A Comparative Study on Brand Attitudes of Social Innovative Companies and General Enterprises by Product Blind Testing (제품 블라인드 테스트를 통한 사회혁신기업과 일반기업의 브랜드 태도 비교 연구)

  • This study focused on the brand attitude of consumers toward social innovation companies so that they could have differentiated competitive advantage and secure competitive advantage with ordinary companies. To this end, the difference in consumer brand attitudes between products of social innovation entities and products of general enterprises was compared through blind testing. The blind test results of this study showed that there was no statistically significant difference in product properties or brand attitudes, but after the information of the after-sales product was disclosed, the information included that the soap product used as a laboratory was natural handmade soap, indicating that post-brand attitudes improved in both social innovation and general enterprise products. And after explaining the social values pursued by social innovators, the increased interest in social innovation firms compared to ordinary enterprises resulted in a statistically significant increase in brand attitudes toward social innovation enterprise products. Clear and unexaggerated information displays on product packaging can be a tool to improve brand attitudes. In addition, in order to raise consumer awareness of social innovation enterprise products, there will be a need to enhance education and promotion policies for social innovation companies at the government level, and developing self-help measures for social innovation companies to promote themselves by presenting the contents of their social values as advertising copy on their product packaging may also be another breakthrough for improving brand attitudes and increasing sales.

  • 기술발전에 따른 혁신제품 및 서비스에 대한 연구는 유용성과 편의성을 중심으로 그 수용 및 저항을 서로 다른 관점에서 보아왔다. 그러나 소비자 혹은 사용자들이 느끼는 혁신제품 및 서비스에 대한 태도와 평가는 수용하려는 측면과 저항하려는 측면이 동시에 작용하며 그 결과로서 사용의도 혹은 구매의도가 결정된다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 혁신제품 혹은 서비스가 갖는 다양한 속성을 기술수용모형(TAM: Technology Acceptance Model) 에서의 지각된 유용성(Perceived Usefulness) 과 지각된 편의성 (Perceived Ease of Use) 개념을 사용자 지각에 기초하여 상대적 이점, 유용성, 편의성, 기술혁신성, 사용법의 변화 인식, 위험지각 등으로 구체화하고 각각의 개념이 수용적 태도와 저항에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 아울러 수용적 태도와 저항이 사용의도에 미치는 영향력을 동시에 분석 및 비교하였다. 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 중심으로 혁신제품에 대한 소비자 중심의 관리적 시사점도 제시하였다.

The Effect of V-commerce Content Type and Product Type on Attitude and Sharing Intention (V커머스 콘텐츠 유형과 제품 유형에 따른 태도와 공유의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between attitude, purchase intention, and intention to share content and brand intention according to Influencer contents and branded content types. The results of this study are as follows: First, beauty products have a positive effect on the content intention and purchase intention as well as the sharing intention as compared to the branded contents. Second, V-commerce of innovative products showed that the branded content was more positive than the influencer content, but the purchase intention was lower. In addition, the content of sharing is higher than that of branded content. Third, the sharing intention was more positive than the beauty product, and the influencer content was higher than the branded content. The purpose of this study is to examine the attitude, purchasing intention, and sharing intention of beauty products and innovative products, which are most frequently used and most interested in users, to examine the content strategy of V-Commerce.

Effects of Innovation Characteristics and User Characteristics on the Adopting e-Books : Focused on Innovation Resistance Model (혁신특성과 사용자특성이 전자책 수용에 미치는 영향 : 혁신저항모형을 중심으로)

  • While past studies on e-books have mainly focused on the uses and gratifications (UG) and technology acceptance model(TAM), this study rather analysed the innovation resistance factors of adopting the e-book based on the innovation resistance model. The research model comprises of two factors: 1) innovation characteristics which include relative advantages, compatability and complexity, 2) user characteristics which encompass attitudes towards innovation and existing products (i.e., paper books). Using online survey questionnaire, this study examined the effects of those innovation and user characteristics on the innovation resistance, and the relationship between innovation resistance and intention of adoption. The results showed that complexity and attitude towards existing products affected the innovation resistance which has negative influence on the intention of adoption. Accordingly, it is necessary to improve the ease of use in the whole process from purchase to reading experiences, and highlight e-books' own interactive features and functions which are perceived as different from paper-book user experience.

A Framework Exploring the Pivotal Role of Preannounced Information Attributes in the Chinese Market: Moderating Effects of Product Knowledge and Product Innovativeness (중국 시장의 신제품 사전예고 정보 속성의 중요성에 관한 연구: 제품 지식과 제품 혁신성의 조절역할을 중심으로)

  • Preannouncing a new product to its target audiences has been more and more prevalent in a wealth of industries, particularly industries that attach great importance to the speed of entry. Grounded in market signaling theory, the current research advances a theoretical model that takes full cognizance of the relation between preannounced information about an upcoming product and individual customers' behavioral intentions as well as significant moderating effects of prior product knowledge and new product innovativeness. In response, a web-based survey is conducted for data collection and the structural equation model is utilized for data analysis. Results of this study demonstrate that preannounced new product information attributes (i.e., quantity, clarity) may positively influence consumers' attitudes, in turn, lead to a favorable purchase intention. Moreover, the moderating effects of product knowledge and product innovativeness are also confirmed. Specifically, product knowledge moderates the quantity-attitude relation positively and moderates the clarity-attitude relation negatively, whereas product innovativeness does opposite. Both implications and limitations are also described.

  • 2007 년 3 월 3.5 세대인 HSDPA 의 전국 서비스가 시작되면서 HSDPA 휴대전화는 영상통화를 중심으로 한 다양한 기능으로 소비자를 유혹하고 있지만 설문조사에 의하면 HSDPA 에 대해 소비자들은 과반수 이상이 필요성을 못 느끼고 있고 3 세대에서 2 세대로의 '역(逆) 번호이동'도 꾸준히 늘고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 소비자들이 HSDPA 휴대전화라는 신기술에 대해 기술 수용과 혁신 저항을 동시에 하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 기술 수용과 혁신 저항의 관점에서 연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과는 유용성, 편이성, 혁신제품의 특징, 더 좋은 제품 기대가 태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 자기효능, 복잡성, 지각된 위험, 기존 제품에 태도는 태도에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

Study on the Innovation Acceptance Characteristics for Digital Convergence Products (혁신수용특성에 대한 디지털 컨버전스 제품 수용의도에 대한 연구)

  • This research looks at the innovative product characteristics, environmental properties, and personal attitudes as antecedents of consumer's perceived usefulness and easiness of product usage. And the attitudes toward digital convergence products and its acceptability as consequences. The results indicate that relative advantage, expectation for better product, the social influence, mass communications, and attitudes toward the new technology, significantly influence the perceived usefulness. The current research revealed that perceived usefulness is more influential over perceived easiness on the formation of positive attitude toward the product. The users of digital convergence products put more weight on the availability of the product functions rather than easiness of use.

  • Convergence products, which perform multiple functions, are gaining popularity in the marketplace these days. Unfortunately, however, little research to date has been conducted as to how consumers evaluate such products. The present research, based on the existing literature regarding the innovation resistance and product bundling, examines the factors influencing consumer responses to convergence products. The results of the study reveal that consumer evaluations and purchase intentions are affected by consumer perceptions of risk (emotional and functional), convenience, product complementarity and relative advantage as well as consumer individual differences measured by technographics. Implications of the results for marketers and future research are discussed.

Resistance to Mobile Commerce Services (모바일상거래 서비스의 저항요인)

  • This paper analyzes the resistance to mobile commerce services in consumer adoption process. Relative advantage, compatibility, perceived risk, complexity, self-efficacy, innovativeness and attitude for competing service have been chosen as independent variables. This paper also investigates on the significant factors which resist against adoption of mobile commerce service according to adoption phase. The results show that relative advantage, self-efficacy, perceived risk, attitude for competing service are significant factors to affect resistance to mobile commerce services. Relative advantage, perceived risk, attitude for competing service are significant resistance to mobile commerce services for consumers in before-adoption group and compatibility, complexity, self-efficacy are significant factors for consumers in after-adoption group. This study can be extended to new communication services such as Wibro and DMB to reduce resistances in early adoption phase.

  • 본 연구는 인터넷 전자상거래를 이용하는 소비자를 대상으로 인터넷 공동구매의 동기요인(시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의)이 협상력과 관여도에 따른 공동구매에 대한 태도와 공동구매의 의도에 미치는 영향에 대해서 실증 분석하였다. 시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의는 인터넷 공동구매태도의 선행변수로 가정하였으며 협상력, 관여도는 공동구매태도의 조절변수로 가정하였다. 그리고 공동구매태도는 인터넷 공동구매의도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정하였다. 실증분석은 인터넷상에서 제품을 한번이라도 구매해 본 경험이 있거나 인터넷 공동구매를 한번이라도 해 본 경험이 있는 고객을 대상으로 설문조사 하였다. 조사분석 결과, 공동구매 동기요인인 시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의가 높을수록 공동구매태도에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 협상력이 높을 때보다는 낮을 때 공동구매태도에 부(-)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 관여도는 낮을 때보다는 높을 때 공동구매태도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 공동구매태도는 공동구매의도에 정(+)의 매우 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 인터넷을 통한 공동구매 시 동기요인인 시장불확실성, 가격의식, 집단주의, 혁신주의는 협상력이 낮을 때와 관여도가 높을 때 공동구매태도에 더 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 이러한 공동구매태도는 공동구매의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
