battery sets.

  • The communication of each others is lack between planing, design, construction and maintenance in domestic construction industry. This problem makes the omission of information and the loss of cost. So, the introduction of BIM can be the solution about that. BIM manages all information generated during all life-cycle of a structure and consequently maximizes the efficiency of utilizing information. This is done through 3D information model associated with a three-dimensional(3D) parametric CAD. This study proposes the seismic analysis process of steel box bridge for structural design of bridge construction project based on BIM. The additional process is needed for the purpose that structural data is inherent in the property information of 3D information model. This process has 3D modeling progress done by using the information decided in design phase. The design document of seismic analysis can be derived with the proposed process to steel box bridge.

Fragility Contour Method for the Seismic Performance Assessment of Generic Structures (지진 취약성 등고선을 이용한 내진성능 평가 방법)

  • Extensive computer simulations to account for the randomness in the process of seismic demand estimation have been a serious obstacle to the adoption of probabilistic performance assessments for the decision of applying seismic intervention schemes. In this study, a method for rapid fragility assessments based on a response database and the fragility contour method are presented. By the comparison of response contours in different formats, it is shown that representing maximum responses in ductility demand is better for the investigation of the effect of structural parameter changes on seismic demands than representations in absolute values. The presented fragility contour enables designers to practically investigate the probabilistic performance level of every possible retrofit option in a convenient manner using visualized data sets. This example demonstrates the extreme efficiency of the proposed approach in performing fragility assessments and successful application to the seismic retrofit strategies based on limit state probabilities.

  • This study intends to propose a policy plan for the activation of the Busan Blockchain Regulation-Free Zone, which is selected by the government's comprehensive negative regulation policy. Unlike Europe and the United States, Korea is based on a positive regulation and aims at suppression, not activation. The Korean government proposed a transition to "comprehensive negative regulation" as a groundbreaking regulatory innovation policy to solve the problems of positive regulation. For this implementation plan, seven regulation-free zones were selected. Busan was selected as the Blockchain Regulation-Free Zone, and secured an opportunity to revitalize the stagnant regional economy based on the blockchain. This study is a policy study for the activation of the Busan Blockchain Regulation-Free Zone, and aimed to propose a method to create an industrial ecosystem with the discovery of a Busan-specific Blockchain service that can be commercialized in the Regulation-Free Zone.

  • Opening and regional economic integration are characteristic of global economic trends that have been made since the 1990s. Accordingly, all economic blocs of the world are largely reorganized into three poles, European Economic Bloc, American Economic Bloc and Northeast Asian Economic Block which are respectively led by EU, the United States and the rapidly emerging economic power, China. Considering this direction of global economy, the current status of Northeast Asia, China's unprecedentedly enormous port development project and Japan's introduction of an epoch-making port policy towards the restoration of its port competitiveness, Korea is urgently need to take its own initiatives and positive actions that can cope with the above situations. The purpose of this study is to propose ways of strategic cooperation for Korea-Japan joint development. For the purpose, this researcher provides the concept and preconditions of hub-port, investigates hub-port development strategies of rival companies in Northeast Asia and discusses the potential of the development of the Korea-Japan Strait Economic Zone which is located between Busan port and Japan's Honshu(Simonoseki port) and Kyushu(Kitakyushu port).

  • It may be reasonable to consider density per unit area over time rather than analyze traffic volume, which is simply the traffic volume per unit of time, in assessing the maritime traffic congestion of a certain area. This study contributes to the standardization of maritime traffic congestion assessment methods for the maritime traffic safety diagnosis institute while seeking a new method to minimize evaluation error due to converted traffic volume per ship tonnage level. To solve this problem, a method to evaluate maritime traffic congestion by comparing the area occupied by a vessel with the area of its route using vessel identification data from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) has been proposed. In this new model, it is possible to use actual data due to the development of information and communication technology, reducing conversion error while allowing for the evaluation of maritime traffic congestion by route.

  • Map is information media for human life. Recently, innovative map making technology has been developed and most updated various data are provided to map users. In consequence, use of maps is rapidly increasing in various applications. One of the examples is car navigation map because navigation maps provide reliable and necessary information with convenient way. Therefore, maps are to be changed to user-oriented from map making-oriented design. The main goal of spatial data infrastructure is to allow various users to access the real world information easily for decision making. However, most of the digital maps are focused on map making aspect such as providing up-to-date data, acquisition of accurate data with state-of-the-art technology, and addition of layers (For example, ortho-images and DEMs). If map data processing tools are to be provided with the digital maps, users could utilize maps for decision making without professional software or knowledge. Therefore, objective of this paper is to propose scheme of the digital map data processing service with application examples.

  • Game balance settings are crucial to game design. Game balancing must take into account a large amount of numerical values, configuration data, and the relationship between elements. Once released and served, a game - even for a balanced game - often requires calibration according to the game player's preference. To achieve sustainability, game balance needs adjustment while allowing for small changes. In fact, from the producers' standpoint, game balance issue is a critical success factor in game production. Therefore, they often invest much time and capital in game design. However, if such a costly game cannot provide players with an appropriate level of difficulty, the game is more likely to fail. On the contrary, if the game successfully identifies the game players' propensity and performs self-balancing to provide appropriate difficulty levels, this will significantly reduce the likelihood of game failure, while at the same time increasing the lifecycle of the game. Accordingly, if a novel technology for game balancing is developed using artificial intelligence (AI) that offers personalized, intelligent, and customized service to individual game players, it would bring significant changes to the game production system.

  • Standardization to information attribute of construction material is continuous demanded through the life cycle of a construction project, and the productivity elevation is derived of contribution effect in construction market. This study surveyed the means of acquisition and attribute of information to a staff in purchase, which are effected on the revitalization of information circulation to the construction material Proposed the standardization to information attribute of construction material that is based on improvement and application to the information attribute. And information attribute is classified with construction process through analysis on test list of quality certification. This study also suggested representative attribute of quality information, for the elevation of safety and quality in construction industry. Therefore, logicality of common information is based by analysis of mathematical statistics, systemicity of quality information is applied by MasterFormat(2004)
