  • This study aims to verify the structured relationship between college students' stress and their stress in the meditating depression and self-efficacy. Findings of the research are summarized as follows. The study looked into how stress would directly affect depression and self-efficacy. It was found that the stress would have immediate effects on depression and self-efficacy. In addition, it was noticed that stress indirectly influences college students' subjective happiness in meditating factors of depression and self-efficacy. After the investigation on the immediate effects of depression in relation to the self-efficacy, results of the study indicated that depression has an immediate negative influence on the self-efficacy. Self-efficacy appeared to affect subjective happiness positively and directly. However, its indirect effects on the subjective happiness was confirmed. It is to determine whether fairness had a mediating role in the relationship between self control and happiness. Participants were 275 undergraduate students. Self control, fairness, and happiness scales were used. For data analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, structural equation modeling analysis were conducted. The present study used structural equation modeling to examine the relation among variables. The analyses revealed that the present data best fit the research model in which self control were directly associated with happiness and mediated by fairness(${\chi}^2(51)=91.723$, TLI=0.919 CFI=0.937 RMSEA=0.054). The results indicate that self control affect happiness directly. And also self control affect happiness indirectly by mediation of fairness. Self control had a positive effect on fairness and happiness. This suggests that it is important to have educational and psycho-social interventions to improve happiness of undergraduate students.

  • In modern society, efforts to improve quality of life and happiness are emphasized compared to the past when economic growth was emphasized. The government has been implementing various policies to realize the happiness of the people through culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Cultural Arts on the improvement of the happiness index of Seoul citizens by dividing them into demand (enjoyment) and supply side by setting Cultural Arts as independent variable, unlike existing limited surveys or literature surveys, under the control of change, the temporal range was set for more than 10 years and then analyzed quantitatively by panel analysis. The results showed that the demand for cultural arts affects positively on the improvement of happiness index of Seoul citizens, but the supply of cultural arts had a meaningless effect. In order to improve the happiness index of the citizens of Seoul through supply, it is necessary to supplement the existing space and to promote cultural demand through differentiated cultural arts programs aimed at diverse classes but also the policy implication that cultural indifference groups and active participation of cultural underprivileged groups should be increased.

  • This study attempted to reveal the essential meaning of happy life for non-disabled children with disabled parents through a phenomenological research method for non-disabled children with disabled parents using welfare centers. As a result, 76 meaningful statements related to a happy life, eight categories of 20 topics have been drawn up, and the essential meaning of a happy life for a child is 'a happy life for parents', 'a life where parents are recognized' and 'a life where parents are no different from other families,' and 'a life where a child is living happily' as an 'economically stable life' and 'a life with disabilities' As such, I believe that since this period is important for children, there is a pressing need for ways to intervene and improve awareness of the disabled and the role of life.

  • Studies find that money spent for others (vs self) increases happiness. This study examines whether the hedonic benefit of prosocial spending varies according to one's level of loneliness. Given that prosocial spending strengthens social bonding, social spending was expected to have a greater impact on the happiness of lonely individuals. This prediction was supported in two studies that employed different measurements of prosocial spending (typical spending habit, Study 1; resource allocation task, Study 2) for predicting happiness either at the trait- (Study 1) or state-level (Study 2). In short, lonely people seem to benefit more from prosocial spending than less lonely counterparts. This research contributes to the prosocial spending and happiness literature by shedding light on an important individual difference factor, loneliness.
