Effects of Water-Repellent on the Physical Properties of Water Paint (발수제가 수성페인트의 물리적 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to analyze durability of water-repellent paints mixed with water-repellents as outer surface finishing materials, and evaluate its feasibility. General functions and water-repelling effects were tested, and the feasibility was evaluated based on the test results. The experimental results of heat conduction durability, air permeability, absorption, and bond strength suggested that water-repellent paints mixed with water-repellents were suitable for finishing materials. Considering overall general durability performances, stable mixing ratios were 2, 5, and 8%.

  • Dedicated outdoor air(DOA) system which conditions the outdoor air separately is superior to conventional cooling+reheating system with respect to energy consumption and indoor comfort. Since the sensible and latent load characteristics of indoor and outdoor are different, it is more efficient to treat them separately. In this study, cycle analysis and on-site performance test of DOA system have been conducted. The study shows that DOA requires 48.8% less equivalent energy that conventional system. The on-site performance test of the prototype shows that the coefficient of performance(COP) of the DOA system is 37.4% higher than the conventional system.

  • 기존의 무량판 구조와 동일한 이방향 슬래브구조인 TVS(two-way void slab)공법은 구조적 하중지지 성능이 불필요한 슬래브 단면상의 중앙부 콘크리트를 제거하여 슬래브의 자중을 줄이고 무량판 구조의 단점을 보완하여 장점을 극대화시킨 구조형식이다. 그러나 이러한 장점을 보유한 공법을 현장적용하기 위해서는 내화성능평가를 통해 화재안전성을 확보하여야 하므로, 이에 대한 화재 실증실험을 수행하여 현장적용을 위한 최소 요구내화 시간에 따른 내화성능 확보방안의 도출이 제시되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 TVS공법의 실제 스팬길이로 슬래브 피복두께에 따른 화재거동 영향성 분석을 위하여 화재실험을 수행하였다. 하중조건은 고정하중과 적재하중을 고려하여 실험체에 등분포 조건으로 사전재하하였으며, 표준화재조건으로 재하가열 실험을 수행하였다. 슬래브의 화재가열 노출면으로부터의 깊이별 온도변화와 처짐변형 특성을 측정하였으며, KS F 2257-1 평가기준에 의거하여 슬래브의 내화성능을 평가하였다. 실험결과 피복두께 50 mm를 확보할 경우, EPS중공체로 제작한 실험체의 경우 약 2시간정도의 내화성능을 확보할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recently, the study on the application of SCC(Self-Compacting Concrete) is actively underway, in order to solve the lack of flowability and the poor compacting which is one of the chronic problems of tunnel lining concrete. The aim of this study is that to verify the validity of the application of SCLC(Self-Compacting Lining Concrete) for tunnel lining concrete and to examine the characteristic of flowing and mechanics of SCLC in term of comparing before and after casting SCLC was developed by Packing Factor mix method and casted in field mix-design according to the condition of site and the characteristic of aggregate. Before casting, the tests of the capability of flowability and durability was performed by slump flow, air void and so on. Additionally, the slump flow loss is measured to evaluated the possibility of cast-in-place. Furthermore, considering on the first time SCLC casting applied to the tunnel lining in Korea, it is provided that the careful items and the correct way for construction when applied the SCLC on site.

  • 오늘날 고성능의 소형 센서 및 무선통신 기술의 발달로 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 실현이 가능하게 되었다. 미래의 스마트한 디바이스뿐만 아니라 무선통신이 가능한 USN(Ubiquito us Sensor network) 기술은 주변 현황을 인식하고 필요한 정보를 처리하여 현장건설 등에 피이드백 시킴으로써 보다 나은 건설 진행과정에 관한 파악과 설계변경 및 계획 등에 필요한 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 본 연구는 TinyOS 기반에서 운용되는 무선 통신에 의한 USN 기술과 그래픽 기반의 LabView 프로그래밍 기술을 융합하여 정보를 처리할 수 있는 일련의 인터페이스 방법을 구현하였다. 송수신된 데이터 처리 결과는 TinyOS 기반으로 동작하는 PC에 그래프 등으로 나타나도록 하였으며, 무선통신용 USN 기술과 융합된 그래픽 처리 기반의 마이크로프로세서 시스템의 장점과 편리성으로 건설현장의 진행과정파악 및 변경 등에 필요한 정보를 제공하며 건설현장 정보의 피이드백을 가능하도록 하였다. 그 결과, 철도건설 현장관리에서의 USN과 구조물의 정밀진단 및 관리에 매우 유용함을 입증하였다.

An Experimental Study on the Structural Performance of Lightly Reinforced Concrete Frame Retrofitted with Concrete Block and Cast-In Place Infilled Wall (블록 끼움벽과 현장타설 끼움벽으로 보강된 비내진 상세 철근콘크리트 골조의 구조성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In many other countries framed structures with inadequate lateral strength and stiffness have been strengthened by providing reinforced concrete infilled wall. There is a general agreement among researchers those infilled walls have 3-5times greater lateral strength compared with bare frame. The main objective of this research is to investigate the behavior and strength of reinforced concrete frames infilled with concrete block and cast-in-place reinforced concrete panels used for strengthening the structure against seismic action. For this purpose three 1/3 scale, one-bay, one-story reinforced concrete infilled frames were tested under reversed cyclic loading simulating the seismic effect. The results indicate that infilled walls increase both strength and stiffness significantly under lateral loads. Especially Strength capacity and initial stiffness of CIP infilled wall increased 3.8 times and 6.6 times higher than lightly reinforced concrete frame.

Site Assessment for the Water Purification Effect of Porous Concrete by using Effective Micro-organisms (유용미생물을 이용한 포러스콘크리트의 수질정화특성에 대한 현장평가)

  • In recent years, a rapid growth in the population and urbanization led to an increasing industrial growth. The inadequate treated-wasted water from industry and various non-point sources causes significant negative effects on the stream water. For past few decades, extensive researches have been performed on water purification process. The purpose of this study is to investigate mechanical performance and water purification properties of porous concrete by using effective microorganisms through the site assessment test. The mechanical performance evaluation results showed that the increase void ration caused an decrease in the strength. The optimal mix rate was found to be 15% void rate From the site assessment, it was evaluated that the porous concrete improved the quality of the water and the purification ratios are 34.1 for SS, 14.6% for BOD, 34.9% for COD, 11.4% for T-N, and 12.6% for T-P. The porous concrete and the related purification technique can reduce the non-point pollution sources flowing into the river.

Development and Performance Evaluation of Single Process Separating and Sorting Pilot for Mixed Construction Waste (혼합건설폐기물의 단일 공정 분리·선별 장치 개발 및 성능평가)

  • In this study, a small portable sorting pilot for separation that can be used in dismantling construction site, which is the stage of construction waste generation, was developed, and its separation efficiency was evaluated to increase the actual recycling rate of the construction waste. The pilot was developed as portable sorting pilot for separation of 6 ton capacity that can handle one arm roll box within a $15m^2$ area in consideration of narrow places in the downtown area where a number of dismantling sites are located and various processes performed in the dismantling sites. In order to evaluate the efficiency performance of the developed device, the separation and sorting were carried out ten times with respect to trommel rotational speed RPM 2-3, 4-6 and 7-8. According to the results, the highest efficiency of about 90% was shown at RPM 6-7.

A Study on the Field Cutting Performance Analysis of Eco-friendly Road Cutter (친환경 도로절단기의 현장 절단성능 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The demand for maintenance of underground facilities buried beneath the road continues to increase significantly, due to environmental problems caused by excessive noise and dust and complaints from urban residents, the demand for eco-friendly and low-noise road cutters is increasing. Therefore, we analyzed the cutting performance of low noise cutter and eco-friendly cutter and reviewed the improvement. Based on the field construction cases, problems and improvements were obtained according to the cutting machine working procedure. The productivity for cutting operations of eco-friendly cutters (36.0 seconds/m) was somewhat improved compared to the low noise cutters (37.6 seconds/m). However defects occurred in some sections and improvement was required.

Freeway Bus-Only Lane Enforcement System Using Infrared Image Processing Technique (적외선 영상검지 기술을 활용한 고속도로 버스전용차로 단속시스템 개발)

  • An automatic freeway bus-only lane enforcement system was developed and assessed in a real-world environment. Observation of a bus-only lane on the Youngdong freeway, South Korea, revealed that approximately 99% of the vehicles violated the high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane regulation. However, the current enforcement by the police not only exhibits a low enforcement rate, but also induces unnecessary safety and delay concerns. Since vehicles with six passengers or higher are permitted to enter freeway bus-only lanes, identifying the number of passengers in a vehicle is a core technology required for a freeway bus-only lane enforcement system. To that end, infrared cameras and the You Only Look Once (YOLOv5) deep learning algorithm were utilized. For assessment of the performance of the developed system, two environments, including a controlled test-bed and a real-world freeway, were used. As a result, the performances under the test-bed and the real-world environments exhibited 7% and 8% errors, respectively, indicating satisfactory outcomes. The developed system would contribute to an efficient freeway bus-only lane operations as well as eliminate safety and delay concerns caused by the current manual enforcement procedures.
