Wordnet Extension for IT terminology Using Web Search (웹 검색을 활용한 워드넷에서의 IT 전문 용어 확장)

  • In this paper, we designed a methodology to expand the WordNet. We added unknown terms like IT technical terms to the existing WordNet by using web search. The WordNet is an online taxonomy representing the relationships among terms, but it usually showed limitation to contain new technical terminologies. That's why we tried to expand the WordNet. Firstly, when we met unregistered terms in WordNet, we built a query of those terms for web search. Given a web search results, we tried to find out terms with a high-level relatedness with the unregistered terms. We used the Korean Morphological Analyzer to score the relatedness between terms and located the unregistered term as a hyponym of terms with high score of relatedness.

  • 본 연구는 질의어 확장 및 단기 이용자 모형 구축에 응용할 수 있는 하나의 기법으로서 이용자 질문구조의 전형을 통한 정보요구의 모형화를 실험을 통해 제시한다. 실험방법은 이용자의 질문을 시소러스를 통해 분석, 구조화 하고 그 질문구조에서 전형을 추출한 후 전형에 따라 요구하는 정보가 질문구조내에 일정하게 위치하는지를 알아보았다. 이러한 실험을 통해 6가지 질문구조 전형을 추출할 수 있었으며 질문구조의 전형을 이용한 정보요구 모형의 구축이 타당성이 있음을 입증하였고 지능형 정보검색 시스템에의 적용가능성을 논의하였다.

Towards Next Generation Multimedia Information Retrieval by Analyzing User-centered Image Access and Use (이용자 중심의 이미지 접근과 이용 분석을 통한 차세대 멀티미디어 검색 패러다임 요소에 관한 연구)

  • As information users seek multimedia with a wide variety of information needs, information environments for multimedia have been developed drastically. More specifically, as seeking multimedia with emotional access points has been popular, the needs for indexing in terms of abstract concepts including emotions have grown. This study aims to analyze the index terms extracted from Getty Image Bank. Five basic emotion terms, which are sadness, love, horror, happiness, anger, were used when collected the indexing terms. A total 22,675 index terms were used for this study. The data are three sets; entire emotion, positive emotion, and negative emotion. For these three data sets, co-word occurrence matrices were created and visualized in weighted network with PNNC clusters. The entire emotion network demonstrates three clusters and 20 sub-clusters. On the other hand, positive emotion network and negative emotion network show 10 clusters, respectively. The results point out three elements for next generation of multimedia retrieval: (1) the analysis on index terms for emotions shown in people on image, (2) the relationship between connotative term and denotative term and possibility for inferring connotative terms from denotative terms using the relationship, and (3) the significance of thesaurus on connotative term in order to expand related terms or synonyms for better access points.

  • This study is to develop a new automatic system for the Korean thesaurus browser by which we can automatically control all the processes of searching queries such as, representation, generation, extension and construction of searching strategy and feedback searching. The system in this study is programmed by Delphi 4.0(PASCAL) and consists of database system, automatic indexing, clustering technique, establishing and expressing thesaurus, and automatic information retrieval technique. The results proved by this system are as follows: 1)By using the new automatic thesaurus browser developed by the new algorithm, we can perform information retrieval, automatic indexing, clustering technique, establishing and expressing thesaurus, information retrieval technique, and retrieval feedback. Thus it turns out that even the beginner user can easily access special terms about the field of a specific subject. 2) The thesaurus browser in this paper has such merits as the easiness of establishing, the convenience of using, and the good results of information retrieval in terms of the rate of speed, degree, and regeneration. Thus, it t m out very pragmatic.

  • This paper construct two-level word similarity relation matrices about title and to scientific treatise. As guide keyword similarity relation matrices which is constructed to co-occurrence frequency base same time keeps recall rater by query expansion by tolerance relation, it is index structure to improve the precision rate by two-level contents base retrieval. Therefore, draw area knowledge through subject analysis and reasoned user's information request and area knowledge to fuzzy logic base. This research is research to improve vocabulary mismatch problem and information expression having essentially on query.

  • Digital Broadcasting serves a variety of broadcasting services for satisfying the requirement of customers. One of main factors for new broadcasting environment is interoperability between providers and consumers. For this interoperability, metadata standards are proposed for the digital broadcasting and TV-Anytime metadata is one of these standards. On the one hand, there are some researches for efficiently managing the broadcasting metadata on Set-Top Box. This paper proposes the metadata management system for efficiently managing the broadcasting metadata based on the STB which is low-cost and low-setting. Our system consists of a storage engine to store the metadata and an XQuery engine to search the stored metadata and uses special index for storing and searching. We expect that our system will keep the interoperability amongst a variety of applications for broadcasting because we adopts the XQuery for searching the metadata and the XQuery is a standard language for searching XML data.

XML Document Analysis based on Similarity (유사성 기반 XML 문서 분석 기법)

  • XML allows users to define elements using arbitrary words and organize them in a nested structure. These features of XML offer both challenges and opportunities in information retrieval and document management. In this paper, we propose a new methodology for computing similarity considering XML semantics - meanings of the elements and nested structures of XML documents. We generate extended-element vectors, using thesaurus, to normalize synonyms, compound words, and abbreviations and build similarity matrix using them. And then we compute similarity between XML elements. We also discover and minimize XML structure using automata(NFA(Nondeterministic Finite Automata) and DFA(Deterministic Finite automata). We compute similarity between XML structures using similarity matrix between elements and minimized XML structures. Our methodology considering XML semantics shows 100% accuracy in identifying the category of real documents from on-line bookstore.

Usability Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence Search Services Using the Naver App (인공지능 검색 서비스 활용에 따른 서비스 사용성 평가: 네이버 앱을 중심으로)

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the core technologies in terms of the business strategy among information technology companies. Both international and domestic major portal companies are launching AI search services. These AI search services utilize voice, images, and other unstructured data to provide different experiences from existing text-based search services. An unfamiliar experience is a factor that can hinder the usability of the service. Therefore, the usability testing of the AI search services is necessary. This study examines the usability of the AI search service on the Naver App 8.9.3 beta version by comparing it with the search services of the current Naver App and targets 30 people in their 20s and 30s, who have experience using Naver apps. The usability of Smart Lens, Smart Voice, Smart Around, and AiRS, which are the Naver App beta versions of their artificial intelligence search service, is evaluated and statistically significant usability changes are revealed. Smart Lens, Smart Voice, and Smart Around exhibited positive changes, whereas AiRS exhibited negative changes in terms of usability. This study evaluates the change in usability according to the application of the artificial intelligence search services and investigates the correlation between the evaluation factors. The obtained data are expected to be useful for the usability evaluation of services that use AI.

  • Hitel 과 같은 전자정보 시스템은 사용자가 원하는 정보를 체계적으로 얻을 수 있도록 하기 위하여 메뉴들을 적당히 계층적으로 구성하여 제공하고 있다. 그러나, 보통 이 메뉴들의 계층이 정확한 분류법에 기초하여 만들어지지 않았을 뿐 아니라 그 양도 엄청나게 방대하여, 이 메뉴 계층을 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 얻기가 쉽지 않다. 실험적으로 보통 Hitel을 자주 이용하는 사람들도 자신이 주로 이용하는 메뉴들의 구성만 이해하고 있을뿐, 사용하지 않는 부분의 메뉴들의 구성은 잘 알지 못하는 것이 일반적이었다. 따라서 Hitel을 자주 이용하는 사용자도 자신이 이용해 보지 않은 정보를 얻기 쉽지 않으며, 더더욱 초보자에게는 이 메뉴계층을 이용하여 원하는 정보를 얻기가 쉽지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 정보검색 기술을 이용하여 Hitel과 같은 전자정보 시스템에서 사용자가 쉽게 자신이 원하는 정보를 얻을 수 있는 보조 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 사용자가 메뉴계층을 이용하기 전에 간략한 자연어로 입력을 주면, 여기에 적합한 메뉴나 실제 정보를 검색해 낸다. 따라서 사용자는 이 메뉴정보를 이용하여 메뉴계층을 쉽게 따라갈 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 경우에 따라서는 원하는 실제 정보를 검색하기 때문에 메뉴계층을 탐색할 필요가 없다. 본 연구에서는 자연어 입력을 최장 일치 방법으로 의미있는 명사들을 추출하여 불리한 질의어로 만든 후, 명사들 사이의 관계가 표현된 시소러스를 이용하여 이 질의어를 확장시킨다. 다음에 이 질의어들을 메뉴들과 부분/정확부합을 통하여 관련된 메뉴들을 찾아낸 후, 이들의 계층과제를 고려하여 최종 메뉴들을 검색한다. 본 시스템은 현재 C언어로 만들어져 구동중이며, 정확한 실험은 아직 하지 않았지만 높은 검색율을 보이고 있다. industrialized, was improved by introducing pressure in cooling procedure for both carbon and iron thermistors.er>$CHCl_3$>Hexane층 순으로 높은 활성을 나타냈다. 5. 아질산염소거능은 끝순, 들깨잎, 콩나물이 우수하였고 그중 들깨잎이 저해율 72%로 가장 높았으며, 용매분획 중에는 BuOH과 water추출물의 활성이 가장 높았다. 6.   • Currently, there are many simple searches for local culture and tourism, but systematic information retrieval using ontology technology is weak. The keyword-based search, which is an existing search method, derives a search result that is different from a user's wanted intention. On the other hand, semantic search using ontology constructs shows the information related to the search term by creating a relation between words and words. Therefore, when tourists search for cultural and tourist attractions in the area, they provide information that includes meaning relevance in the search results. If the ontology provides information on the culture, sightseeing area, transportation, Can be more easily grasped. In this paper, we propose an ontology-based retrieval system based on culture and tourist sites utilizing public institutions database by using mobile application by extending search system which relied only on existing internal database to provide accurate and reliable information to users. This efficient structure of the ontology makes it possible to provide information suitable for the user quickly and accurately.
