Spray characteristics were investigated by impinging F-O-O-F type injector with varying the impingement angle through 15, 20 and 30 degree and the mixture ratio(O/F ratio) from 1.5 to 3.0. Experimental results show that the correlation between dispersion and impingement angle is not influenced of the mixture ratio variation, but which has influence on number density, and there is a linear correlation between dispersion and impingement angle. Velocity distribution, standard deviation and SMD of droplets are decreased as the impingement angle increases. Also, it was confirmed that the distribution of droplet size are in accordance with Rosin-Rammler and Upper-limit distribution.
Thipaper presents a methodology to suppress the vibration of thin rectangular plate clamped all edges using piezo-ceramic material as actuators and sensors. Dynamic characteristics of the structure bonded with distributed actuators/sensors are identified by the Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) frequency domain modeling technique based on the experimental data. Hybrid control scheme is adopted and feedback controller is designed by LQG(Linear Quadratic Gaussian). Feedforward controller is adapted by multiple filtered -$x$ LMS(least mean square) algorithm. Experiment result demonstrates the effective reduction of the vibration label for both the transient and persistent external disturbances.
In this study, a closed-form analysis has been developed for the transverse shear behavior of thin-walled composite beams with closed cross-sections. The shear flow distributions and cross-section stiffness coefficients are derived analytically by using a mixed beam approach. The theory has been applied to single-celled composite box-beams with elastic couplings. The location of the shear center and the effect of transverse shear deformation on the static behavior of composite beams are investigated in the framework of the analysis. The present results are validated against those of a two-dimensional finite element analysis and a good correlation has been obtained for box-beam cases considered in this study.

The objective of this study was to determine the growth characteristics of cool (C1) and warm season grasses (C2) in pastures mixed with C1 and C2 at an altitude of 400 m in Jeju island to establishing pasture suitable for grazing horses and to evaluate the effect of pastures mixed with tall and short type grasses on the intake characteristics of horses. C1 used in this study was Kentucky bluegrass, redtop (short type grass) and tall type grasses were orchardgrass and tall fescue, respectively. Treatments of this study were consisted of four groups and the short type grass used in pastures mixed with C1 and C2 was mainly bermudagrass. Four treatment groups were follow as; Treatment 1 (bermudagrass + Kentucky bluegrass + redtop) 2) Treatment 2 (bermudagrass + tall fescue + orchardgrass) 3) Treatment 3 (Kentucky bluegrass + redtop) 4) Treatment 4 (tall fescue + orchardgrass). Bermudagrass was a little winter killing and inhibition of plant growth at an altitude of 400 m. Plant heights in pastures mixed with C1 and C2 were grown better than that in pastures mixed with C1. Especially, plant height in Treatment 4 was higher than other treatments. Dry matter yield was in the following order: Treatment 4> Treatment 3> Treatment 2> Treatment 1. Dry matter yield in pastures mixed with C1 increased as compared with pastures mixed with C1 and C2. Dry matter yield in Treatment 3 was higher than other treatments. In the first investigation regarding vegetation distribution, bermudagrass ratios among grasses in Treatment 1 and Treatment 2 were 11.7 and 13.3%, respectively. The growth of bermudagrass in winter was low due to the cold damage. However the growth of Kentucky bluegrass, redtop, tall fescue and orchardgrass was good. In the second investigation, bermudagrass ratios among grasses in Treatment 1 and Treatment 2 were 5.0 and 11.7%, respectively. Growth of forage in the second investigation was poor as compared to the first investigation. nutritive values(crude protein content, neutral detergent fiber content, acid detergent fiber content, digestibility) were good in pastures mixed with C1 Especially, nutritive values in pastures mixed with tall was higher than those of pastures mixed short grasses. P content among minerals in Treatment 1 was higher than other groups. However, the content of Ca, Mg and Mn were lower. The contents of Ca, K, Mg, Na, Cu, Zn and Fe in Treatment 2 were higher. However, the contents of K, Mg, Na, Cu, Zn and Fe in Treatment 3 were lower. Therefore, we suggest that cool season grasses with short grasses were sowed to establishing pasture suitable for grazing horses at an altitude of 400 m in Jeju island.
The confluence of rivers, where rivers meet, is a place known for complex water mixing dynamics. Sometimes, these rivers flow downstream without mixing. While this non-mixing can pose challenges for water quality management, it also offers the potential for improved water extraction in nearby water intakes (Chilseo). In this study, we analyzed the mixing dynamics at the confluence of the Nakdong River and the Nam River using drone imagery, water quality indicators like Electrical Conductivity, and hydraulic factor Secondary Flow. We found that meandering effects hindered mixing, as shown by the comparison of Secondary Flow and Electrical Conductivity distributions. Additionally, the Chilseo Water Purification Plant downstream of the Nakdong River-Nam River confluence extracted unmixed Nam River water during certain periods.
This study was carried out to classify forest communities and to aggregate forest cover types for the complex and diversified natural forest areas of Hwangaksan, Bakseoksan, Deogyusan, and Jirisan in southern region of Baekdudaegan Mountains. The vegetation data were collected by point-centered quarter sampling method. Eight hundred fifty one sample points were subjected to cluster analysis to classify 18 forest communities, which were aggregated into 7 representative forest cover types on the basis of community similarity from composition of canopy species. They were mixed mesophytic forest cover type, the others deciduous forest cover type, Quercus variabilis-Quercus serrata cover type, Quercus mongolica cover type, Pinus densiflora cover type, Carpinus laxiflora cover type, and Abies koreana cover type. The Quercus mongolica cover type was most widely distributed in the study areas, and this cover type tended to occur in the place of higher altitude as latitude was getting lower. Mixed mesophytic forest and the others deciduous forest cover type were commonly distributed in the areas of valley, on the other hand, Quercus mongolica cover type and Pinus densiflora cover type tended to be distributed in the areas of ridge.

The effects of principal dimensions of internal mixing twin-fluid atomized and operating conditions on the atomizing characteristics are experimentally investigated. The tests are conducted over the wide range of air/liquid ratio to predict influences of the diameter and length of nozzle, contacting angle between air and liquid in the mixing chamber, and air orifice diameter on the mean drop size(SMD), spray angle, distribution of drop size, and spray dispersion, And also, initial distribution of liquid column by air stream within the mixing chamber are observed through the transparent nozzles. A He-Ne laser particle sizer(MALVERN Model 2604) was used to measure the Sauter.s mean diameter( $D_{321}$) and droplet sizes distribution. In this experiment the air/liquid ratio, mixing length and nozzle diameter have a great influence on SMD, spray angle, droplet sizes distribution and spray dispersion.

The combined convective heat transfer from vertical parallel plates with constant temperature has been studied by numerical method. The governing equations for the system are solved by the finite difference method and successive over relaxation scheme for Re$_{L}$ = 50 - 500, Gr = 10$^{4}$, Pr = 0.7. Results for various plate spacings and plate lengths are as follows ; For various plate spacings, the mean Nusselt number increases and then decreases as the dimensionless plate spacing increases. The optimum plate spacing for maximum mean Nusselt number decreases with increasing Reynolds number and can be expressed as a function of Reynolds number. For various plate lengths, the mean plate Nudest number increases as the dimensionless plate length decreases and Reynolds number increases.
Emotion recognition between human and human is done compositely using various features that are face, voice, gesture and etc. Among them, it is a face that emotion expression is revealed the most definitely. Human expresses and recognizes a emotion using complex and various features of the face. This paper proposes hybrid feature extraction for emotions recognition from facial expression. Hybrid feature extraction imitates emotion recognition system of human by combination of geometrical feature based extraction and color distributed histogram. That is, it can robustly perform emotion recognition by extracting many features of facial expression.
