A Study on the Establishment of Threat Hunting Concept and Comparative Analysis of Defense Techniques (위협 헌팅 개념 정립 및 방어기법 비교분석에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, there has been a growing interest in threat hunting presented to overcome the limitations of existing security solutions. Threat hunting is generally recognized as a technique for identifying and eliminating threats that exit inside the system. But, the definition is not clear, so there is confusion in terms with penetration testing, intrusion detection, and incident analysis. Therefore, in this paper, compare and analyze the definitions of threat hunting extracted from reports and papers to clarify their implications and compare with defense techniques.

  • 실제 디젤 자동차를 운행할 때 헌팅이나 서지현상이 발생하여 운전상 좋지 못한 현상이 발생한다. 자동차의 디젤기관은 회전수의 안정화를 도모하기 위해서 연료 분사펌퍼의 분사량 조정봉(Rack)을 가바나의 조속기에 의해 위치 제어할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 헌팅을 억제할 목적으로 종래에 사용한 기계식 가바나 대신에 최근에 등장하고 비교적 자유로운 제어규칙을 갖도록 할 수 있는 전자식 가바나를 사용할 때 헌칭이 발생하는 조건이 시뮬레이션을 통하여 조사검토 할 수 있음을 나타내었다. 이 결과에 기초하여 헌칭의 억제는 운전상태에 따라 행할 수 있는 헌팅 억제 규칙을 얻었다.

A Numerical Study on the Factors of the Flow Hunting in a Orifice Meter (오리피스 유량계의 유동헌팅 영향인자에 관한 전산유체역학적 연구)

  • During the measurement of the flow rate of gases such as natural gas, flow hunting is observed in most orifice meters but the intensity of flow hunting at each metering system shows different characteristics. In order to investigate why such a difference occurs and whether the difference actually influences metering error, pipeline network analysis on the main factors and characteristics of flow hunting was carried out in a previous study. Following this, in this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis was carried out to clarify the relation between flow instability and flow hunting and determine the factors influencing the orifice meter depending on the intensity of upward pressure fluctuation, time interval, and flow rate. Finally, we showed that the pressure hunting rate is a function of the ratio of the pressure difference before and after an orifice meter. On the basis of CFD analysis results, we also presented some major factors and relations influencing flow hunting.

  • DC 80[V]의 주 전원에서의 방전 가공은 가공 시 서보계의 헌팅상태가 자주 발생되기 때문에 방전상태가 불안정 하였다. 본 연구에서는 DC 300[V]의 보조 전원을 주 전원과 중첩한 결과, 방전 개시 전압이 높게 됨으로써 서보계의 헌팅상태가 감소하여 방전이 매우 안정하게 되어 가공 능률을 향상하였다.

  • In most hacking attacks, hackers intrudes inside for a long period of time and attempts to communicate with the outside using a circumvent connection to achieve purpose. research in response to advanced and intelligent cyber threats has been mainly conducted with signature-based detection and blocking methods, but recently it has been extended to threat hunting methods. attacks from organized hacking groups are advanced persistent attacks over a long period of time, and bypass remote attacks account for the majority. however, even in the intrusion detection system using intelligent recognition technology, it only shows detection performance of the existing intrusion status. therefore, countermeasures against targeted bypass rwjqthrwkemote attacks still have limitations with existing detection methods and threat hunting methods. in this paper, to overcome theses limitations, we propose a model that can detect the targeted circumvent connection remote attack threat of an organized hacking group. this model designed a threat hunting process model that applied the method of verifying the origin IP of the remote circumvent connection, and verified the effectiveness by implementing the proposed method in actual defense information system environment.

  • Generally, the flow hunting is observed in almost all of the orifice meters but the intensity of the flow hunting is different at each metering system. In order to investigate the relations between pipe diameter and the flow instability or the flow hunting in a real metering system, a one-dimensional pipeline network model was built and analyzed for the examination of flow characteristics and relations to the flow hunting, changing diameters of the meter and the pipes before and after the meter. Finally, the effects of pressuredifference variation and flow hunting following to the variations of the diameters of the meter and the pipes before and after the meter were investigated and the relations were examined as well.

  • Dynamic analysis of the KTX can predict the dynamic motions in test drive. In this study an analytical model of the KTX is developed to find the critical speed. The numerical analysis for the nonlinear equation motions of 17 degrees of freedom shows the running stability and the critical speed due to the hunting motion of the KTX. Also, the vibration modes of the KTX are calculated using the ADAM/RAIL software, which show that the critical speed occurs for the yawing modes of the car body and the bogie. Finally, this paper shows that the critical speed of the KTX could be changed with the modifications of the design parameters of wheel conicity or wheel contact length.

  • The propulsion diesel engine have been widely applied with a mechanical governor to control the truck speed for a long time. But it was recently very difficult for mechanical governor to control the speed of long stock and diesel engine of truck because of hunting by dead time between fuel injection and power output. This study is aimed to configure the modeling for performance simulation regarding to diesel truck operation which could be suppressed for hunting. The modeling have been made on the base of dynamic characteristic such as electronic governor, injection of fuel system and operating states of diesel engine truck. Real model system have been introduced for deciding reacting parameters and for the comparison of resulting performance in simulation. In results of simulation, we obtained items which diesel truck drives for suppressed hunting.
