An Experimental Study on the Manufacturing and Application of High-Workable Concrete (고유동콘크리트의 제조 및 현장적용을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • Recently, High-Workable Concrete has been developed and began to be used to a great extent in foreign countries, but it is not familiar with and fully Introduced in Korea yet. Therefore the aim of this paper is to suggest a reference data. for the development of High-Workable Concrete according to the comparative analysis which were done on the effects of mix proportion(water-binder ratio, sand-aggregate ratio, unit water, a kind of superplasticizer) on the flowing characteristics. And also this paper aims to examine the compactability and segregation resistance of High-Workable Concrete in a mock-up test and in a field test. From the result, we concluded that it is possible to produce and to use the High-Workable Concrete at the construction site.

  • 새로운 에너지원으로서의 가스 하이드레이트 개발 연구는 한국에서는 2005년 산업자원부에 의해 가스하이드레이트 개발 연구 사업이 정식으로 출범하면서 활발히 진행되기 시작하였다. 2007년도에 종료된 1단계 연구를 통하여 동해에서 가스 하이드레이트 부존이 확인됨에 따라 2단계에서 부터는 가스하이드레이트 생산 연구가 연구의 중심으로 떠오르게 되었다. 생산 연구는 물성/생산 실험 연구, 전산모사 연구, 해외 현장 시험 생산 연구로 크게 나뉘어 질 수 있는데 현재 한국에서는 물성/생산 실험 연구가 가장 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 이에 따라 보다 체계적이고 계획적인 연구를 위하여 기 실험된 연구를 종합 분석하여 체계적인 실험 결과의 활용과 향후 연구 계획을 하고자 한다. 본 발표에서는 기 실행된 실험 연구를 수행기관, 시료의 크기, 경계조건 등의 실험 규모, 시료의 종류, 하이드레이트 형성 조건, 측정 물성, 채택 생산 기법 등의 실험 내용 등을 종합하여 소개하고자 한다. 1단계에서는 주로 실험실 스케일, 인공 모래 시료, 인공 가스하이드레이트를 이용한 실험연구가 주를 이루었으며 이를 보완하기 위하여 2단계에서는 중규모, 자연시료, 자연 하이드레이트를 이용한 실험연구가 시작되었다. 초기 단계에서 생산 기법으로 감압법, 열수 주입법, 열자극 법, 화학 억제제 주입법, 치환 생상법 등이 연구되었으며 그 결과 감압법을 주 생산 기법으로 하여 열수 주입법, 열자극법, 화학 억제제 주입법 등을 하이드레이트 재생성 억제기법으로 혼합하여 쓰는 하이브리드 기법들이 연구 되었으며 현재 세계적인 수준의 실험 연구 기술 수준을 보유 하고 있는 치환 생산법 연구가 또한 현재까지 활발히 진행되고 있다.

Application of Recycled Aggregate in Job site as Anti-freezing and Lean Concrete Base Materials (현장파쇄 재생골재의 동상방지층 및 빈배합 콘크리트 기층 시험시공연구)

  • The waste concrete produced by the process of the highway construction and management, has been crushed in-situ, and the waste aggregate has been experimentally used for anti-freezing layer and lean concrete. After testing the bearing capacity on anti-freezing layer, it was found that when the waste aggregates mixed with natural sand would be within the required gradations, the layer meets the requirements of limitation and the percentage to passing 2$\sim$20mm sieve increased by 5$\sim$13% because the flimsy mortars on aggregate were re-crushed by vibrated-roller compactor. The compressive strength of lean concrete using recycled aggregate was 71$\sim$85% of the natural coarce aggregate made, but nevertheless the recycled aggregates are applicable to the lean concrete because they largely exceeded the required strength, $57.5kgf/cm^2$.

크라이오펌프 국산 개발품 공정 신뢰성 및 내구성 시험

  • 5년 동안 진행된 고진공 펌프 개발 사업의 일환으로 맥동관형 냉동기에 활성탄 어레이를 장착한 흡기구 직경 14인치 국산 크라이오펌프 완제품이 만들어졌다. 이미 지난해에 완성한 시제품을 가지고 모든 배기성능시험을 완료하고 목표를 뛰어 넘는 성능을 가지고 있음을 입증하였지만 완제품의 경우는 현장에서 스퍼터링 공정에 대한 신뢰성과 열적 내구성 시험이 중요한 항목으로 대두되었다. 개발된 펌프를 생산 공정에 직접 투입하는 모험을 하지 않으면서도 신뢰성을 확보하는 방편으로 카이스트 나노종합팹 센터에서 가동중인 스퍼터링 장비에 완제품을 달고 기존 공정과 같은 방식으로 장치를 운영하면서 외제 상용품을 사용했을 때와 진공성능 및 공정수율을 비교하는 시험을 수행하였다. 또 내구성 시험 항목으로 열부하 시험과 열 사이클 시험을 수행하였다. 열부하 시험은 300도까지 온도를 올릴 수 있는 열판을 펌프 흡기구 배플 앞에 설치하여, 냉동기 2차 냉각단 온도가 20 K 이하로 유지될 수 있는 최대 허용 복사열을 측정하는 방식으로 진행되었으며 열 사이클 시험은 크라이오 펌프의 활성화 기능을 활용하여 완전 활성화(full regen., 10K-300K-10K) 과정을 10회 연속 시행하여 펌프의 배기성능과 기계적 이상 유무를 관찰하였다.

  • KS F 2782 (for shotcrete accelerators) standard cross-section of tunnel construction or repair is a reinforcement used in the field of shotcrete accelerators as a criterion in assessing shotcrete performance. Thus, KS F 2782 by standard accelerator will determine the nature of the product of concrete accelerators that will be used to record variations in the product roles, through determination of the quality of the experimental method to identify only the quality of the many variables that exist. This evaluation standard has so far distinguished accelerator products in indoor experiments that do not meet quality standards but were mostly for an on-site accelerator mixed with the shotcrete after being quite satisfied with the level of quality in a certain number of products. This observation is derived from the results of an indoor experiment considered to verify whether the site is suitable for indoor experiments, and whether its actual location in the city is relevant to the accelerator quality, to find a way to test if it fits. This study centers on the material conditions of the shotcrete accelerator and a variety of experimental results, and used the Gilmore needle to compare the compressive strength and KS F 2782 specification of the accelerator as a means to ensure product quality conformity analysis and for further research experiments. In conclusion, a portion of KS F 2782 standard that fixes the problems that can be resolved from the ground up as a whole is not a review for the domestic reality. As an indoor experiment to ensure uniformity in the field when applied in a sufficient correlation, complement must be in place.

  • This paper presents a series of tests to produce the h~gh quality concrete to be filled Inside the steel tube columns. Thls concrete filled steel tube system requires not only the high strength, but a150 the flowable concrete. Laboratory test has been performed to clarlfy the material characteristics and to produce the optlmal mix design proportion. Full scale site mock up test has been then carried out to slnlulate the actual construct~on conditions including the product~on of concrete at the rermcon batch plant, transportation to the construction site, proper workabil~ ty and man power required , 4ddit1onal mock up test has finally been performec to irivesti gate any unfavorable construction s~tuatioils since the actual concrete placement has been sched uled in cold weather period, so that the high quality concrete construction is convinced to be successfully carried out.

An Evaluation of Field Performance of Environmentally Friendly Asphalt Pavement (친환경 아스팔트 도로포장의 현장 공용성 분석)

  • Warm mix asphalt(WMA), which is produced at lower temperatures than hot mix asphalt, has advantages in reductions of fuel consumption and greenhouse-gas emission. In this study, field tests such as skid resistance, rutting(permanent deformation), and roughness were conducted for analysis of long-term field performance of modified warm mix asphalt pavement. Skid resistance after 20 months represents the result similar to initial performance results but rutting and roughness decreased somewhat depending on the period of performance. Measurement results of permanent deformation and roughness could be acceptable because measured pavement location is bus lane that a lot of buses pass and stop. There were no cracks after 11 months, but some minor cracks were observed after 20 months. These results were influenced by increased crack resistance due to fiber addition.

  • The earthwork is a core process of all constructions, and compaction measurement of earthwork play an important role in improving productivity. The analog tests such as Plate Bearing Test and Sand-cone occupy current compaction measurement techniques. Due to advanced 4th Industrial Revolution, research on analog tests combined smart construction technology are actively conducted. DCPT (Dynamic Cone penetration Test), simpler and faster than conventional tests, has recently on rise. However, it is also an analog that measures data manually and has several disadvantages such as history management and data verification. The IoT-based DCPT system developed in this study combines digital wire sensors, mobile phones, and Bluetooth with conventional DCPT. Compare to conventional test methods, IoT-based DCPT has advantages such as performance time, single-person measurement, low cost, mobile-based management, and real-time data verification. In addition, a test bed was built to verify IoT-based DCPT. The test bed was built under similar conditions to the actual earthworks site through roller equipment. DCPT data obtained from 322 stations. As a result, IoT-based DCPT showed good performance, and the test bed was also showed stable results as the compaction was carried out.

Effects of Selected Time on Analysis Results in Step-Drawdown Tests (단계양수시험 해석시 시간선택이 해석결과에 미치는 영향)

  • Step-drawdown test has been generally conducted to evaluate productivity or efficiency of both aquifer and well. In general step-drawdown test, pumping with a low constant discharge rate is conducted in the first stage until the drawdown within the well stabilizes. And then the groundwater is pumped with a higher rate in the next step until the drawdown stabilizes once more. This process is repeated at least three times (steps), with the equal duration. In this paper we tried to review some critical problems related to the step-drawdown test, which were revealed in the process of field practices and analyses. The problems, referred in this paper are mainly associated with the incorrect conceptual approach for analysis and incomplete data collection in the field test.

Development of High Viscous Modified Asphalt Binder for Porous Asphalt Pavement (배수성 포장용 고점도 개질 아스팔트 바인더 개발)

  • This paper describes the results of laboratory and field performance tests on the polymer modified asphalt binder and mixtures developed in this study for porous asphalt pavements. Various physical and mechanical laboratory tests including DSR and BBR tests are performed for two types of modified binders, and one type of binder is selected based on the binder testing results. Mix designs are conducted for the selected asphalt binder and a Japanese modified binder, respectively. Various performance tests including fatigue tests, wheel tracking tests, and moisture susceptibility tests are conducted for the domestic and Japanese porous asphalt mixtures. Test results indicate that the overall performance characteristics of the domestic mixture are similar to or better than those of the Japanese mixture. Based on the laboratory testing results, the domestic porous mixture is applied to a field test section. Periodic field investigations are conducted to evaluate the changes in noise level and air voids with time. The road noise analysis shows that the noise levels of the porous pavement keep increasing and, after two years, are similar to those of SMA pavements.
