In this study, we have examined the effect of open innovation of SMEs on innovation performance of firms. Most studies do not consider internal generation in relation to open innovation and innovation performance.We conducted empirical studies to overcome this problem. The research was carried out by collecting data collected from 512 SMEs and the 3SLS method was used to minimize the internal generation. As a result, open innovation investment and use of external ideas among SMEs' open innovation have positively influenced project success and technical performance. But, the introduction of technology and cooperation with the research organization did not affect the innovation performance, which is presumed to be due to the fact that the open innovation of SMEs is limited to relatively inexpensive activities. Therefore, in order to promote open innovation of SMEs, it is necessary to provide support for relatively high-cost activities and to improve the innovation performance of enterprises. In order to reduce the difficulties of open innovation activities, domestic universities and research institutes should support the construction of enterprise networks and actively support the utilization of technology to expand innovation performance.

In this study, the performance of the technological innovation of small and medium enterprises is divided into short-term aspects of technological innovation and long-term aspects of ambidextrous innovation, and the effects of dynamic capabilities affecting these achievements are explored. For the purpose of conducting empirical analysis, the survey conducted a survey of 219 small businesses belonging to various industries, and dynamic capabilities performed a parallel multi-parameter analysis to demonstrate the effectiveness of technological innovation performance, including exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation. Through this study, it aims to understand the dynamic capabilities of the small and midsize enterprises and provide suggestions on how to manage of the company, thereby improving the understanding of dynamic capabilities and helping to improve the management of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The purpose of this study was to identify the antecedents of organizational innovativeness, which in turn influence firm performance that is composed of new product development performance and overall firm performance. We collected responses from C-level executives, and conducted a structural equation model analysis. Results revealed that organizational memory and market orientation influence organizational innovativeness, which in turn influence new product development performance and overall firm performance. However, interestingly, new product development performance was not found to affect overall firm performance. Based on these results, we have confirmed the importance of market orientation and organizational memory for organizational innovativeness. Practical implications related to the results are provided.

This study is designed to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship orientation of owner managers on product innovation performance through user innovation participation by using Korea Innovation Survey 2014 (KIS 2014) conducted by STEPI (Science and Technology Policy Institute). The findings show that entrepreneurial orientation of owner managers measured by a proxy variable of ownership ratio has positive relationship with innovation performance of firms. They also present that user innovation activity has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between the entrepreneurial orientation of owner managers and innovation performance of firms. This study suggests that the higher the entrepreneurial orientation of the owner manager, the higher the innovation performance. The innovation performance can be intensified when the open innovation strategy is implemented through the user participation.

The purpose of this research was to figure out how technology management activities are needed to survive in a rapidly changing business environment and how technology management activities affect company performance. First, Hypothesis 1 was partially adopted that Technology management activities will have a positive influence on management outcomes. Second, Hypothesis 2 was partially adopted that Innovation activities of firms will have mediating effects on the relationship between technology management activities and management outcomes. If the research subjects are expanded nationwide and divided into manufacturing industry, non - manufacturing industry, small and medium enterprise and large enterprise, it will be meaningful from academic point of view and practical point of view.

This study analyzed the effects of corporate dynamic capabilities on enterprise performance by using ambidextrous innovation activities as mediators, focusing on SME employees. The sub-variables of dynamic capabilities were divided into opportunity exploration capability, resource acquisition capability, and resource reconstruction capability. 282 questionnaires collected from small and medium-sized enterprises residing in the metropolitan area were used for empirical analysis. SPSS v22.0 and Process macro v3.4 were used to analyze the parallel multiple mediation model. First, the results of the analysis showed that opportunity exploration capability, resource acquisition capability had a positive (+) effect on the ambidextrous innovation activities, and the effect of resource reconstruction capability on ambidextrous innovation activities was not significant. Second, the ambidextrous innovation activities had a significant effect on the enterprise performance. Third, it was found that opportunity exploration capability and resource acquisition capability had a positive (+) effect on enterprise performance, and the effect of resource reconstruction capability on enterprise performance was not significant. Fourth, the ambidextrous innovation activity mediated the relationship between opportunity exploration capability and enterprise performance. Fifth, the ambidextrous innovation activity mediated the relationship between resource acquisition capability and enterprise performance. Sixth, the ambidextrous innovation activity did not mediate the resource reconstruction capability and the enterprise performance. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to find third mediators besides the mediators used in this study, analyze the serial mediation model through these, and study for the moderated mediation analysis through the conditional process model in which the moderator is introduced.

Studies on technological innovation of SMEs have made remarkable growth both qualitatively and quantitatively, but each study has a limitation to generalize due to lack of data, diversity of methodologies and variables. Therefore, a systematic and comprehensive statistical approach to obtain generalized conclusions through numerous empirical studies can help both the strategic decision making of SMEs and the government's innovation policies. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the technological innovation process of SMEs through meta-analysis. For this, the antecedents of technological innovation, the relationship between technological innovation and management performance of SMEs were analyzed. The results of using 62,512 samples from 111 domestic empirical studies were as follows; First, to improve the technological innovation of SMEs, internal cooperation, innovation culture, dynamic capabilities, and absorptive capacity were important antecedents. Second, in terms of IP performance, which was introduced as a proxy for technological innovation, human resource management, technological opportunities, commercialization capabilities, financial resources, and R&D expenditure. Third, technological innovation has a medium-sized effect on financial performance, however the effect of IP performance has a small effect size. Lastly, in the relationship between technological innovation and financial performance, the method of measurement and publication type showed statistically significant moderating effects.

This study investigated the effect of digital agriculturalization factors on business performance with the use of financial support as a moderating variable for agricultural firm workers. The factors of digital agriculture were divided into digital technology innovation orientation, administration innovation orientation, healthiness of ecosystem and entrepreneurship orientation, and business performance was set as a dependent variable. 212 questionnaires collected from workers in agricultural businesses located across the country were used for empirical analysis. Analysis results using SPSS v22.0 and Process macro v3.4 are as follows: First, digital technology innovation orientation, administration innovation orientation, and entrepreneurship orientation have a significant effect on business performance, and the effect of ecosystem health on business performance is appeared to be insignificant. Second, the use of financial support was found to significantly moderating the relationship between digital technology innovation orientation and business performance, entrepreneurship orientation and business performance. On the other hand, it was found that the relationship between operational innovation orientation, business performance, and healthiness of ecosystem and business performance were not significantly moderated In addition, as a follow-up study, a study on the mediation model formed by the discovery of mediators and a study for a moderated mediation analysis through a conditional process model with additional mediators are required.

a본 논문에서는 과학기술정책연구원에서 조사한 2016년 한국기술혁신조사(KIS 2016) 데이터를 이용하여 한국 제조기업의 혁신성과에 영향을 미치는 혁신저해요인에 관한 분석을 진행하였다. KIS 2016 데이터의 제조업 기업 수는 4000개였는데 이 중 혁신 설문에서 제시한 혁신 저해요인 중 아무것도 겪지 않았다고 답한 기업과 응답이 누락된 기업을 제외한 3159개 기업의 데이터를 활용하여 분석을 진행하였으며, 분석 방법으로는 로지스틱 회귀모형을 사용하였다. 자료를 바탕으로 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 그에 따라 혁신 저해요인으로 자금 문제, 기업 역량 요인, 필요 요인 총 세 가지 요인이 추출되었다. 이를 바탕으로 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과 자금 문제와 기업 역량 요인의 경우 혁신 제품의 시장 출시에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 필요 요인의 경우 음(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 기업의 혁신 성공에 있어서는 기술혁신의 필요성에 대한 인식 제고가 시급한 것으로 분석되었다.

This study focused on the study of the moderating effects of absorptive capacity(AC) of venture firms on the technological innovation performance(TIP). For this purpose, this study analyzed the relationship between entrepreneurship(ENT), innovation competence(INC), external cooperation(EXO) and AC affecting the performance of technological innovation activities in venture companies in the area of Busan. As a result of analysis, the AC showed a role of moderating processes, in which ENT have affected the INC, and ENT, INC, and EXO have affected the TIP. Secondly, several relationships which have positively influenced or mediated, have been presented. ENT has positively influenced INC, EXO, & TIC. INC have done so EXC & TIP. EXC have done so TIP. Each of INC and EXC has been positively mediating the relationship between ENT & TIP.
