드론 핵심 기술 및 향후 과제

  • 최근 무인항공기를 지칭하는 드론 관련 산업이 미래를 이끌 신산업으로 부상하고 있다. 드론은 20세기 초에 군사용으로 개발되어 정찰 감시 및 폭격과 같은 군사임무를 수행하여 왔으나 최근 들어 독일 DHL, 아마존, 구글 등과 같은 다국적 기업들이 상업적 용도로 활용을 선언하며 연구 개발에 뛰어 들면서 그 시장이 예상보다 빨리 커지고 있다. 미국 틸 그룹의 보고서에 의하면 2013년 세계 드론 시장의 규모는 66억 달러였고 그 중 군사용이 90% 이상을 차지하고 있으나 향후 민수용 시장 비율이 상당히 커질 것으로 예상된다. 2022년에는 114억 달러 규모로 커질 것으로 예상하고 있다. 현재 민수용으로 사진 촬영용 소형 드론으로부터 정밀농업, 인프라 관리, 택배 및 화물 수송 등으로 운용 범위를 확대하고 있다. 국내 드론 산업은 군수 위주로 시작되어 세계 7위권의 기술력을 확보한 것으로 평가되고 있다. 무인기 분야의 연구개발은 국방과학연구소와 한국항공우주연구원 등 정부출연연구소가 주도하는 가운데, 한국항공우주산업, 대한 항공이 주로 체계종합(System Integrator) 및 비행체 개발을 담당하고 LIG넥스원, 삼성탈레스, 삼성테크윈 등의 대기업을 포함한 중소업체들이 부체계 기술을 개발하고 있다. 최근 소형 드론을 중심으로 시장형성이 가시화되는 민수 시장에서는 가격, 기술 경쟁력의 열위에 있어, 국내 산업 경쟁력 확보와 미래 시장을 선도할 핵심 제품 개발이 시급한 실정이다. 또한 무인기의 비행체 국산화는 상당한 수준으로 진행되었으나, 광학(EO) 적외선(IR) 카메라 등 핵심 부가가치를 구성하는 탑재 임무장비의 경우 원천기술의 부족으로 해외에 의존하고 있다.

  • 2000년 6월부터 정상관측 활동을 시작하는 다목적실용위성 1호 영상자료 및 과학관측 자료의 공공 및 상업적 활용 극대화를 위하여 위성자료 배포에 따른 문제, 즉 공공 및 상용분야에 대한 자료배포 방안에 관한 기본원칙을 설정할 필요성이 대두되었다. 이에 따라 항공우주연구소에서는 다목적실용위성 1호의 자료활용 정책, 위성의 운영방안, 배포방안, 공공 및 상용배포, 가격정책 등에 관한 자료보급 규정을 제정하여 효율적인 자료배포 체계를 구축하고자 한다.

Present Status of Domestic Air Transport Industry and Policy Proposal for National Carrier's Sustainable Development (국내 항공운송산업의 현황 및 지속발전을 위한 정책제언)

  • Korea's air transport industry has a 70-year history since Korea National Airline was establishment in October 1948. Korea has 9 airlines which have international air transport business licenses, and as of 2017, air transport performance(Domestic & International) is ranked 8th in the world. Through analysis of Korea's air transport industry, this paper examines the essential problems of the domestic air transport industry and what policies and laws should be supplemented, and presents an "Policy Directions for the Air Transport Industry" that can continue to grow into a global aviation leading country in the future. Analysis of aviation statistics shows that the nation's air transport industry has a very high growth rate, and national airlines continue to invest in sustainable growth. Furthermore, new companies are also trying to enter the market. As of November 2018, four companies applied for licenses for international air transport business, one for international air transport business (cargo) license, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is expected to decide whether to issue the license by first quarter of 2019. While some expect price reductions and consumer benefits through competition promotion, others worry about worsening airline financial structures and reducing safety investment due to competition. To sum up the problems of the nation's air transport industry, first, low-cost airlines focus only on attracting domestic demand, and thus have a weak foundation for continued growth. Second, the rapid growth in recent years has led to the lack of aviation professionals such as pilots and technicians and the saturation of slots at major airports. Third, since the financial soundness of airlines is not systematically managed, the financial situation of airlines can quickly deteriorate and the damage can be attributed to consumers. In order for the national airlines to continue to develop, the first is to focus on the endless demand of the global aviation market and to secure international competitiveness. Second, the government should support the airline infrastructure according to the size of the air transport industry, third, we will systematically nurture aviation experts who will lead the future of the nation's air transport industry, and finally, the government will have to continuously manage the financial status of airlines to prevent consumer damage in advance. Nowadays the air transport industry has become very competitive. Not only do airlines have to work hard for the sustainable development of national airlines, but all government agencies must support our airline companies in policy to win international competition.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of brand evidence on brand value, brand trust, brand attitude and word of mouth intention. To achieve the purpose of the study, a research model and hypothesis were established based on previous studies, and survey was conducted on 222 passengers who had used the airline. As a result of the analysis, sub-factors of airline brand evidence had a positive impact on brand value. Except for employee services, perceived prices, core services, brand names, and brand logo had a positive impact on brand value. Brand value had a significant positive effect on brand trust and brand attitude. It was also found that brand trust had a significant influence on brand attitude. This study examined the extended range by adding the brand logo as a sub-factor of brand evidence, and it is considered necessary to study including brand emotion in next study.

  • As aerospace industry has been activated recently, it is required to commercialize composite analysis software. Until now, commercial software has been mainly used for analyzing composites, but it has been difficult to use due to high price and limited functions. In order to solve this problem, automatic analysis software for both in-plane and corner radius strength, which are all made on-line and generalized, has recently been developed. However, these have the disadvantage that they can not be analyzed simultaneously with multiple failure criteria. In this paper, we propose a method to greatly improve the processing speed while simultaneously handling the analysis of multiple failure criteria using a parallel processing platform that only works with a GPU equipped with a CUDA core. We have obtained satisfactory results when the analysis speed is experimented on the vast structure data.

A Novel Cost Estimation Method for UAM eVTOLs (전기 추진 수직이착륙 도심 항공 모빌리티 항공기의 비용 예측 연구)

  • As increasing the feasibility of the eVTOL UAM(electric vertical take-off and landing urban air mobility), numerous corporations and laboratories are conducting researches. In the aircraft development process, estimating the cost of the aircraft is essential part in terms of budgeting and commercial viability analysis. However, it is difficult to predict the cost of an eVTOL UAM owing to various configurations and little open cost information. This paper presents a novel method to predict the vehicle cost of various eVTOL configurations by modifying previous studies of the aircraft cost estimation. A vehicle cost of Wisk Cora is calculated by the presented method as an example to illuminate the method. The method is indirectly validated by comparing the vehicle costs of six representative eVTOL aircraft with those from the UAM study reports.

Development of Seat Allocation Model with Individual Demand's Diversion and Upgrade (개인수요의 상.하 이동을 고려한 좌석할당모형 개발)

  • The concepts of static seat allocation model has been used widely in the air transportation industry, and proven as a good concepts for managing perishable assets. The paper analyzed, in realistic environment, the volume of Accept Demand and Reject Demand through several times' simulation experiments at each fare level by using C-Program analyzing process applied to upward and downward models of demand, to analyze the change of fare level when upward and downward shifts of fare levels' demand happen at once. As a consequence, I concluded that the revenue of the case to consider the both shifts of demand at each fare level is bigger than that of the case to consider the single shift of demand at each fare level, except the case to downsize the seat allotment at very low price when supply is bigger than demand, with developing a general model concerned with plural fare levels.

  • This paper presents a new airport slot allocation model that uses AIP model to balance the use of airport slots within existing capacity based on the limitation of capacity expansion of airport slots. This new model is called a 'balanced airport slot allocation model', which integrates the airport facility usage system, which is applied independently without linkage, with the airport slot allocation system, introducing the market logical characteristic of 'administered incentive pricing. In this paper, we propose a new proposal to dramatically change the airport slot allocation system in the current situation where the expansion of facilities is limited in the urgent problem of the airport slot shortage, and it is necessary to balance the airport slot allocation. Airline paying for the use of an airport slot can determine the slot of the desired time slot based on the costs incurred by differentiating in the new airport slot allocation model. This is a system that allows the airlines that are willing to pay a lot of money in the market to use preferred airport slots.
