The composition of trace materials in domestic circulated LPG are determined. The sampling points are two cylinders of LPG cylinder re-inspection center, six vaporizer of LPG-supplying group facilities, and the compressed oil from one LPG station. In the trace materials from cylinder of LPG cylinder-reinspection center, alkene and diene derivative (No. of carbon ${\leq}9),$ aromatic compounds, and tarry chemicals(No. of carbon ${\geq}10)$ are 1.5~39.9%, 0.7%, 57.8~96.0%, respectively. While in the trace materials from LPG-supplying group facilities and in the oil from LPG station, tarry chemicals(No. of carbon>10) exceed 96.6%. Nine samples are classified into three clusters. One cluster is the sample of SE company cylinder-reinspection center(Euclidian distance between S company LPG cylinder-reinspection center and SE company cylinder-reinspection center=2.11), the other is the sample of SE company LPG cylinder-reinspection center(Euclidian distance between from samples of LPG-supplying group facilities including compressed oil from LPG station=0.110) the third is the samples of LPG-supplying group facilities(Euclidian distances among them<0.075). The compositions of samples from LPG-supplying group facilities are similar to those of oil from LPG station. Furthermore densities of samples from LPG-supplying group facilities and compressed oil in LPG station are 0.873, 0.873 [0.00798 (99% confidence limits) respectively. It was presumed that tarry chemicals had been leached from the compressed oil of LPG supplying facilities.
This study is aimed to design a membrane process that systematically removes contaminants including microplastics in sun-dried salt using a separation membrane. In this study, we selected the separation membrane material, pore size, and module suitable for the sun-dried salt fields, and proceeded with the experiments under the salt fields and laboratory conditions. A pilot plant was constructed and tested in our lab and in the actual saltern with the selected 200 kDa, 4 kDa ultrafiltration membranes, and 3 kDa nanofiltration membranes. Most of the impurities in the sea salt were 0.1 ㎛ in size, and more than 7 types of various microplastics were detected in the impurities. After that, as a result of checking the filtered water through the separation membrane process, no impurities were detected. As a result of comparing the existing sea salt component and the sea salt component prepared with separation membrane filtrate, impurities were effectively removed without change in the sea salt component.

In this study, the composition and physico-chemical characteristics of school waste which is located in B area, kyunggi-do was investigated. It is necessary to measure the characteristics of school waste to build the data-base for resource and recycling of waste. This school waste was composed of 12.25% of food wastes, 56.26% of papers, 9.26% of plastics&vinyls, 1.52% of textiles, 3.70% of wood, 0.11% of rubbers&leathers and others, respectively. Most of school wastes are mainly composed of paper and plastic waste and composition of combustible waste was about as 90%. From 3-components analysis, contents of moisture, combustible component, and ash was 5.72%, 88.29% and 5.98%, respectively. Moisture content was higher in Agricultural Dwelling school area compare to the urban dwelling school area. The chemical element of the school waste has the high order of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen on the dry basis of wastes and the low heating value of the MSW which is measured by calorimeter is shown as 3720.44kcal/kg.

Follicular fluid (FF) contains an oocyte maturation inhibitor with unknown chemical properties. This study was carried out to chemically define the factor(s) inhibiting cumulus cell denudation (CD) and first polar body formation (PBF). Porcine FF (PFF) was extracted with methanol and the extract was serially separated using gel filtration on Superose 12 and Superdex columns. A Superdex fraction was derived with PITC and analyzed with an amino acid analysis column. The results obtained are as follows; PFF had an activity inhibiting both CD and PBF of porcine primary oocytes. Superdex fractions RV2.11 prepared from PFF exhibited an activity inhibiting CD and PBF. By amino acid analysis, the fraction RV2.11 appeared to be proline having the same activity inhibiting CD and PBF. In conclusion, PFF had oocyte maturation inhibitors, of which proline should inhibit CD and PBF.
In order to estimate the chemical composition of Raspberry (IR Crataegifalius), the free amino acids were analyzed by amino acid autoanalyzer, and organic acids contents were determined by gas chromatography and the free sugars were detected by paper chromatography. The results obtained were as follows: 1) The free amino acids found in Raspberry were 18 kinds of them, especially, all essential amino acids were showed, and lysine was abundant among them, consequently it was found that the composition of amino acids in Raspberry is more superior than those of the other fruits. 2) The organic acids in Raspberry were found citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid and fumaric acid. It was found that the quantity of the organic acids was less than those of other common fruits. 3) Sugar such as glucose, fructose, maltose and mannose were detected by paper chromatography.

This study was conducted to explore the flow contamination in the $CH_4-O_2$ vitiated air heater. Non-equilibrium and equilibrium calculation were made of the flow processes in the heater and nozzle assuming the inviscid and one dimensional flow. The results were compared with the measurement data. The overall results of this study showed additional non-equilibrium calculation should be considered to assess the presence of NO, which species could yield the combustion delay or no reaction, as a contaminant.
The phase diagram of the Pt-Sb system was reinvestigated, using the conventional sealedcapsule technique. The identification of phases present in the reaction products was made by reflected light microscopy, X-ray diffraction and electron microprobe analysis. The existence of compounds, Pt5Sb, Pt3Sb, Pt3Sb2, PtSb and PtSb5 was confirmed. A new phase, Pt5Sb with a composition of 83at% Pt and tetragonal structure of the lattice parameters a=3.948(3), c=16.85(1)A, was found. The X-ray powder data of Ptsb may be indexable on a tetragonal cell with a=3.9455(7), c=16.959(5)A. PtSb is stoichiometric up to 800t and becomes Pt-deficient as much as lat% at 1000t. Solid solubility limits of Sb in Pt were determined to be 7.5,10.0 and 6.1at% at 1000˚,800˚ and 600˚ , respectively. The earlier reported Pts Sbf was not found in this study. The liquidus curve between the Ptsb2 and Sb phases was revised.
Soil microbial diversity was responsible for a strong effect on the chemical properties of orchard soils. This study evaluated a relationship between soil chemical properties and soil microbial diversities at 25 sites in orchard soils in Gyeongnam Province. The average nutrients in the orchard soils were 2.6 times for available phosphorous, 2.3 times for exchangeable potassium and 1.3 times for exchangeable calcium higher compared to recommend concentrations in the orchard soils. Contents of available phosphorous and organic matter in the inclined piedmont soils were higher than those in the other topographical soils (p<0.05). Populations of fungi and fluorescence Pseudomonas sp. in the silt loam soils were significantly higher than those in the sandy loam soils (p<0.05). In principal component analysis of chemical properties and microbial populations in the upland soils, our findings suggested that population of bacteria should be considered as potential factor responsible for the clear orchard soils differentiation. The soil organic matter was significantly negative correlation with population of bacteria whereas was positive correlation with population of fungi in orchard soils.
To verify allelopathic effects, seed germination and seedling growth test, chemical analysis and bioassay of selected species were carried out with naturally occurring chemicals of Artemisia capillaris. Seed germination ratio of Calamagrostis arundinacea. Youngia denticulata and Lactuca indica var. laciniata showed decrease in proportion to increase in aqueous extracts concentration of A. capillaris. while that of Cosmos bipinnatus and Leonurus sibiricus did not. However, dry weight growth of selected species treated with the same extracts as the above experiment was inhibited remarkably compared to the germination test. In the test at different concentrations of essential oil from A. capillaris, seedling growth of A. princeps var. orientalis and Plantago asiatica was suppressed according to the concentration of the essential oil, and root growth of the selected species was more inhibitory than that of shoot growth. Thirty-six chemical compounds were identified from A. capillaris plant by gas chromatography. Seven compounds out of 36 were bioassayed, and terpinen-4-ol was the most toxic among the tested substances.
