A Study on the Personnel Records Management System of the U.S. Army in terms of Veterans' Welfare (보훈복지 관점에서 살펴본 미 육군의 인사기록 관리 체계 연구)

  • This study draws out the implications based on the analysis of the U.S. Army's practices(Army Military Human Resource Record(AMHRR) and interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System(iPERMS), Archival Information Service) and applies it to our military by paying attention to the importance of military personnel records and the thorough records management that are the foundation for promoting the welfare service projects of those who have committed to the nation. Through these, it is expected to contribute to the smooth promotion of veteran welfare projects and to create a climate that honors the military at the bottom of society in the future.

  • The aim of this study is to explore fathers' own expectations and experiences of fatherhood along with their views of what it meant to be a 'good' father. Qualitative methodologies were used; semi-structured in-depth interviews with 10 dual-earner fathers with young children. Interviewees overwhelmingly welcomed the opportunities offered to them by the new fatherhood model and supported a perceived cultural shift towards men and fathers being involved in, rather than detached from, family life. However tension and difficulty in living the ideal were also reported: gaps between perceptions and behaviors; struggle for traditional breadwinning role and caring; conflicts between selflessness and career and uninvolved in family decisions. Political and practical considerations are discussed, and the implications of this study for future research are identified.

  • This study aims to analyze school management consultants' competency from the perspective of professional and prospective consultants and to draw implications for their competency building and work. To achieve the purpose of this study, an importance survey and a retention survey of school management consultants' competency were performed. The main results are as follows: school management consultants' key competencies are concept, background and principle of school management consulting, process and method of school management consulting, contents of school management, listening and empathy, communication, problem solving, teamwork and collaboration, interpersonal skills, authenticity, commitment. Professional and prospective consultants' perception of school management consultants' competency were different, and importance and retention of prospective consultants' competency changed through the consulting experience. It is significant that the result of this study can be reflected in school management consultants' training and qualification and conform the 'learning' principle of school management consulting.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose plans of accounting transparency enhancement for Korean firms' sustainable growth and moral management. Moral management is not optional but essential strategy under global competitive circumstances. It has been proved that sustainable growth was possible through moral management. The plans of accounting transparency enhancement obtained from this study are as below. The implementation of early childhood education on the role and function of accounting, including contents related accounting ethics in university business curriculum or accounting curriculum, including contents related accounting(management) ethics in various accounting qualification examination, building and utilization of systematic knowledge base on accounting fraud, strengthen supervision for implementation of stable and reliable K-IFRS, improving public ethics through strengthening ethical awareness, devotion of community leaders for the nation and society etc.

  • This study was to summarize in Nursing perspective nursing missionary activities of Elizabeth J. Shepping, R, N(1880~1934), a Southern Presbyterian nursing missionary and explore Korean women's lives and Korean nursing history during the Japanese Colonial Period. Shepping committed herself to nursing activities, providing care to the lepers and patients mainly in Gwangju Jejung Hospital, Gunsan Guam Jesus Hospital, and Severnce Hospital, as well as engaging in nursing activities for disease prevention in local communities. She put much effort in educating women and nurses to help recover women's human rights, simultaneously spreading gospel for salvation. She founded the Chosun Nursing Association to help Korean community oppressed under Japanese colonial. Shepping's life based on her motto,"Not success, but service,"was holistic nursing missionary work.

  • For many years, there have been many researches and guidelines to improve the employment rate of discharged soldiers. However, there have not been enough effective analysis conducted about the outplacement service and improvement guidelines. That is the reason why the satisfaction level of governmental supporting programs for the discharged soldiers stays at low level. Therefore, a methodical approach is needed for the discharged soldiers who have dedicated their services for many years for the sake of the country's security. For this reason, tools which can support build an effective outplacement service for the discharged soldiers are required. In this study, psychological, structural and environmental aspect of discharged soldiers were surveyed at the cognitive level based on the soldiers waiting for the discharge from military service. As a result, it became clear that psychological advice or support and job training for the discharged soldiers who executed long-term service are urgent. In addition, an efficient system can control and maintain the system mentioned above.

  • The study chose two people, KimSamuidang(1769~1823) and GangJeongildang(1772~1832), as concrete examples representing the common female writers in the late of the Joseon Dynasty. And study the recognition on reality and consciousness of orientation in the poetic literature. KimSamuidang is commit to the revival of his family to pass the test. And exchange with husband through active study literature and practice wife law. She left the largest number of works as a female writer during the Joseon Dynasty. GangJeongildang is a Confucian scholar and poet of the late Joseon Dynasty. She also spent her whole life sewing and suffering from disease, trying to create a dying family. Teaching her husband's education, she established self-recognition, encouraged and supported learning. They had a equality sense of marriage couple as academic friends, encouraging each other to study, and by passing the test, they tried to raise their families. Also, although poor in rural life, the mind was the Independent women who pursued comfortable life.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the subjective perception of Related group's Concerning the Identity of Community Children Center. Q methodology was applied of the study. 23 Q-statements were created based on selected 337 statements and were classified by 40 candidates who related Community Children Center. The obtained data were analyzed by means of PC Quanl program. The result showed that the identity of Community Children Center were classified in 4 types. The types included "Type I: the leading agency for children, families and communities", "Type II: Agency that operated by dedication and commitment" "Type III: Center that complements the family" "Type IV: Systematic operational support standardization is required. In conclusion, the results of the data revealed the importance of the various recognition-types of individuals related to the identity of the community children's center.

  • This research was conducted to measure the satisfaction level of users and the service quality of specialized libraries in the digital environment. 289 users of 24 government-funded institutes were divided into humanity/social science area and science/technology area for comparison. Using seven hypotheses, the tests were conducted between three independent variables, service quality, space quality, and information quality and one dependent variable, user satisfaction. It was concluded that the competence and quality of the librarian, library homepage, and quality of information are most critical for user satisfaction. Suggestions are made: an improvement in the service quality and specialization of the librarian's skills, a need for librarian's courtesy education, a provision of differentiated and specialized quality of information, an easy access to the library homepage, and supports on the contents and information search.

  • This study analyzed on the effect worker's organizational citizenship behaviors of vision sharing and values congruence in social welfare organization. Analysis results are as follows: the higher the degree of a certificate of qualification of social welfare organization's worker and the position of organization have on active organizational citizenship behavior in social welfare organization. Most social welfare organization don't effort for vision sharing and values congruence in organization. Vision sharing and values congruence in social welfare organization result in actively organizational citizenship behaviors. Social welfare organization's purpose are to solve the social problem in communities. Therefore, the administrator of social welfare organization strive to share the vision of the organization with worker, and should pay more effort in the selection process for selecting the worker that matches with organization's value.
