Fiction is a collection that most students read and borrow in school libraries. KDC has several limitations when students look for fiction books they need. In line with this, we surveyed various cases of fiction classifications used in libraries, bookstores, and publishers and use behaviors of fiction of middle school students. Based upon the result of the surveys, we proposed a better way of classifying fiction books according to user needs. In addition to the KDC number, color bands were attached according to genres so that users could easily find the desired books. These suggestions and other information will enhance the accessibility and discoverability to fiction books for middle school students and may be used as reference materials for fiction classification in libraries, bookstores, and publishers in the future.

One of Africa's most accomplished writer, Chinua Achebe is not only known to have to contributed to writing a renowned folk literature but to contributing to the expansion of the English language. This research paper seeks to explore Achebe's most widely read novel "Things Fall Apart" and his 1 other novel and analyze how the incorporation and purposeful use of Ibo words, proverbs and phrases contribute to not only conveying the rich African experience but expanding the English language.

This study aims to analyze remediation of games and fictions in Korean virtual reality game fictions and to derive the storytelling of virtual reality game fictions through them. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibilities that Korean game fiction based on the web can be expanded as popular literature. The main character of the fiction is a male in his twenties. In the neoliberal society, he is set as a member of the neglected class and lacking privilege. He enters the virtual world because of the deficiency experienced in the real world. It minimizes the mediation process between the real world and the interface. On the other hand, the repetitive actions performed by the protagonist belong to the category of self - destructive labor. As a result, he shows signs of narcissism. In the Korean virtual reality game fiction, the magic circle appears blurred, and the real world and the virtual world are linked. In this process, the virtual world functions as a substitute space to solve the problem of reality. The establishment of such a space, and the resolution of conflicts are merely narrative characteristics of Korean game fictions that are different from North America and Europe.

본 연구는 하근찬의 5.60년대 주요작품을 한의 관점에서 살펴본 것이다. 50년대 소설에 보인 하근찬의 정한(情恨)의 세계는 한탄과 설움으로서의 한으로 분류된다. 이들 소설에서는 한 맺힘의 근원에 대한 성찰이 부재라는 한계가 있다. 그러나 60년대 소설에 와서 하근찬은 정한의 극복을 위한 서사를 시도한다. 그것이 원한(怨恨)으로서의 한을 축으로 한 소설들이다. 이들 소설들은 한 맺힘과 풀이라는 구조는 이원대립항을 근간으로 한 서사이다.

<사랑 후에 오는 것들>을 읽으면서 자주 앞표지를 들춰보았다. 공지영이 쓴 소설이 맞는지, 자꾸 의아해져서다. 트렌디한 단어들 속에 살고 있는 소설 속 '홍'은 이전 공지영 소설의 주인공처럼 시대를 향해 전투적이지도, 시대에 짓눌리지도 않았다. 그녀의 소설이 달라졌다. <냉정과 열정 사이>로 잘 알려진 일본 작가 츠지 히토나리와 함께 데뷔 후 처음으로 '사랑 이야기'를 쓴 소설가 공지영을 만났다.

It is necessary to find a genre classification by reflecting the needs of users since a subject that makes up the highest proportion of books in the school library is fictions in literature and KDC cannot accept user's need to access fiction in school libraries. This study suggested the genre classification for fictions in school libraries through surveying classification of fictions in domestic and foreign libraries, and comparing between classification systems of online/offline bookstores, KDC and DDC. For developing the genre classification system, it is to collect genre terms for fictions, to extract 14 genre headings among them, and to assign the acronym of English genre terms as classification notation. For applying the newly developed genre classification, KDC number of one middle school library was converted as the 3 methods such as combination of KDC, genre term before 800 and only genre terms. This study could contribute to suggest the genre classification of fiction to reflect user needs and to overcome the limitation of hierachical classification in KDC.

The purpose of this study is to identify and systematize various facet elements required by users in fiction search situations from book tags to improve the fiction search environment. Based on the Ranganathan's PMEST formula, the basic facet system of the fiction was defined as 1) the personality that forms the fiction material, 2) the content and external characteristics that compose the fiction, 3) the reader interaction with books, 4) spatial information related to fiction and reading activities, and 5) time information related to fiction and reading activities. Out of approximately 310,000 tags assigned to 7,174 fiction, 3,730 core tags were selected and content-analyzed. As a result, various attributes were systematized around the top 25 categories of the fiction facets. The results of this study can be applied to facet navigation of OPAC and fiction DB in the future.

This study set out to examine the effects of usage characteristics of web novels, which have recently gained popularity in the Internet and mobile platforms, on the satisfaction and continued usage intention of users. For that purpose, the investigator conducted a survey with 333 web novel users. The survey results show that web novel users recorded a high level of flow when they had a challenging spirit and proficiency in the process of using the content. Their high level of flow in web novels had positive impacts on their satisfaction and continued usage intention for web novels. When they were highly satisfied with web novels, they intended to use the content continuously. Those findings indicate that web novel users should be encouraged to have a challenging spirit and proficiency in the content consumption process so that they can develop flow in the content. In addition, it is suggested that there should be efforts to increase their flow and satisfaction to promote their continued usage of web novels.

This study evaluated the fiction collection of Korean public libraries by applying use factor and suggested various measures to enhance collection development function. As a result, while the collection building and borrowing ratios of Korean literature in literature collection by language were the highest at 62.6% and 54.3% respectively, the use factor was lower than the base value(1.00). And while the collection building and borrowing ratios of Korean contemporary fiction by item category were the highest at 65.60% and 51.36% respectively, the use factor was lower than the base value and the use factor by year is decreasing in recent years. The reason is because of poor collection development. Therefore, public library need to consider active alternatives such as establishment of the collection development policy and fiction collection development guideline, composition of the fiction material selection committee, adaption of the dedicated librarian system for fiction material development, development and utilization of a selection tool for fiction materials, and periodic evaluation of fiction collection.
