  • Kunsan port based on the selection of Kunsan Free Trade Area is expected to develop into a regional beach-head port and foreign investment area, and as the result it will play a great role in accelerating the coming age of the west sea. To promote the foreign competitiveness of Kunsan port as a central container port it can be pointed out that 1) to raise up the utilization ratio of Kunsan port as the front base of export and import by multinational corporations, 2) to hustle up the development of Kunsan container port toplay the central role as the composite container linkage central port, 3) to strengthen the attraction activities of foreign investment into the Kunsan Free Trade Area for the balanced development between regions in nation, 4) the support of both central and local governments to accelerate the comingage of the west sea are necessary.

Quality Characteristics of Noodles Prepared with Pine Needle powder and extract during Storage (솔잎 분말과 추출물 첨가 국수의 품질특성과 저장성)

  • This study summarizes our findings on the effect of pine needle powder and water extract on the quality characteristics of wet noodle and the changes of microbial count during storage. The lightness of wet noodles was significantly decreased with increasing amounts of PN powder and water extract added in the noodles(p<.001), whereas the redness and yellowness of the noodles were significantly increased(p<.001). Texture evaluation showed that springiness was the highest in the noodle prepared with 5% PN extract, whereas brittleness was the lowest in 1% PN extract. At the beginning period of storage, there were significant differences of microbial cell count in PCA and PDA among the samples, but a significant decreasing was observed after 6 days. In the relationship between sensory and mechanical properties, a negative correlation was observed between color and sleekness, while there was a positive correlation with redness and yellowness. Sensory evaluation showed that odor, taste, texture and overall acceptability were the best in noodles processed with 3% PN extract.

  • Wetlands, which provide various ecological services, have been regarded as an important nature-based solution for, for example, sustainable water quality improvement and buffering of impacts from climate change. Although the importance of conserving wetlands to reduce the impacts of various perturbations (e.g., changes of land use, climate, and hydrology) has been acknowledged, the possibility of applying these efforts as a nature-based solution in a macro-scale (e.g., landscape) has been insufficient. In this study, we examine the possibility of ecological network analysis that provides an engineering solution as a nature-based solution. Specifically, we analyzed how land use change affects the structural and functional characteristics (connectivity, network efficiency, and clustering coefficient) of the ecological networks by using the ecological networks generated by multiple dispersal models of the hypothetical inhabiting species in wetlandscape. Changes in ecological network characteristics were analyzed through simultaneously removing wetlands, with two initial conditions for surface area, in the zones where land use change occurs. We set a total number of four zones of land use change with different wetland densities. All analyses showed that mean degree and network efficiency were significantly reduced when wetlands in the zones with high wetland density were removed, and this phenomenon was intensified especially when zones contained hubs (nodes with high degree). On the other hand, we observed the clustering coefficient to increase. We suggest our approach for assessing the impacts of land use change on ecological networks, and with additional analysis on betweenness centrality, we expect it can provide a nature-based engineering solution for creating alternative wetlands.

  • 터빈 블레이드와 같이 회전하는 구조물의 파단은 공진 근처에서 진동이 발 생할 때에 이에 기인하는 피로에 의하여 발생한다. 그러므로 이와 같은 파단 을 피하기 위해서는 설계 단계에서 이론적인 계산에 의하여 구조물의 고유 진동수를 결정하는 것이 상당히 중요하다. 판이 회전을 받게 되면 원심력에 의하여 판의 강성이 증가하므로 고유진동수가 회전하지 않는 판의 고유진동 수보다는 상당히 증가하게 된다. 이에 대한 연구가 국내외에서 상당수 행하 여졌지만, 연구의 대부분이 회전의 영향을 고려하지 않은 정지판(stationary plate)에 대한 것이며 뢰전을 고려한 연구는 극히 제한되어 있다. 또한 회전 의 영향을 고려한 연구의 대부분이 해석 대상을 보로서 단순화 시켰고 해법 으로는 유한요소법과 Ritz법 등을 사용하였다. 이는 블레이드가 지니고 있는 기하학적인 형상과 진동 특성이 해석적인 방법으로 해결하는 데에는 상당한 어려움이 있기 때문이다. 실제적으로는 터빈 블레이드와 같은 회전체의 진동 특성이 설치각이나 비틀림각, 판의 형상비, 회전속도 등의 변화에 의하여 영 향을 받기 때문에 보와 같은 진동 거동을 보이기보다는 판이나 셀과 같은 진동 거동을 보이므로 보다 정확한 해석을 수행하기 위해서는 해석 대상을 판이나 셀로서 취급하는 것이 타당하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 위와 같은 이 유 때문에 해석 대상을 등방성 사각판과 직교이방성 복합재료 사각판으로 선택하였으며, 구조물의 고유진동수에 영향을 미치는 다음과 같은 인자들을 해석에 고려하였다. 1. 회전속도 (rotational speed) 2. 설치각 (setting angle) 3. 허브의 반경 (hub radius) 4. 판의 형상비 (aspect ratio) 5. 적층순서 (stacking sequence)구조물에 대한 동적실험(dynamic test)을 통하여 단기간에 동적특성을 결정하고 SDM(structure dynamic modification)이나 FRS(force response simulation)를 수행하여 임의의 좌표 공간에 대한 진동수준을 해석적으로 예측할 뿐만 아니라 구조물의 진동제어 를 위한 동적인자를 변경시킬 수 있는 정보를 제공하며 장비를 방진할 경우 신뢰성 있는 전달률을 결정할 수 있다. 실험적으로 철교, 교량이나 건물의 철골구조 및 2층 바닥 등 대,중형의 복잡한 구조물에 대항 동특성을 나타내 는 모빌리티를 결정할 경우 충격 가진 실험이 사용되는 실험장비 측면에서 나 실험을 수행하는 과정이 대체적으로 간편하다. 그러나 이 경우 대상 구조 물을 충분히 가진시킬수 있는 용량의 대형 충격기(large impact hammer)가 필요하게 된다. 이러한 동적실험은 약 길이 61m, 폭 16m의 4경간 교량에 대 하여 동적실험을 수행하여 가능성을 확인하였다. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. Development of Value-added Ketchup Products with Korean Chile Peppers(Capsicum annuum L.) and Their Sensory Evaluation (국내산 고추를 이용한 고추 케찹 개발 및 관능적 특성 평가)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop value-added sauce(ketchup) products with Korean advanced chile peppers (Capsicum annuum L.), determine their physicochemical characteristics, and conduct a sensory evaluation. American chile ketchup products were collected from American local favorites and analyzed based on their compositions. The Korean chile ketchup contained tomato paste(37.5%), Korean chile pepper(14.1%), sugar(14.8%), vinegar(14.1%), garlic(8.5%), herbs, plum extract, and oligosaccharide. Its physiochemical analysis showed: moisture $59.61{\pm}0.28%$, crude protein $2.18{\pm}0.11%$, crude lipid $1.99{\pm}0.04%$, crude ash $9.26{\pm}0.13%$, crude carbohydrate $26.97{\pm}0.48%$, reducing sugar $35.19{\pm}0.97%$, salt $3.04{\pm}0.04%$, acidity $2.22{\pm}0.01%$, pH $3.7{\pm}0.01$, and $^{\circ}brix\;36.3{\pm}0.14$. Korean chile ketchup showed higher overall acceptability compared to American local favorite chile ketchup. This result suggests the possibility for replacing chile ketchup products imported from foreign countries(USA and Europe).

Development of Value-Added Seasoning Products with Korean Chile Peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) for Grilled Beef and Their Sensory Evaluation (국내산 고추를 이용한 육류용 고추분말 복합조미료 개발 및 관능특성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop value-added seasoning products with Korean advanced chile peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) and investigate their physicochemical characteristics based on sensory evaluation. Ninety-seven chile pepper-related products were collected from American local favorites and analyzed based on their compositions. Yeongyang's chile pepper powders were prepared to develop Korean chile pepper seasoning products and measured for total microbial content (3.36 log CFU/g), moisture content (12.43%), total carotenoids (223.46 mg/100 g), vitamin C (290.33 mg/100 g), ASTA color value (149.37), and capsaicinoids (4.06 mg/100 g). Korean chile pepper seasoning samples for beef showed higher overall acceptability compared to American local favorite seasonings. Completed Korean chile pepper seasoning products contained red pepper (20%), various herbs (26.1%), salt (11.4%), dried mushroom (8.5%), garlic (8.5%), black pepper, curry, paprika, sweet pumpkin (5.7%), and citron (2.8%). This result might show the possibility of replacing mixed seasoning products from foreign countries (USA and Europe).

  • Concerning the political situations of Korea, after the coming of MB Administration the blockades between South and North has been deepened. Because of stopping of the tourism of Diamond Mountain, the Cheonan ship accidents and the ** bombardment of Yeonpyung island, the situation of confrontation of South and North is enlarged. After the death of Kim Jong-il, on 17 Dec. 2011, the new situations are opened in North Korea(NK). On the basis of economic cooperation between South and North, various logistical cooperation of South and North has been progressed. On November of 2002, the 1st Shipping Cooperation Meeting of South and North, which may be a basis of Shipping Agreement has been discussed. And the railway between South and North has been connected. This study, screening the change of South and North conditions, analyzed the tasks and current conditions of South and North logistics based on economic cooperation, with the previous researches and data of South and North Korea. And it grouped and suggested future development directions and practical agenda, after considering the recent changes. Furthermore it proposed the medium-long term logistical system of Korea peninsula and future strategies and vision. To solve the confrontation situations the role of South Korea is more important.

Supply Network Analysis of Second and Third Outsourcing Firms with E-Invoice at Automobile Parts Industry: Focused to Brake Manufacturing Firms (자동차 부품산업의 전자세금계산서 기반 2차·3차 공급망 분석: 브레이크 업계를 중심으로)

  • Supply network of automobile part is addressed with the e-invoices generated at real time. Automobile is composed of 8 modules. Firms which produce these modules are defined as the first outsourcing firm. Brake is the part of power control module and so, brake manufacturing firm is called the second outsourcing firm. In this paper, the third supply networks of brake manufacturing firms is analyzed with e-invoices and social network method. At the node-level, the third outsourcing firms are classified into 3 categories, interator, allocator and hub with respect to their role at the ego-network of each brake manufacturing firm. At the network level, A2, one of 3 brake manufacturing firms have more outsourcing firms and bigger centrality than the other brake manufacturing firms. Intre-firms trade patterns are, also, analyzed by using the degree of trade dedication with respect to the modes of business. It is shown that trade pattern of retail, commodity brokerage firm, rubber and plastic manufacturing firm are hierarchical trade because their degree of trade dedication is almost near to 1.

Innovation Milieu and Cluster Formation of Cultural Industries in Gyeongbuk (경북 문화산업의 혁신환경과 클러스터 구축방향)

  • Strategies for regional development has been implemented by facilitating the cultural industry since the mid 1990s. The government of Gyeongbuk attempted to establish the cluster of cultural industries and to enhance the capability of cultural industries. However, infrastructure of the industries is still weak. The most cultural industries are small-sized enterprises and are in low value-added production link in the value chain. This research examines the situation of cultural industries and then to recommend the direction of cluster of cultural industries in Gyeongbuk. The cluster of cultural industries in Gyeongbuk needs to be decentralized integration. Cultural industries in Gyeongbuk are found in dispersed regions with own cultural and industrial characteristics. The hub of cluster of cultural industries should be formulated to promote network among cultural industrial complexes in dispersed regions; thus, the hub is able to provide knowledge and information for the cultural industrial firms in Gyeongbuk. The supporting center as the hub of cluster has to input more energy to establish the on-line and off-line network among firms, and between firms and innovation agencies such as universities, cultural industrial organizations, and local governments. The cultural industrial cluster should be linked with IT cluster in Gumi and cluster of Daegu cultural industries to upgrade the value chain of cultural industries.

Effects of Scutellaria scordifolia Fisch. ex Schrank Extracts on Biofilm Formation and the Activities of Klebsiella pneumoniae (Klebsiella pneumoniae균의 바이오 필름 형성과 활성에 대한 병두황진 추출물의 효과)

  • The emergence of biofilms have generated urgent alarm in clinical and medicine manufacturing fields engaged in the search for novel antimicrobials from ethno-medicinal plants. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has estimated that 70% of all microbial infections in the world are associated with biofilms. In addition, the emergence of strains resistant to conventional antibiotics has become a serious threat to global public health. Therefore, finding alternative medicines is a major issue in the field of integrative medicine. In this study, four different herb extracts were screened for biofilm formation and the activities of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Of them, Scutellaria scordifolia Fisch. ex Schrank extracts had inhibitory effects on bacterial growth and biofilm formation. The Scutellaia scordifolia Fisch. ex Schrank extracts did not cause any cytotoxicity to L929 cells. The growth of K. pneumoniae was inhibited compared to other comparators in the experimental group containing Scutellaia scordifolia Fisch. ex Schrank. In a group of experiments with plant extracts, a maximum of 60 times the level of living bacteria was confirmed compared to the controls without the addition of the Scutellaia scordifolia Fisch. ex Schrank extracts. In a group of experiments with a significantly lower level of fluorescence extraction, differential interference contrast imaging showed that the number of K. pneumonae was reduced. These results suggest that extracts of this plant be applied as antimicrobial agents against K. pneumoniae, particularly in biofilm forms.
