Performance Analysis of Mulitilayer Neural Net Claddifiers Using Simulated Pattern-Generating Processes (모의 패턴생성 프로세스를 이용한 다단신경망분류기의 성능분석)

  • We describe a random prcess model that prvides sets of patterms whth prcisely contrlolled within-class varia-bility and between-class distinctions.We used these pattems in a simulation study wity the back-propagation netwoek to chracterize its perfotmance as we varied the process-controlling parameters,the statistical differences between the processes,and the random noise on the patterns.Our results indicated that grneralized statistical difference between the processes genrating the patterns provided a good predictor of the difficulty of the clssi-fication problem. Also we analyzed the performance of the Bayes classifier whith the maximum-likeihood cri-terion and we compared the performance of the neural network to that of the Bayes classifier.We found that the performance of neural network was intermediate between that of the simulated and theoretical Bayes classifier.

  • This article deals with the problem of designing a robust algorithm for the motion control of robot manipulator whose nonlinear dynamics contain various uncertainties. To ensure high performance of control system, a model-based feedforward compensation with continuous robust control has been developed. The control structure based on the deterministic approach consists of two parts : the nominal control law is first introduced to stabilize the system without uncertainties, then a robust nonlinear control law is adopted to compensate for both the resulting errors(or structured uncertainties) and unstructured uncertainties. The uncertainties assumed in this study are bounded by polynomials in the Euclidean norms of system states with known bounding coefficients. The presented control scheme is relatively simple as well as computationally efficient. With a feasible class of desired trajectories, the proposed control law provides sufficient criteria which guarantee that all possible responses of the closed-loop system are uniformly ultimately bounded in the presence of uncertainties. Therefore, the control algorithm proposed is shown to be robust with respect to the involved uncertainties.

OWL 시스템 시험모델 개발

  • 한국천문연구원은 우주물체 전자광학 감시체계 기술개발 사업을 통해 자국위성의 추적감시를 위해 0.5m 광시야 감시관측소 국제 네트워크(OWL : Optical Wide-Field patroL)를 구축할 예정이다. OWL 시스템의 설계 검증을 위해 시험모델을 개발하였고, 연구소 내에 테스트베드에 설치하여 종합적인 테스트를 수행하고 있다. OWL 시험모델은 해외 설치모델과 동일하게 제작하였으며 돔을 제외한 모든 서브시스템을 국산화하였다. 유효구경 0.5m의 Richey-Cretian 형식의 광학계로 1.75도의 광시야를 구현하였고 영상보정을 위해 5개의 보정 렌즈를 사용하였다. 인공위성 추적을 위해 초당 10도 이상 기동이 가능한 alt-az 방식의 마운트를 개발하였다. 단일 노출에서 다수의 인공위성 궤적을 얻기 위해 chopper 제어 시스템을 도입하였고, chopper, 필터휠, de-rotator, CCD 카메라 등 4개의 부분품을 하나로 묶어 간결한 back-end를 구성하였다. 시스템의 안정성 향상과 유지보수의 용이성을 위해 망원경 및 관측소 제어 전용보드를 개발하였고, 전자동 무인관측을 위한 스케줄러 및 운영소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 시험모델을 이용하여 수 개월간 테스트을 수행하고, 관측결과 분석을 통하여 문제점을 수정보완한 후 OWL 시스템의 최종 설계안을 확정할 예정이다.

  • The existing underwater vehicle controller design is applied by linearizing the nonlinear dynamics model to a specific motion section. Since the linear controller has unstable control performance in a transient state, various studies have been conducted to overcome this problem. Recently, there have been studies to improve the control performance in the transient state by using reinforcement learning. Reinforcement learning can be largely divided into value-based reinforcement learning and policy-based reinforcement learning. In this paper, we propose the roll controller of underwater vehicle based on Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient(DDPG) that learns the control policy and can show stable control performance in various situations and environments. The performance of the proposed DDPG based roll controller was verified through simulation and compared with the existing PID and DQN with Normalized Advantage Functions based roll controllers.

  • The optimal control problem of linear Lumped Parameter Systems (LPS) and Distributed Parameter Systems (DPS) is studied by employing the technique of Walsh functions (WF). By the using the elegant operational properties of WF, a direct computational algorithm for evaluating the optimal control and trajectory of LPS and DPS is developed. Without the need of solving the traditional matrix Riccati equation, the WF approach in shown very simple in form and convenient for use of a computer. The approximation is in the sense of least squares employing WF as the basis and the results are in the piecewise constant and discrete form.

  • 2006년 5월 고품질 인터넷 전화(VoIP) 서비스에 사용할 수 있는 가변대역 광대역 음성 코덱 기술이 ITU-T SG16 회의에서 국제 표준으로 확정되었다. ITU-T에서 표준화된 G.729.1 코덱은 국내 IPR이 포함된 최초 음성 코덱 분야의 표준이다. 이 코덱은 인터넷 전화 서비스에서 가장 널리 사용되는 G.729를 기반으로 8-32kbps 범위 내에서 임베디드 형태로 비트열 계층을 쌓아가는 구조로 협대역 신호(300-3400Hz)부터 광대역 신호(50-7000Hz)를 압축, 복원한다. 이 기술은 기존의 인터넷 전화에서 사용하고 있는 코덱의 낮은 품질, 대역폭 확장, 품질 제어가 곤란한 단점을 개선하여 인터넷전화 서비스 시장을 활성화 할 것으로 기대된다.

  • For the performance upgrade of a supersonic jet fighter, the processor and FLCC(Flight Control Computer) Architecture were upgraded from a baseline FLCC. Prior to the hardware implementation phase, the exact CPU throughput estimation is necessary. For this purpose, an experimental method for new FLCC throughput estimation was introduced in this study. While baseline FLCC operating, the CPU address bus was collected with logic analyzer, and then decoded to get the exact access times to each memory-memory and the number of program Instruction branches. Based on these data, a throughput test in CPU demo-board of the new FLCC configuration was performed. From test results, the CPU-Memory architecture was design-changed before FLCC hardware implementation phase. To check the flight stability degradation due to power-interrupt problem due to CPU-Memory architecture change, the piloted HILS (Hardware-In-the Loop Simulator) test was conducted.

  • This paper provides a robust and non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller design algorithm for time-delayed systems with randomly occurring polytopic uncertainties and disturbances. First, we design time-delayed system considering randomly occurring uncertainties and disturbances. Next, The sufficient condition for the existence of robust and non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller is presented by LMI(linear matrix inequality) using Lyapunov stability analysis and $H_{\infty}$ performance measure. Since the obtained condition can be expressed as a PLMI(parameterized linear matrix inequality) by changes of variables and Schur complement, all solutions including controller gain, degrees of controller satisfying non-fragility, $H_{\infty}$ norm bound ${\gamma}$ can be calculated simultaneously. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the performance and the effectiveness of the proposed robust and non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller compared with the deterministic uncertainty model even though there exists randomly occurring uncertainties, disturbances and time delays.

Development of Auto Presentation System of Toolbook Using Object Auto Transition on Multimedia Authoring Tool (멀티미디어를 기반으로 하는 저작도구 툴북에서 객체 자동 변환을 이용한 자동 프리젠테이션 시스템 개발)

  • When we present some information, we can use application programs through multinedia-based authoring tools. Especially.many programers proposed to improve its intergration time and reduce programming speed and easy to use. However, multimedia based authoring tools have not all of programming methodolgies and do not supply special functions from user's request. Therefore, we have to apply effective functions through high-level programming languages.In this paper, we propose to use small appkication prograns through linking methods, So we reduce overhead from memory loading In authoring tools, we can use MCI(media control interface) call functions for playback audio files.we development ATS(Auto Transition System) for several functions-close MCI call audio files, get object status, page-to page trancition.We evidently show that an optimal configuration of presentation obtained by ATS algorithm.

FMS시뮬레이터를 이용한 투입우선순서의 결정

  • 제품에 대한 수요의 다양화에 대응하기 위해서, 다품종소량생산방식이 정착하고 있다. 다품종소량생산을 효율적으로 실현하는 현대의 전형적인 자동화생산시스템으로서, 유연생산시스템(Flexible Manufacturing System : 이하 FMS)이 급속히 보급되어, FMS의 효율적인 운영이 생산현장에 있어서 중요한 과제가 되고 있다. 다수의 품종이 동시에 병행해서 반복적으로 생산되는 실제의 FMS에서는, 품종의 생산에 필요한 일련의 작업의 종류에 대한 우선순서인 "투입우선순서(Dispatching Priority)"를 설정해서, 그것을 기반으로 시스템이 운영되는 것이 보통이다.본 연구에서는 투입우선순서로 제어되는 동일한 품종의 반복이 있는 FMS를 염두에 두고, 생산요건이 확정적인 상태에서 주어진 평가척도를 최적화하는 투입우선순서를 결정하는 문제로써, FMS의 투입우선순서 결정문제 (FMS dispatching priority problem)를 제기하여, 시뮬레이션을 통해서 그 해법을 논한다. 실재하는 많은 FMS에 있어서 투입우선순서를 단기간에 용이하게 정할 수 있는 우선규칙(dispatching rule)이 실용적으로 넓게 이용되고 있다. 종래로부터, ?샵(job shop)을 대상으로 하는 다수의 우선규칙이 제안, 평가되어 왔지만, 그것들은 각 품종이 서로 다른 종류의 일감인 것을 상정하고 있으며, 동일한 품종의 일감의 존재를 의식하고 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 재래형의 ?샵 환경에 있어서 그 유효성이 검증되어 있는 기존의 표준적인 우선규칙의 성능이, 동일한 품종의 반복이 있는 경우에도 잘 기능하는지 어떤지를 시뮬레이션을 통해 평가한 후에, 오더사이즈(order size)를 고려한 우선규칙을 제안하고, 납기지체의 평가척도에 관한 유효성을 명확히 하고 있다. 시뮬레이션 실험의 결과에서는, 우선규칙의 기본적인 결정요인이 성능에 미치는 영향을 통계적으로 분석하고 있다.로 분석하고 있다.
