MPEG-21 환경에서의 DI(Digital Item)은 MPEG-21 프레임워크 내에서 표준화된 표현 형식, 식별 체계, 서술 형식을 따르는 구조화된 디지털 객체이며, 유통, 처리의 최소 단위이다 따라서. 이러한 DI가 MPEG-21 멀티미디어 프레임워크 환경에서 사용자 터미널에 전달되었을 때 어떻게 처리되어야 될 것인지를 규정하는 것은 매우 중요한 과제이며. 이와 관련한 기술이 DIP(Digital Item Processing)이다. 본 논문에서는 DIP의 한 응용 예로서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 계층적으로 기술하는 Video Summary의 응용 방안에 대한 연구 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

Today, information technologies have been applied to operations in container terminals, and it is possible to collect operational log data due to development of equipment and operations technology. Terminal operators are collecting event log data and try to figure out the way of resolving operations problems. Operators want to analyze event logs to determine the causes of the operation problems, but it can hardly be done manually. In this paper, we suggest a formal framework to evaluate performance measures using the collected log data of operations in container terminals. The proposed formal framework supports different container terminal layout, operational processes, and equipment. Our formal framework is composed of specification of terminal layout, log data, workflow, statistics, and report, based on the concept of container handling objects. For validation of our framework, we have implemented a terminal performance analysis system based on the proposed framework.

We propose Framework that (should) have data interoperability between Legacy DataBases using Proxy DataBases based on XMDR(eXtended Meta-Data Registry) Data Hub in this papers. It may occur some problems among data structure, semantics and other heterogeneous problems between interoperability of legacy DB on cooperation environment. Also, It is hard to keep consistency of Data that changes on realtime, regardless of data variety and type. In this paper, Using XMDR data hub, we solve the problem that was occurred by data integration and interoperability between legacy DB. We suggest the framework which are compatible with any class and type of interoperability-data and offer accurate information with consistency in real-time using proxy database.

This paper proposes for practical engineers a lightweight modeling and simulation environment for continuous system models specified in ordinary differential equations, which are time-domain specification of such systems. We propose a block-oriented specification formalism that has two levels: one for atomic behavior and the other the structure of models. Also we provide with a simulation framework, called BlockSim++, which make models specified in the block-oriented formalism be easily translated in object-oriented program that runs with the proposed simulation framework. The proposed formalism and framework has advantage of reuse such that it can be easily integrated into application programs and heterogeneous simulators. We illustrates the usefulness of the proposed framework by a simple hybrid modeling simulation example.

Simulation Framework is a basic software tool used to develop simulation applications. This paper describes the development of a discrete event simulation framework based on DEVS(Discrete EVent System Specification) formalism, using MATLAB language which is widely used in technical computing and engineering disciplines. The newly developed framework utilizing MATLAB object oriented programming combines the convenience of MATLAB language and the sophisticated architecture of the DEVS formalism. Hence, it supports the productivity, flexibility, extensibility that are required for the simulation application software development of the weapon systems engagement. Moreover, it promises a simulation application the increased the computation speed proportional to the number of CPU of a multi-core processor, providing the batch simulation functionality based on MATLAB parallel computing technology.

본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 조합의 반자동화를 위한 피드백 기반의 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이 프레임워크에서는 웹 서비스를 조합해 서비스 프로세스를 생성할 때마다 프로세스상의 서비스들의 연결 패턴이 벡터형식으로 분석되어 저장된다. 또한 이 프레임워크에서 서비스들간의 결합도를 구하는 방법이 고안되었다. 이 방법을 이용해 좀더 밀접하게 결합되었던 웹 서비스를 추천할 수 있고 이를 통해 웹 서비스 조합을 반자동화 할 수 있다. 서비스 도메인 안에서 특정 웹 서비스가 선택되면, 웹 서비스들 간의 결합도를 통해 그 다음이나 그 바로 앞에 연결될 수 있는 서비스들을 추천해 준다.

본 논문에서는 자동화 장비들의 제어 및 모니터링 소프트웨어에 대한 쉬운 개발과 유지보수성을 향상시킬 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 프레임워크는 XML기반의 세 가지 표준 문서 형식(IID, MAP. CMIML), VI Wizard, Generator로 구성된다. VI Wizard는 표준문서형식(IID, MAP, CMIML)을 내장하고. 입력받은 IID와 MAP파일을 이용해서 GUI기반으로 VI(Virtual Instrument)를 구성한다. 새롭게 구성된 VI를 이용하여 장비의 제어정보, 사용자 인터페이스 정보 모니터링 정보, 통신 방법 등에 대한 정보를 기술하는 CMIML을 생성한다. Generator는 VI Wizard에서 생성한 CMIML문서와 실제 장비 드라이버에 대한 API를 입력으로 장비에 대한 제어 및 모니터링 소프트웨어를 자동 생성하게 된다.

인터넷이 널리 사용되면서 인터넷 사용자들의 웹 사전 사용 빈도가 크게 증가하였다. 현재 다양한 형태의 웹 사전들이 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있지만, 대부분의 웹 사전들은 검색엔진 형태의 단순질의 검색과 인덱스를 이용한 검색 기능을 제공하고, 고정된 표현 형식만을 제공한다. 또한 사전내용, 인덱스, 참조 및 관련 사이트 정보를 관리하기 위한 도구의 부재로 관리가 어렵고, 저장형식으로 HTML 을 사용하기 때문에 사전 데이터의 재사용에 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 웹 사전들을 사용자-관리자 측면에서 분석하여 문제점을 제시하고, 이를 해결할 수 있도록 카테고리 검색 및 히스토리 검색 서비스를 지원하고, 데이터를 XML 문서로 저장하며, 전용의 사전 관리 도구를 제공하는 XML 기반 웹 사전 프레임워크를 제안하고 구현하였다.

In this paper, we designed and implemented the general-purpose document repository manager for the ebXML-based e-business framework that support the rapid translation of various types of documents and provide the flexibility corresponding to the framework changes. Also, we automated the manually-processed e-business document translation process by designing the adaptor module for the interoperability of legacy systems. In the regards, our designed general purpose document manager makes it possible to integrate the existing e-commerce systems that are operated on the heterogeneous frameworks, and can be used on global e-business solution.

본 연구원이 속한 연구실은 임베디드 소프트웨어 테스팅 프레임워크(이하 프레임워크)를 구축하고 있으며 임베디드 소프트웨어 요구사항 관리 도구(이하 REED)를 개발하였다. REED를 통해 작성된 요구사항은 프레임워크에서 테스트 케이스를 만들고 테스트를 수행하는 데 사용된다. 본 논문은 REED에서 기존에 개발된 요구사항 작성 및 분석 기능에 요구사항 관리 기능을 추가하는 개발에 관한 연구이다.
