Selection and Bioactivity of Tank Mix Combinations of Pesticides for Aerial Application (항공방제용 농약의 혼용가능 조합 선발 및 생물효과)

  • This study was conducted to select excellent tank mix combinations of pesticides for aerial application by manned helicopter. Among 209 pesticide combinations of 3-way tank-mixing for aerial application, a total of 93 recommendable combinations including tricyclazole SC+validamycin-A SL+imidacloprid SL were finally selected for the simultaneous control of key pests on paddy rice such as blast, sheath blight, brown planthopper and moth. The selected combinations were not phytotoxic to rice plants and nearby non-target crops, and excellent in physicochemical properties of ultra low volume (ULV) spray solutions. The efficacies on sheath blight, brown planthoppers and white-backed planthoppers of pesticides sprayed by aerial application were similar to those of pesticides by conventional spraying. Total cost of aerial application in paddy rice was very economical as one fourth level of that of conventional spraying.

  • Aerial application using an unmanned agricultural helicopter became necessary for both labor saving and timely spraying. In the previous paper, a rotor system was developed and lift capability was evaluated. The experimental results were compared with simulated predictions using the CFD-ACE program. From the simulation, the relative velocity on the top surface of the blade airfoil increased, resulting in the pressure drop. The CFD analyses were revealed that a drag resistance on the leading edge of the airfoil, a wake at the trailing edge, and a positive pressure underneath the bottom surface were observed. As the results of the simulation, total lifts of 56.8, 74.4 and $95.0kg_f$ were obtained at the 6, 8 and $10^{\circ}$ of AAT (angle of attack), respectively. The simulation results agreed reasonably up to $10^{\circ}$ of AAT. However, at a greater AAT $(<12^{\circ})$ the simulated total lift continuously increased to $105kg_f$, comparing with a decreasing experimental total lift due to the lack of engine power. At a stiff angle of $18^{\circ}$ AAT, a wake was observed at the trailing edge of the airfoil. A rated operating condition determined from the previous paper was also verified through the simulation.

  • This paper is the study on the establishment of design model to improve design efficiency using modified weight estimation equation on the initial design stage for development of a helicopter. The methodology to extract coefficients of the weight estimation equation was proposed through the influence investigation for the weight of components and the parameter study and sensitivity analysis for design variables such as the rotor disk loading, the number of blade and the aspect ratio of blade were also performed. As a result of study, the relation of parameters and degree of sensitivity of parameters on helicopter design are considerable points for optimization of helicopter characteristics, and it is necessary for designer to consider the complex relation of main parameters.

  • It is necessary to respond to criminal cases on board of pelagic fishing boats in the international waters with domestic legal judgement and international legal judgement due to a natural limitation by geographical long distance while it is possible to deal with domestic criminal cases with prompt response by using air crafts or patrol vessels. In other words, according to the flag of the vessel, the legal status of the water where is the crime scene, the nationalities of the victim and the perpetrator, it is required to judge if Korea can exert their jurisdiction and there is an issue if Korea Coast Guard exert their law enforcement effectively with this natural problem. In this paper, I propose a systemic improvement for a swift investigation for henceforth similar case's occurrence by analyzing the jurisdiction, the suspect's handling, the basic cause of the murder on-board which are based on the case of the vessel No.803 Gwang-Hyeon which was happened recently.

  • The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) legislates the CS-E (Certification Specification-Engine) for type certification of aircraft engines. According to the CS-E, engine manufacturers (type certificate holders) the need to show compliance of continued airworthiness of an engine during the overhaul, and the Accelerated Mission Test (AMT) is usually accepted as means of compliance. As a part of the Korean Civil Helicopter program, the engine has been developed with foreign manufacturers to achieve the EASA engine type certificate. In this study, the AMT procedure is planned for the engine to be certified by the EASA, and AMT cycles are also established to meet airworthiness requirements of the CS-E in consideration of the engine design and operation characteristics.

  • To improve not only the basic performance but also the fail-safe performance, power consumption of the main landing gear for helicopters, a semi-active control landing gear using hybrid MR damper, was introduced in this paper. This damper of the configuration to install a permanent magnet in a electromagnet MR damper, was designed by the trade-off study on permanent magnet location and a magnet field analysis. Force control algorithm which keep the sum of air spring force and damping force at a specified value during landing, was used for the controller. The drop simulations using ADAMS Model for this semi-active control landing gear, were done. The improvement of the preceding performances as the result to evaluate the landing performance by the simulations, has been confirmed.

산림청, 산림훼손 적극 방지키로 - 백두대간보전 등을 위한 '산림피해 확대방지대책' 수립$\cdot$시행

  • 산림청에서는 백두대간을 체계적으로 보전하고 골프장 설치등으로 산림이 무분별하게 훼손되는 일이 없도록 하기 위하여 '산림피해 확대방지 종합대책'을 수립$\cdot$시행한다고 밝혔다. 산림청은 그동안 많은 논란이 있었던 백두대간의 실체규명과 보전을 위하여 백두대간의 개념 및 보전에 필요한 사항 등을 2000년중으로 정립, 제도화하는 방안을 강구키로 하였다. 또한 건설교통부가 국토이용계획을 변경하고자 산림청과 협의할 때 적용하는 산림청의 '국토이용계획변경 협의기준'을 강화하는 내용으로 금년 하반기에 개정하기로 하였다. 스키장$\cdot$골프장 등 설치로 백두대간이 훼손되지 않도록 백두대간 마루금 침범을 금지하는 내용으로 개정하고 집단묘지개발시 피해유발 우려가 있는 경사 30$\%$이상지역, 마사토지역과 경관지역은 묘지개발을 금지하게 할 계획이다. 또한 무분별한 산림형질변경을 제도적으로 방지하기 위하여 현행 시장$\cdot$군수로 되어 있는 산림형질변경허가권자를 시$\cdot$도지사로 상향하는 내용으로 금년중 산림법 시행령을 개정하기로 하였다고 밝혔다. 특히 각종 개발사업 추진과정에서 장마철 집중호우로 인한 수해가 발생하지 않도록 하기 위하여 1년 이상 공사중단된 골프장은 6월중에 일제조사를 실시하여 장마철 집중호우시 수해위험에 있는 골프장에 대하여는 시$\cdot$도지사에게 요청하여 사업승인을 취소하거나 사업중지토록 할 계획이다. 산림경영 기반시설인 임도에 대하여는 피해방지 및 경관유지를 최우선하는 '환경친화적 녹색임도' 정책으로 전환하기 위하여 기존의 부실 임도에 대하여는 7월부터 대대적인 구조개량 사업에 착수하고, 내년부터는 임도계획 단계부터 노선등의 적정여부를 사전평가하는 제도를 도입하겠다고 밝혔다. 최근 산림훼손으로 문제되고 있는 송전탑진입로는 산림 형질변경허가를 엄격하게 운용하기 위하여 앞으로는 한국전력으로 하여금 진입로 설치 대신 삭도$\cdot$모노레일$\cdot$헬기운반을 대폭 확대하도록 조치하였으며 또한 이미 공사완료한 곳 중 피해방지$\cdot$경관유지가 필요한 경우에는 한국전력으로 하여금 설계를 변경하여 추가공사를 하도록 협의완료하였다고 산림청은 밝혔다.

  • The small tracking radar targets the target in a real-time, fast-moving, fast-moving target against aircraft with a large RCS that is maneuvering at low speed and a small RCS aircraft maneuvering at high speed (fighters, drones, helicopters, etc.) It is a pulsed radar that detects and tracks. Performing a performance test on a tracking radar in a real environment is expensive, and it is difficult to quantitatively measure performance in a real environment. Describes the composition of the laboratory environment's comprehensive performance test facility and the main requirements and implementation of each configuration.Anechoic chambers to simulate the room environment, simulation target generator to simulate the signal of the room target, target It is composed of a horn antenna driving device to simulate the movement of a vehicle and a Flight Motion Simulatior (FMS) to simulate the flight environment of a tracking radar, and each design and implementation has been described.

  • In this study, scale-down design of full-scale Korean Utility Helicopter (KUH) main rotor blade has been investigated. The scaled model system were designed for the measurement of aerodynamic performance, tip vortex and noise source. For the purpose of considering the same aerodynamic loads, the Mach-scale method has been applied. The Mach-scaled model has the same tip Mach number, and it also has the same normalized frequencies. That is, the Mach-scaled model is analogous to full-scale model in the view point of aerodynamics and structural dynamics. Aerodynamic scale-down process could be completed just by adjusting scaling dimensions and increasing rotating speed. In the field of structural dynamics, design process could be finished by confirming the rotating frequencies of the designed blade with the stiffness and inertial properties distributions produced by sectional design. In this study, small-scaled blade sectional design were performed by applying domestic composite prepregs and structural dynamic characteristics of designed model has been investigated.

  • Most warship combat systems inquire human operator to control several sensor and another equipments as well as decision-modeling. For this reason, many researches with multi-agent based M&S (Modeling and Simulation) have been increasingly conducted. However there cannot find any researches of M&S based analysis for anti-submarine warfare that requires a high level of mission complexity between multiple platforms. In this research, we have been developed various combat platform models such as warship, submarine and helicopter, etc. In order to apply the multi-agent-based M&S technology to the anti-submarine warfare i.e. a HVU (High Value Unit) escort mission scenario. Then we have successfully analyzed the measures of effectiveness according to the different tactics and different situations. In future, the defence engineer maybe employ our methodology and tools to analyze actual tactical problem by simply inserting actual data into our agent model.
