  • Printing process has been a major sector in the textile industries for a long period of time. With the advent of digital textile printing, the complex procedures of printing preparations and after-treatment processes have been streamlined. For the design of the motives of images to be printed, the use of image handling software, e.g. Photoshop(Adobe), has been of prime importance. Even though the software is extremely useful and functionally versatile, there are many laborious steps involved for the specific textile printing process. The use of a CAD-based textile printing function may help the textile printing process in streamlining the complex processing stages. The image qualities of the output designs have been compared objectively with the aid of several image similarity evaluation schemes including the SSIM, and FSIM Index methods.

  • This paper was suggested the detailed methods on the integration of Remote Sensing and GIS for various application of two functions at the one system with making the most use of respective merits rather than make use of independent systems. It developed of algorithm about simultaneous overlay of raster and vector data for remote sensing and GIS for these objects. For test application on integration of remote sensing and GIS, it used of remote sensing data of satellite and used to topographic map of the same area for vector data acquisition of GIS application. For the practical application, it proved of effective value of integration of raster and vector data by present of useful technique with multilateral approach method through data conversion about thematic application for major application fields of remote sensing and GIS and it suggested that new application technique for integrated application of remote sensing GIS through synthetic situation analysis.

Correction of Single Photon Emission CT Image Distorted by Collimator Characteristic (시준기의 특성으로 인한 SPECT 왜곡 화상의 보정)

  • SPECT technology is used for the reconstructed image in the field of industry noncontact measurement system. One of the distortion problems in reconstructed image quality is a collimator characterictic. The image distortion is caused by a geometrical structure of the collimator. This paper indicated a correction method to remove the image distortion by the structure of the collimator, and compared with the existing correction method. The correction. method removed the image distortion to use deconvolution of projection data with the shift-variant blurring function in the frequency domain. In this pater, I simulated with the collimator angle and distance between the detector and the center of object. and verified with expeimental data. The validity and limitation of correction method is studied for actual industrial applications.

  • Even though we basically regard spoken English like listening and speaking rather than written language as an important principle in Elementary Education of English, actually students are being taught English only by imitating what they heard and watched through audio or video tapes in the scene of elementary school. Of course, it is successful to learn English focused on a spoken language not in EFL(English as a foreign language) but in ESL(English as a second language) circumstance. Therefore, we provide products of multimedia contents in order to give opportunities which can make use of English in the classroom through the Web in this paper. In addition to it, we write this paper on method to strengthen motivation for learning language even out of the classroom by putting English to practical use through video conference system or E-mail exchange.

Study on Improvement of Convergence Rate of Acoustic Echo Canceller (음향 반향 제거기의 수렴속도 개선에 대한 연구)

  • An adaptive echo canceller is necessary for an application such as a speakerphone, 3G image telephony and VoIP service system. These echo cancellers need to have many taps for filtering echo signals. Many taps cause computation data to increase and convergence speed to be low. To overcome these problems, An adaptive echo canceller with the advanced convergence speed is proposed in this paper. To improve the speed, we divide an echo band into subbands and place a subband filter to be adaptive for each subband. Each subband filter recognizes the echo signal as subband echo signals. So, dynamic range of subband is small, the convergence speed is fast. Moreover, as the number of Tap and weight update are estimated in each subband, the implementation complex of a adaptive filter is low.

  • Maps are one of the most complicated types of drawings. Drawing recognition technology is not yet sophisticated enough for automated map reading To automatically extract a road map directly from more complicated topographical maps, a very complicated algorithm is needed, since the image generally involves such complicated patterns as symbols, characters, residential sections, rivers, railroads, etc. This paper describes a new feature extraction method based on the human optical neural field. We apply this method to extract complete set of road segments from topographical maps. The proposed method successfully extract road segments from various areas.

  • 본 논문에서는 국제 통신 표준화기구인 ITU-T에서 인터넷폰과 화상회의를 목적으로 채택된 G.723.1 음성 부호화 시스템을 TMS320C5409를 이용하여 전 과정을 어셈블리어로 실시간 구현하였다. 구현된 G.723.1 음성 부호화기는 6.3kbps 전송률일 때 인코더 25.75MIPS이고 디코더 1.99MIPS의 최대 복잡도를 나타내고, 5.3kbps 전송률일 때 인코더 17.69MIPS이고 디코더 1.9Ml PS의 최대 복잡도를 나타낸다. 사용된 메모리는 program ROM llkwords, data ROM(table) 9.45kwords, RAM 2.8kwords 정도이며, 실시간 처리된 출력음성은 C simulation결과와 같은 음질을 보였다. 구현된 G.723.1 음성 부호화기는 ITU-T에서 제공되는17개의 테스트 벡터를 모두bit-exact하게 통과하였다.

The Study of Dynamic Flow Control Method using RSST in Video Conference System (화상회의 시스템에서 RSTT를 이용한 동적 흐름제어 기법에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines dynamic flow control method in UDP, analyzes packet loss which is frequently used element in measuring existing dynamic flow control and characteristics of round trip time, and proposes a new method of measurement, RSST. The algorithm that uses the proposed RSST enables accurate measurement of network status by considering both the currently measured network status and the past history of network status in controlling the transmission rate. For comparison study, a network status measurement software program that displays detailed information about volume of transmission generation of network status, and flow pattern of network was developed. The performance test shows that the proposed algorithm can better adjust to network condition in terms of low pack loss rate over existing algorithms.

  • 동영상 정보는 압축율을 높이기 위해 서로 연관성이 깊고, 정확한 의미 전달을 위해 지연 민감한 데이터로 구성된다. 이와 같은 동영상 데이터를 다양한 대역폭 변화율, 전송중의 높은 패킷 손실율의 특성을 갖는 인터넷을 통해서 전송하기 위해서는 대역폭 적응적이고 에러강인성(Error Resilience)이 높은 시스템이 필요하다. ISO/IEC 의 MPEG-4 에서는 FGS(Fine Grannular scalability)를 표준으로 채택하여 이러한 문제점의 해결방안으로 삼고 있다. FGS 는 기존의 적응적 비디오 코딩의 개념을 적응적 비디오 컨텐츠로 바꾸면서 낮은 복잡도로 대역폭에 적응이 용이하여 다수의 다양한 망 사용자를 모두 만족시킬 수 있어 VoD 나 화상회의 등의 응용에 적합한 기술이라 할 수 있다. 또 인터넷에서 예측하기 어렵게 자주 발생하는 패킷 손실에 대한 오류전파(Error Propagation)가 없는 장점을 가지고 있다. 고용량의 영상 데이터를 다수의 사용자가 동시에 요구하게 되는 상황에서 네트워크 자원을 절약하는 멀티캐스트(Multicast)는 필수적이다. 그리고 비디오와 같은 정보는 그 중요도가 다른 데이터로 구성되므로 특정 상황에서 중요도에 따라 지능적인 처리를 필요로 하는데 차세대 망 기술로 연구되는 Active Network 를 고려 할 수 있다. 영상 정보를 효율적이고 안정적으로 활용하기 위한 이러한 신기술의 효율적인 적용방안을 제안하였다.

  • This paper describes a simple real-time monitoring system for use in measurement subsystem of contact wire and geometry of overhead contact wire in electric railway. The system has been consists of a high speed CMOS camera with resolution $1024\;{\times}\;1280$ pixels, line type laser source with a power equal to 300 mW, and PC-based image acquisition system with PCI Express slot. National instrument LabVIEW (8.0) and vision acquisition software have been used in application programming interface for image acquisition, display, and storage with a frequency of sampling of 500 acquisitions per second.
