  • Military personnel work in high stress situations and carry great responsibilites, leaving them little time to plan effectively for their retirement; typically, they tend to assume that their employer (the government) will do that planning for them. Focussing intensely on their jobs, retirement often finds them ill-prepared, and this in spite of the recent increase in discussion in society at large about retirement and how to deal with it. Government therefore needs to be more proactive in assisting these occupational groups in their exit from the workforce, especially because, as the baby-boomers age, the rate of retirements will increase dramatically. As well, whereas in the past, an average retirement extended for roughly a decade, today, a retirement could last as long as twenty-five to thirty years, with attendant cost pressures on retirement funds. This in turn will increase the burden on the rising generation, who will have to pay for those pensions. But while government has a role to play, retirees also have to be more active in planning for their retirement, and in particular, planning for second careers, rather than simple retirement. Government can assist here by developing programs to help military personel find a second career, thus reducing their reliance on pension funds, and reducing financial pressures too. As well, such planning would emphasize and enhance self-reliance, which can only be to the good of the larger society.

  • Recently, there were some welfare embezzlement cases of public social workers. The purpose of this study is to explore public perceptions of public social workers by analysing the comments named "datgeul" in the internet media discussion rooms("toronbang") about welfare embezzlement cases of public social workers. The results show that the main discourse about public social workers to perform a dual role as the public servants and social workers on the front line of public social welfare is that they are the victims of both a public official system and welfare administration system. In addition, social workers in public sphere are still recognized as service personnels with sacrifice and commitment rather than as professionals. Finally, the implications of this study were discussed to improve public perceptions of social welfare professionals.

During the landing, ROK marine corp's was highly praised from US commanders that "No any defect was found from ROK marine corp's perfect battle performance." and ROK marine corp's spirit of sacrifice with serving our country presented a grant spectacle to all over the world. In these days, the reason why ROK marine corp's gains trust and has grow successfully as national army force is that it prepares national emergency though strong training during peacetime. • The aim of this study was to clarify how the role stress of administrative workers in medical institutions affects burnout, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The study conducted surveys on administrative workers at ten general hospitals with more than 200 beds for one month between July 13 and August 18, 2015. The surveys then underwent factor analysis, average variation extraction, a suitability index of the research model, and a path-coefficient estimation analysis of the research model using AMOS 18.0. The main results revealed a positive (+) effect according to the role conflict and role excess on burnout, and a negative (-) effect of burnout on job satisfaction, while they displayed no significant relationship with organizational commitment. These results suggest that clear guidelines and unity in instructions are needed to reduce the role of stress in cooperative tasks between departments and that optimizing the roles of organization members by accurately measuring and weighing tasks can increase the attachment to the organization and ultimately improve the individual job performance.
