Despite the early success story, the pan-industry diffusion of big data has been slow mostly due to lack of confidence of the value creation and privacy-related concerns. The problem leads us to the need to a stakeholder analysis on the adoption process of big data. The present study combines technology acceptance model, task-technology fit theory, and privacy calculus theory to integrate the positive and negative factors on the big data adoption. The empirical analysis was performed based on the survey from the current and potential big data users. Results revealed perceived usefulness, task-technology fit, and privacy concern are significant antecedents to the intention to use big data. Furthermore, there are significant differences in the perceptions of each constructs among groups divided by the types of big data use, with several exceptions. And the control effect was found in the magnitude of the relation between independent variables and dependent variable. The theoretical and politic implications of the analysis are discussed as to the promotion of big data industry.
Various factors affecting the teachability of Cs-137 in cement matrix have been investigated. Factors investigated include such as pressure curing, vibration curing, pressure leaching, the effect of the clay addition, ion-exchange resin(IRN-77) addition, and $CO_2$or air injection. Leaching experiments were conducted by the method recommended by IAEA. To analyze the experimental results, pore structure analysis of cement matrices was carried out by BET method. Cement matrices may not contact directly with underground water in real repository, since the surroundings of disposed drums are filled with backfill. Thus, the effect of backfill to the teachability has been investigated. The well-known diffusion theory was utilized to predict long term leach rate and cumulative fraction leached of Cs-137 or non-radioactive species.
This study classified the categorization process of convergence products as a rule-based and a similarity-based categorization process. And we examined that how the categorization process was determined according to information types(visual vs. visual + verbal) about the components of two prototypes before convergence and thinking styles(holistic vs. analytic). The result of this study showed: (1) The rule-based categorization process appeared more in case of visual information with verbal information than only visual information. (2) Analytic thinkers chose a rule-based categorization process more than holistic thinkers. These findings provide the theoretical and practical implications to comprehend the categorization process of convergence products and the judgement for consideration set from various convergence products.
We should set up a policy objective to obtain consumer engagement in smart grid and analyze the key influencing factors in smart grid consumer engagement in oder to deploy smart grid successfully. It is because the successful deployment of smart grid depends on whether the end users accept the smart grid products and services. So far, There have been few studies in Korea which focus on the smart grid consumer engagement. Therefore, we carried out an literature review in terms of smart grid consumer engagement and tried to suggest related policy implications. As a result, we identified key influencing factors such as monetary benefits, environment-friendly characteristics, cyber security and understanding of smart grid. Futhermore, we suggested policy implications related to customer education, linkage between smart grid policies and other environmental ones, cyber security enhancement, etc.

This study proposes a research framework for IT service management (ITSM) area based on theories on innovation and IT achievements in the area of MIS. Then, existing ITSM literature is reviewed based on the research framework, and implications for future ITSM research are suggested. Major findings are as follows: (1) domestic research efforts should be continued to contribute to the diffusion of ITSM in industry, (2) since a certain level of research results has been accumulated, explanatory research rather than exploratory and/or descriptive studies should be pursued in the future, (3) research on the performance of ITSM is lacking, (4) research utilizing more objective data (secondary data obtained from ITSM systems) is needed. ITSM is innovation that can contribute to the improvement of productivity and competitiveness of organizations through systematic management of IT. It is expected that the research framework and implications of this study can assist future research efforts and practical utilization of ITSM.
While the mobile application market is growing fast, the revenues of the majority apps are declining. Moreover, paid mobile application prices and purchases have been slow because of intensifying competition. However, the conventional studies focused only on the acceptance factor of mobile applications, so they cannot explain the phenomenon such as acceptance resistance for paid mobile applications. Therefore, our study tries to analyze the factors for the acceptance resistance of users for paid mobile applications. The research model in this paper, which is based on S-O-R model, verified through surveys how social influence and app characteristics affect user perception and how user perception affects to app resistance. The results of our study showed that paid mobile applications happened to be destroyed in front of the chasm because of the perceived loss. Consequently, the results implicate that the developers should lower the initial price and actively react to the negative reviews in order to lower the perceived loss. Moreover, the results verified that a sense of self-efficacy can lower application acceptance resistance by including personal properties to our research model as control variables.
Recently, the advent of World-Wide-Web(WWW) and the explosive popularity of the Internet gave birth to collaborative applications which were enabled by computers and networks as their primary media. The progress of 3D computer graphics enabled collaborative application with 3D virtual environments or distributed virtual environments. In this paper, we explain our implementation of the Share collaboration engine which is for collaboration applications based on a distributed virtual environment. We introduce Virtual Architectural Engineering 2000 (VAE2000) that is our pilot application implemented with the Share collaboration engine. The Share collaboration engine proposes a new Share network architecture for management of participants, and it provides some synchronization methods for 3D objects in virtual collaboration. VAE2000 is an experimental application that tries to prevent wastes of human, material and time resources in networked virtual collaboration.

Based on the development of SNS in Mobile and Internet, crisis management is regarded as an important issue that determines the rise and fall of businesses. This study aims to contribute to more efficient implementation of crisis management messages by examining the relationship between the strategy of crisis management communication and the level of specificity of the message. The study found that consumers evaluated the crisis-hit company's acceptance communication strategy to show a higher level of integrity, reliability and appropriateness than the defensive strategy. However, this main effect is mediated by the specificity (high specificity vs. low). Specifically, consumers' assessment of crisis management messages and information-seeking behavior were found to be most favorable when used in a mixture of acceptance strategies and high specificity. Conversely, the lowest effect was the combination of defense strategy and high specificity. Based on these results, the theoretical discussions is described for crisis management practitioners of enterprises and organizations.
In this study we have developed programs to enhance the scientific creativity by reviewing literature on the creativity and analyzing the theoretical models related to gifted education. The scientific creativity is regarded as the process of problem solving and problem finding, in particular, solving and finding the ill-defined but significant problems. In general, the important components of the scientific creativity are considered as the scientific knowledge, process skill, divergent/critical thinking, ill-defined problem, and problem finding. The program developed for the purpose of the study is composed of three stages based on Renzulli's model : general exploratory activities, group training activities and individual and small group investigations of real problems. The developed program in this study consists of 4 themes, 15 school hours in the earth science area. The process and products of the program development as well as the background of the present research are described and discussed in detail.
To understand the performance of the electrochemical device, the analysis of the mechanism of ionic conduction is important. However, due to the ionic interaction in the electrolyte and the complexity of the electrolyte structure, a clear analysis method of the ion conduction mechanism has not been proposed. Instead, a variety of mathematical models have been devised to explain the mechanism of ion conduction, and this review introduces the Arrhenius and Vogel-Tammann-Fulcher (VTF) model. In general, the above two mathematical models are used to describe the temperature dependence of the transport properties of electrolytes such as ionic conductivity, diffusion coefficient, and viscosity, and a suitable model can be determined through the linearity of the graph consisting of the logarithm of the moving property and the reciprocal of the temperature. Currently, many electrolyte studies are evaluating the suitability of the above two models for electrolytes by varying the composition and temperature range, and the ion conduction mechanism analysis and activation energy calculation are in progress. However, since there are no models that can accurately describe the transport properties of electrolytes, new models and improvement of existing models are needed.
