  • The modulo PLL was applied to the implementation of frequency synthesis with the narrow channel spacing, many channels and three different frequency bands.   • WDR(Wide Dynamic Range) camera has been recently introduced to provide good detailed information for the extremely dark or white area. The double shuttering camera acquires two pictures with different exposure time for the same scenes so that each image has its unique information as for the bright/dark area. Those images are combined internally to produce an image with enough details. This paper proposes a NN based method to control the exposure time of the WDR camera. Our goal is to develop a method to automatically control the exposure time like human decision. A neural model is trained to determine to increase/decrease shutter time for the given situation. The ability to adapt to unknown situation is shown for the sample cases.

  • This paper is concerned with the experiments on the active vibration control of a plate with piezoceramic sensors and actuators. The natural frequencies of the composite plate featured by a piezo-film sensor and piezo-ceramic actuator are calculated by using the modal analysis method. Modal coordinates are introduced to obtain the state equations of the structural system. Six natural frequencies were considered in the modelling, because robust control theory which has inherent robustness to structured uncertainty is adopted to suppress the transients vibrations of a glass fiber reinforced(GFR) composite beam. A robust controller satisfying the nominal performance and robust performance is designed using robust theory based on the structured singular value. Simulations were carried out with the designed controller and effectiveness of the robust control strategy was verified by results.

  • Using the physics-based model for the vibration isolation system, the model uncertainties are described. With the model including parameter perturbations, the robust controller to meet the robust performance and stability is designed through $\mu$-synthesis by DK-iteration. The order of controller is reduced by virtue of Hankel norm approximation technique to allow the efficient implementation in the real-time experimental environment without any performance degradation. The performance of the reduced $\mu$-controller is accessed in comparison with the original one. The experiments validate the superiority of the proposed control scheme against the model uncertainties and its applicability with varying payload.

  • PLC(programmable Logic Controller)s essential components of modern automation systems encompassing almost every industry. Ladder Diagrams (LD) have been widely used in the design of such PLC since the LD is suitable for the modeling of the sequential control system. However, the synthesis of LD itself mainly depends on the experience of the industrial engineer, which may results in unstructured or inflexible design. Hence, in this paper, we propose a ladder diagram conversion algorithm which systematically produces LDs for PLCs based on discrete event models to enhance the structured and flexible design mechanism.

  • 신제품으로 개발 중인 초소형 CMOS RF 전압 제어발진기(VCO) IC 에 대한 공인된 시험 규격은 현재 개발되어 있지 않다. 또한 제조업체들은 고유의 시험방법을 보유하고 있을 것이나 공개하지 않고 있는 실정이다. 한편 일부 해외 제조업체에서 국제 규격인 IEC 또는 JEDEC 을 기준으로 시험방법을 제시하고 있지만, 이러한 시험규격들은 개별 부품을 솔더링하는 하이브리드 공정을 이용하여 제작된 VCO 를 대상으로 한 것이다. 그러므로 CMOS 반도체 공정을 이용한 IC 형으로 개발 중인 VCO 를 평가하기에는 적합하지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 신개발 부품인 CMOS RF VCO IC 에 대한 신뢰성 시험 및 평가 기준을 수립하고, 신뢰성 확보를 위한 신제품 개발 단계에서의 신뢰성 평가 프로세스를 개발하고자 한다.

  • 대기나 물에 용해된 여러 가지 유해한 유기물을 분해하기 위한 방안으로서 다양한 광촉매 재료를 이용하려는 시도가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 광촉매 반응은, 현탁액 내에서 submicrometer 크기를 갖는 반도체재료에서 발생하므로 처리된 폐수로부터 촉매를 제거해야 하는 정제공정 (downstream process)이 필요하며, 이는 경제적인 측면에서 큰 경비를 요구하게 된다. 이를 해결 하기 위하여, 가장 우수한 광촉매 재료로 평가받는 TiO$_2$를 glass beads, sands, silica gel등의 물질에 고정시키거나, TiO$_2$를 자성 입자에 코팅시킨 형태인, 자성 광촉매입자를 응용하려는 연구가 최근 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 광촉매의 고정화와 재활용 효율을 향상시키기 위하여 TiO$_2$ 나노입자를 y-Fe$_2$O$_3$ 나노입자의 표면에 코팅하여 나노입자의 큰 비표면적을 활용하고 미세구조를 제어하여 입자간의 고정특성과 자기적 특성의 제어기술을 확립하고자 하였다.

  • Petri nets have been introduced as a powerful analyzing and design tool for the discrete systems such as sequential control systems. However, one of the important problems in its applications is that the model can be analyzed hardly when we deal with large scale systems because of increase of the number of Petri net components. To overcome this problem, some methods for dividing or reducing of Petri net have been suggested. In this paper, an approach for hierarchical expression of Petri net based on Sequential function Chart(SFC) and Bottom Up oriented Mehodology(BUM) is proposed. Especially, some definitions and rules are defined in order to divide and compose sub Petri nets. A measuring tank system will be described as a typical kind of discrete systems and modeled by some sub Petri nets based on the SFC and BUM by the proposed method in this paper.

  • It is difficult to determine the feeding rate of coagulant in water treatment process, due to nonlinearity, multivariables and slow response characteristics etc. To deal with this difficulty, the fusion of genetic algorithms and fuzzy inference system was used in determining of feeding rate of coagulant. The genetic algorithms are excellently robust in complex operation problems, since it uses randomized operators and searches for the best chromosome without auxiliary information from a population consists of codings of parameter set. To apply this algorithms, we made the look up table and membership function from the actual operation data of water treatment process. We determined optimum dosages of coagulant (PAC, LAS etc.) by the fuzzy operation, and compared it with the feeding rate of the actual operation data.
