Scan Matching based De-skewing Algorithm for 2D Indoor PCD captured from Mobile Laser Scanning (스캔 매칭 기반 실내 2차원 PCD de-skewing 알고리즘)

  • MLS (Mobile Laser Scanning) which is a scanning method done by moving the LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is widely employed to capture indoor PCD (Point Cloud Data) for floor plan generation in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry. The movement and rotation of LiDAR in the scanning phase cause deformation (i.e. skew) of PCD and impose a significant impact on quality of output. Thus, a de-skewing method is required to increase the accuracy of geometric representation. De-skewing methods which use position and pose information of LiDAR collected by IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) have been mainly developed to refine the PCD. However, the existing methods have limitations on de-skewing PCD without IMU. In this study, a novel algorithm for de-skewing 2D PCD captured from MLS without IMU is presented. The algorithm de-skews PCD using scan matching between points captured from adjacent scan positions. Based on the comparison of the deskewed floor plan with the benchmark derived from TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanning), the performance of proposed algorithm is verified by reducing the average mismatched area 49.82%. The result of this study shows that the accurate floor plan is generated by the de-skewing algorithm without IMU.

A Research on the Daily Runoff Simulation for the Downstream Region of Multipurpose Dams in the Han River (漢江水系 다목적댐 下流 日 流出 模擬 硏究)

  • A daily runoff system was constructed to support decision making for water use in the downstream region of multipurpose dams in the Han River. The daily runoff system used the modified model from NWSRFS by Tabios III et al. (1986), and potential evapotranspiration was computed from Penman equation. DWOPER was used for channel routing. While the North Han River is the main river reach in the channel routing system, the South Han River and the Soyang River became tributaries. The rainfall-runoff model was calibrated and verified for five subbasins. Daily runoffs were simulated with the hydrometeorological data in 1986 and1990. The simulations were performed from April to November, and the sum of computed discharges for seven or thirty days were compared with actual releases of the downstream dams. It showed the average absolute errors of 8.7 ~31.6%. The sum of total discharges were 10% or less. While stage errors were produced by 0.5 m or less at Yoju station in the ease of simulation from April to August in 1986, the errors kept under 0.2 m since September. In the simulation for 1990, we compared two simulation results. One is produced from real internal and downstream boundary conditions and the other is one from internal and downstream boundary conditions fixed arbitrarily. The two cases showed similar results.

Fabrication of Three-Dimensional Scanning System for Inspection of Mineshaft Using Multichannel Lidar (다중채널 Lidar를 이용한 수직갱도 조사용 3차원 형상화 장비 구현)

  • Whenever a mineshaft accidentally collapses, speedy risk assessment is both required and crucial. But onsite safety diagnosis by humans is reportedly difficult considering the additional risk of collapse of the unstable mineshaft. Generally, drones equipped with high-speed lidar sensors can be used for such inspection. However, the drone technology is restrictively applicable at very shallow depth, failing in mineshafts with depths of hundreds of meters because of the limit of wireless communication and turbulence inside the mineshaft. In previous study, a three-dimensional (3D) scanning system with a single channel lidar was fabricated and operated using towed cable in a mineshaft to a depth of 200 m. The rotation and pendulum movement errors of the measuring unit were compensated for by applying the data of inertial measuring unit and comparing the similarity between the scan data of the adjacent depths (Kim et al., 2020). However, the errors grew with scan depth. In this paper, a multi-channel lidar sensor to obtain a continuous cross-sectional image of the mineshaft from a winch system pulled from bottom upward. In this new approach, within overlapped region viewed by the multi-channel lidar, rotation error was compensated for by comparing the similarity between the scan data at the same depth. The fabricated system was applied to scan 0-165 m depth of the mineshaft with 180 m depth. The reconstructed image was depicted in a 3D graph for interpretation.

Effects of Underexpanded Plume in Transonic Region on Longitudinal Stability (천음속 영역에서 과소 팽창 화염이 종안정성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Exhaust plume effects on longitudinal aerodynamics of missile were investigated by wind tunnel tests using a solid plume simulator and CFD analyses with both the solid plume and air jet plumes. Approximate plume boundary prediction technique was used to produce the outer shape of the solid plumer and chamber conditions and nozzle shapes of the air jet plumes were determined through plume modeling technique to compensate the difference in thermodynamic properties between air and real plume. From comparisons among turbulence models in case of external flow interaction with the air jet plume, Spalart-Allmaras model turned out to give accurate result and to be less grid-dependent. Effects induced by the plume were evaluated through the computations with Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model and the air jet plume to account for various ratios of chamber and ambient pressure and Reynolds number under the flight test condition.

Preliminary Design of Monitoring and Control Subsystem for GNSS Ground Station (위성항법 지상국 감시제어시스템 예비설계)

  • GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Ground Station monitors navigation satellite signal, analyzes navigation result, and uploads correction information to satellite. GNSS Ground Station is considered as a main object for constructing GNSS infra-structure and applied in various fields. ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) is developing Monitoring and Control subsystem, which is subsystem of GNSS Ground Station. Monitoring and Control subsystem acquires GPS and Galileo satellite signal and provides signal monitoring data to GNSS control center. In this paper, the configurations of GNSS Ground Station and Monitoring and Control subsystem are introduced and the preliminary design of Monitoring and Control subsystem is performed. Monitoring and Control subsystem consists of data acquisition module, data formatting and archiving module, data error correction module, navigation solution determination module, independent quality monitoring module, and system operation and maintenance module. The design process uses UML (Unified Modeling Language) method which is a standard for developing software and consists of use-case modeling, domain design, software structure design, and user interface structure design. The preliminary design of Monitoring and Control subsystem enhances operation capability of GNSS Ground Station and is used as basic material for detail design of Monitoring and Control subsystem.

  • 구조물의 동적부하에 대한 동적변형 응답을 정확히 예측하고, Over Design이나 Under Design이 아닌 합리적인 설계방안의 개발은 중요한 과제이다. 동적강도해석이나 소음 승차감과 같은 진동 및 충격에 기인하는 제반 문제를 복잡한 구조물을 대상으로 합리적으로 처리하기 위한 Dynamic Design Analysis는 높은 신뢰성의 추구와 더불어 필요불가결한 기술이 되고 있다. 동적해석 방법으로는 현재 유한요소법이 널리 사용되고 있으며 여러 종류의 범용 프로그램들이 보급되어 있는 실정이다. 그러나 특히 동적문제에 있어서는 형상이나 거동이 복잡한 구조물의 경우, 또는 차량의 차체와 같이 많은 장착물이 부착된 경우에는 유한요소법의 적용이 곤란하여, 지금까지 대처할 수 있는 유용한 방법이 없었다. 따라서 비교적 용이하고 간단하게 적용가능한 진동실험을 기초로 한 구조물의 동적 응답해석 및 설계 방안의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 진동시험으로 얻어진 부분구조물의 응답특성과 결합특성으로부터 결합 후의 응답특성을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 전달함수합성이론을 기초로하여 프로그래밍 package화 한다. 그리고 평판구조물에 대하여 진동시험과 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 개발된 방법의 타당성을 검증한다. 또한 실제 차량에서 차체만의 진동시험과 엔진의 자유진동시험에 의한 시험데이터로부터 차체와 엔진이 마운트 결합된 후의 진동특성을 예측한다. 진동시험시에 입력과 출력에 노이즈가 필연적으로 혼입되어 주파수응답함수의 크기(magnitude)와 위상(phase)을 왜곡시킨다. 특히 위상의 왜곡은 복소수연산을 하는 전달함수합성법의 결과에 중요한 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 데이타 획득시 입력과 출력의 시간지연으로 생기는 위상왜곡을 보정하는 방법을 제시하고, 그 개선 정도를 조사한다.는 소견의 확실도로서 가능성을 표현한 것이다. 예를 들면, 진동진폭 스펙트럼상에 2X 성분이 상당히 크게 나타나 정렬불량의 가능성이 0.7 정도라고 판정하는 것 등은 이러한 수치적진리치를 이용하는 방법이다. 그러나 상기의 수치적 표현만으로는 확실도를 한개의 수치로서 대표하게 하는 것은 진단의 정밀도에 문제가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 언어적진리치가 도입되어 [상당히 확실], [확실], [약간 확실] 등의 언어적인 표현을 이용하여 애매성을 표현하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 간이진단 결과로부터 추출된 애매한 진단결과중에서 가장 가능성이 높은 이상원인을 복수로 선정하고, 여러 종류의 수치화할 수 없는 언어적(linguistic)인 정보ㄷㄹ을 if-then 형식의 퍼지추론으로 종합하는 회전기계의 이상진단을 위한 정밀진단 알고리즘을 제안하고 그 유용성을 검토한다. 존재하여도 모우드 변수들을 항상 정확하게 구할 수 있으며, 또한 알고리즘의 안정성이 보장된 것이다.. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. Internal Flow Analysis of Urea-SCR System for Passenger Cars Considering Actual Driving Conditions (운전 조건을 고려한 승용차용 요소첨가 선택적 촉매환원장치의 내부 유동 해석에 관한 연구)

  • Diesel vehicles should be equipped with urea-selective catalytic reduction(SCR) system as a high-performance catalyst, in order to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide emissions. In this study, a three-dimensional Eulerian-Lagrangian CFD analysis was used to numerically predict the multiphase flow characteristics of the urea-SCR system, coupled with the chemical reactions of the system's transport phenomena. Then, the numerical spray structure was modified by comparing the results with the measured values from spray visualization, such as the injection velocity, penentration length, spray radius, and sauter mean diameter. In addition, the analysis results were verified by comparison with the removal efficiency of the nitrogen oxide emissions during engine and chassis tests, resulting in accuracy of the relative error of less than 5%. Finally, a verified CFD analysis was used to calculate the interanl flow of the urea-SCR system, thereby analyzing the characteristics of pressure drop and velocity increase, and predicting the uniformity index and overdistribution positions of ammonia.
