  • The purpose of this study was to inquire into the structural relations between teachers' attitudes, academic engagement, task-solving behavior which are perceived in a physical education class. To this end, this study selected a total of 434 copies of questionnaires as final valid samples using the convenience sampling method targeting middle school students at 5 schools located at a metropolitan area. For data processing, this study confirmed the goodness of fit test of the whole model using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0, and then did hypothesis testing; the study results are as follows: first, teachers' attitudes was to have influence on academic engagement. Second, academic engagement had positive influence on help-seeking, while self-handicapping had significantly negative influence. Third, teachers' attitudes had positive influence on help-seeking, while self-handicapping had significantly negative influence. Lastly, in the relationship between teachers' attitudes and task-solving behavior, academic engagement was found to play an intermediary role.

  • This thesis examines the difficulties of utilizing the narrative and music of Pansori: 판소리 in Changguk: 창극. For this examination, I consider that the reason for the difficulty of making Changguk is the difference between Pansori and Changguk as the genres. Most of the Changguk based on the traditional five Pansori works perform the narration and songs of Pansori literally. However, the original narrative of Pansori has a distinctive dual structure since the formation of its first and second half is created separately. As the drama genre visualizes the story and emphasizes the consistency of action, unlike Pansori, the duality of the original narrative can be seen as the inconsistency of the action. In addition, since the sounds of the original Pansori are rather explanatory than dramatic even in the climax scenes of Jeokbyeok battlefields, it is difficult to produce dramatic scenes in Changguk. The voices of the military, not in the original works, play important roles in revealing the hidden theme effectively in Changguk. However It is impossible to relocate the original text of Pansori into Changguk, as even the voices of the military lack verisimilitude in terms of narrative. Changguk can only be developed as its own work by actively researching and dismantling Pansori .

  • Computer-animated crowd scenes are often observed in computer games and feature films. The common way to model locomotion of large human crowds is to employ agent based methods where the behavior of each person is independently modeled. But for large crowds, it is difficult for a user to control all the individuals using individual behavior model. Instead, crowd behaviors can be controlled more intuitively at the group level than at the individual level. In this paper, we present the group force field model to simulate path following behavior for groups. A group is a set of characters who have the same goals, i.e. the same path to follow. We also define three characteristics of grouping behavior: alignment, cohesion, and distribution. Our group force field model preserves these characteristics while avoiding collisions. By using our model, user can generate desired group behaviors from line-up behavior to lumped one.

  • In this paper, the causal relationships in Onward are compared and contrasted with the ones in Up. The characters in Up purposefully move to action for the given cause. The residents there accept the surreal beings as normal. Thus, the viewers understand such surreal beings in the scene as part of the fantasy world of Up. The protagonists in Onward also have purpose for the actions they take. For achieving their goal, they choose problem solving method from the magical world. However, there is no causal relationship between reality and their world. Thus, it fails to persuade its viewers.

  • Performing industries in Korea and abroad have been attempting a wide range of artistic experiments utilizing online platforms ever since the Covid-19 pandemic. Accordingly, this study will shed light on the functional characteristics of Zoom, which was used as a creative tool for theater performances. At first, after examining theater performances presented in Korea and abroad using Zoom and their characteristics, the production stage of the Zoom play will be analyzed by dividing it into following stages; a research-based pre-production stage, a scene workshop stage that composes each scene based on the script, a recording stage filming each scene on Zoom, and Streaming stage for presenting the show. Furthermore, the actor's approaches to acting in this production process was presumed to be separation of gaze, re-recognition of space, utilization of expressive gestures, and reaction as an active action. As a result, it proposes the possibility of ongoing development of theatrical work using Zoom and the evolutionary aspect of actor's acting approaches in accordance with theatrical work via Zoom.

  • According to recent embodied cognition approach, understanding of actions is not based on abstract symbolic process but based on mental simulation of sensory-motor information related to those actions. As supporting evidence, motor resonance effect is a facilitation/interference effect of motor response in terms of similarity between observed action and concurrent own action. In the current research, we investigated this effect in the situation to perceive a complex social action perception and how it would be modulated by perspectives of construals of the social action scene. For this purpose, we created three kinds of fighting action scenes of two people in terms of body actions of the subject(ie., hitting, stepping, biting), and described them in two perspectives; active and passive. During the experiment, subjects had to verify the congruency of the picture and the description first, and if they are congruent, they had to do two different actions in terms of color of following cues. In the first experiment, subjects' response time for stepping on a pedal and pressing a button were analyzed for measuring motor resonance effect for the foot movement. In the second experiment, voice response time with a microphone and button pressing time were analyzed for the mouth movement motor resonance effect. Results showed the facilitation of the foot movement(in Exp1), and the mouth movement(in Exp2) only when the action scene was described in active perspective. Our results indicate that the motor resonance effect can be occurred during perception of social actions in the real life situation, but it can be also modulated by the perspective of the mental construal of the action event.
