On the Baroque in the Architecture of Frank O. Gehry-in relation to the baroque concept of Deleuze (프랭크 게리의 건축에 있어 바로크적인 것)

  • This study concentrates on a new idea that is formulated as a creative spatialization in contemporary architecture. Suggested from the classical baroque, this study tries to open the actual sense area of 'the baroque' by analysing the architectural ideas of wrenching and folding by Frank O. Gehry. The redefined 'new baroque' operates in the chain of the transformable and flexible images that must be recognized as 'the real' in the sense of 'the most empirical' and are vulnerable to dispersal. The typical instrument of Gehry's 'new baroque architecture' is the enclosing of the space and its folding. This idea meet the theoretical gravitation field of the philosophy of Deleuze, in which the reconstituted baroque conception means the tension between the folds, on expansion and contraction of which the variable space is dependent. Through the general principle of 'the new baroque', a free dispersal of power, to architect is offered the possibility, to make the real world intimate to the real life and to produce from there a vivid new space, and to enjoyer and viewer the possibility, to perceive the operating power in and around oneself.

The Nature and Perspective of Informatics Education (정보교육의 본질과 전망)

  • All learners have to improve problem-solving abilities based on the principles of Computer Science and Computational Concepts as well as enhance their information technology fluency for living in the 21st century. However, there are no clear answers for fundamental questions such as 'What is Computer Science?' or 'What is the nature of Informatics education?'. Informatics education is threatened by the terminological confusion and misleading external images of Computer Science or Informatics education. Therefore, in this study, we closely reviewed perspectives on the nature and necessity of Informatics education and suggested a perspective to improve Informatics education. First, we examined how the definition of Computer Science has changed and pointed out that the Computer Science curriculum has operated differently from country to country because of the different viewpoints about Computer Science. Moreover, we presented evidence to assert that Informatics education should be considered as an independent science subject that is for all students. Finally, we suggested essential elements to insist that Informatics is a discipline to improve computational thinking. Essential elements consisted of 'Representations', 'Processes', 'Machines', 'Relationships' and 'Construction'. We suggested that the concept of Informatics should be extended based on these five elements.

The Limits and Possibilities of Political-economy Paradigm in Korean Media Studies (한국 미디어 정치경제학의 한계와 가능성 탐색)

  • While dramatic shifts in the media environment underscore the emerging importance of structural approaches in media studies. political economists in Korea have failed to meet such demands. It is particularly noteworthy that their most serious weakness lies in economic theories. This paper aims to examine major problems in political economic approaches in Korea and suggest some research agenda and directions for the future. Above all, political economists need to scrutinize and elaborate both microscopic and macroscopic frameworks. On the microscopic level, they may learn tremendous implications from the "audience-commodity" thesis and recent debates on "information goods" among Korean economists. For the more macroscopic part, it is urgently needed to delve into mid-level issues that may illuminate specific ways the media capital operates: trends in the accumulation of capital, the influence of technological innovation, changes in the labor process, and the relations among production, circulation and consumption sectors.

  • Multi-level converter that is high-capacity electric power conversion system is used widely to electric motor drive system and FATCs(Flexible AC Transmission Systems). H-Bridge converter has been prevalently applied to shunt-type system because it can be easily expanded to the multi-level. In steady states, converter is normally operated in the range of 0.7∼0.8 of modulation Index. Even though zero vectors are not imposed to high modulation index, DC-Link voltage Is constant. It means that converter has another boost vector except for zero vectors among several vectors in 3-level converter. This paper has examined the principle of boost vector and investigated the difference between another boost vector and zero vectors in 3-level converter. In addition, this paper has analysed and compared the charging currents and the capacitor voltages of two topologies. The currents and voltages are related to reference voltage. Therefore, it proposed the calculation method for the voltage ripple and the charging current of each capacitor and compared various DC-Link voltage control methods through the simulation.

Coherent Understanding on Addition/Subtraction from the Viewpoint of Measuring (측정의 관점에서 본 덧.뺄셈의 통합적 이해)

  • Current school mathematics introduces addition/subtraction between natural numbers, fractions, decimal fractions, and square roots, step-by-step in order. It seems that, however, school mathematics focuses too much on learning the calculation method of addition/subtraction between each stages of numbers, to lead most of students to understand the coherent principle, lying in addition/subtraction algorithm between real numbers in all. This paper raises questions on this problematic approach of current school mathematics, in learning addition/subtraction. This paper intends to clarify the fact that, if we recognize addition/subtraction between numbers from the viewpoint of 'measuring' and 'common measure', as Dewey did when he argued that the psychological origin of the concept of number was measuring, then we could find some common principles of addition/subtraction operation, beyond the superficial differences among algorithms of addition/subtraction between each stages of numbers. At the end, this paper suggests the necessity of improving the methods of learning addition/subtraction in current school mathematics.

  • 2018년부터 한국천문학회 특별 사업단으로 교육, 홍보위원회에 해외교육지원단이 만들어졌다. 해외교육지원단은 지난 2년 동안 한국천문학회가 지원해오던 캄보디아 천문교육지원 활동을 확장하고 체계적인 운영을 목표로 만들어졌다. 먼저, 그동안의 활동에 대해 보고하고 좀 더 내실 있는 계획을 세우기 위해 천문학회 회원들의 의견과 조언을 듣고자 한다. 첫 번째 캄보디아 천문학 교육은 2016년 6월 13-24일(2주) 동안 수도 프롬펜에서 북서쪽, 차편으로 4시간 거리에 있는 뿌삿시 끄로압에서 이루어졌다. 초. 중등학생 50여명이 참여하여 망원경 조작 방법을 배우고, 종이 망원경과 카메라 만들기, 태양과 행성 관측, 축구공, 야구공, 풍선과 찰흙을 이용한 태양계 행성들 크기 비교, 별자리판 만들기와 천문학 여러 현상들에 대한 비디오 영상 보기와 같은 다양한 프로그램을 수행하였다. 두 번째 교육은 국립청소년우주센터와 캄보디아의 Xavier Jesuit School이 연계하여 2017년 4월 3-7일(5일) 동안 지역 중등과학교사 18명을 대상으로 천문교육을 진행하였다. 시간과 좌표, 간이 망원경 제작, 결상의 원리, 분광, 망원경의 조립과 분해 및 천체관측 등 천체관측과 관련된 내용을 위주로 교육을 진행하였다.

Real-Time Face Detection and Tracking Using the AdaBoost Algorithm (AdaBoost 알고리즘을 이용한 실시간 얼굴 검출 및 추적)

  • In this paper, we propose a real-lime face detection and tracking algorithm using AdaBoost(Adaptive Boosting) algorithm. The proposed algorithm consists of two levels such as the face detection and the face tracking. First, the face detection used the eight-wavelet feature models which ate very simple. Each feature model applied to variable size and position, and then create initial feature set. The intial feature set and the training images which were consisted of face images, non-face images used the AdaBoost algorithm. The basic principal of the AdaBoost algorithm is to create final strong classifier joining linearly weak classifiers. In the training of the AdaBoost algorithm, we propose SAT(Summed-Area Table) method. Face tracking becomes accomplished at real-time using the position information and the size information of detected face, and it is extended view region dynamically using the fan-Tilt camera. We are setting to move center of the detected face to center of the Image. The experiment results were amply satisfied with the computational efficiency and the detection rates. In real-time application using Pan-Tilt camera, the detecter runs at about 12 frames per second.

  • 최근의 극심한 기상이변으로 인하여 발생되는 유출량의 예측에 관한 사항은 치수 이수는 물론 방재의 측면에서도 역시 매우 중요한 관심사로 부각되고 있다. 강우-유출 관계는 유역의 수많은 시 공간적 변수들에 의해 영향을 받기 때문에 매우 복잡하여 예측하기 힘든 요소이며, 과거에는 추계학적 예측모형이나 확정론적 예측모형 혹은 경험적 모형 등을 사용하여 유출량을 예측하였으나 최근에는 인공신경망과 퍼지모형 그리고 유전자 알고리즘과 같은 인공지능기반의 모형들이 많이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 유출량을 예측하고자 할 때 학습자료 및 검정자료로써 사용되는 유출량은 수위-유량 관계곡선식으로부터 구하는 경우가 대부분으로 이는 이렇게 유도된 유출량의 경우 오차가 크기 때문에 그 신뢰성에 문제가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수위를 직접 예측함으로써 이러한 오차의 문제점을 극복 하고자 한다. Neuro-Fuzzy 모형은 과거자료의 입 출력 패턴에서 정보를 추출하여 지식으로 보유하고, 이를 근거로 새로운 상황에 대한 해답을 제시하도록 하는 인공지능분야의 학습기법으로 인간이 과거의 경험과 훈련으로 지식을 축적하듯이 시스템의 입 출력에 의하여 소속함수를 최적화함으로서 모형의 구조를 스스로 조직화한다. 따라서 수학적 알고리즘의 적용이 어려운 강우와 유출관계를 하천유역이라는 시스템에서 발생된 신호체계의 입 출력패턴으로 간주하고 인간의 사고과정을 근거로 추론과정을 거쳐 수문계의 예측에 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 유전자 알고리즘은 적자생존의 생물학 원리에 바탕을 둔 최적화 기법중의 하나로 자연계의 생명체 중 환경에 잘 적응한 개체가 좀 더 많은 자손을 남길 수 있다는 자연선택 과정과 유전자의 변화를 통해서 좋은 방향으로 발전해 나간다는 자연 진화의 과정인 자연계의 유전자 메커니즘에 바탕을 둔 탐색 알고리즘이다. 즉, 자연계의 유전과 진화 메커니즘을 공학적으로 모델화함으로써 잠재적인 해의 후보들을 모아 군집을 형성한 뒤 서로간의 교배 혹은 변이를 통해서 최적 해를 찾는 계산 모델이다. 이러한 유전자 알고리즘은 전역 샘플링을 중심으로 한 수법으로 해 공간상에서 유전자의 개수만큼 복수의 탐색점을 설정할 뿐만 아니라 교배와 돌연변이 등으로 좁아지는 탐색점 바깥의 영역으로 탐색을 확장할 수 있기 때문에 지역해에 빠질 위험성이 크게 줄어든다. 따라서 예측과 패턴인식에 강한 뉴로퍼지 모형의 해 탐색방법을 유전자 알고리즘을 사용한다면 보다 정확한 해를 찾는 것이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 선행우량 및 상류의 수위자료로부터 하류의 단시간 수위예측에 관해 연구하였으며, 이를 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 이용항여 소속함수를 최적화 시키는 형태의 Neuro-Fuzzy모형에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • This study performed an appreciative inquiry into models of instruction for the community learning. For this purpose, this study examined the principle of learning, instruction models for community learning, and appreciative inquiry. Next, draft appreciative inquiry models were built based on the principle of instruction models for the community learning. The previously designed appreciative inquiry models were revised and complemented through expert investigation by a focus group interview. This paper proposes a process of seven steps core learning activities. The seven steps were selecting a theme, interviewing for finding success story, analyzing an organization's success stories and deriving the core values, deriving future of the organization, sharing future of the organization, designing the ideal future of the organization consist of a practice, implement, and reflect. Because the proposed seven steps process is based on the literature and focus group interview, a follow-up study will be needed to verify the result.

  • public certification is some kind of electric ID which can prove the valid user, based on open KEY. usually it had been used in the field of government complaint, e-commerce, financial. but recently it expands the its use range through computerization of work process of diversity fields such as e-sports, property, medical industry. because of this reason, importance for user certificate process is gradually rose. The purpose of this paper is looking at the method for user certification of public certificates and draw a way for enforce the user certification process by Vulnerability Analysis. To draw the alternative we study the Authentication Principle and policy structure of public certification system by researching references, has drew the limitation for policy of certification. we provide the guideline to enforce the user certification through conclusion which has been drew from previous step.
