The aim of this study is to present a practical teaching plan for liberal arts English classes that target foreign students. Foreign learners who do not have Korean language proficiency at the university level may struggle to understand the contents of liberal arts classes conducted by Korean language professors. In this study, six topics were selected (K-culture, Online game, Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, DC) and topic-centered participatory class activities using various media were developed. A questionnaire was conducted to analyze learners' attitudes toward and perceptions regarding topic-oriented classes. It showed that learners' satisfaction with topic-based classes was high (75%), and the reasons for this high level of satisfaction were the instructors' caring attitudes, the comfortable class atmosphere, and the fun learners had in class. Learners also reported high satisfaction with various participatory class activities (81.9%), citing the learning benefits, their increased interest and motivation, and the efficiency of participatory classes. As globalization continues to increase the number of foreign students in South Korea, the need to develop realistic class plans and various class activities that are suitable for them is becoming more and more urgent.

본 연구는 중학교 1학년 함수 학습을 위해 패턴 활동으로 구성된 함수 지도 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발한 프로그램을 적용한 실험 집단(85명)과 교과서를 적용한 비교 집단(85명)간의 함수 학습에서의 효과를 분석하였다. 함수 지도 프로그램은 학생들이 패턴 활동을 동해 함수적 사고를 기르며, 활동적으로 수업에 참여하여 수학에 대한 자신감과 실생활의 연계성을 가질 수 있도록 구성하였으며, 적용 결과, 수학 수준별 수업을 하는 상반에서는 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 중반에서는 유의미한 차이는 없었으나 수업 시간에 흥미가 매우 높았다는 긍정적 평가를 할 수 있다.

The purpose of the paper was to develop an observation measure for analyzing the teaching and learning activities in ubiquitous-based learning. To develop the measure, we reviewed the literature related to the measure and identified the valid observation domain and indicators. In the procedure, we did a pilot study for validating the measure and its indicators, and in the end, finalized it. The observation measure consists of: types of instruction, teaching and learning strategies, learning activities, use of technology, evaluation process, and wrap-up. In addition, we added the qualitative domain, which needs for monitoring and writing more specific teaching and learning activities in ubiquitous-based learning.

The purpose of this study is to develop a standardized learning model for a free-learning semester, and to provide a practical framework of its curriculum. This paper is a state-funded study to design an instructional model for the free-learning semester. Instructional models that have been implemented in the practical school were constructed through collecting opinions from school teachers. The instructional model for a free-learning semester in this current study is a modification of the existing learning model into the Learning (Meaningful reception learning)-Practice-Production stage. These are designed to reflect the UNESCO proposals that emphasize knowledge, skills, and character, respectively. It is not easy to construct the instructional model for the free-learning semester activities. A three-step strategy that encompasses the UNESCO proposals will be a useful framework for teachers to systematically design and implement free-learning semester teaching.

21세기 정보화 시대에는 알고 있는 지식의 대부분이 짧은 생성 주기를 가지게 되어, 다양한 변화의 시대가 될 것으로 예상하며 우리는 이것을 체험하고 있다. 열린수업에 대한 연구가 끝나기도 전에 수준별수업, 이번에는 멀티미디어 수업, 올해는 수행평가와 체험수업 등으로 다양한 변화를 권장받고 있다. 그리고 변화는 더욱 가속될 것이며, 또 다른 새로운 이름의 학습모형이 계속해서 나올 것이지만 그래도 일관된 방향성을 찾는다면, 가르친다는 것이 '지식의 전달'에 근거한 권위적인 모델로부터 '배움의 자극'을 제공하는 학생중심의 수업으로, 개별적인 학습활동과 더불어 소집단 공동학습활동을 중시하여, 발표${\cdot}$토의 활동과 관찰, 조사 등의 자기주도적인 학습능력과 협력 학습능력을 배양하는 쪽으로 바뀌어 가는 것이다. 다음의 예는 구서여자중학교 중심 MathPower 교과연구회에서 수행하고 있는 수학적 힘을 기르는 몇 가지 방법으로, 수학적 개념을 가르치는데 가장 적절한 예는 아닐 수도 있지만, ${\cdot}$ 학습수준을 고려한 교양으로서의 수학. ${\cdot}$ 협동적으로 사고하고 문제를 해결하는 의사소통 수단으로서의 수학. ${\cdot}$ 창의성과 인재에 중점을 둔 수학. 교육으로, 다양한 학습자료의 제작 및 활용으로 교실이 다른 사람과 협동적으로 사고하며, 수학적인 아이디어를 나누는 장소가 되어, 가슴이 따뜻하며, 재기발랄한 아이들이 IQ와 EQ, 그리고 창의력을 두루 맛볼 수 있었으면 하는 바램으로 정리한 것입니다.

대부분의 수학 수업이 알고리즘을 숙달시키고, 기계적으로 익힌 절차에 의해 정답을 맞추는 것에 중점을 두어 왔기 때문에, 학생들은 수학은 딱딱하고 어렵고 재미없는 과목이라는 인식을 많이 하고 있다. 그러나, 수학 수업에서 수학 교구의 조작 활동을 한다면 수학적인 흥미를 유발할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 추상과 형식적인 수학으로의 발달을 돕고 학생들이 활동적으로 수업에 참여할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 맥락에서 제 7차 교육과정의 '도형'영역에서는 조작 활동을 통한 자기 학습능력 개발에 중점을 두고 주위의 실제 생활에서 볼 수 있는 사물을 관찰하여 그 성질을 추상해 낼 수 있도록 구체적인 교구를 이용하는 조작 활동을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 관점에서 정규 수학 수업이 아닌 일선학교의 클럽 활동 시간을 이용하여 학생들이 수학 교구를 충분히 조작하고 활용할 시간을 제공하며, 학생들이 수학 교구의 조작 활동을 통한 클럽활동이 학생들의 수학적 성향 및 능력 수준에 따른 도형 학습능력에 어떠한 변화를 미치는 지를 사례를 중심으로 논의하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to develop practical arts' lesson plan for creativity and personality. In order to achieve the objectives of the study creativity and personality factor were derived on the basis of previous research and literature review and expert groups to develop lesson plan through the modification of the validity assessment. This study was conducted in three phases: preparation, development, and improvement. In the preparation phase, educational needs of teachers were developed and analyzed. And theme for activity was selected. In the development phase, activity were selected based on the contents of practical arts and presentation of educational objective, development of lesson plan. In the improvement phase, the lesson plan was completed through the modification of the validity assessment by expert group. The characteristics of the developed lesson plan were followings; First, Developed lesson were based on the contents of practical arts for creativity and personality Second, Developed lesson were designed for project method. Third, this developed lesson plan is made up of six parts 'Study cook', 'Cooking lunchbox for health', 'Cooking fusion food', 'Sowing and growing sprouts', 'Cooking with growing sprout', 'Food for life exhibition'. Forth, developed lesson plan can use practical arts class and creative activity class.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and confirm the effectiveness of two teacher-centered instruction methods in the context of linear functions: one with emphasis on mathematical thinking processes as an alternative to the more traditional method without such emphasis. The level of achievement of students under the teacher-centered instruction with explicit emphasis on mathematical thinking processes is consistently higher than that of students receiving the more traditional teacher-centered instruction. The alternative instruction method in the current study is expected to encourage and prompt students to better grasp and understand mathematical concepts, principles, as well as problem solving strategies. In contrast to other alternatives, the method offers the advantage of being readily incorporated into the actual teaching practices in the classroom, as the traditional frame of teacher-centered pedagogy familiar to teachers remains in tact.

LAI(Library Assited Instruction) distinguished from classroom instruction viewpoint of use of school libraries's material and collaborative with teacher librarian. Thus LAI must be emphasized student's information activities and teacher librarian's support activities. This study is supposed to LAI model (information presentation-guide type, information search-organization type. information analysis Interpretation type, information synthesis-representation type, information query-projects type, information query-discussion type) based on student's information activities. The student's information activities were derived from the model of information use process. The Model of proposed LAI is constructed the role of classroom teacher, teacher librarian, student and the process of LAI process.
