Research on applicability of Teaching-Learning Methods for Creative Problem Solving to a course in University (창의적 문제해결 교수학습법의 대학수업에의 적용가능성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore applicability of teaching-learning methods for creative problem solving which was designed to improve students' creative thinking and problem solving competencies. Methodology is literature review and focus group interview. The students who attended the elective course 'creative women and science' was participated during 15 weeks. Through this teaching-learning methods, students were fully aware of learning methods for creative problem solving, sought for problems, clarified problems, found solutions through discussions, and continuously examined ideas by receiving feedbacks. They could deduce creative new solutions to solve encountered problems regarding team dynamics and apply it in real situation. As the results of applying teaching-learning methods for creative problem solving to a course in University, it had the advantages of enhancing students' competencies in analyzing problems and applying derived solutions in actual field.

Improvement of the Soil Pollution Investigation in South Korea and Gyeonggi-do (전국 및 경기도를 대상으로 한 토양오염실태조사의 효율성 제고방안)

  • The purpose of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of soil pollution investigation conducted at South Korea and Gyeonggi-do, and to drive the way to improve its efficiency. The average pollution discovery rates in the soil pollution investigation were 2,7% in South Korea and 1.9% in Gyeonggi-do respectively during the last six years (2002${\sim}$2007), which the discovery rates were lower than those of Japan and United States of America. The exceeding rate of the Korea soil pollution standard of the heavy metal and petroleum compounds in the soil pollution investigation were 89.8% and 8.9%, respectively in the whole country. The investigation rate of topsoil for heavy metal and deepsoil analysis for petroleum compounds analysis were 38% and 62% respectively. This show contradictory result which is demanded the improvement of investigation method on the deep soil. The main steps affecting the discovery rate of soil pollution were site selection step, sampling step and analysis step. We suggested the the guideline of priority on the site selection step which was the most important step. Also, the certificate need to be provided to the companies which have lower soil pollution degree after conducting the soil pollution investigation.

Assessment of Natural Environment - I. Selection of Plant Taxa - (자연환경 평가 - I.식물군의 선정 -)

  • This study aim was to propose plant taxa as an alternative proposal for the purpose of solving many kinds of difficulties occurred in the floral item of environmental impact assessment (EIA) used to date. Plant taxa presented here for environmental assessment can probably be useful in understanding the excellence of natural environment to specific regional space as well as in determining the order of priority as to species preservation. These taxa, selected by the floristic analysis with distributional range, can be classified into five degrees: the fifth degree, characterized by the discontinuous and/or isolated distribution, includes 83 taxa, 76 genera, 41 families; the fourth degree, occurred in only one subprovince as southern and northern plants, includes 314 taxa, 217 genera, 78 families; the third degree, two subprovinces as southern and northern plants, includes 307 taxa, 223 genera, 93 families; the second degree, generally distributed more than 1,000 meter in altitude, a whole subprovince, includes 109 taxa, 92 genera, 43 families; the first degree, at least three subprovinces, includes 258 taxa, 207 genera, 91 families. The taxa mentioned here environmental assessment, therefore, summed up to 1,071 taxa, 559 genera, 142 families from the Korean flora. It is suggested that the taxa belonging to the fifth degree might structually have by far extinctive possibility in respond to environmental damage comparing with other degrees, simply because these have narrow distributional ranges. Prediction of Landslides and Determination of Its Variable Importance Using AutoML (AutoML을 이용한 산사태 예측 및 변수 중요도 산정)

  • This study was performed to develop a model to predict landslides and determine the variable importance of landslides susceptibility factors based on the probabilistic prediction of landslides occurring on slopes along the road. Field survey data of 30,615 slopes from 2007 to 2020 in Korea were analyzed to develop a landslide prediction model. Of the total 131 variable factors, 17 topographic factors and 114 geological factors (including 89 bedrocks) were used to predict landslides. Automated machine learning (AutoML) was used to classify landslides and non-landslides. The verification results revealed that the best model, an extremely randomized tree (XRT) with excellent predictive performance, yielded 83.977% of prediction rates on test data. As a result of the analysis to determine the variable importance of the landslide susceptibility factors, it was composed of 10 topographic factors and 9 geological factors, which was presented as a percentage for each factor. This model was evaluated probabilistically and quantitatively for the likelihood of landslide occurrence by deriving the ranking of variable importance using only on-site survey data. It is considered that this model can provide a reliable basis for slope safety assessment through field surveys to decision-makers in the future.

A Study of Nonpoint Source Pollutants Loads in Each Watershed of Nakdong River Basin with HSPF (HSPF 모델을 이용한 낙동강유역의 유역단위별 비점오염부하량 산정)

  • In order to estimate the non-point pollution loads from each watersheds among 209 watersheds, the calibration and validation of HSPF model were carried out based on 2012 in 2013 years. In the case of flow rate, R2 of calibration and validation were 0.71~0.93 and 0.71~0.79, which were relatively good values. With the respect to calibration of water quality, % differences between measured and simulated values were 0.4 ~ 9.7 of DO, BOD 0.5 ~ 30.2% and TN 1.9~28.6% except for Hwhangkang B site. In case of validation, DO was 0.2 ~ 13.7%, BOD 1.3~23% and TN 0.5~24.3% excluding Hwhangkang B. However, since the concentration of TP was very small compared with other items, the range of difference was large as 0.8~55.3%. level. As the result of calculating annual accumulative BOD loads for each watershed, it was found that RCH 123 (Uryeong, Gyeongsangnamdo), RCH 121 (Jinju, Gyeongsangnamdo) and RCH 92 (Daegu) were the high ranked. The unit watersheds including various landuse type susch as forest and agricultural sites in mainstream areas have a higher BOD nonpoint pollution load than those in dam regions. However, the results of the annual cumulative loading of the basins for nutrients did not appear to be consistent with the BOD annual cumulative loading ranks. Other factors that represent watershed characteristics such as landslope and soiltypes, including landuse pattern, have been found to be closely related to nonpoint pollutant loads.

A Study on Mobility Support Center Service Using Structural Equation Model (구조방정식모형을 활용한 이동지원센터 서비스 이용에 관한 연구)

  • Most local governments operate Mobility Support Centers to provide transportation convenience for the transportation vulnerable. A Mobility Support Center makes various efforts to improve the mobility of the transportation vulnerable. One of them is the operation of a Special Transportation Vehicle (STV). On the other hand, during implementation, problems, such as insufficient number of vehicles and high demand, have been found. Nevertheless, improving the service by providing a large amount of STV can be a problem in terms of the budget. Therefore, it is necessary to gather opinions of the users and identify the problems during the utilization of a Mobility Support Center. Moreover, it is necessary to improve various services to achieve a better and more comfortable utilization. In this research, SEM was used to analyze the importance of the Mobility Support Center for the transportation vulnerable. The importance and performance drawn and examined through an analysis and questionnaire survey were used to propose IPA results that consider the importance and performance at the same time. In addition, this research also suggest a service improvement priority based on the analysis result. For the analysis, this research conducted a questionnaire survey on the actual users and their guardians who use STV in Cheonan-city, as well as factor analysis and reliability analysis. The results showed that the 'Charge system' is not affected by the service because it is fully satisfied by the low price when compared to public transportation. In addition, 'Vehicle use' is more important than 'Convenience' service. IPA analysis showed that it is necessary to improve the priority, kindness, waiting time, and call center response for the better and more comfortable utilization of Mobility Support Centers for the transportation vulnerable.

Research on the Importance and Satisfaction of Selection Attribute for Hanok Village using Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) (IPA기법을 활용한 한옥마을 선택속성의 중요도-만족도 연구)

  • This study was conducted to research the Selection Attributes of tourists in Jeonju Hanok Village. The purpose of this study was to study the importance and satisfaction after visiting the Jeonju Hanok Village using IPA analysis, and to provide results and marketing implications. The survey was conducted from the October to the November in 2018. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed and 258 responded questionnaires were reliable to be used as a sample. The result of the survey was analyzed by using SPSS 15.0 version for window with Paired t-test and IPA method. Frequency Analysis was also conducted for the characteristic of samples. As a result of the study, first, the cleanliness of tourist attractions was the highest among the selection attributes, and the next ranking was in the order of parking lot facilities, natural scenery, food, and weather. Second, the natural property was the most satisfactory as a selection property item that tourists visiting Hanok Village were satisfied with, followed by climate(weather), regional characteristics, historical and cultural resources, and cleanliness of tourist attractions. Third, depending on the importance-satisfaction value of the selection attribute variable perceived by tourists visiting Hanok Village, it is necessary to develop various programs in Hanok Village and prepare measures to increase tourist satisfaction.

Quality Characteristics of Backsulgi Added with Job′tears and Brown Rice (율무쌀과 현미를 첨가한 백설기의 관능적 품질 특성)

  • This study attempted to examine the sensory quality, the degree of gelatization, color, texture and moisture content of Backsulgi added with Jobs'tears and Brown rice. The results were as follows: In sensory quality Backsulgi added with 10% Jobs'tears and Brown rice showed the most favorable sensory evaluation. In view of color, flavor, afterswallowing and overall quality, 10% Backsulgi was preferable than those of other Backsulgi added with Jobs'tears and Brown rice. The moisture contents was about 36-40%. There are not changed after 24hr and 48hr. L-value on the control group was high, 90.08. and Al, A2, A3 and A4 group were 80.65, 71.63, 68.66 and 61.50 respectively. L-value on the Backsulgi added with Jobs'tears was decreased as the amount of Jobs'tears. The gelatinization of Backsulgi added with Jobs'tears and Brown rice was Increased as the amount of Jobs'tears and Brown rice.

A Study on the Factors of Choosing the Liner Shipping Companies Using AHP Method by International Freight Forwarder (AHP기법을 이용한 국제물류주선업체의 정기해운선사 선택요인에 관한 연구)

  • The Purpose of this study is to identify important factors in choosing liner shipping companies using the AHP. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), introduced by Satty T. L. in 1970, is a decision technique the has been applied to private and public sectors and to group decision problems. This paper will demonstrate the level of importance in 4 major factors: cost, service, transportation and promotion. In detail, the 4 major factors are divided into 14 sub-factors. In the present research, various service attributes for shipping lines were selected from previous studies and the observed data for 4 main service attributes were collected through a questionnaire survey from 26 concerned international freight forwarder experts. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, it is found that the cost factor is the most important factor among the 4 main service attributes. It is very obvious that the cost factor directly affects the choosing the liner shipping company by international freight forwarders. Second, it is found that the second important factor in choosing the liner shipping company is the transportation factor and the third is the service factor. The promotion factor is underestimated, comparatively speaking. With the ever-increasing competition, liner shipping companies will need to study and understand the selection criteria of their clients(international freight forwarder), and apply the results to their daily and long-terms operations. In particular, liner shipping companies should establish a system to identify and sort the various selection criteria used by international freight forwarding companies.

A Study on the Selection of Borrow Pits by Using VE Techniques (VE 기법을 이용한 토취장 선정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to review that the VE techniques can be used as a selection tool of borrow pit locations. The analysis of the soil investigation report is performed for the selection of proposed borrow pit site on a large-scale residential development area. Possible earthwork volume of mining is estimated and the weighting matrix evaluation is applied to the VE techniques. After determining the evaluation items for VE assessment, important degree was calculated. The Rating and evaluation of performance is carried out on a proposed borrow pit site. And, development priority has to be decided for a proposed borrow pit sites. As a result, the relative construction cost is closely related to the haulage distance. As the haulage distance increases, the relative construction cost will be increased. Therefore, it was confirmed quantitatively that haulage distance has a significant impact on the select of borrow pits. Also, it was found that the condition of borrow pits itself is important, but it cannot be ignored the impact of the life cycle cost for the selection of optimal borrow pit sites.
